Run, dont take this class! You can never miss a class. 15points taken off every time you miss. If you dont do one hmwk assignment another 15 off of your final grade. He is too picky with word assignment's. WARNING: if you don't want your GPA Messed up DONT TAKE HIS CLASS. His handout's have nonthing to do with tests or assignments.

What a boring, mind-numbing teacher. The material could have been 10X more interesting if he had put forth a little effort in teaching it. Not helpful, not approachable. Comes off as arrogant and aloof

To be quite honest, he is the worst professor I have ever taken at Cincinnati State. I have many reasons but some of them are, he gives tons of difficult homework, makes you feel dumb for asking reasonable questions.

He is the most rude and brash teacher I have ever encountered at CINCINNATI STATE. He is a terrible teache, expects you to know the answers to the ridiculous amounts of readings you have each week and belittles you when you do not know the answer

3 online test take abouut 6 hrs to complete and you have to do it all in one sitting. If you want to write and read alot, this is your class! He is by far the worst professor, well I wouldn't qualify he as a professor, that I have ever had! One opinion, don't sign up!

He puts on a powerpoint presentation which has entirely to loud music then he sits down, he spends more time sitting than students do, and the last assignment is a ridiculous essay making up a story from 26 pictures of history, that have nothing in common and you have to use all 26 images. I took a history class not writers comp.

Terrible, lousy worst I've ever seen

Every single class was nothing, but powerpoint presentations, with loud music and him trying to talk over it. If you want to be TAUGHT History, don't take this class. Also the last assignment was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard of.

3 major papers, 4 tests, quiz and 2 page essay every week ... boring, a complete waste of time, the hardest B+ I ever earned.

What a bore, literally put me to sleep every lecture. Really don't need lecture since you can find this basic information in the book, but they take attendance. Avoid this professor at all costs, completely dull and unanimated.

I love History, but this was the most ridiculous excuse for a History class you can imagine. I got a C which is unbelievable considering the amount of time I put into it.

I love the study of History, but a EVERY class is all powerpoint pictures with no teaching, sometimes he might chime in. then you have a 2 page essay once a week and a quiz once a week, but the most incredibly stupid assignment was the last 5 page essay, 26 images from past 150 years and you have you have to make up a story tying them all togethe

This is by far the worst class I have ever taken. He did not give a lecture during a single class. It was all the most ridiculous powerpoint, and if you asked a question you could never get a straight answer from him.

If I wanted to learn about history by looking at old images, I would just go to the library and check out picture books. The most ridiculous assignment is the 5 page paper of 26 images that he wants made into a story, BUT it can't sound like a "journal." Everything sounds like a journal to him. He doesn't answer your questions. Talks down to you.

Dr. Anderson is very condescending and rude. Journals EVERY week and have to be up to certain standards or will receive a terrible grade.

He is one of the worst history teacher I have ever had. My previous teacher was the angel reincarnated, Paul Davis , and coming to this class was a nightmare. He graded my very first discussion post with a 50% based on criteria he never stated. When I emailed him that he was wrong it took him a week to respond.

Ridiculous history class. For the love of all things good do not take this class.

He does not make grading criteria easily accessible or clear (i.g. underdeveloped and vague rubrics), does not clarify expectations in class, and is somewhat rude of email. This class is very assignment heavy & his lack of clarity in terms of what they should entail sets even diligent and hard working students up for failure. Does not grade often.

Lots of discussion board posts based off of pictures? Also has unclear directions that are not posted in the right order, then gets an attitude when you ask to clarify instructions. Grading is also not consistent and unclear feedback on grading.

I do not recommend this professor AT ALL. First, he does not give you feasible feedback, he just copy and pastes sentences from his syllabus. He takes 3-6 weeks to grade assignments. He also ignored a majority of my e-mails asking for help and times to meet so that I can get a better understanding of his expectations. The work is pointless!

This class is poorly adapted from an online class. The lectures have very little bearing to the tests and are totally unnecessary. Most questions are taken straight from quizlet. Be aware you will be assigned a creative writing project in this class. It requires the incorporation of many images and is a very strange and ineffective exercise.

He is unhelpful and rude

This isnt a hard class. You can take the quizzes twice and earn an A on the second try. He is a very slow grader and doesnt respond to emails in a timely manner. I didnt get any feedback on any assignments or any help.

When I sent an email for clarification on syllabus changes, the professor gave very unproductive feedback. He lacks the emotional habitus for teaching, proceed with caution.

This Prof is awful to deal with. The modules he puts on blackboard is awful with text like I aM prOF DanIEl. He is the worst and his assignments due dates are weird. Doesnt give you help if you email him. His online course is not understandable. Stay away if you can! Take the course with someone else if you want your brain to stay there.

Doesn't respond to emails, gives very little direction, many busywork assignments. Main project is about using dozens of photos spanning over 100 years of history to create a "primary source" fiction. Quizzes every week, although these usually aren't terrible; larger worries are the midterms and finals.

Poor communicator. Vague or contradictory instructions. Completely ignores emails requesting clarification Types in capital letters when emphasizing due dates (minor issue but distracting when instructions are contradictory) Class assignment due dates inconsistent, no feedback/no grade explanations given Does not grade timely (2 weeks or more)

Horrible. The work itself is not difficult. Knowing what is expected, or even what the major assignment are is where the problem lies. His online class is completely incomprehensible. He does not respond to emails. He's rude. The dates are all wrong. Arbitrarily moves dates of quizzes around with no notice. Run for the hills and don't look back.

Narcissistic and rude and talks to you like your stupid and never responds and when he does, its sarcastic and not helpful in the slightest.

I cannot stress this enough: take this course with SOMEONE ELSE. Contradictory instructions that are posted in more than one place with conflicting info. Several other students emailed ME instead of the professor to ask questions because he does not communicate effectively. He is lazy and it shows. Slow to grade. No feedback unless it's bad.

Take your history credits with someone else! He does not answer emails-totally unacceptable for dept chair. Very slow to grade. Conflicting instructions posted in multiple places. Poor communicator. Unhelpful. Rude. No feedback unless it's negative. Community college instructors should not behave this way. Very discouraging experience.

Up to a week to reply to emails and responses are unprofessional. official communication has strange repeat phrasing and capitals. Inconsistent communication around expectations. Did not have access to online textbook. 30 % of grade is writing a short story based on pictures. Textbooks outdated and missing many topics. Quizzes had repeat questions.

Take history with literally any other professor. This class is asinine. He clearly wanted to teach creative writing but they gave him this history class instead. All subjects studied had woke bias. 30% of your grade is a creative story based on a random 26 historical pictures. I love early US history and I learned absolutely nothing.

Everything that is stated by previous reviews is true. The discussion boards every week are the same, looking at pictures and describe. One word under the 500 word requirement or anything not exactly as he attempted to state, 0. The paper is a short story that you have to write with 26 pictures, and still no grade after a month. He is horrible.

The course website is awful, there is no organization to it. There is a discussion forum that is the same every week with different images. The content of this AMERICAN history class is very politically bias. The main paper is worth 30% of your grade, and he does not give any clear instructions or feedback on rough drafts or in the grading rubric.

Terrible, everything he types is in all caps or bolded. For your paper he reccomends you use time travel or being a vampire to come up with it. He must have a kink that has to do with colonial vampire fanfiction. If only he had a time machine to see it himself. As he would type DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE TAKE A COURSE BY THIS PROFESSOR.

Taking this class for the first week was immediately an eyesore, and stressful to the point in dropped it immediately. The curriculum was awful, as dates were wrong and confusing. There's constant projects upcoming, and big tests. And I will say with my experience with classes here, there are wonderful teachers, and then there's this guy. 😞
