the class is a cake walk, just write a total of 12 articles in a semster and u get an A. Also the class is a great way to get your voice out on campus. She is also very nice...not like u have a choice if u want thsi class, shes the only one that teaches

Ms. Peck is a great teacher! She tells you exactly what she expects from you and will work with you on your papers if you need help. Dont listen to the first comment listed about, that person has issues and does not know what they are talking about. You are lucky if you get Ms. Peck as your teacher!

I loved Ms Peck. She was great. I thought she was very helpful. She does expect for you to do your work though. One major paper, the rest are just simple stuff.

Any common moron could pass this class. She doesn't expect much from her students. If you think sociology is a legitimate field of study and you lean to the left politically -- THIS CLASS IS FOR YOU!!

ms. peck is an interesting lady but i enojyed her class. i learned a lot about writing a good argument. go to class, do the work assigned, and you'll be ok. throw in a little extra effort for an A. intersting class discussions..she'll really make you think and she refuses to be proven wrong, hah!

Hey it was summer of 2005 and i took Ms.Peck i had fun i enjoyed it i went to class everyday and I made a B+. My friend didnt go to class everyday and made a B+ so hey take her she is fun she lets you speak your mind. I LOVE MRS PECK :-)

What she teaches, she teaches well. Unfortunatly, journalism is a subject that you have to have genuine interest in, or else it's gonna seem like the worst class in the world

she's a great teacher. she makes you 'think' about what you're writing about, and why. all to often, teachers just want you to memorize material. however, dana peck makes you understand what you're learning.

CLAIM, CLAIM, CLAIM..this is what you will hear alll of the time in this class. Ms. Peck is a very good teacher and she will tell you what is is that she expects from day 1. This is a english course and you will have your share of papers to write, but she is fair in her grading policies. If you want to know how to argue and persuade take her.

My CLAIM would be that Ms.Peck was the best teacher I have ever had. She makes it fun to learn and express. I would recomend her to anyone. She is very humorous and witty and can make any 18th century writing amusing!

This was the first class I took after moving across the state for school. I had a realy rough time, and Mrs. Peck made it so much easier on me. She was very nice, and helpful in class, as well as very understanding about personal issues. If you were late, you have to apologize to the class, but overall I liked her a lot.

I like her a lot. Go to class and do the work. When I was on the Talon, she was a lot nicer. She treated use like adults and let use voice our opinion! She is a wonderful person and does not want any one to fail! I would take her again.

Peck does not suffer fools gladly. If you're looking for an easy 'A' that you don't have to work for, you won't find it here. As long as you put forth an effort you'll get at least a high C or low B. Those who try and want to succede will earn an A they can be proud of. Don't waste your money on textbooks if you're in her mass communication class.

Ms. Peck is the best English teacher I've had since I've started college. She is very clear and thorough. As long as you come to class and participate in the activities than you'll do fine! The papers do get progressivly harderer but nothing unmanagable. What ever you do....Don't be late!

Anal as hell about attendence and being late, used to make me stand in front of class and say "im sorry class for stealing your learning time" in college! but her class was generally pretty easy if you do the work.

A lot of satire

I took this class after being out of college for over 15 years. I was very apprehensive about taking classes again after so much time, however, Ms. Peck was extremely helpful and encouraging--thanks to her I am now about to graduate from TCC! She is an awesome teacher and her class is very interesting. However, you must put forth effort!

Ms. Peck was an okay teacher. She lets her class get out of hand during discussion. Dont be late unless you want to apologize for it. Easy but you have to do the work!!

Not an easy class but if you work you can get an A easy. She makes the class interesting.

I has Professor Peck for my suvey of Mass media and I loved the class. She keeps everyone interested. The exams were a bit tough, but if you just study the study guide, you'll do fine.

Good teacher, loves to humiliate students who come in late. She lets the class discuss everything, and is pretty open-minded about alternative viewpoints, which is nice. Does spiffy powerpoints which you can use to study with later (on Blackboard). Not hard at all if you do the work.

She is a friendly down to earth teacher, she listens to students, and tries to help any her students any way she can. She can be a tough grader, but if you put the time and effort in, you can get a good grade. I would recommend her class. She is an excellent teacher who has succeeded in making me want to write other argument papers, just for fun.

Awesome teacher, just took her for summer session C. I dont like english and i got an A. Fair with grading and always there for students. Little work throughout the whole class. I only had 4 papers, 2 in-class, 2-out. I highly recommned her.

I've always loved writing, when it comes to to arguement, hey! I bet you'll give me the cake. Ms. Peck Dana is the best professor I've ever had. She knows her stuff and extremely helpful. I got a 97-A+ in this class.

If you are willing to do the work and apply yourself as a student, then you will do well. There are no surprises in this class and she is very willing to help clarify any questions. I took this class online and was very pleased with the quality of teaching. She is friendly and encouraging, both in emails and in person. You will need the textbook.

I love this teacher. It's not the easiest course, but she is very clear and really fosters a desire to learn in her students, if u don't like to write essays or do research don't take it, but if thats ok and u like to learn take this teacher, shes great- and EXTREMELY hilarious

Make you show up on time, and use a lot of sources in your arguments. the more quotes you used, the better your grade.

Ms. Peck is hilarious! She's very witty, and she often says things to spark controversy and debate. I took her this summer; we had four essays and no exams, and she gives you points for just submitting your work to Smarthinking. She wants you to really develop your argument in your essays, but she's not an unfair grader at all. I loved her class.

She was an awesome! She has a true passion for journalism and makes that very obvious. She is easy going but has a low BS tolerance. If you take her class seriously, you'll do fine!

I completely loved Ms.Peck. She is soooo hilarious and sarcastic... She's also a bit feminist, but overrall her class was not difficult at all. I took her twice, once for mmc1100 (which i got an F in becuz i never went) and ENC1102(which i got an A in!) MMC1100 class was based entirely on group work.. but ENC1102 was amazing.. TAKE HER CLASS.=)

I took Ms. Peck's class online this past semester. Her instructions were very clear and it's nearly impossible to fail her class unless you didn't do well in 1101. I highly recommend anyone taking her online class. I learned a lot and got an A all in the comfort of my own home.

She is very into the subject of journalism any questions will be answered. I enjoyed her class in spring. A few journalistic style papers a mini project, midterm and final is all to get an A with attendance.

Ms. Peck was a great teacher. She was refreshingly strict and didn't tolerate bs in class, which I appreciated. She is a serious teacher with a lot to teach. She had a touch of sarcasm, but talked about interesting, relevant issues. Course is easy to pass if you have good attendance and do homework. I highly recommend her!

Ms. Peck is really funny and the class material is very interesting. The grades are mostly big projects which take a bit of work but are graded very generously. Good class if you like to think and discuss. You really only need the text to study for the midterm and final, but it definitely is needed for that. Definitely recommend taking this class.

Ms. Peck is awesome! She really cares about her students and wants to see them succeed. We had to write 4 out of class newsreports (2 of which are group assignments), and an MLA essay /paper. Would highly recommend her :)

Ms. Peck is AMAZING. so funny and interesting. the work is simple and easy, a great alternative for ENC1102. i would definitely recommend taking her class, she's so incredibly nice! just don't ever walk in late, especially during the first week, haha. If you take her, you'll see what I mean. :)

This was an online class. Professor Peck used Blackboard to the fullest. There are weekly assignments worth 10% of the final grade. She returns work quickly and responds to email. Be prepared to write in numerous styles. Two hand written timed writing assignments that make up 20%, plus a Rogerian argument. She grades fairly and explains your grade.

She is a great teacher. She explains concepts very well.

This class is pretty advanced for English; only take if you want to take up a field with english. She's witty and fair, attendance mandatory. She wants respect and participation. People say she's a hard grader but I got an A. Has in-class discussions/debates, makes you think, teaches grammar/punctuation. Do not be late. Overall I really liked her.

Ms. Peck is a hard woman--that being said, she is smart, sharp, and very witty. You never use the book. Don't EVER be late- she will make a good humored spectacle out of you in front of the class. Be prepared- writing for this class isn't like other english classes. Good learning experience.

She is alright. She lectures for too long. Gives a lot of essays and is a hard grader. She gives a lot to read, so if you are a reader you should be good. She does give out homework every time. Most of my classmates were half a sleep during her lectures. She easily gets annoyed with people going to the bathroom.
