Mrs. Glencross is extremely hard, but once you've taken her government class you will be able to say that you actually know something about the way this country works. I had to do a lot of studying, but I'm glad I took government with her.

She's a tough teacher but she makes Government interesting and you actually learn things in her class.

Ok, Don't take the 8 am class, way too much info for that time of day, unless you are already really into politics. Good teacher, but not very helpful. Likes students that give her chocolate and golf balls! I'd say avoid the touble and take Steward!!

Dana is totally awesome. A real intellectual. Her class is tough, but you learn your stuff--and government is important to understand. About as un-biased as you can expect a PS prof to be. Dana Glengross for President!

Like has been stated before, she does not teach easy classes. But if you come prepared and know what you're suppose to do, you'll do well. Just don't half-ass it, and you'll be ok.

she's kinda hardnosed, but the material is challenging and it's easy to do well in her govt class if you take it seriously and don't slack. no half assing it!

Notecards-DO THEM! and then take them to her to review. She will make sure you have the correct answers. Study for test and be prepared! Use Comm. Lab for paper. Excellent teacher that really knows her stuff. Enjoyed the class!

Her online class is not a stroll in the park. She really wants you to learn material and understand it. You will do so much better if you understand material and not just memorize. Rough class, glad it's over. Got a B (Worked my butt off)

It is a very hard course. But, you learn so much..If your thinking about law school this is a must take course.

Great Sylabus, everything you need to get an A is in the sylabi. Bribery, yes this is one of the ways you can get extra credit but studious students can get it simply by participating in class. This teacher gives you all the answers in class, you just have to attend, read and pay attention.

I am not too sure what people are talking about "buy your grade" or "rude" I never got any of this from her. I made a horrible grade because of me. She gives all of the info I just didn't retain it. Ask questions if you are not sure and she will clarify right or wrong. Study ALL of the LO not just the ones labeled TQ or SAQ.

Everything you need to learn is in the learing objectives that she basically answers for you in her online class. I missed a deadline and she was grateful enough to open it back up with no questions asked. Not sure what the bribery is. Wish it were true though, I tried. I made a C only because I didn't study hard enough the answers she gave us.

Very good teacher, must attend class all the time, but she gives you almost all of the answers to the tests during her lectures.All you have to do is study the learning objectives and you can easily pass the class. She is very nice and always willing to answer questions. Dont take the class if you dont want to work

The class is very hard. She is helpful but she is a very serious teacher. The exams are very hard. I had to memorize roe v wade and that is about a couple of pages from memory. I didnt have time to finish the test and I would have made a B but she picked up the papers and wouldnt let the remaining students finish. This was my only C in college.

You have to pay attention in this class. She tells you exactly what will be on the tests, you just have to be in class to hear it. A little work is involved, but anyone should be able to get through this class just fine.

She is am amazing teacher. But you either love her or hate her. She tells you what is going to be on the test. Her test are difficult but if you pay attention she will give you 80% of the test in class. You have to go to class she will not give you the helpful hints if you miss. I wish she taught another class that i needed i would love to take her

Intro to Law is an amazing class because of Prof. Glencross. If you want to go into law take this class it will make a BIG difference. You must be in class to be able to pass this class. The moot cout in the middle of the semester is a KILLER! but is a lot of fun and you learn A LOT!! Take this class if you are serious about going into law.

Good teacher. Gives away a lot of test questions during lecture. Reading, note taking, and attendance is mandatory! Not an easy A, but if you follow the objectives and work hard an A is likely.

Always go to class, if you dont she is not willing to help you that much. She gives away tons of test questions in the notes. Test are hard and require alot of studying but she is a great professor. She can also be bribed with chocolate and golf balls for extra credit.

Tests are H-A-R-D!!! you must do alot of memorization, but you really get the subject down... she is truthful about how our government really works, and she is invested in her subject, polisci courses are not just something she does for fun..she cares about her students and will help those who help themselves and honestly try their best...

people, this is college&not an 8th grade govt class. she is not any more difficult than she ought to be. if you want to actually learn something,take her class! she doesn't drone on and on about only the boring stuff but makes it interesting by relating it to real life (i.e. how it effects you)but you will still have to work for a good grade

She is a great teacher. Those who are looking for an easy professor, do not waste your time. However, if you are a student who would rather be prepared for a upper level class at a University, then take as many of her courses as possible. You will learn way more than you think.

Not a hard class if you have a brain and can think critically. If you fail this class it's your own fault. Try learning to read. Great professor.

My favorite professor at OCCC. She tells you exactly what you need to know for exams, and expects you to actually do the work. Very straightforward, yet manages to keep the subject matter relatable and entertaining. Can be bribed with chocolate. Definitely worth taking any of her on campus classes.

She is a very good professor! Be there as much as possible because she gives test questions in the notes and sometimes gives you the answers on your quizzes! You just have to study to make a good grade.

If you think that Professor Glencross is too hard of a professor you probably aren't willing or able to dedicate your time to a tough class with complex topics like State and Local Government. That being said, if you are interested in learning how our State Govt. works you should consider professor glencross. she will push you to work hard and lear

Professor Glencross pushes you hard in the online class. But this class is manageable if you just stay up on your reading, actually do the learning objectives, and be prepared for comprehensive exams.

I'm usually a pretty interactive student with my teachers and their assignments..it's how I learn best. However, even though its college, her methods of open discussion and notes were very helpful; and definetly attributed to a decent grade. She gives you a plethora of online tools and material that practically spell out the tests..Very satisfied!!

Best professor I ever had. extremely helpful. also great person to know as far as networking. Tests were direct out of the notes and she will overlook your notes to check accuracy and tell you if they are on the test. Highly recommend taking her if you want to actually learn anything about politics and get a credit for class.

Prof has a great personality. Willing to help students with a subject that most could care less about. Don't get the comments here that the course is hard--do the work and it's easy! Yeah, tests are tough but not if you've done the study sheet. Whiners. Take the class and learn!

Took as online class. Lots of reading and homework but helped immensely on tests. Online posts/discussions were made interesting and relevant. Wish I had her in class. Great teacher if you want to really learn.

Also took Glencross online. Gave many, many materials that helped me learn a subject I really didn't and still don't care about. Course is easy IF you use what's there and do the extra credit for exams. I would recommend this course.

Great teacher and person! Class is involved with coursework but if you do the work, you are prepared for every exam! She offers extra credit left and right. Started out doing poorly on tests but by end of the semester, got an A because I did the work and all extra credit. You learn a lot about the subject. she makes it interesting and exciting

Prof. G took a crappy subject and made it very worthwhile. She cares a lot about students, especially online. Makes sure you get answers quickly. I loved this course!

This class is so much harder than it needs to be. I'm only in this class because it is required by my degree. I'm not a political science major. I find politics very boring and a bit too opinionated for my taste and this class is nothing but a headache. The professor is nice, yeah, but way too caught up in this subject for my taste.

One of the best professors I ever learned from. Her classes are hard,but she has depth in subject matter. Do the work, show up for class and you will do fine. I took her Intro to Law and State&Local Government. You will either learn or fail. She is for serious students only.

Glencross is great! Show up every freaken day, study, and do every freaken assignment, even if you have to BS it. You will get at least a C! If you do poorly in this course? It's your study habits and determination that need to be addressed.

If you show up and take notes you will pass. She gives extra credit on every test paper and assignment plus a super bonus at the end if you do everything. The tests are straight from the notes and learning objectives. I suggest this class if you want to learn quickly without having to do much. Reading can be beneficial but you don't have to.

Professor Glencross is one of the best professors I have ever had. You have extra credit on LITERALLY every assignment and she is more than willing to help you out if you get confused. Sometimes she is unclear in class, she is really into the subject and seems to forget not everyone is, but just do the objectives and you will definitely pass!

Professor Glencross is AMAZING! I took her for the summer intersession and it was hard but I made a great grade in her class. Be prepared to read and to actually do the study guides. Gives lots of extra credit.

Do not take her online. There are easier professors for that. I understand she is amazing in class but that doesnt translate online. These were the hardest tests I've ever taken. 25 multiple choice and 8 short answer (more like short essay). Completing the study guides is 10 extra credit points but they take approx 2-5 hours per chap. to complete.

If you take it seriously, she will take you seriously.

Dr. Glencross was a great professor. She has great lectures with lots of class participation, and really prepares her students to navigate government. I slacked so bad in this class and still passed with a low B. I had a lot of outside problems through the semester that really took away from my effort. If I would have tried it would be an easy A.

Glencross may be great in a class taken at the school but online it is fairly difficult. Her tests are extremely difficult with having 8 essay question/answers on every exam. I would not take her online class again.

Okay, so if you take Glencross for Federal Government just get ready to do your work. The work is not at all hard, just time consuming. Also she gives you numerous opportunities to excel in her class and the only reason that you should not do well in her class is if you don't study and if you don't come to class. I loved taking her class so much!!!

My Intro to Law class was the most challenging class I took in my first semester in college. This is a good thing because it is the class in which I learned the most. I saw someone mentioned "she takes her job too seriously" That must be a compliment considering it is what you should expect from a college education. If you work hard U will be fine.

Prof Glencross knows this topic and makes lectures interesting. Participation in class is essential. Study exam objectives. The information is relevant to today. It provides you with a structured guide on how to navigate issues with government departments.

I was worried about taking this class because I had never been in government before. But I loved it! She has very clear grading criteria and tells exactly what she expects in her syllabus. As long as you meet deadlines and put in effort the class is great! Very willing to help you with anything you need. I would definitely take her class again!

She goes in depth about the teaching and helps you understand by using situations that are going on currently. there is extra credit that can bump up your grade a lot. Pay attention in class, do your homework and you will pass.

Focus on reading your cases. If she writes it on the board you *will* need it for your notes. Exams are essay questions. Use the practice prompts to time yourself before the test so you don't run out of time. If cold-called, don't waffle, pick a stance, and reasonably defend it, even if she disagrees. Moot court is fun but hellish.

I loved Prof. Glencross, she had us do mootcourt and I loved that experience because now that I am at ou I realize that having taken her class was the best choice I could ever make. She is a great professor and very knowledgable. I would take her and any course she offered in a heartbeat again

I took her American Federal Government class online in the fall of 2019. For those worried about the awful essay exams mentioned here, don't be. Tests are now all multiple choice and fairly easy if you just read the textbook. Your grade basically consists of a few forum discussions, chapter quizzes/questions, and exams. Overall very easy!

I'm taking her AFG class online, and if you just listen to the PowerPoint lectures and take notes, she pretty much gives you every answer. If you are late on an assignment or don't turn something in, that's on you and there's no extra credit. I work full time, go to school full time, and I'm married with two kids... seriously, she's a good one.

She explains things very clearly. Lots of reading. Great PowerPoint lectures, work was pretty simple and to the point. Didnt take up too much of my time. Definitely would attend this class again if I could!

Professor Glencross was very accessible and always made sure to provide a lecture video and PowerPoint presentations for each chapter.

I had professor Glencross for a fast track class and she was great. She answered my questions. The grading criteria was clear. She gave you all of the necessary information to pass this class. Highly recommend. Just a heads up, the PowerPoints are long and dull but absolutely necessary.
