By the end of ACC 296 with Brickner, YOU WILL KNOW if you want to go into accounting or not. He's a fantastic teacher, but the class is hard. You will HAVE TO read the book. There is homework due every class and a few assignments, if you do well on all of them it will move your cumulative score up a grade. The tests are HARD. Study for them.

Professor Brickner is awesome! I never rate professors, but I decided to because he is the best professor I have ever had. Its not all about school with him. He takes time to go over information that is helpful for the future. He cares about the future of his students and always passes along internship/leadership program opportunities.

Dr. Brickner is a very caring and dedicated teacher. He helps students succeed not only in class but also in their careers too. I took his class last winter and it gave me focus and direction for my career goals. Because of his class I was much more prepared for the recruiting season this semester. Excellent teacher overall.

Professor Brickner is one of the best professors I've ever had. He takes personal interest in his students, both for the success in his course and in their careers. He encouraged me to participate in recruitment this fall and I managed to get an internship. Lots of hw, but not overly difficult. Tests are challenging, but that was anticipated.

You have to attend every class because participation is counted towards your grade. If you miss a class, you really get lost. The book partially helps, even if you read all of it. HE GRADES HEAVILY. He only has two exams, rather than three. His extra credit are around 1 to 2 points. Overall, he makes the topics harder than they should be!

His lectures aren't good. Very confusing; skips around chapters, doesn't explain thoroughly like examples or directions, goes through homework more than anything and tells you if you're wrong or right. Reading the book is required, but it doesn't help because he is confusing, so any question you have, just throw out the window. WORST TEACHER EVER.

Professor Brickner is my favorite teacher. He is extremely organized and explains things in a way that make difficult concepts easy to understand. He is also very responsive to email and is very patient in answering questions. The class is not easy because the content is pretty detailed but he makes things easy to understand. Highly recommended.

If you cheated or took 240/1 online at a CC, you will not do well. This class weeds out people who are not ready or not really interested in ACC. However, if you understand 240/1 and put a little bit of effort in this class Easy A. More importantly, this course gives you amazing info on being an accountant, certifications, and which courses to take

He's a great professor but this class is definitely a lot harder than 240/241. He tells you on day 1 that you have to read the book, show up to every class and do the homework. He wasn't joking either as you definitely have to put the work in. But Brickner gives you all the tools that you need to do well. Just follow his advice and you'll be fine.

Very organized and that trait will be required from you to do well. Perfect taste of what accounting is like in the real world. Take a few classes with this guy, catching his rhythm is tricky at first, but once you get, and if you still like accounting you're in the right field. He will teach you, but also force you to teach yourself. Not easy tho.

He's a great professor, but repetitive. He has a narrow point of view of resumes, and marks points off for things that would otherwise not matter in the professional world.
