Generally a nice and humorous guy. Willing to answer specific questions and wants his students to succeed.
Most lectures go the entire 3 hours because he covers material then provides application examples that he calls "fact patterns" these are very similarly structured like tests/exams so very useful in that regard. Lectures are dense but if you attend you don't need to read the text in depth
my favorite class and all because of him!
Best prof ever. Not even joking and I rarely make these type of reviews
Very helpful and gives great exam review's.
He is a hilarious guy who loves joking around with his students. He wants to help students achieve high grades. His lectures are fun to be in and are very interesting.
I absolutely loved this class. I wasn't confident on the first day because the class was pretty boring, but once Professor Alati gets into the swing of things he is very entertaining. His exam reviews are very thorough and he really wants students to do well. I would take another class with him in a heartbeat!
This was my favourite class I took this semester, and it is definitely due to Prof. Alati. He was extremely knowledgeable and was always willing to clarify things and answer questions. He was also funny and spoke to us as equals as opposed to speaking down to his students, which I really appreciated. Would take a class with him again for sure.
He made the class really interesting and he was always very helpful and gave great feedback. He is definitely the best prof I've ever had and I hope I'm in another one of his classes!
best prof for sure.
he was really helpful and it was a really interesting class
Took this class as a liberal and I loved it. I was already interested in law and Daniel Alati made it all the more interesting. He is so funny and so smart, which makes the lectures fun and actually interesting to learn the material. Midterm was hard but there were 2 assignments and a final that were all fairly easy. LOVED this class!
Although the lectures are fairly dry and straight out of the slides, i think they have to be because of the material it self. he is a good professor, really funny, makes sure the students are still awake by slipping a joke or two. Exams and assignments were fair. overall good prof.
Daniel Alati is an absolute gem. A true beauty. His lectures are cool, as he is hilarious and is willing to re-iterate what he means. He goes the mile to repeat anything confusing. And he is THERE for you. If you need help with a paper or assignment, ask him. He does his best to clarify things and even gives you some advice on how to approach it!
Prof. Alati is passionate and cares about his students. Lectures are pretty dry, so if you're not really interested in criminal justice this class will be pretty boring. No need to do the readings because everything is in the power points. He always re-explains things and expands when asked, and he is super helpful if you go to his office hours.
Lectures are long and dry, but makes sure to add some humour to it. Very nice too. Will bump grade if you ask
He is amazing. The best prof I ever had. He is funny and loves his students. He wants everyone to succeed. I have never wrote a review before but feel the need to because of my great experience. He makes you WANT to attend lectures! Fair marker! Great guy!
He's a great prof, great lectures he always makes sure he is clear and will clarify and repeat anything if needed. He's young and so he understands where we're coming from. Fair marker, great final exam. Very helpful, super funny, and tries to make lectures as interesting as possible. Would definitely take again!
Love love love love LOVE this course, always interesting and Daniel Alati is an amazing prof.
I took this class as an elective but it ended up being my favourite one. Daniel Alati is by far the nicest, most helpful, most understanding professor I've had since I've been at Ryerson. He's so funny & he's very young so he's relateable & he makes it as easy as possible for his students to succeed. I'm genuinely going to miss him and his class
Great professor, gives good feedback! go to his office hours they really help to clarify notes from lectures. His PowerPoints are not the best, he piles a lot of information that can be confusing. So don't take notes off of the slides but off of what he says. once again GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS, they really do help. Tests are also straight forward.
Has an extremely annoying and corny sense of humour, but his lectures are easy to follow and he's always willing to answer questions.
Awesome class
Daniel is a great professor and he did his best to make classes enjoyable. At times lectures were dry, but his sense of humor made up for it at times. There are weekly online quizzes completed in class (they were easy), one major paper, out of class assignment and midterm and a final exam.
Daniel is a prof who cares about his students, he tries to crack jokes because the material is sometimes dry. There is a lot of memorization in this course. The midterm and final were tough but all the other components are mark boosters. He never finishes class early. If you ever ask for help, he is more than willing to do so.
Absolute best professor at ryerson! He makes learning fun and you can see that he really cares about his students. I 100% recommend him!
Dr. Alati is maybe one of the most amazing professors that I've ever had the pleasure of learning from. His lectures are interesting and he is incredibly funny and entertaining, and the assignments are fairly graded and easy to make sense of.
Very caring, and super knowledgable! (AND HOT) Best prof at rye!!
Nice guy who is knowledgeable. His dorky jokes are cute (as is he) 10/10 would take again. The dude tries really hard to get you a good mark.
best prof at Ryerson ! very knowledgeable about his material. lectures are not boring and he makes it easy for you to understand material
Nice, fair, caring, hilarious, relatable, know his stuff, just great.
If you want to do well in this course with Daniel Alati, class attendance is a must because his lectures slides are vague and he expands on them in class. Its actually a smart way of making students learn and be more engaged in the course. Hes an awesome guy , very funny and makes you want to listen, I would love to have him as my prof again
He's the most amazing prof i have ever had at ryerson! He's so easy to listen to, and makes you want to come to class. Hes an extremely fair marker, and the course itself is pretty easy if you show up to class and take notes. Daniel really cares for his students, he gave amazing reviews, and always told us exactly what to study for precisely!!!
Dr. Alati is one of the best professors I've had so far. He's funny, very informative, very knowledgeable of the course materials and makes 3 dreadful hours of class go by quickly. The course consists of a court observation assignment, case study, midterm, and final. Show up to class because he expands on the cases on the slides.
He's the GOAT. Gives you everything you need, textbook was not necessary at all. Just need to show up and take notes.
This guy is the ideal professor for any class. It's rare to find a prof that has the balance of professionalism and humour that Daniel has. He ensures everyone is well prepared for assignments and exams and genuinely wants all of his students to do well. He's also probably the best looking prof at Ryerson if that persuades you. Definitely recommend
Honestly tone of the best professors I've ever had! Not only was he kind and caring, but he genuinely wanted his students to succeed and he went out of his way to make sure this happened. His lectures made the 3 hours go by so quickly, and on top of that he is so funny, helpful and extremely good looking!! Would definitely recommend his classes!
Dr. Alati. Is. Amazing. He's so funny and cares for his students' success! If you come to class, you'll never have to touch the textbook since his lectures are extremely informative and well organized. If you're having difficulties, talk to him. He will definitely help you in any way he can. AMAZING PROF!!!
Amazing prof! He's very understanding and really wants his students to do well. The way he teaches the course material is very helpful, and it's an interesting class too. I would definitely take him again if he taught more classes
The best professor ever! He is so caring, understanding, funny and amazing!!! Makes going to lecture so much fun, and is very accessible and friendly! Cares about his students succeeding in his courses and is very helpful! If I could I would rate him 10000000000000
He was the best prof ever!!! Really good at making the material interesting. For sure the best course I've taken so far! Plus he's def a 10/10!
Dr. Alati was an amazing professor, he is able to relate the material discussed in class to his students. He also takes the time to fully explain all the material and is very approachable for any additional questions. He also fully explains how you can do well on both the midterm and the final, and goes through prep questions with the class.
Professor Alati is an amazing professor. His lectures are easy to understand, he really cares about his students, and he is a really funny guy. His mid term and final were straight forward.
Not happy with this course. Lectures are fairly dry and straight out of the slides. Nice professor but AVOID. High expectations & does not give clear explanations Beyond hard
I LOVE Alati but this class is killer. The take home midterm makes no sense. We are all dying. If I die it will be due to this class. AVOID
Individually a great professor, but he puts a wide majority of our class to sleep especially on a Friday afternoon with by reading straight from the slides with little personality. Do yourself a favour and try for a different prof.
Sweet guy but readings are brutal. good luck to y'all if you wanna take it with this man. he makes the course too difficult & doesn't even simplify in lecture.
Made the readings understandable in CRM200 and tested us based on it, but doesn't do that for this course. Readings will give u anxiety.. long AND difficult.
He is clear & concise! He makes you think critically, outside the box, which is exactly what I hoped & expected from a third-year course. He mixes academia well with humor & relevant examples. He is reading-heavy but the readings help to expand your understanding of the issue from a global perspective. Hilarious & will help you if you need
Prof Alati is a great lecturer, yes sometimes the material can be a tad dry but he does his best to include video clips etc to keep it as interesting as he can. In my experience (this is my 3rd class with him) he is a beyond fair grader and genuinely wants you to succeed. 10/10 would take any course with him.
Reads off materials a lot. really dry, but a fair grader, reasonable and understanding.
weekly reading very difficult to understand & final test is cumulative. Avoid
Everything about this class and instructor was frustrating. Unclear assignments and grading, crazy lectures that were difficult to keep up with because he talks fast, and long readings that you'd never know if you actually needed. Would not take again unless I needed to.
I have taken a few of his courses and every single time I am overwhelmed with the amount of work/readings there are, and can never keep up with notes in lecture even on a laptop. He's funny and caring, however, the courses are always more difficult than any other courses I ever take.
He is very kind & approachable and easy to talk to if you need any clarification. Love Alati, BUT he made this course too content heavy that it frustrated everyone & preparing for the final was brutal. This has been the most difficult course I've taken.
The only professor who asks us to write our own opinion and actually means it. Open minded.
His so sweet and looks like he wants everyone to succeed by his grading and testing says otherwise, which is surprising. Very difficult class, too much content to know for the final, TA is an insane grader, worked hardest for this class and still not able to get an A, this course stressed everyone out too much.
Enjoyed this class. He's a very funny prof and will have you laughing throughout class. Lectures were content heavy, lots of notes to take during class. He's very clear and will ensure that you understand the content if asked for clarification. Midterm and final exam were open book. Answers come right out of his lectures so don't miss class.
The final exam was beyond fair and so was the grading. I went in being terrified to the point of not being able to sleep the night before at all, but it wasn't that bad. His beyond fair when it comes to his final exams. Straight-forward questions and grading & does not try to trick you. He is also very kind and is there if you need help. great prof
Thats my home boy right there love this guy. I have had him 3 times and have gotten an A each time. As long as you go to lectures, take notes, and follow his guidelines the course is simple. He gives out at least 20 percent in each of his courses for free. He's very understanding and approachable and also bumps you. Attendance is key, hes the best
Professor Alati is a really cool young and good looking professor. Without a doubt, he KNOWS what he is talking about. However, it does get confusing during lecture so having the textbook is essential. He does his best to explain things but personally I need something explained 10 different ways before I get it and that's where he lacks
One of the best professors at ryerson. Wants students to succeed and is always willing to help. readings are long and difficult but he tries his best to explain some concepts during lecture and encourages students to ask question which was great.
One of my favourite professors at Ryerson so far! He gives awesome lectures and he's hilarious. There are so many easy marks given out in this course, I highly recommend it if you are looking for a bird course. I never realized I had such an interest in criminology before this class!!
Really funny and engaging, cares about his work and his students
He is a great professor, understandable, and fair in grading. I recommend to have him
Would 100% take again. He understands what it is like be a student who is under alot of pressure. He makes his lectures fun and he is fair. He is funny and really connects with the students and gets you prepared to learn. cr
dr alati is the most chill man ive ever had the good fortune of knowing i took crm 100 as an elective and im so glad i did even though it was a three hour lecture id do that all over again he genuinely cares about you and relates to you very well mainly cause hes young and still hasnt gotten over the trauma of being a college kid ly bro <3
Amazing professor, he makes class fun while still teaching the material needed to succeed in the course. Amazing caring guy who relates to all of his students. You're guaranteed to laugh at least once in every lecture. Quizzes, Assignments and exams are not hard if you put in the effort to study
Amazing prof - had my first midterm of my Uni career with him; and first major assignment - wasn't stressed at all because the material itself in the course was really easy to understand with Dr. Alati's help. I did amazing on my final and its all thanks to him. This prof has a good sense of humor, is funny himself, and keeps lectures interesting.
Alati was by far the best prof I had all semester and the class quickly became my favourite too - even though it has nothing to do with my program. Attendance is mandatory if you want to do well and get a bonus mark. His lectures are clear and straight to the point. Didn't need my textbook once, all tests and assignments are based on lectures!
This was my favourite class and it was my elective. Alati is an amazing professor and the way he teaches makes the course so interesting. He's funny and he does whatever he can to make sure you do well. Absolutely loved him!! Everyone should definitely take this course with him.
The best prof at Ryerson!
Pretty funny, engaging, and understandable. Quizzes and essay were easy, exam was tolerable and the lectures were good.
Amazing prof who makes class fun and easy to learn. Gives bonus marks every class. Slides are easy to read and content is understandable. Really understands students.
As a first year, first semester student.. Daniel Alati has really set the standard high for my future criminology professors. He's a funny guy, makes 3 hours tolerable. His organization of lectures is really clear. He never taught CRM100 before, so I don't know whether he will make adjustments in future crm100 classes regarding marking or lects.
The lectures are posted so you don't have to show up to class. He WAS AMAZING!! Super funny, and a really nice guy -- if only he taught itm... You have to sign an attendance code each lecture, but you don't physically have to be in class. He is super understanding! The only reason i took crm101 was for Daniel Alati, and it WAS SO WORTH IT
Took CRM101 as a liberal studies, really enjoyed his class. He posts lecture slides online but during lecture talks about things that aren't on the lecture slides, so take notes! Also tells you exactly whats on the midterm/final. Go to class, take notes, and put effort into assignments and midterms. You'll get a good grade. Only used textbook once.
Young professor who understands his students needs. First half of the course is not as interesting as the second half, but Alati does a great job making lectures entertaining by cracking jokes. When he repeat things that are not on his lecture slides, they're testable material for midterm and final. Easy quizzes, midterm, final. Finished with A+
Dr. Alati is an amazing professor and a great individual. He cares about his students and gives you every opportunity to succeed. All evaluations are extremely fair and quite easy. This prof is also approachable and treats you as an equal!! Very knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have about the topic. A real gem!
Funny guy, explains things well and makes it an enjoyable lecture. Lots of really easy marks, the weekly quizzes are a free 15% and you get 1% just for coming to all classes. Really cool guy, take this class for sure for an easy mark and good time.
If you put in the work, you will do very well.
Amazing prof who wants students to succeed. Extremely fair with grading and only tests on material on the slides he posts, but make sure to take notes during class. He gives every opportunity for students to do well; in-class quizzes, easy assignments and essay and the mid-term and final were straightforward/easy. Best prof by far!!!
Makes you buy Tophat for attendance which is kinda bull, but in return he gives solid multi-choice practice in relation to midterms and exams. He is a fair essay marker, and the final was easier than the midterm. Sometimes you wish you brought a pillow to his lectures, but most times he makes the class fun and interesting. GREAT professor.
Great prof. The lectures were really interesting. The class is very easy. The midterm and final exam were straight forward. Goodluck!
Actually hilarious. Makes the content interesting and always clarifies anything a student may be unsure of very well.
One of the most amazing and hilarious professors I've had. Tip, as long as you attend ALL his lectures, you should be fine as he explains a lot of the material in class.
Dr. Alati is by far my favourite professor. He's caring, respectful, and honest. He explains things thoroughly and always adds humour to his lectures. He's a good grader, answers to emails quickly, and his assignments and tests are fairly easy as long as you study his quiz slides.
Dr. Alati is an amazing professor. He explains concepts thoroughly and uses multiple examples. He's passionate about criminology and it shows through his enthusiasm. His lectures are straightforward and he does his best to help students. He replies to questions and concerns in a timely manner. Overall, he is a fair marker. Defiantly recommend him!
Amazing! Gives a lot of opportunities. Show up to class, and take notes, and you'll receive a good grade. Explains course material in the easiest way possible.
best professor I've had, funny and real when speaking of the CJS, talked about real life issues, didn't make the CJS out to be perfect but still taught needed material, fair with grading and gives as much credit as possible, posted slides online and had short easy 6 question quizzes after class for extra marks,
He's an amazing professor, the best I have encountered so far. He keeps the lectures engaging, posts everything you would need to know if you missed a class and is very knowledgable on the content plus he is also SOOO hot.
Textbook was useful in the class it helped compliment his lectures. Very fun lectures. Good guy Alati, will try to aim to take this professor in the future. TopHat is the tutorial component.
he is a very effective teacher. knows how to engage students. funny guy and well rounded
Don't even know how to begin with how unreal he is. Best prof i've had by far. Really funny, really knowledgeable, and just really great at what he does. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Must attend class, his slides are not detailed. Very descriptive with what he expects. Follow what he says in class and you're guaranteed a 90.
Daniel makes law interesting especially since this was an 8am class. Attendance, Participation in Top Hat, Case Study, open book midterm and final. He's hilarious, but this is an extremely tough class, bell curved both the midterm and final. Go to his office hours for extra help and to make sure you're on the right track for the case study
Nothing but respect for my president.. but srsly you should take this course. I've taken two courses with the guy and both have been great. Fair marker, cute (if it matters to you), and funny!
Professor Alati is easily one of the best professor's I've had at Ryerson University. If you want to do well in his class, just go to class and take notes. Review those notes and follow exactly what he wants for his mid-terms and exams. His grading criteria is super easy to follow. Also, he's super hilarious and just overall a personable guy.
Hands down the best prof I've ever had. Has clear rubrics and makes lectures enjoyable. Gives you midterm and final reviews which are basically what will be on the exams. Does everything he can to make sure his students do well. Helps you out in numerous ways, all you have to do is reach out.
Not the best professor but funny and keeps things real.
the best prof at ryerson hands down. funny, cares about students, gives feedback, respectful, down to earth, approachable, clear grading criteria and so reasonable. hes also nice to look at
An absolute legend, his class made my last semester a memorable one. Just make sure you show up to class and take good notes.
Professor Alati is very funny and an extremely easy grader. He makes the criteria very clear and tells you exactly what he expects on both the exams and the paper. You get an extra 1% at the end of the semester for attending every lecture. Don't buy the textbook you won't need it.
Amazing prof who can make boring content fun and easy to learn. He makes lots of jokes and makes the class worth going to. Weekly open book quizzes, 1 midterm and final exam (non-cumulative), 1 court assignment and 1 essay. Gives straight to the point exam reviews and even tells you the types of questions he might ask. 100% recommend this prof!
By far one of the best profs at Ryerson! He makes learning fun, like you'll want to attend his lectures. His weekly quizzes are so easy, open book, and you can talk to your peers. Midterm and Final was so easy, he practically gives you the questions. Court Assignment was also straight forward, he is very clear of what he wants for the assignment.
Dr. Alati is by far the best professor Ive had at Ryerson. Passionate, caring and is always available for extra help.
Alati is a charismatic, funny professor that makes exceedingly dull concepts somewhat interesting. Although he reads of his slides a lot of the time, he uses his law background well to thoroughly explain terms when asked. Uses top hat so attendance is mandatory but the questions are incredibly easy. Tests are straight-forward and the essay is easy.
Definitely one of my favourite professors at Ryerson. He answers questions thoroughly to help clear up any confusion during lectures. He's also super laid back and funny so it makes 2 hours fly by. Bonus, he tends to end his classes a bit early (especially on weekends)! :)
BEST elective to take with him!! he's super funny and understanding. THE mid term and exams were so easy. Never really went to class, just get the attendance code from someone and your set.
Dr. Alati is such a hilarious prof! will make random witty remarks that keep the lecture entertaining and fun. He does mini- quizzes ( 2-3 questions) on a website/app called TopHat and they're ridiculously easy and the question pertain to the content you JUST learned therefore it's fresh in your mind if you were paying attention. Amazing prof!
By far my favourite uni prof and class. Dr. Alati made class worth showing up for and constantly made students laugh which helped make the 2hr lectures bearable. He was easy to connect with and was very approachable and really helped in preparing us for the midterm and final exam. Yay for those of you that are going to have him the future!
Theres no reason why you shouldnt take a course with him if you have the chance to.
If you have the privilege of getting this man to teach you a course, do yourself the favour and take the course. I would take all my Criminology courses with him if I could. If you put in minimal effort you will do well and will take away valuable knowledge from the way he teaches.
Hands down best prof I've ever had! He reads from the slides a bit but he makes every lecture funny and interesting!! If you have the opportunity to take one of his classes, do it, you won't regret it !!
So dope. If you have the chance to take any CRM class make sure its with Daniel.
amazing
My favourite uni prof thus far, literally amazing, you will not regret taking a course of his.
Super funny and charismatic prof. I never used the textbook and still had a clear understanding of the material because it was gone over in lecture. King of being quirky. Favourite prof and knows what hes talking about
Great prof, outgoing, very friendly, and takes time to review/change marks (with good reasoning) if students are unsatisfied.
He is a great prof, don't need a textbook in his class, just take good notes. I'm in the science program and I found this course so interesting. Not challenging at all. 15% of your grade is given to you as well. And it was a 3 hour lecture but he ended it within 1 hour and half. Going to take CRM200 with him too.
THE ACTUAL BEST!
Absolutely the best professor I had at Ryerson. He's always engaging to his students and always straightforward with his class material. Midterm and final are straight from his quizzes, slides, and his review sections (do not miss this one). His assignments were really straightforward, but a bit hard marker on the essay. Overall a solid professor.
Super nice guy. Make sure you go to lectures and take notes on tips he gives for the midterm and final. Very fair grader.
they call him daddy alati for a reason...
Funny, relatable, super smart guy with a dry type of humour. His lectures are important (and interesting) to attend because his slides are pretty empty. Go to them, take good notes, and pay attention to his exam reviews because he basically tells you exactly what to know. Don't purchase the textbook you won't use it. Do this and its an easy A.
BEST PROF AT RYERSON. Super funny. Clear at explaining concepts. Absolutely fair marker. He is the ideal professor.
Funny and easygoing prof who makes lectures entertaining and always ends class early. Take any class you can with him because his exams are VERY easy. Going to his midterm and review lectures is important because he tells you what will be on exams. All hail Alati!
It is an easy class. He is very funny, informative and genuinely wants students to do well. He literally tells students what will be on the midterm, exam and how the final paper should be structured. Attend lectures so that you have material for the exam and tophat questions, but if you miss a class the textbook will suffice although not mandatory
Didn't read the textbook, just took notes on what he said in class and re-read them before the midterm & exam and I aced both (high 80s & 90s). Tells you exactly what's on the exam & midterm. However, he was unclear for the essay and marked hard. He gives bonus 1% for attendance & weekly open book quizzes boost your mark a lot. Overall, easy A.
best prof you will ever have at ryerson!! took this class as an elective and it was my favourite class by far. He is funny and makes going to class bearable. I actually looked forward to class and it is fairly simple, he tells you exactly what it is on the midterm and final. You will for sure get an A.
First ever teacher/professor that made me excited to go to class. This guy is hands down the best prof at Ryerson. You NEED to go to his classes to do well. He hints at what will be on the exams and dishes free marks in the form of open book quizzes and bonus marks for attendance
Alati is a HILARIOUS prof. He is such a caring, enthusiastic guy and wants every one of his students to pass. He is extremely kind and understanding and does everything to make sure his students succeed and excel. He tells you everything you need to know for all the midterms and exams and he's just incredible. Go to lectures and you're solid! :)
Funniest prof out there, he actually made me enjoy a subject I hated in highschool. Honestly wish all profs were like him! I suggest trying to get into his classes if possible
This guy is my favourite prof to date. Such a funny guy and he really knows his content. He engages the students well and grades very fair.
Professor Alati is one of the best profs I've had at RU so far. If you are lucky enough to have him as an option its a no brainer.
Dr. Alati was my favorite prof of first year . He teaches a material in a way it is easy for students to understand . Most importantly he really cares about his students . I really enjoyed his class and he is very funny as well. Assignments and exams are fair. He's also pretty nice to look at during lectures.
One of my favourite profs! Very knowledgeable but also hilarious and charming (sends the BEST emails). Keeps you very engaged during lectures, and always happy to answer questions but during and after. 5 stars aren't enough!! Grades based on weekly quizzes, midterm, case study paper, and final. (Also gives you 1% bonus if you attend all classes!)
Great class. Great prof. Highly recommend.
If you have the option to have him as a prof, don't even hesitate. Easily one of the best profs at RU.
He is one of the best profs I've ever had. Unfortunately, this was his last year at Ryerson.
The BEST professor I have had at Ryerson. He is caring and funny which makes his lectures very engaging and interesting. I would take all my courses with this professor if I could. Very reasonable when it comes to grading, and he gives clear grading criteria much in advance.
Daniel is by far my favourite prof through my uni experience. He never fails to provide an amazing class! Uses so many dad jokes throughout his class but it's bareable. He knows what he's talking about, and is always willing to help if you don't understand.
Probably my favourite prof I have ever had. He makes class enjoyable to go too, he constantly makes dad jokes. His exams are super easy and he makes it clear what will be covered. Don't need to go to class to pass but you will get a 1% bonus for getting 100% attendance. Definitely will be taking another class with him if given the chance.
Good Prof makes the course interesting, the tests are almost exactly the same as the in-class fact patterns, the assignment is a little tough, be sure to start that as early as possible and definitely ask for clarification, but an overall good choice.
Hilarious professor. Makes class interesting and the exams are almost too easy
