Totally cool ass class!

This is a very cool class and all should take it.you get to learn all about relationships. and how to make it better.so by the time you are ready to get married. it just work for u.

I really enjoyed this class. Mr. Beaver has a cool personality and makes the class interesting. It is just lectured and your grade is based on like two exams, a final, and a paper..if I remember correctly. I loved this class and would take it again in a heartbeat!!

You really use the information he teaches. You will be surprised at how much you learn. He is a very funny guy and a good speaker.

Great teacher! The class was always interesting. We hardly use the book. Almost everything we learn is from powerpoints, discussions, and movies. I recomend this teacher.

Class is super easy. Just show up, pay attention and read his books. They were under .5 on Amazon. I didn't read one and ended up getting a C in the class I don't care either way because I learned so much. I use all of his methods in my relationships. He actually made me excited to go to class. No homework, only finals and they're all from notes

Very interesting class, although not as in depth about human sexuality as I had initially thought. A lot of discussion on sex and violence. His approach was very open and the texts he required are books he wrote himself which I actually enjoyed compared to other professors who wrote and published their own work. Overall easy class. Just show up!

His teaching are amazing! He teaches stuff about life that everyone should know. His teachings have helped me in my life in so many ways. If you have not taken his class you should! It is awesome

I totally recommend the class! Very easy just show up and take notes. If you do that you shouldn't have to read the books to pass. Plus, the class is really interesting will help a lot with your personal life.

Everyone should take this class. This is the only class you will actually use in your life. I definitely have used things that he has talked about. Dan is very passionate about the subject and makes you want to be there. He does cuss a lot, but its pretty funny.

Awesome teacher. super laid back and funny. Best class I've ever taken. You can relate pretty much every thing you learn to your every day life. To pass the class: show up and pay attention which is easy because it's all so interesting. Reading the books isn't necessary. Every person should take this class.

great teacher, great class, has a good sense of humor. i enjoyed it. only thing due is a paper for your final and two multiple choice midterms.

He is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He cracks me up. Every time I go to class, I could be in a bad mood and by the end of class I was laughing! He's hilarious. You don't really need the books since he writes them, he teaches them.

As a hard science major, I took Dan's class as a blowoff course to meet a transfer requirement, and didn't go in expecting to learn anything. As an accomplished practicing psychologist, however, Dan offers the wisdom of experience instead of just scholarly theories. One of the few classes I've actually LEARNED in at LMC. Highly recommend.

Dan Beaver is an amazing teacher, theres 3 books that are required and he wrote them. This is pretty much the only class that i found relates to real life. I came in as a Psychology major and this class really made me love the field even more, if you are a psych major you will love this class

Well, this class wasn't what I expected at all. I actually enjoyed his lectures because they pretained to real life. Great relationship tips as well, even if you're single. He requires his books, but to be honest I didn't read any of them. Tests are pretty much common sense to pass. Just keep the cell phones hidden though! Highly recomend his class

I took this teacher during Spring 2012; This class was the most interesting, and I wish I had it more than once a week. Take notes if you feel the need, we didn't use the books that much. Tests are easy; almost like common sense. Overall, great class. Although, there were many wives who would blab about personal issues with marriage; annoying.

Professor Beaver is a very smart man. He knows what he's talking about being that he is a Marriage and Family Therapist. Class is super easy. No Homework, All you do is take notes. & it's actually interesting, You actually want to come to class. He's pretty funny to. Overall Great Class. Highly Recommend.

I think the rating of easiness is way to high. This class is really informative and interesting information. Im not a good test taker so I got a c if you arent serious you wouldnt get a good grade.

TAKE THIS CLASS! Pay attention to lecture(which isn't hard because it's interesting) & you'll do well. He teaches straight from the book. Hands down my favorite class I have ever taken! Applies to real life. Dan is an amazing teacher, funny, and really knows his stuff. It is totally worth it to take this class! I loved it!!

Hands down the most useful class at LMC. I learned more from this class than I expected, great class for the real world. Lots of note taking, don't miss a class. If you want an A, read the books cover to cover.

This is the one class that I looked forward to going every week. He makes his lectures sooo funny and interesting. As long as you read the 3 books for the class (which isn't a hard read at all & is actually interesting) the exams should be a breeze for you. I love Professor Beaver, I seriously recommend this guy! Best professor at LMC !

Not a difficult class, all the information he gives you on human sexuality is completely relevant, the class notes, lectures and book readings are on intimacy and how it is key in sexual relationships. This class will get men laid and keep marriages alive.

Extremely knowledgeable class. You have to read a lot. No homeworks. Very interesting topic. Be prepared for challenging. Definitely I recommend this professor to any class! He is VERY attractive man.

Class topic was interesting and very relevant. No homework, just have to read his 3 books. His humor is entertaining! If you don't go to class and take good notes, you won't really do well. He is more than helpful.

this class was lively and very informative. even though the notes he provides in class are already in the book you have to read, its still important to come to class to see what hes talking about because you might not even have to read the entire book. just the important parts. easy class. no homework.

This class was so easy. He made everything clear and it was all straight from the book and you didn't even have to read it if you listened and took notes. There's only three tests, no homework. There's one essay but it's about you soooo it's really simple just do it omg

He was the best psych teacher I've ever had. His lectures are amazing and you can tell he really cares about and understands the material he's teaching. They're really easy to listen to and learn from as well, as most of the material is applicable to your life. Only one paper throughout the semester and tests are easy as long as you study the notes

A very interesting class that actually helps in real world. He is lecture heavy and you need to read HIS books. 2 midterms and 1 final & a paper on your sexual history are the only things that go into grade book. One opportunity for extra credit. You MUST go to class to pass but he is very funny so it's worth it.

Very applicable class to real world. He likes to push class participation but you can get by on not saying one word. 2 midterms, 1 paper, & 1 final. You don't even really need to read the books, tests are primarily based off of lecture notes so be sure to go to class and take thorough notes.

Great Prof! What he teaches is actually applicable to your life. Show up to class take good notes. I never bought the books and I got an A. Do the extra credit. Do the paper which is super easy. Study the notes before the test and you'll be good. He is a really good professor. I would take his class again! I had his class Tues/Thurs in the morning.

Interesting lectures, Only 3 tests no quizzes or homework, class is pretty easy to pass books are no necessary as long as you show up and pay attention to the power points and lectures! he's pretty funny too, i loved this class :)

Dan Beaver is amazing. His class is all lectures but you enjoy them because they're interesting. You can buy his books but don't need them if you go to class. You only take 2 test and the final and one paper and that's all that's in the grade book. Test can be challenging if you don't pay attention. Such a great class, I'd recommend it to anyone!!

Dan is the best! Most inspirational teacher i have taken yet and he is hilarious. He is always talking about subjects that are extremely interesting. You have 2 tests and then the final and a 5 page essay-which is extremely easy because its about your sexuality history. I would take over and over again. Come to class and you'll pass!

Professor Beaver is very insightful and adds comedy to his lectures.

I highly recommend taking a class with Beaver. Not only does he make lectures interesting and funny, but the lessons apply to all relationships and can be used in everyday life. He makes it clear that attendance is mandatory, although it isn't part of your grade. Reading is important but can easily pass without it as long as you pay attention.

Excellent teacher, he really knows his stuff and is always well prepared and ready to answer questions. you should take notes it would help you on the tests. only 3 exams (2 mid-terms and the final) one final project really really easy and you have the complete semester to do it and one extra credit. No mandatory to read the books.

Honestly I loved this class. His lectures are not only informational, but theyre very easy to relate to. Only 3 tests and 1 paper. He says attendance is required but it isnt. You wont need the books either as long as you get all the notes. My only problem with this class is he can come off as condescending, but otherwise the class was great.

This was such a fun class. He says you need all 3 books, but as long as you take the notes and listen you'll be fine. Really easy class. He makes the lectures fun, only 3 tests. And there's a 50 point extra credit assignment. Would recommend to anyone.

I love this man with my whole heart. He is a fantastic teacher and overall human. The content that he teaches you will use for the rest of your life and that is the best aspect of him and his teaching. He is hilarious, and his test couldn't be easier if you have a brain. I'm considering being a Human Sexualities Professor because of him.

His class is amazing. It is very easy to pass if you go everyday, you learn a lot about life and yourself and he is really funny. He really knows what youre talking about and is very straight forward. He will answer any questions you have.

Awesome, well educated professor & my favorite class so far. Class is strictly lectures, but they're always really helpful & inspiring, & I was always bummed when I missed class. Plus, the textbooks (all authored by him) are just self help books, so buy & keep them! Take this class & don't take any other professor! It's literally like therapy.

This class was so fun for me! The teacher really does make it interesting! Even though its mostly lecture; its topics that wont get boring. Has 3 tests throughout the whole semester! Everything you do in class is on test! Definitely would take him again!!

The content from this class changed my perspective on so many things. Professor Beaver knows his stuff. If you take what he shows you and thoughtfully apply it to your relationships and personal life, youll start to experience the quality of what a true romantic relationship should be and consist of. He wrote his own books that you need to read to pass the exams. The content in the class is very important and everyone should learn it, but the way he acts when someone needed to leave or came in late made many students uncomfortable, and didn't make it feel like a safe space where we could use the restroom without ridicule.

Every class is lecture which can get boring but the material is so interesting! The notes were powerpoints & they were spot on with his tests. You only have 3 tests plus the final. I took about 4-5 pages of notes every class. Easy A. Just make sure you listen to lectures & stay off your phones!

Psych14 is one of those classes that changed my life. Beaver teaches you what loving yourself is, and what a healthy relationship looks like. Idk why his last name is Beaver when he is actually the goat. If you pay attention in class and take notes, class is an easy A. If you listen and take what he says seriously, life closer to an easy A.

He really is an amazing professor and he honestly tells you exactly how the class will go. If you dont plan on going to class you will have to buy the books but if you go to the lectures like I did you dont need to buy them. Take good notes and dont be afraid to talk when he asks the class questions. Definitely would recommend to anyone

This class is probably my favorite out of any other class ive taken at LMC. The lectures are super interesting and you come out of that class with a whole new mindset. Also extremely easy, either go to the lectures or read his books and you pass with an easy A. Nothing else in the gradebook but tests and a very easy essay. definitely recommend him!

He's the best psychology teacher I've had yet. The only thing that goes into the grade book is exams and your essay, so make sure you study your notes and ace them. I never bought the textbooks since it's all mainly in his lectures, but if you want to get them to annotate and take notes in the book that's fine.

Amazing teacher! Not a lot of work only a 5 page paper at the end of the semester and 2 tests. The material is really interesting and while attendance isn't mandatory it was helpful to attend. Whatever he teaches you will read in the books. Overall it was an easy A so take it you won't regret it!

Prof. Dan is a great guy that really knows his subject. He's not tech-savvy at all however, and that can make his class a little harder to navigate when it's completely online like mine was. Overall, a great dude with a quirky sense of humor and a genuine wish to help people succeed in his class and in their relationships.

i didnt attend his classes all of the time due to work but whenever i did i loved it, he really knows what hes talking abouti feel like i really learned a lot about relationships and even myself, i definitely recommend taking this class. take notes on his lectures & youll pass!

Dan is a great guy. He has you read 3 of his books and are tested on each of them. There's one paper about your sex history but you don't have to write about it if you're not comfortable. You're only graded by those 4 things, so read and listen carefully. Lectures were very interesting and engaging. Highly recommend!!

He helped me alot with learning to love myself. His class was super interesting and he genuinely wants people to understand the concepts of loving yourself before loving somone else and teaches us stuff we were never learned in HS regarding sex. We had 3 tests throughout the semester, 1 personal essay. No homework or quizzes.

One of the courses I would recommend anybody to take. The material is very well connected to anybody's life. The homework and tests are so simple as long as you pay attention to the lectures.

You like lectures? Do you like having your grade be dictated by 3 things(4, if you do extra credit.)? then you'll love this class, you won't find yourself doing anything for the entire semester other then take notes, and doing those exams (all multiple choices, with true and false questions.) Overall, if you're a strong reader/noter, take it.

Professor Beaver's PSYCH-014 class is informative and fun! His humor and engaging lectures make learning about sexuality comfortable. Be ready to read his 3 books and take notes. Beaver's class is pretty straightforward - just pay attention and you'll do well. The material is interesting, and lectures are engaging. I found unstuck ai helpful for prepping for the exams along with the textbook.

Loved this class and wished I could've taken it in person. Attendance is not mandatory, but he prefers is since he holds live lectures. No homework other than staying up on your reading for mid term and final. Easy class. Professor is funny and straight forward. Recommend him.

Funny Professor and didnt give out homework. You purchase three books and test on each book. Some test questions were written awkwardly and can trip you up but overall its was easy if you pay attention and take notes. I felt bad as it was an online class and nobody ever wanted to participate in lectures which really irks him because hes old school.
