The worst ever! I'm getting an B in the class, however, this professor is by far the rudest, most un prepared. This professor will threaten all GPA's. Do not take
tests are easy. she can be real sarcastic and mean but funny. gives extra credit. it takes forever for her to get our test back but we only had 3 tests and some assignments that are super easy!! take herrrr!!!
Great teacher, very sarcastic but if you show up to class and kinda pay attention you'll do fine. She preps you for all pop quizzes and exams so show up to class. But if you're late, she'll make a big deal about it. Only bad thing is during lecture she goes a little fast and doesn't post anything on webcampus so don't expect anything to be posted.
VERY sacrastic. super funny! chill class. Take the once a week class its easier. go to her office hours and she will help with anything! she is awesome for a law professor!!
Shes kind of a freak. Gets on your case if your late, take home tests, not too much homework. HAVE TO GO TO CLASS ONTIME. shes misses alot of class but expects you to be there 100%
she's an awesome teacher! very helpful and as long as you go to class and pay attention and read the chapters, you'll do fine. very funny and genuinely cares about her students. highly reccommended
She was my favorite professor this semester. She is really funny. Her tests are pretty challenging even though they are open book. But if you actually read the chapters and take notes you will do fine. Do not be late to her class. She does these group assignments which are easy but not very helpful with the material.
She's the rudest teacher I've never had at UNLV. Seriously, she is very picky and unclear on assignments. Her tests are OK if you read the book. She always plays silly games. I'm tired of what she did in class. Be ready to have pop-quizzes. Punctuality is a must in class, but she will make you embarrassed if you show up late.Overall, she is terrible
very distracting, ALWAYS strays from subject matter to discuss TV and sports with students. Assigned seating and mandatory groups. Would never take again.
i like some part of content such as roll play for student understand about real situation. she likes to make a joke which is fun sometimes. but unclear assignment, no announcement quiz. she's quite fair. sometimes rude.
SHe is the worst professor in UNLV!! SHe is really rude..!
Not a helpful professor. Tests are ok but not easy. Need to read the book regularly to do well on the exams. Way she teaches makes it hard to learn material and she assigns a lot of reading.
She kept talking nonsense,so most of the class chose to leave after the break, then she would start taking attendences.
Some people dont like her but personally I think she was one of my best teachers. You do have to be prepared for class (read the book) but she tells you exactly what to read. Also tests are open book/ open note.
She is incredible. Her final is ridiculously and unnecessarily hard and also tricky, I had to read each questions over and over again just to figure out what she wants me to answer. Her attitude is notorious. Take her class if you have any other options.
honestly one of the best prof I have taken at unlv. Took both 401 & 402 with her and passed with As She can be really sarcastic but if you read the text & attend class she'll remember who you are. You can always go to her for help even if not pertaining to class. Probably one of only professors I still keep in touch with and visit her office.
Unnecessary hard & difficult.
Graduating seniors do not take her class! well don't take her class regardless, but she seems to think she's gods give and above everyone else so she waits the longest amount of time humanly possible to posts grades. Pretty important if you're graduating. She's rude. Insensitive, brilliant, but a witch and has no problem making you feel stupid.
read the book...put your number on everything...attend class. this should land you in the passing zone but nothing is certain with her. the other students rating are correct...she will threaten your GPA without a doubt. she whooped my ass into shape but the class definitely wasn't easy.
She is a tough teacher but she really knows her stuff she also decides if she likes you in the 1st week of class it seems and if she doesn't like you watch out. The work load is big and you have to study for her tests (study the white material) and do all your homework, you also have to read a lot and participate. I ended up enjoying the class.
One of the worst teachers that I had taken. I had an issue with her and talked to my advisor about her and she doesn't have a great reputation. Every time I wanted to talk to her about my grade, she was never in her office. I regret ever signing up for her class.
She is exactly what you should expect when taking a law class. She won't take crap from you, but her commitment to doing anything she can to help you to be is out of this world. Not many professors will set aside so much out of class time to let you see exactly what you did wrong and why you were wrong on a test. Recommend unless you're lazy.
The worst teacher that I had taken. She treats her students like a teenager. No respect. A lot of reading! (no explanation, you have to find explanation by yourself). She is not good at teaching. We take this class to gain knowledge of the hospitality law. Students are not experts, so we need easy explanation, and lecture.
Hard to satisfy and makes you doubt yourself a lot. Tricky professor teaches a good lecture you CANT SLACK any minute with her. Attend all classes for your own sake and participate A LOT.
Cotham is rude, unprofessional, discouraging, and is guaranteed to compromise your GPA. If you push yourself, you will definitely learn a lot from this class- but you must ask yourself if it's worth jeopardizing your GPA. I've never seen so many students dislike any professor more than Cotham.
Cotham is very sarcastic and likes to torture those who come to class unprepared. She really wants us to know the material and she is passionate about teaching. She is very difficult and her class is extra time consuming. I will still try and take her for HMD 402. She likes group work too.
Even though her class is difficult than other HMD401 classes, I enjoyed this class. If you want to learn more, choose her! She is very knowledgeable. She will try to help you to understand. This class is senior level and it is a law class! it should be difficult! if you study, it won't be hard. I love her :) !
She expects you to come to class every week prepared to talk about the chapter from start to finish so read the book & briefs! She has a strong personality that you may not agree with. If you don't like her on day 1 then just drop the class. Her exams are very deceiving, so STUDY! I like her bcuz she pushed me to actually learn the material & read.
Counselor Cotham is a COMPLETELY different type of professor from any other I've taken before. Seating assignments, difficult exams, pop quizzes...I've even known of one Honor's College Student that admitted to flunking out of her class just so that she didn't have to be there anymore. In turn though, she has a side that seems to be caring.
She is way too tough for comfort if you aren't ready for the storm that will come during her course. She is very knowledgeable in her field but her teaching style just makes you regret ever taking the course. Get ready to be treated like middle schoolers with a strict seating chart, not allowing people to get up to use the restroom, etc.
honestly, cotham comes into class the 1st day and says she's not gonna mess around. you gotta work for your grade in her class. read the textbook and participate in class. study for every exam. never went to her exam review and still got a b+. don't get intimidated by her. first class at unlv i felt like i got my moneys worth.
I am currently in this class and need to get this done. She says she is always available to help, but that just means she checks her phone and email so she can send you snide remarks that don't help or answer any questions you actually had. She is extremely hard to get a straight answer from and the only thing she seems to really understand is law.
Prof Cotham doesn't mess around. She's strict when it comes to her assignments. She assigns group work so be prepared. She has a very sarcastic sense of humor, which she tells you of on the first day. The material is not easy, but it's a 400 level law class, you should expect it. Don't be too intimidated by her, she's great. I enjoyed the class.
Cotham is a tough professor and sometimes a mean person. I learned much more by reading the textbook rather than her lecture. I would never ever take her again !!
Currently in this class. Don't take it. She's just plain rude, its not even sarcasm at some point. Very disrespectful. I care about the material, but wish she wasn't the teacher
I took her class last year and it was miserable! A law course was already difficult enough but she made it even worse! She treated us like a kid with her disrespectful attitude and the ridiculous seating chart.
In my personal experience, Professor Cotham was a great teacher. Took her for 401 and now 402. A lot of students don't like her because they think she is rude, but you and I both know majority of the time students don't think before they speak. If you want a teacher that treats you like an adult rather than a student, take Cotham.
To be honest; I have taken Cotham for 401 and 402 and really enjoyed both classes. You really need to study for her exams, but for a 400 level law class that should be expected. She has a different way of teaching but I really learned a lot in her classes. She has been without a doubt one of my favorite professors at UNLV. JUST STUDY!
Cotham has a bad rep and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed her classes! She's an amazing professor, sarcastic and hilarious. I learned more in her classes than I have in any other. Her classes fly by and I find myself using what I learned in her classes often. Read your book and participate in class and exams will be no problem.
She is tough. She commands attention every single night in class and doesn't think anyone is funny except herself. She undermines her students, she randomly calls on you which she calls "oral quizzes" and she makes your semester dreadful.
You won't know your grade until end of semester when it's too late. Pass or fail based on if she likes you or not. Don't take if you are graduating that semester. You learn material off of students teaching the class through group projects. She does not teach it. Lazy. Group project based which can be a nightmare. Do not take with her.
Her reputation doesn't live up to it's hype. Yes, the class is hard. Yes, she is sarcastic and not the friendliest but she really cares about law and she cares about teaching her students. I will say she does not post grades promptly and her scheduled meetings can become a bit tedious. Overall, I enjoyed the class.
Her sarcasm became way too much and made it a hard learning environment because it makes you second guess everything. You can tell students are scared of her and are nervous to ask questions in class. Withholds most grades until the end of the semester which is unfair for graduating students especially. Grades shouldn't be a secret to students.
Prof Cotham is a super knowledgeable professor, she did want all of her students can learn something after her class. we only meet once a week. She had seating chart which will count as participation. Her materials are not very hard, but prepare to read before go to class, they are very long. She had three exams, very tricky and kinda hard.
Tests are tough and she does give pop quizzes so make sure to keep up on reading. She is also always available or makes time for office hours. Participation counts so make sure to show up to every class and turn in all assignments on time. Don't be late to class as well. She's also funny and keeps up to date on current events.
College should be hard but you should not fear going to class. Although I always read the chapters and was prepared for class I still knew if she called me out I would not know how to answer and she would try and shame me in front of everyone. She is one of the most disrespectful professors I have ever taken and the rudest person I have ever known
she sounds more of professional than teacher.. in other words the teaching skills is very low, she used the outside tactics she learned from the field (law firm) SO HERE WE GO, she made fun of students if they asks for something simple.!!! also there is an authority use . basically if you don't agree with her point you are going to fail. yes
Will be taking her employment law class. Anyone who says she's mean spirited or rude is right. But that usually means that said person was simply not prepared for class. About to sign up for the LSAT because of her class!
Honestly shes not for everyone, but I have never learned more from a class than hers. If you try and actually read, you will enjoy the class. If you mess around and skip readings, she has no problem embarassing you. Pay attention, be respectful, try and she may end up being your favorite professor like she is mine.
3 tests + various assignments. Relates lectures to life through coaching, wants you to think like manager. Gives freedom to express yourself, encourages independent/critical thinking. Respect her & her time. Dont BS your work, put the time & effort that she does. You will get out what you put in. She wants you to succeed but you have to want it too
Taking her for both 401 & 402 I could honestly say that Dana is very passionate about what she teaches. Although her class is tough, as long as you read the textbooks and do all your assignments you should be fine. Her tests are easy only if you prepare and study ahead of time. She is also really sarcastic and funny, which makes her lectures great
DO NOT take her if it is your last semester. Most of my class is failing and she seems to take pride in that. She might seem nice but she constantly makes rude comments to students. Her tests are extremely difficult. She also never posts grades online, so you will never know where you stand. Take a different teacher if possible!
Some people say she's the sarcastic and the B word... yeah, she kinda is. But if you have any sense of humor at all, you'll enjoy almost all of it. She loves talking sports, about your life, what's going on in school. She's genuinely interested in her students. Class is fun, engaging, and if you actually read are prepared... you'll do fine.
She is awesome! I loved taking her classes. She is sarcastic and has a great sense of humor. If you don't like sarcasm than you won't like her class. You need to read the book, otherwise you'll probably fail. She's easy to meet outside of class. Don't waste her time and she won't waste yours.
She just tries so hard to be funny just to keep students in class because she knows they'll leave. she knows most students are going to fail every semester. She seems to enjoy it. SO Rude thinking she is god and students are retarded ,Who cares if you teach this class or not get a life. Lol
Professor Cotham is hilarious. I Love Her Class! If you have any sense of humor, you would enjoy her class A LOT. However, she is a tough grader. Her exams are difficult. Even though you come to class every time, you still have to do tons of reading. The good thing is, she would adjust your grade based on your participation.
Cotham is knowledgeable. But! be prepared for completely unclear instructions, incredibly hard exams (even if you study!), and lectures with no notes so you just have to guess what is important and what isn't. Puts out announcements on Webcampus that are not sequential and aren't emailed so you have to hunt for them. Wouldn't recommend.
She is very knowledgeable in her field as mentioned by many, however her class is a mess. There are so many assignments and confusing grading system that she even can't keep up with it, thats why you won't get your grades till end of semester. Its interesting class, show up, participate, read, follow instructions (if any) and hope for the best
You know when grades are uploaded onto web campus and you can calculate where you stand in the class? Yeah get ready to not be able to do that. She gives a ton of extra credit though and I learned a lot but I can't really remember anything from lectures - just not structured enough to retain the information (no ppt). Just read the textbook.
As specific as this professor thinks her grading criteria is, its really not. Its unclear and the way tests are calculated and posted has been different for all 3 tests. Tests are about the only thing she posts in a somewhat timely manner, you're on your own for the rest until weeks or months after the assignment is turned in.
I love Dr. Cotham. She was definitely the toughest & strictest professor I've ever had though. GET READY TO WORK! Like it's mentioned before her grading system don't really make sense but if you read, show up to class and participate you will pass! She love quizzes. She is also very hilarious so if you like sarcasm you'll love her!
Being in her class is definitely very very stressful and frustrating, but at the end its worth it. I learned a lot of things in her class, very helpful assignments and discussions. The best advise from me is to participate, go to every class, take notes of whatever she is saying in her lecture and most importantly respect her.
If professor Cotham had a 403 I would take it. Dr. Cotham is one of the best professors at teaching law. The way she teaches is more logical. This might be why everyone says she is a difficult professor because honestly if you just read the book and memorize everything your not doing your self any favors. Dr. Cotham makes you understand the law.
Professor Cotham is one of the best professors Ive ever had. She definitely knows what she is talking about during the class. It is a hard class, but if you read the textbook and pay attention in class, you will do fine. If you have any questions, I surely recommend you to visit her during office hours. Good feedbacks will be give for sure.
She speaks too directly, I wont be surprised if anyone takes her words personally. Shes a little neurotic too. Okay, to be fair, she knows a lot in her area. However, she is proud and wants everyone to adjust to her style. If you can stand with her manner, you can learn a lot. Otherwise dont take her.
PART 1: Where do I began? Hmmm... Well I can definitely say that she is a challenging professor. Not in a sense that she wants to inspire her students to think outside the box, but more on a how can I make my students lives harder today. (THAT'S NOT IT, LOOK UP) ^^^
PART 2: I mean some of the things she does is super unnecessary. And she is not even clear on what she wants done with the group projects, when they are due, or what specific assignments are set out. I am warning you now, STAY OUT OF THE DANGER ZONE!!!
I'll start by saying I remained optimistic going into Cotham's courses as I assumed the negative folks on here were plain lazy. Wrong. This wouldn't be a tough course if it was taught by a good professor who cared. Plain & simple - she's an attorney by profession. Doesn't put grades in, won't let you speak to her in class, makes life HELL all term.
Very disorganized. Fails to keep up with grades. Won't answer simple questions during class time. Also, makes class very uncomfortable for students. I've never experienced such undermining "professionalism."
She gives you a lot of homework(You will spend up to 8 hours doing it). for the exams you will get no study guide. Your life will be miserable for the entire semester
She is awful. Just awful. Don't take her, you won't get higher than a C even if you study
Worst Professor!!!! UNORGANIZED and all over the place! Dont waste your money and time with this professor! Your not going to learn anything.
Awful. That's all I can say
Just don't take her. Save yourself money and time
Challenging BUT worth it in the end! She is very kind hearted and I highly recommend her for HMD 402! HOW TO PASS HER CLASS: Read the book, write your own notes, study for exams (4-8 hour), go to her office hours, do all assignments/project, and most important part is GO TO CLASS! BEST WISH to all that are taking her in future!
She hides your grade from you, does not respond to the emails, and won't talk to you even for an extremely small time unless it is office hours.
This professor is beyond unprofessional. She uses "lol" in her email replies and doesn't even know which student she is talking to. She emailed me blaming for something I did not do and when anyone posts a question she just deletes them before your classmates can help you. On top of that she's rude and looks down on you as if you are a 10 year old.
NEVER TAKE THIS prof!! Everything is unclear and confusing. You will not get you grade on time and you don't know how assignments count on grade. The information and assignments are a lot. Did 11 DUEs on one day. Worst professor! Learning nothing from this class. Don's waste time.
Bro we are two weeks into online class and I really don't know what is going on. SO UNCLEAR. I know she reads these so hey, please help us out. We are so lost.
She does not answer emails or text messages and will become very short with students for asking questions during zoom classes. Her syllabus is not updated for the online format and her assignment grid does not match up with anything she says in class. Nobody I have talked to in her class has any idea what she expects of us or what to do ever.
Very disorganized and at times, passive aggressive to students.
Professor Cotham is extremely tough. She seems like she really cares about the students, but doesn't show that when giving assignments. I remember one week she gave 6 assignments... in one week.... with no prior notice and it wasn't in the syllabus she just decided to add 6 extra assignments. DO NOT TAKE HER if you have a choice! I had no option.
This is the worst professor I have had, which made me come to this website to tell you. DO NOT TAKE HER. We have about 3 weeks left of class and of 20-30 assignments only 2-4 are graded. Instructions are so unclear and she is extremely disorganized. You will be lost the entire semester and will not know how you are doing.
Professor Cotham teaching method is not for everyone. Listen to all her lecture and take a lot of notes, just work hard and email her if you need anything. PS if your reading this THANK YOU PROFESSOR COTHAM I have learned.
Avoid her at all costs. She does not grade assignments in a timely manner (still have things to be graded from Sept 1), she is unclear in instructions and says to email her, but takes days to reply, if at all. Be cautious going into her class and check your Canvas often for new assignments that shell randomly assign.
Cotham is extremely disorganized, gives little to no instruction on assignment requirements and posts heavy assignment loads with short notice (contradicting her own syllabus). She is rude and unresponsive to questions or emails. She does not grade anything until the end of the semester. You will not learn anything that you couldnt google for free
I thought I was a generous individual. Before I took her class. Her class might not be extremely challenging, yet her class (technically a zoom call class that all the students participate) does not really tell you much. She does not communicate with students, does not try to teach professionally as a professor and just tell us read a textbook.
Do you like complete uncertainty, passive aggressive behavior, rude comments, and heartburn? Well do I have the professor for you! Prof Cotham is the worst (Thats right! Worst!) professor UNLV has to offer. If you sign up for her class prepare for a traumatic experience. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. EVERY NEGATIVE RATING IS 100% TRUE.
She's passive aggressive, rude, and unresponsive. We have gone months without grades for assignments. We have last minute assignments, with less than a week to complete. She is rude if she responds to emails. I would never wish anyone to be forced to take this class. She has not made "online learning" any easier with her lack of communication.
Don't take her class at any chance, she's very disorganized.
Will someone let me know when the nightmares will stop? Been two years and I'm still haunted.
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm on Deans List and have never experienced such a poor professor like Cotham. You have been warned
Passive aggressive, rude, and ego trips. Not worth it. Don't take her if you're a senior, she will delay your graduation
Worst Professor in the college, petty like a high school student. Controlling and not available for decent feedback. Very bad STAY AWAY. She should not be teaching, doing it for her own ego for some reason
I genuinely think she enjoys watching students fail. She does everything in her power to make the class as impossible as possible. She also hasn't graded anything so I have no idea where I stand in the class. I have never hated a class as much as this class my advice would be to run, run far far away. You do not want to take this class with her.
This Professor means well but inefficient usage of time, unclear assignment formats, very emotional, and takes random firm stances when not necessary. As long as you attend every class, actively participate, attend 'optional' office hours, and read EVERY assignment, you will do well. She's very difficult but if she likes you, you will be fine.
AVOID THIS PROFESSOR AT ALL COSTS! If you have a difference in opinion or point of view that she does not agree with, she will antagonize and insult you in front of the class. She has made several students feel worthless and "dumb" even though we are in college to learn.
Cotham is the rudest individual I've ever encountered. She makes class really uncomfortable. Keep your head down and don't let her know your name
I'm not sure why everyone else hated Cotham's class so much. It made me want to go to law school. Her lectures are required, although we didn't have one every week. The biggest thing is that you have to participate to prove you read the material. She doesn't grade throughout the semester, but does give enough feedback you know how you are doing.
If I knew I would have to take law with Cotham in the hospitality program, I would've chosen a different major or have gone to a different university. I am not joking. It's simply not worth it.
Cotham makes the class unbearable. Do not take her - avoid at all costs. She is the rudest person I have ever known
She is simply mean. The passive aggressive edge she has in her lectures makes me feel very uneasy. She will snap at students for asking respectful questions - as if it is not her job to teach.
Monster with a capital M. Never been so ready for a class to be over with. I know she reads these - take a hint or retire.
She takes a long time to respond to emails, does not give clear instructions on assignments. She OVERLOADS you with all of these assignments and information in announcements instead of just giving the instructions on the actual assignment. Very difficult teacher.
Horrible teacher, so rude for absolutely no reason. Teaching and assignments are fine but her attitude makes the class unbearable.
Cotham does not grade assignments till the very end of the semester and yells at students for asking questions in class. The rudest person I've ever met. Nothing good comes from Cotham, I learned everything from the book. Cotham provides only roadblocks, nothing else
This is hands down the worst course I have ever taken. I enrolled thinking it can't be as bad as everyone says, but it was worse than that. She is full of excuses as to why she didn't respond to you or why she didn't grade work. She is not willing to help students and if you ask she will make you feel stupid. She does not grade work on time at all.
Cotham is incredibly rude and will not grade assignments until the end of the semester. When she's confronted about why nothing has been graded since the beginning of the semester, she comes unglued and starts verbally attacking students in front of the whole class. She is not fit to be in a position of authority
We had a total of 3 weeks of no lecture (not consecutive), barely any grades were put in before the end of the sem, & her assignment expectations are all over the place. It's a bit chaotic but if you had no other choice but to take this prof it is passable.
Pure torture and I had to retake it. Prof Cotham is a very snide bitter lady who's constantly throwing backhanded complements and rude slights at anyone who can't read her mind when she asks a question. Lectures are filled with dead silence as everyone's too scared to raise their hand to participate. Assignments come out of nowhere with no warning.
WORST PROFESSOR IVE HAD. Prof. Cotham takes forever to grade things, meaning your grade is based off of quizzes and tests for the majority of the semester until she puts grades in at the end so you have no chance to see what you need to improve on. She is also horrible at answering emails, so expect to be ignored.
UNLV if you are seeing this please have her Fired, throughout the entire semester with this professor she has not respond to any of my emails as well as my other class peers, she grades so late, and we never got to see 50% of our grades before it was posted on myunlv. Who HIRED this professor?? she is not experienced at her JOB. #fireDanaCotham
Professor Cotham, to my understanding, does not seem to know how to work canvas. Her modules and assignments do not match up with ease or consistency. Some of the assignments had no submission boxes available. Lastly, some links that were supposed to be "visible" or provided were not. I hope that this was just a hiccup or a bad semester.
Half a semester is done, but only Syllabus quiz has been graded. Never get emailed response, so I've went during the break discuss my final due to classmate dropped out of the class, she rolled her eyes saying "I'm on break". Taking her class with my tuition is seriously a torture.
Class is over in a week and all we have is Syllabus Quiz graded. She is not present in her office during the office hour. With huge favoritism, she likes to discuss with certain students only. She is really rude, judges on others, I don't understand how she teaches "Diversity" when she was the most judging professor at UNLV.
A very incompetent professor does not provide accessibility for students to thrive and succeed. A very rude teacher overall and picks on students for no reason. All she does is talk in class and never grades anything on time, so beware. Also, be cautious of the random pop quizzes she makes.
This is the worst professor that I have ever encountered at UNLV. She constantly cancels classes, gives pop quizzes when we don't even take notes during her class because all she does is talk. She also doesn't grade anything on time. She is a very rude professor and likes to pick on students, so beware.
She may seem strict, but she really only wants you to be on time, wants you to participate in class, and wants to make sure you're reading the material. There were a couple pop quizzes, but super rare. One final group project at the end, but I didn't get an opportunity to do it because of what happened at UNLV. I would 1000% take her again.
Taking her summer class and her directions are unclear, she made discussions due on Thursday, although her assignments were all due on Sundays. This class has a lot reading, quizzes, and writing assignments in one week. Her quizzes also vary with written responses. Would not take again, a lot of ridiculous restrictions. (HMD 320)
On the syllabus she stated, this would be the most work you do for a 1 credit class. Throughout the month I have had 35 assignments, with 2 finals. Her response times for emails are long and most likely have to follow up with her if she doesn't get back to you within a day.
Takes too long to grade any assignments. Everything is unclear. Would not take this professor again.
It was all just a slap on the face, all the assignments pile up and her criteria's are unclear and confusing. I admit I could have done better but for a one credit class, it was a lot of workload that not even the 4 credit class I'm taking at the same time gave. Out of all the classes I've taken, this was by far my worst experience.
You wont know what assignments you have for the class until Monday the week of as it's not in the syllabus, average 7-9 assignments weekly. large projects you won't know until week of & still expect regular weekly assignments on top of the project. Gives 2 100pt projects due within the same week. A lot of busy work & wont grade until she's asked to
This class required a lot of reading, quizzes, and assignments each week. Cotham was often unavailable and unresponsive. While the material itself wasn't too difficult, Cotham's poor communication and grading practices made the class very frustrating. I found unstuck study helpful for keeping on top of the workload.
This is a very difficult class as it is and the professor makes it that much harder. This class is for two months and is averaging 15 assignments a week. Most of the assignments being papers. She doesn't grade on time and forget about her responding to any questions. I have other two month classes but the work load is easily 50-60% less.
