He has amazing lectures because he talks you through the assignment and what you have to do on the assignment. He also gives good feed back on what to change or add on the papers you write. He is caring because if you are having trouble or not understanding something he will explain it to you so you can understand it better.

Daniel Bernstrom was an awesome teacher. His coarse set up was a bit rough for someone looking for order and structure, however it was easy to figure out after some thought. Great words of encouragement and insight into my works. I would definitely do his class again.

This was a great class. If you did the assignments great! if you didn't you received 0 points- therefore you won't succeed in class. All was said in the opening video about introduction to class and expectations. overall very fun class, thanks!

There was a lot of papers to write in this class but I mean, it is composition one so I saw it coming.

I didn't know what to expect coming into this class, but I was met with an interesting, fun, and new environment to learn about some movies I love and new movies I have never seen before. If someone is interested in learning about film and wants to learn more about what goes into making a movie, I would recommend taking this class for sure!

I really liked learning more about films I wish the class was longer. The way you set up your lectures and assignments are really easy to follow. I alway enjoyed being in your classes thanks for teaching.

I like the fact that if we missed the due date for an assignment, we were allowed to submit it at a later time. It really helps with the stress factor of getting assignments done, because not every teacher is flexible like that.

Professor Bernstrom is a great teacher. I feel like I learned a lot about writing in this class. The assignments kept me busy and were challenging, which is a good thing.

Was very understanding when it came to different things. A lecture was missing and he was able to give me extra credit for catching it. Promptly responded to emails regarding different questions and the due dates were appropriately spaced out to allow for "life to happen." Would definitely take a class with Dan again!!

He always gives great feedback on your work. He lets you know what areas could use some work and how to improve and he also tells you the things that you are doing very well at. He is always willing to help you and wants to se you succeed and he sees the best in each and every one of his students.

I had him for my last English class and enjoyed and learned so much that I decided to have him as my professor again. He had zoom lectures and I had kept on going to them because it was a great vibe, fun, and I had learned a lot. He really values the student as a person and is understanding and honestly just wants you to succeed and do well.

I had him for Composition 1 and knew that he was great with helping if I did something incorrectly. He did it again and was very responsive when I needed him. He's great at giving 2nd chances if the mistakes were fixable. There was plenty to read and do, but because of this, I understand so much more than before taking this class.

i like how we can resubmit our essay as we are working on it if we dont meet the criteria on the first try. THe only thing I didnt like about hime was that he would sometimes take a long time to get back to you on emails or if you have a question about the paper. Other than that the class was straight forward and relatively easy.

Professor Bernstrom did a very good job helping students find and fix minor mistakes and errors throughout the course. He also provided students with Zooms in case we needed some one on one help or just had a few questions. Overall, he was a great teacher.

This professor was awesome! He always helped me when I emailed him. I learned a ton and it was not an overwhelming amount of work. I only had to write one paper with a topic of my choice and each week read the online text book and take a quiz that had two attempts. Be sure to read all the assignment instructions though. Favorite professor so far!

Professor Bernstrom has been my favorite teacher here at Minnesota West since I cam here. He is also willing to help whenever needed and will let you take your time with the course. I found the weekly lectures to be very helpful in completing our assignments. Reading and studying is key to doing well on your weekly quizzes. I suggest you take your quizzes on a desktop computer. This class was great overall to attend I had fun!

I would definitely recommend taking a class with Professor Bernstrom. He is very helpful and friendly and his instructions are always clear so you know what you are going to have to do. He wants you to get the grade you want and is willing to work with you to help you get that grade and he wants you to enjoy class and not be overwhelmed by it.

For the textbook he has links you follow to read them and they are free so you aren't required a textbook for this class which is really nice. He was hands down the best teacher I have ever had even better than my high school teachers. He is easygoing and treats you with respect. I'm seriously going to miss him and his class. 100% RECOMMEND!!!

Daniel is a good professor. The class was not to bad. If you do the work you will pass with an A. The class focuses almost 100% on diversity in literature which is not a bad thing, just very repetitive. I would take it again. Very Friendly.

Great instructor, this was my second course with Bernstrom and I'd take another!! Very easy going on grading but still makes you put in a good amount of effort. If theres conflict in grading or the assignments, he's very open and understanding. 10/10 recommend Bernstrom!

This professor really helps his students succeed as best he can. He creates videos explaining every assignment and discussion in depth. Late work is accepted with no penalty, but this can sometimes lead to falling behind. He also has kinda a lot of discussions, but they are designed to help you in the writing process of each of your essays.

Mr. Bernstrom is an amazing teacher, and he made this class much better than it should've. I am not a fan of writing but Bernstrom made it easy. After attending Mr. Bernstroms online class, I can definitely say that he was one of my favorite teachers ever. He really cares about all of his students and goes out of the way to make sure that all of his students' mental health is ok. He did a great job teaching and showing instructional videos, and he did a fantastic job with assignment set up.

Daniel Bernstrom is a great teacher. He helps you out and explains things very well. As long as you do your best and show that you are trying you will a good grade. He doesn't expect perfection, just that you are trying.

I would recommend Mr. Bernstrom to anyone taking ENGL 1101.

Mr. Bernstrom posts videos walking students through every assignment, so whenever you don't know what to do just look back and all the answers are right there. He is not super strict on assignment deadlines, but if something is late he will make sure your on the right track.

I think that the way Professor Bernstrom chose to structure his class and schedules was incrediable, checklist and videos that were extremely helpful and easy to follow. The videos that he would make go into detail about the assignments. Feedback was also constructive. His willingness to help his students when needed was amazing. Great Professor!

Professor Daniel Bernstrom has an incredible gift for teaching and is passionate about what he does. His teaching methods are very clear and concise. The class is paced just right so you are still being challenged but not overwhelmed. If this teacher were to teach any other classes.. I would sign up just because he was the best educator I have had.

Professor Bernstein was a GREAT instructor! He made the class easy to understand with his videos, examples and weekly zoom meetings. Even though this was all online class I thought he was very involved and gave students everything they needed to complete the class with a good grade and didn't expect anyone to be perfect!

This was an online summer course, Bernstrom was very attentive, inspirational, funny and caring. He would answer emails and give positive suggestions. He posted videos that were super helpful and he genuinely wants every student to be successful as long as they put the work in. I would definitely take another class from him.

Mr. Bernstrom is a very open minded instructor when it comes to topics for papers and will probably accept any topic you want to write about. He is also very flexible with your schedule and understands if you need to leave class early or can't make it to class for a day.

I really enjoyed this class and thought the professor was very good especially for someone like me that is taking PSEO. The only suggestion I would say is to have more examples to go off of as the direction wasn't always clear and could get stressful.

This is the first English class that I have ever enjoyed.

The class was good overall. Even though i joined late it never felt like i was lacking behind or that i wouldnt be able to get back on track but with the help of teacher i got through the class quite east

I do think that he is a great instructor and he actually cares and I feel like he actually takes the time to get to know the students and talks to pretty much all of the students one by one pretty much every class period. I think that he has helped me a lot with my papers to get better although I still am a bad procrastinator.

This professor is very easy to get along with even when you are doing the class online. When they post lectures, it is easy to understand what you will be learning about that week and if you have any questions the lecture videos usually had the answers. When you have a question, they respond in a reasonable time. In this class, you learn a lot.

The professors did a good job creating engaging lectures and picking a multitude of topics related to the 60s that were interesting. The assignments had clear and to the point criteria, and were fairly easy to complete.

Prof Dan was very kind, caring, and empathic towards his students. The class was very interesting and just the right level of difficulty I felt. Dan was flexible and easy to get ahold of if a question was to be had outside of class. I would 100% take another one of his classes.

You basically have three and a half papers. Then you submit them to a tutor twice and then you submit it. It is really slow paced but you can go ahead if you want. You can submit them after the due date with no docked points, except the final paper.

He is very willing to help you succeed and answer any questions that you have. He is great to help you understand what to do when you are doing the assignments. Overall awesome teacher.
