No doubt, this is a very hard class. If you're looking for an easy grade, take someone else. However, if you're looking to really help your career, you should take this class. Bachrach is the type of teacher you hate because he's so hard but the kind you love because he brings out the best in you.
Do not take this class he is ridiculously stupid and hard. He asks you to do stuff that is uncalled for and I would highly recommend not taking this class.
Dr. Bachrach is a great teacher, but is extremely demanding. He makes Human Resource Management about as interesting as it can possibly be due to is energetic teaching style. You will learn a tremendous amount in this class, but is not an easy A. A lot of work, but ends up being very beneficial.
You will learn a lot about yourself. Daily class sign-in and participation checksheet, 10 in-class quizzes, 8 out of classrm projects, 10 journals pages 1 due every Friday, (3) Exams comprised of 75-85 mult choice questions and 8 essay questions (worth 50% of the exam) and a final. Opportunity time spent with class better spent on BSFinance or OM
Hard but worth it. He is a great person to have on your side and will write a great recomendation for you to grad school. His rec for me to law school was pointed out to me by the admissions committee, which admitted me.
Hard teacher, but very understanding. Loved his class. Will keep you very awake. Makes class answer questions whole class period so you have to be on top of things. Read your book participate in class easy B.
Very hard class, but rewarding in the end. Take very thorough notes for the test and pick a good team to work with in the beginning. If you are looking for an easy A, this is not the place. However, if you want to learn something and have a professor that cares, I highly recommend him.
Strange guy, he thought that he made more of an impact on each of us than he really did. Huge ego. More work than is required to get a grasp of the subject. Avoid taking his class if possible.
he just talks too much. very demanding.
I didnt like the format of his class. I didnt really learn anything. He doesnt take roll so you really dont have to come, but he puts you in trivia-like teams. I hated it so i stopped going to class. The test is straght book material, so read it. I wouldnt take his class again.
This guy is a complete jerk. I have never been in a class that was more Jepraody than actaully learning anything. He has a HUGE ego and constantly insults students in his group "discussion". I quit going to class after two weeks because the test material is based straight from the book, TAKE ANOTHER SECTION!
Does not teach you the material at all. Leads "discussions" that are not even relevant to the test. Terrible.
Worthless class. If I wanted to have pointless conversations I would go on Oprah. Take the online version if possible so you won't have to take part in his cheesy "discussions."
Loved this class... If you show up and talk the rewards are great!!! If you are in the top 15% of the teams you will end up with an A! I would take this professor again for any other class!!!
Talks extremely too much and u must do this game called glo-bus that they do in gba 490! It is the pits and makes the class the pits as well. Try to take someone else. Only good thing is that his test is fairly easy.
Let's you take 4 pages of notes into each test and tells you exactly what will be on the test each time. I LOVED to hear him talk! Read the book.
I have disliked some professors before, but I absolutely hated this guy. The grading isn't clear, he has some weird obsession with hearing personal, revealing stories from students, and he doesn't know jack about management. It is no surprise to me that he is a professor; he wouldn't survive a day in the real management world.
He just liked to talk about his interests for the day. This class was useless. The grading was very unclear; doesn't tell you at all how things are graded. He just wanted to keep you worried the whole time.
Doesnt teach a single thing that appears on the test. He just rambles on about his kids and pizza for the entirety of the class. Never take him.
This teacher is awful. He rambles on about nothing that pertains to the class. Do not take him. He makes you do this thing called glo-bus and you don't get to choose your team. If you get stuck with a group that is lazy you're screwed. He is a terrible professor and I hate him with all my heart. Take the other professor for this course.
He was the worst professor I have ever had at the University. He talks about MTV and lectures nothing that is on your exams. He gives you an outline for the exam but it is completely worthless. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!
He is the most worth less person I've ever seen in my life. He waists your time in class. All the time asks about useless stuff in class. Take the class with Dr.Ford if you want to learn something and pass the class.
Bachrach was an interesting teacher. Globus was terrible, but I learned a lot from doing it. The lecture wasn't very interesting. He pushed the wrong buttons of college students, but it was a very easy class
The most boring teacher ever. Every lecture is pointless and completely unrelated to the exam. The Glo-bus game you play is a waste of time and a pain. Do not take this class. MGT 300 should be an easy A but Bachrach makes it 100 times harder than it needs to be.
Horrible professor. Tests don't at all reflect lectures, yet attendance is graded. Bachrach talks in circles about nothing. Subject material is easy though, so a good grade is possible. (I made an A-). But the Glo-Bus game, which also has nothing to do with the course material, leaves a lot to chance. My advice: don't take Bachrach for this course.
Bachrach is a horrible teacher. He likes to hear himself talk so he keeps you the entire time every class. He gives you these "study guides" which he says is "exactly" like the test. But they are vague topics from the book! The tests are hard! and there is this dumb game called Glo-bus worth 1/3 of your grade! and it can make or break you!
I'm a graduate of 5 years and Dr. Bachrach was the toughest and the fairest professor at the University. Roll Tide
First test was impossible, after a class riot, the class was adjusted and it became a little bit easier. He gives you precise study guides and cheat sheets, but test questions are very tricky and confusing.
Not impossible. I got a "B" after completely failing the first test. Lectures are pointless. Don't even print the notes. Just answer all of the test questions given prior to the test on you own if you want to do well. And the globus game you play in his class is soooo annoying. Avoid if possible.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!! His tests are rediculous, and almost impossible to pass. I've have never made a C in my life until this class because most of the grade is based on the globus game especially if your team members don't do any work. He rambles in class and the lectures have nothing to do with the test material. I learned absolutly nothing.
Wasn't that great. I wish I would have looked at these before I added his class. His lectures didn't have anything to do with the test. Also, he said that he was going to count the "Glo-bus" game as half the grade for his next semester. if he did that, steer clear.
He sometimes talks and uses larger words than necessary but he really cares about the subject he's teaching. As long as you go to class and pay attention you should be fine. I would definitely take him again
This class is awful choose whoever else is teaching it. Attendance counts towards your grade unfortunately. He rambles on the entire class and you have to read the chapters and answer the questions he tells you to know for the test. Also, Glo-Bus is a huge hassle. Overall avoid him teaching this class.
I actually liked this class! Glo-Bus is not hard as people make it out to be. My group beat the other teams every week and we never met. Everyone just got on when they could. You get to use two cheat sheets on the test, but make sure you put detailed answers on your sheet! I would recommend him! He also gives bonus points!
His class was the WORST. His lectures were long and boring and had nothing to do with what was on the test. He makes you do Globus, which is rotten, but doing it while in MGT300 prepares you for GBA490. Making the cheat sheet helps, but many times what he reviewed was not detailed enough for what he asks on the test. Good luck.
Avoid him as a teacher, he loves to hear himself talk. His class is not hard if you have a good glo-bus team, but he is so annoying that its just not worth it. I would much rather have any other professor for this class
The people that are complaining and claim that this class is "miserable" or "difficult" must be either dense or are poor students. This class is a joke. It is by far the easiest business class I have taken at the university so far. Go to class, put work into glo-bus, and make a good cheat sheet, and there is no way you can't get an "A."
Bachrach is an energetic teacher. Requires you to play online group business strategy game "Glo-Bus". Glo Bus is 45% of your grade. Thats great if you are put in a smart group, terrible if you had a stagnant group like me. Glo Bus counts for more than all 3 tests combined. I suggest taking it from somebody who does not require Glo Bus.
Nice guy but BAD professor. To be honest he should not even be considered a professor, but instead a motivational speaker, which is useless. Half the test is on stuff that was never talked about and is not in the book. So basically class is pointless to go to. He also screwed my globus team over by telling us to do the wrong thing.
Very good teacher. Strongly glo-bus based class (thats a good thing). You have to try to get less than an A in this MGT 300 with him
GloBUS was fun and so was Dr. Bachrach.
He makes it almost impossible to not pass, much less get an A. If you want to learn the material, you should take another class (or just read the book on your own).
Dan is probably one of the best professors I have had in college aside from Dr. Reynolds for Marketing. The Glo-Bus game is complicated, but there is plent of help for you if you just ask. He wants his students to pass and enjoy his class. Take him. You won't regret it!
Honestly loved this class! He gives engaging lectures (which is hard to do at 8am) and relates material to real life. Tests are short and easy, he goes over exactly what will be on them before. He's happy to talk with students and help you out if you go talk with him. If you get in a halfway decent glo-bus group you're going to be fine.
He got rid of Globus. There are 4 tests but there is no final, he allows you to use a certain amount of notes on the tests and explains exactly what will be on the test the class period before. Homeworks are super easy and take a minute. He is pretty entertaining and gets people to talk and have discussions in his class.
Bachrach got rid of Globus, so his MGT 300 class is super easy now. He's extremely energetic , sometimes a bit too much, but its pretty entertaining and wakes you up. Gives you all the test questions beforehand and allows a cheat sheet. Easy A, entertaining professor
Best Teacher. His rating on here isnt correct.. He's a solid 5
This was the easiest class I've ever taken in college. No more Globus. 50% of your grade are turning in self assessments that take about 5 minutes to do. There are 4 exams and he only grades your top 3 scores. On the exams he lets you bring in FOUR sheets of notes, so it's an easy A each time. There's also bonus points. Impossible to not make an A+
Dan is a great guy. He can be a bit long winded in class when explaining the material. You need the book for HW assignments due each class. They aren't hard and count for over a test grade in the class. I made an A- because I missed only one of them. The test are beyond easy. Gives you material and allows for a 4 page cheat sheet. No Glo-Bus!
Daniel Bachrach is SO hot! Couldn't even focus in class!
Dan is awesome! He will do anything to get you to do well in his class if you just go to him and ask for help. He allows 2 pages front and back of notes on your exam and he takes your 3 best test grades. and he gives 3-4 opportunities for extra credit. Take this class, it's worth it!
Professor Bachrach is a GREAT teacher and always there for his students. He literally does anything to help you pass, you get two pages front and back of notes for the exam and he practically gives you the questions on review day. Make sure you turn in all of your assessments since that is a large portion of your grade as well. Definitely take!!
Extra credit participation quizzes are given in every class, so there's that plus he his extremely entertaining and can definitely captivate a huge lecture room. He's hilarious while also understanding. Two page cheat sheet allowed on tests. Go to class on review days to know EVERYTHING that will be on the test. I made an easy A
One of the easiest teachers ever. I took him at 8AM and made it half of the time and still received an A+ in the class. You have to buy the book because the HW assignments come from it and to use for notes, but the four test are open notes and one gets dropped! TAKE THIS CLASS! SO EASY
Dr. Bachrach was one of my favorite teachers at UA. He makes the tests easy, and he teaches valuable life lessons. If you have to take MGT300, do whatever you can to take him. He's great.
Easiest class I've ever taken in my life. MKT 300 (Fant) is the second easiest. My first semester of junior year was a breeze, thanks to Bachrach and Fant. You don't need to show up for the class because Dr. Bachrach will tell you everything on the review day. However, textbook is a must-have.
He gives homeworks that are require zero work that are due on class days, but he won't take them late. His tests are super easy if you show up to the review days and do and write exactly what he tells you to. His lectures are great. He engages the whole class of 250+ people. Take him if you want to lower your stress levels for a semester.
He gives quizzes every class, so definitely go. Day before the test he tells you EXACTLY whats going to be on the test and allows you to have 2 pages of cheat sheets. Homework is due the day the chapter is discussed. For textbook, I suggest getting a group together and going in on 1 b/c you only need it for homework and study guides. He's a fun guy
Incredible teacher! He literally wrote the book. Fun to watch & fun to participate.
Dr. Bachrach is great. I didn't really learn anything about management, but his lectures were compelling and full of good life/career advice. He sincerely enjoys helping students as he met with me to give me career advice and even helped pen my statement of purpose for graduation school. He's a great person to have have in your network.
This is one of my favorite teachers at UA by far! His classes are fun and I never find myself bored in class. His test are really easy, just gotta take my word for it! There's not a lot of homework and it most times helps you identify with yourself. I would definitely take him again, and hope I have him in a future class.
great teacher has in class quizzes for attendance and extra credit. use the book for your study guide and he lets you bring in two sheets of paper for his test.
best teacher ever!!! wants each student to succeed and doesn't believe in test so he tells you exactly whats on every test! he wrote the textbook too so he knows what he's talking about!
Show up to class, do the study guides before the tests because its basically identical. He's a pretty cool guy and keeps it interesting as possible for an 8 AM
He literally talks about the PowerPoint the entire class while the class pretends to care. Took it because I heard that it was easy, and I had no idea how easy it was going to be. 1 paper and 4 test, with one test being optional. So easy, I would recommend as a Summer class. You do not learn anything.
Super easy A. Bachrach "doesn't believe in tests" so he allows you a 4 page cheat sheet for the tests and tells you the questions that will be on it. Show up to class because attendance is for credit and will guarantee a good grade. Would definitely recommend this class even though he is a bit odd at times.
I don't know why everyone says this class is an easy A. You don't learn anything from the lectures and the reviews he gives often leave off some of the material that is on the test. Everyone I knew in my class made B's and low A's on the test. The extra credit doesn't even help your grade either. you have to put in some effort for an A
Best lecturer I have experienced. He loves getting students motivated and is an excellent person to have in your network. He wants you to get more out of a class than just studying for tests, so he does everything he can to make class more about learning and experience instead of memorization. Take him and you will learn more and be less stressed
Go to class and you will pass without a doubt, he takes attendance and you turn in a self assessment each class, his lectures aren't boring and they are very interesting. he's a very knowledgable and well rounded professor and top notch guy.
Dr. Bachrach's class is impossible to fail as long as you go to class. He lets you bring in a two page "cheat sheet" (front and back) into every test. Also the day before the test he reads all fifty questions that will be asked so you know exactly what to put on your cheat sheet. Attendance points will hurt your grade so make sure you go.
Extremely easy class, just show up on review days and he gives you every question that will be on the exam. Take the questions home and answer them before the exam. He lets you bring in 4 pages, front and back, of notes for the exams. Highly recommend the book for the cheat sheet you can make for the exam.
This was a great class! He's interesting to listen to, very lively so the class isn't boring. He wrote the book so test's aren't difficult as long as you go to his reviews. He teaches real-world concepts so it's interesting and applicable. The business plan wasn't as well defined as I hoped, but it turned out to be pretty easy.
Dr. Bachrach's MGT 300 was great. His lectures are interesting! He somehow gets the whole class participating. The exams are very straightforward. Just make sure you go to the review sessions. He lets you bring in a cheat sheet. You will need the book to write the cheat sheets and do the homework. Highly recommend.
This is the easiest class I've ever taken in college. Its easier to make an than P.E. in high school. I would go to class, drop off my homework, sneak out, make As on the test.
Great teacher who cares about his students. You get a study guide for each test and he tells you everything that will be on the test. Pretty easy.
The best way I can describe him is a wanna be motivational speaker. His lectures are good and full of experience but have nothing to do with what is on the test. Just rambles on for the class time. Potential to be good, but the tests are harder than they should be even though you can bring in note sheets.
Dr. Bachrach is probably the most over-rated professor I have taken. I had high hopes from reading what others have said, but I didn't have the same experience. His tests don't allow enough time, he isn't accessible outside of class, and he does NOT care about your grade. The material or class isn't hard, but he makes MGT harder than it should be.
very passionate teacher who makes students participate in lecture. easy material, mostly all vocab and definitions. tells you exactly what will be on the test and allows 4 pages of notes for you to use. Random homework assignments that are basically just graded for completion. attendance isn't mandatory but he randomly checks it for a few points.
This was a very easy class. He goes through all the information on the test during a review day and then you can have notes on the test! There are many grades so it is hard to do poorly.
He is the worst teacher I have had. His lectures relate to nothing on the test. Even though he gives us 4 pages of notes (front and back) and exactly what is on the test they are still difficult. He spends more than half of the class on one powerpoint slide and then rushes to get through them all in the last 10 minutes. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS
Dr. Bachrach is an awful teacher. Dr. Bachrach spends the entirety of class preaching about practices that are not necessarily. He implied that he was better than us in his practices both in a professional setting and a personal setting just because he didn't use tech. He acted morally superior to the entire class. I will never take him again.
Prof. Bachrach is more of a motivational speaker than a lecturer, but he knows what he's talking about when it comes to his lectures. With that being said, the tests are a bit different than the lectures, but he lets you bring notes into the tests and goes over the questions before the test. Overall, easy class.
Dr. Bachrach is very "preachy" about subject matter that is not pertinent to the class and seems to not even read information on his slides (which have little info to begin with). Even though he gives you test topics beforehand and 4 pages of notes for the exam, they are never really matched up, so its hard to do absolutely perfect.
Very simple class and easy tests for people that can study and write down notes. Takes time out of his classes to educate people on business related topics that help you outside of college and after.
Dr. Bachrach was a great professor. The answers to the tests were given the class period before and you get to bring in four pages of notes. While his lectures have nothing to do with the class material they are inspirational and entertaining. As long as you bring notes into the test you will be fine. Keep on keepin on Dr. B.
not organized but easy class to pass on your own. just be ready to be your own teacher. he wont put up half of the assignments. lets you bring in 4 page cheat sheets front and back for each test.
It's kind of ironic that he is a management teacher when he is the least organized professor that I've ever had. Also, his TA was not helpful at all. While the class was pretty easy, I see no point in it. It was more of an added stress than a benefit. He says there is attendance, but he always had technical difficulties.
for a management class, this class was SO disorganized. So many technical difficulties, test day was chaos, and I didn't feel like I learned anything. That being said, you do get notes for the test, but I felt like there were always different definitions for the same vocabulary words/concepts.
His class is absolutely awful. None of the lectures he teaches in class correlates to the tests. His class is a waste of time and he talks about every other thing except mgt. Attendance is mandatory and is a big chunk of your grade so you have to go. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.
Dr. Bachrach's lectures are extremely engaging, but have little to do with the material you are tested on. The tests are harder than they should be, and are over 60% of your grade. The rest of your grade is made up of attendance and a 30 page business plan that is due at the end of the semester.
Great class and great teacher. Attendance is a must and you are graded on a few things, so make sure you are doing good on the test.
There is a year long 30 page group project that is a huge part of your grade. My group was not the best and the business plan brought my grade down. Make sure you have a friend In this class to be in your group because doing a year long project with people you dont know is a drag. The project really sucked so much. Tests are only easy if you read
Honestly such an easy class. He keeps tests open note and not on lock down and they are such easy tests. He's the kinda teacher that likes to hear himself speak. He just will ramble for the entire class time and it will take him an hour and 15 mins to get through 7 slides. Nice guy though, genuinely wants you to do well.
Group project was long but fair as if you complete it throughout the semester its easy to stay on track. Tests are easy and straight from the study guide and also open note. A few of his lectures are also super entertaining and make you think.
Dr. Bachrach is a great lecturer. Don't need to take notes, as he will tell you word for word what to know for the exams. His lectures are very engaging and he is very passionate about teaching. The group project is super manageable if you put in a little bit of effort. Very glad I had Bachrach and would rank him as one of the best I've had at UA.
Easy class. Tests aren't at home, online, open note. Attendance is part of your grade so go to class. He's a great professor and always high-energy, but it's easy to zone-out of lectures. There is a semester-long project that is a huge part of the grade and kind of a pain if you're put with a bad team.
Easy tests and lectures. Does take attendance but majority of grade is a group project that spans over the entire semester.
if you don't take Bachrach, idk what's wrong w you!! he is SO easy & SO caring, 4 exams (OPEN NOTE, ONLINE, & NO LOCKDOWN BROWSER) NO FINAL EXAM --do I need to say more? Lectures are whacky but he truly cares ab his students. final project if random teammates tedious, but overall nothing bad -- suggest you get started on it EARLY :)
Bachrach had an easy class (open note tests, easy homework, attendance online) but the final project is a pain if you're placed in a lazy group. Make sure to get started on it early and put a good amount of effort into it. Otherwise, entertaining and whacky lectures that wake you up if they're early. Should be an easy A.
Professor Bachrach loves what he does! I do feel like sometimes his lectures aren't worth my time but truly he really cares about his students and his class. Test are open note, he takes attendance every class, short homework assignments, but the big grade is based off of the big end of the semester group project. Start the project early!
He rambles a lot however class is really engaging and fun most of the time. Test are all online and homework is very simple
Professor Bachrach at times seems less of a teacher and more of a motivational speaker. I did not feel I learned much of use. Grades are based on 4 open note tests and a large group project (30+ pages). The group project can be brutal if you do not have a committed group.
Daniel Bachrach is one of the most frustrating professors I have had at UA. His lectures consist of him yelling, making students feel uncomfortable, and repeating himself about fifty times throughout the class. The class is not difficult but he does not teach anything and is very frustrating to communicate with. Wouldn't recommend!
If this class wasn't mandatory for me, I would've dropped. Tests are unnecessarily long-- 100 questions with not much time, and he repeats questions just so it hits 100. He's one of those profs that wrote his own textbook if that says anything. Attendance mandatory but class felt useless. Your grade basically revolves around a huge group project
He is a nice person however his lectures don't teach you anything. Tests are 100 q. Attendance is mandatory; he will have a "quiz" every class but will tell you the answer and that is your attendance. There's a group project that your grade revolves around. Don't wait till the last minute to do it it's 25-30 pages of creating an actual business.
Some teaching methods are not compatible with certain students learning styles and this was the unfortunate case with me and his professor. He is brilliant, but he was not a good fit for me and I would not recommend taking his course.
DO NOT take this professor. I never write reviews on this site but this was so bad that I needed to. Attendance is mandatory and you get absolutely NOTHING out of going to class. The Business plan that you have to do is worth so much of your grade and he gives little to no instruction... HORRIBLE professor and class. AVOID!
Gave no instructions for the formatting of our final project and gave us a C on it. Left 0 feedback until I emailed him to which he responded with a long string of unprofessional run-on sentences that showed he didn't actually review it much. Dropped my grade from A+ to B+. Easy tests during the semester but worth nothing because of the project.
Dr. Bachrach is a great professor. He told us at the start the test, HW, and attendance was the easy part of the grade and the business plan is what you need to worry about. The directions are vague so ask him lots of questions and don't be afraid to take risk. Groups are random but it's not as bad as it seems. Start early bc it's hard to rush it.
Tests and hw are extremely easy but if you think you have a bad group day one you might as well drop.
Take him for MGT 300. He is fair and the class isn't bad. You will pass if you put in the work.
Dr. Bachrach was a very talkative guy. You can tell he is really passionate about what he does. Homework is super easy and you should always get a 100%. Attendance is mandatory but it's not hard to go to class. Before every test he tells you how many questions there are per chapter and every topic that will be on the exam. Tests are also online.
Dan Bachrach was a good professor and overall good job. You need your group for the final project to have some try hards in it that do most of the work.
A weird professor who constantly talks about his past life in lectures like people care. 100 question Tests, but you get notes, so they aren't challenging. My grade was decent for the most part, but the Business plan dented it cause group projects suck. I wouldn't take him if I were you, he's not terrible but he's definitely a little out there.
Unaccessible outside of class throughout the entire semester. Graded extremely harsh on the business plan (which your grade essentially rides on and no other professor grades how he does). He gets off track in his lectures. Just take someone else if you can, i have major regrets and didn't even get much out of his class.
Do not take this professor if you want to pass. He assigns the normal workload and throws a 26-page group project at you for the entire semester. I was sitting at a B in the class and due to me getting a bad group, we got a 33% on the project. It's worth 20% of your grade, so my grade went from a low B to a D+, and my section was flawless.
He is a great professor and does a great job of breaking down material and making it easy to understand. He is tough on grading the final project which can get messy depending on your group so get it done early and do check-ins with him. He is one of those professors you wish you could have every semester. Great guy.
Professor Bachrach is a great guy and wants you to do well. The overall class is easy as long as you go to class and do the homework. However, the final project must have a lot of time and work put into it. It is graded strictly, but he gives you a good understanding of what he is looking for. Make sure you have a responsible group though.
Great professor. I recommend that you start the big project early so that you are not rushing it by the end of the semester. The lectures are very boring he talks a lot, so it is easy to get distracted. Tests are super easy. Overall it is an easy A class.
The consistent part about this professor is his grading on the final project. My team and I of 8 students put in massive amounts of work and modeled our business plan after the example he gave us of an A+ project. We got a 58%! He grades based on opinion, not based on a rubric. Do not take this class if you want to see your hard work get snuffed.
Cares about his students and is understanding. The Business Teams are crucial, though, so if you don't like your team, leave the first day.
The whole course is a joke of a "therapy session". Instead of trying to affirm differing viewpoints of leadership/ethics, he caters to some people's opinions and tears you apart if he doesn't agree. The whole course is easy until the final project is due at the end of the semester where he holds the power to plummet your final grade (and he will).
he's good you should get an A
If you have a bad group, SWITCH it will not get better I promise. If they aren't going to class or willing to respond do not second guess like I did.
Dr. Bachrach's class is a waste of time and an embarrassment to the MBA program. Playing charades and reciting corporate buzzwords is not productive by any means. Most students stopped coming to class after the first few weeks. Such a shame considering the interesting world of ethics and leadership that we could have actually discussed.
Professor Bachrach is great at breaking down complex topics. The class is manageable with engagement, but the final group project can make or break your grade. For study prep, Unstuckstudy and other tools like ChatGPT proved really helpful.
BACHRACH is the MAN. Getting an A in the class is easily within reach if you show up and do the homework (which is super easy). Even if you have a don't have a good business plan group (which I didn't) getting a good grade is still possible. Bachrach made the class enjoyable and worthwhile. Would definitely take again!
The business plan is a make or break. Dr. Bachrach is pretty relaxed about most of the class and made the lectures interesting. Would recommend starting the business plan early. 10/10
The class is straightforward—80% tests/quizzes, 20% final project. Tests are manageable if you keep up. The project can make or break your grade, so start early. He can grade harshly. In groups, don't give credit to slackers. Follow instructions closely for the best shot at an A.
