Cool teacher,makes class fun.

Great Teacher, lots of enthusiasm, makes you want to learn and inspiring

Dana loves to play devils advocate which helps give us new ideas. He's incredibly organized. His class is stuctured in a way to maximize learning and minimize boredom..cheers Dana, love the joke of the day!

Best professor ever. Very helpful and approachable. Need to study notes first, then text if you have time. In 1250 make sure you read the package before the exams. Trust me! If you spend the time to study the notes you'll do great!

Dana is an all around great teacher. He is always very up beat and never in a bad mood. I would definitely recommend Dana, even if it is only a 1 credit class.

How can people dis this guy? He's a great teacher, super friendly, engaging, and fun, and he makes boring info. entertaining. Labs are and easy A. The actual content of the course is challenging, but Dana's a great guy - you couldn't ask for better

Two words: the Best. HMPF 1120 was made a breeze with his clarity in teaching, helpfulness afterclass and office hours, and interesting classes. Is it just me or is this guy never in a bad mood?

I though Dana was a good teacher. He could have made us run a lot more but he usually let us do fun indoor activities. Sometimes he can be a little mean but thats usually when people are acting lazy or being stupid. I would take a class with him again in a heart beat.

Dana is an AWESOME teacher!! One of my 2 favorite teachers of all time. If you take his classes, be prepared to be entertained, to learn lots and do well. If I could, he would teach all of my classes.

Dana is amazing! so cool, really helpfull and really entertaining! His tests are pretty hard but they are all mostly from your notes from class, a bit from the text but not too much. If you have any questions just ask him, he'll gladly answer ANYTHING, he'll take the time to go over anything you don't understand until you get it.highly recommended!

Excellent teacher, I am not strong in math at all so I was really nervous about taking a math course, but Dana helps you with every questions and will take the time to explain it until you understand, take the course, but make sure you do all the work!!

Dana is the man! Very motivated, helpful and fun professor. I had little background in math and physics but dana made this class very clear and understandable. He is very willing to help you as well review your exams with you individually. Best prof in Hkin Besides Bob.

dana is the best teacher i ever had... i struggled so much in Biomechanics, considered dropping it daily after spending 8 hrs on one of the problem sets... he basicly tutored me through it and put up with my never ending e-mails and questions. He sat me down in his office and told me that i could do it and would not let me drop the course.

Model professor. This is exactly what a prof should be like. He explains everything so well that anyone can understand.

Good teacher, motivated attempts to make things clear, although Biomechanics can be very tough if you have no physics background. As far as help, he's always offering. And very organized

Dana is a great biomechanics teacher, who really wants his students to succeed. Exams are quite similar to the questions from the problem sets and his notes package. He's always glad to help out if you don't understand concepts, and his corny jokes make class fun. Nice guy, very organized, and a fast marker. Model prof.

I had Dana as an instructor for bio mechanics and motor behaviour. I have to say I had no interest before registering. Dana turned out to be out of the best instructors I have ever had. He was the first teacher I got an A from. He makes the course easy and will help you until you understand. I agree with the model Prof comment. He is that good.

you should take his class!

He is so nice and really clear at explaining. In fact, I didn't open the textbook once all term (DON'T BUY IT!!!) If you have Physics 11 this course will be really easy for you. Gives the format of the test and lots of helpful review. Highly recommended.

He explains things very well however the course content is extremely challenging. If you're not interested in it nor do you like loads of reading, then this class is definitely not for you. But at least when you zone out there's something nice to look at. ;)

Dana is the best example of an amazing professor. He is very clear and concise during lectures. His tests are fair and based on how much effort and "deliberate practice" you put into the course. He was always willing to help, you can really tell he has a passion for teaching. He's hilarious too! Highly recommend!

Dana is one of the best teachers at Langara. Passionate about his subject. Great lecture slides. Fair in labs and exams. Attending lectures will save you time since he explains stuff so well. HKIN 2230 is immensely interesting and requires no pre-requisites, take it! This is all coming from a CPSC student.

Took this course online. Lecture videos were very helpful in explaining the topics. Reading the text is a must in order to do well, however material is not that difficult. Dana is very helpful and responds to emails very quickly!

Great prof! Easy to get an A. I had this prof teaching lab material and Cawsey Ryan teaching lecture material. They're both good!

must attend every class because it's a lab obviously he somehow makes the LONG labs non-painful and is CRYSTAL CLEAR on the instructions and how-to's. and let me tell you some of these labs will take forever to do. this teacher actually has no flaws, his midterm is really easy too.

a great prof, gives bonus clicker points just for showing up to class. just make sure dont leave the labs at the last minute cuz some of the labs take hours to do, make sure you do a little bit of them everyday. had so many night where i decided to do it at 10 pm and then ended up finishing at 3 am

I took a combined course where Dana and Ryan Cawsey worked together. Both were amazing instructors, but Dana had fantastic instructional capabilities, getting the message across clearly. In my section with the two professors, they let us use a cheat sheet for exams, making them a piece of cake! If you've taken physics 11, this class is a breeze.

Highly recommend Dana! He's very clear about what he wants you to learn for the lecture and the practice problems and quizzes are very similar to what he puts on the exam. There are no surprises and lots of chances to earn a high grade in labs, participation, iClicker questions, and weekly homework assignments.

His lectures are clear and easy to understand. An amazing professor. I would recommend everyone willing to take Human motor behavior or biomechanics to have this instructor.

Best professor to take human motor behaviour course.

His course was basically on lecture videoes on d2l . He is really caring and motivating.

Has the chillest voice and makes sure you understand pretty deep topics in neuroscience. His quizzes are harder than they seem so make sure to take time reading through his questions, and watch his wording , it can be tricky. What you put in, is what you get out of this class. I scored my first A+ here.

Dana's lectures are amazing. He has a great voice for lecture recordings. He's always accessible outside of class and gives detailed answers for emails.

Dana is the absolute best. The grade you get is the effort you put in. His lectures are AMAZING, and he's super organized. If you need help, he's there for you and is extremely patient. Bless him.

One of the best professors you can have at Langara. The word limit provided doesn't do him justice either. Dana taught me how to study more effectively and helped me find my passion. He is extremely clear with what will be on his exams, as well as he doesn't ramble excessively about irrelevant information.

As someone who is not very strong in mathematics, I highly recommend taking Biomechanics with Dana. I definitely struggled in the course, but Dana was always open to helping me improve through amazing feedback and extra help during office hours. He cares and wants students to succeed, but he will want them to make the effort to get there as well.

Dana is so kind and I love his positive vibe. His instructions are very clear and I know exactly what to do to succeed. Lots of small quizzes for labs and lecture material to bump up your grade. For Human Motor Behaviour, reading the textbook is pretty helpful and required for the quizzes, but other than that, awesome class.

Clear and structured class, outlines exactly how to succeed in this course. Math isn't a strong subject, yet I'm doing quite well in this class.

The math involved in this course is very easy, just some basic physics equations. Dana does a good job explaining the theory behind the weekly topics in his lectures and his midterms aren't cumulative making the tests pretty short. As long as you can understand how to use the simple formulas you're guaranteed an A.

He is amazing. Even it was an online class, his good energy, his patience was awesome. Perfectly organized in lectures and material and is super clear about what he wants. Most importantly he is ready for help every time. You can even ask the one-on-one class if you have trouble. Take this class from him.

Amazing professor. I learned so much during this class. I went into the class worried because I thought that this class would be very hard. He explains the material so well & has zoom meetings to go over difficult questions

A great teacher. Pretty straight forward. Would absolutely take again. Clear lectures, very clear lab instructions. Test formats are fantastic: questions are almost in tiers, there are clear distinctions in questions to appropriately reward the difference between those who study, those who dont, and those who apply the concepts beyond.

Dana is the best instructor at Langara. He explains everything perfectly and this course is easy compared to other kin courses.

Took two classes with Dana and he is by far one of the most organized, reasonable, and respected profs I've had at Langara. I took his class online during COVID and he was extremely helpful in explaining concepts during office hours, even over email. You know you've got a great instructor when he requests feedback from students on his teaching!

Dana is literally the best! I had biomechanics and human motor behaviour with him and I am very satisfied with my grades and also learning materials. I would definitely recommend taking classes with him. He is knowledgeable and caring. He is passionate about teaching and he goes over everything in the most comprehensive way and at a good pace.

Dana was honestly so sweet and helpful. His exams are about 50/50 textbook material and lecture material. The lectures are not heavy at all and he really simplifies everything to make it understandable. The textbook is easy to understand so just read the chapters that are assigned and you're good to go. really recommend taking a class with Dana.

Overall a good instructor. Easily accessible outside the class. The flow of content was a little fast. Need to be attentive from the beginning or else it is challenging in the exams.

He is lovely, knowledgeable, and straightforward. Even if you don't study extensively and just attend his labs, you'll still manage to answer some questions. His exams are closely aligned with what he covers in class, with only a few questions from the textbook. Overall, I would take any class with him.

Dana is the BEST! His lectures are super easy to follow and he makes the content so simple. He is one of the nicest profs and always available for any questions. Exams are easy if you do the quizzes and the "check your understanding" questions. 100% would take him again for any course and wish more profs were like him!

Absolute greatest professor course is organized and makes content very easy. Replies fast to emails makes it clear how to well on exams. Very kind and easy to talk to as well. This is probably the best it will get if you think he's hard its most likely a skill issue.

This is a fully online course. Taking online is good because you can set your pace to watch the videos. There are 3-5 lecture videos and 1 lab video to watch each week. There are also lecture ad lab quizzes every week which worth 30% in total of the overall grade. Exams are not tough. This course requires not only memorization but also application.

He's the goat what more do you want? Lectures are very easy to follow and the content is so interesting, especially if you actually like Kinesiology. Dana is nice, responds quickly and is knowledgeable in the field. His labs are really fun too, ask him about his research, cool stuff there.
