Dr. Conforti is really funny and he keeps the class interesting and not too hard

The class was a bit difficult, but Dan Conforti has a GREAT personality and really makes the class enjoyable. There was one essay paper due. The tests required a lot of studying, and were not easy. Ended up with a C in the class. Little bit of homework

Nice guy but a stickler in the classroom. Do the homework, study for tests and write a _good_ paper, and you'll be okay.

This honors class he taught was, in my opinion, rather easy if you're a person who tends to be rather adept at getting homework done and attending school regularly. He is a very clear well-spoken teacher who will help if help is needed.

Take good notes. have to be "audio person" to survive this class. Fun class and you learn a lot from him. Test is a bit difficult, but no tricks.

Difficult teacher, difficult tests. Show up every day ON TIME, take good notes and you will get a decent grade. As a guy Dan Conforti is awesome. Hes funny, understanding and a really good teacher. If you like political science take his class.

i hate government but he made it fun. his tests arnt easy,but if you show up on time and take good notes you will pass no problem.hes a great guy, really funny,2 midterms and a final but you have to read that stinkin tip oneill book. would take him again.

I got a C in the class. The best I can do. His exams are hard but not impossible but I still did bad in them eventhough I studied. I studied for 4 days and got a C on the exam. I think he's a funny guy though. Entertaining but challenging.

Conforti is awesome! I learned so much. He goes off on weird tangents tho. Tests are mc with essay but easy if you listen to lectures & skim text. not as hard as everyone says, just pay attention, DON'T be late! I was lazy in this class & got a B.

Great teacher! he's very balanced in his look at politics, and he makes a lot of jokes. don't be late, or he kicks you out. and if your cell phone goes off, you have to buy him coffee at that moment. his tests are fine if you study the notes and read the text. gives extra credit opportunites too.

Overall, it's an easy class. I never read the any of the reading materials and I still had a B. Test was easy if you at least listen during class. Read all the materials, especially the Tip O'Neill! It means a full letter grade difference!

The material he talks about his pertinent to the tests. He uses real life examples to better explain his points and relates the subject to his students. His tests are easy and he curves them and gives you a study guide. He lets you know exactly what material is going to be on tests.

this has been one of my favorite classes. Conforti is a very good and entertaining teacher. You need to be there for classes, and pay attention. It isn't really necessary to read the book, but it helps as a reference--he gives great study guides if you use them you'll pass. barely any hw.

Excellent teacher! This is not an *easy* class but also is not a difficult if you show up and pay attention. About 90% of his tests are covered in lecture which are interesting. As far as biases, he is moderate leaning to the right on economics and to the left socially and plays both sides equally

this class was too early for me, but other that that i liked it. conforti is republican but leans on the more liberal side with social issues, so he gives a fair balance b/t both sides. his lecutes were interesting and fun to debate in his class. i would definately reccoment this class to all.

Conforti was a great professor. His lectures were clear and he was willing to answer questions. His tests are difficcult if you don't study but he does offer an extra credit paper toward the end of the semester. He is very interesting and his views are pretty well balanced.

YOu have three easy scantron tests. He curves each test and gives a S.G. Gives preprintee lecture notes. He is a great teacher with a great sense of humor. Gives you a S.G for the main textbook. Lectures are interesting and well organized.Offers 1 EC Paper which can raise grade 1 full letter grade.

I just graduated from UCLA. Dr.Conforti was a better teacher than anyone I had at UCLA. He is a wonderful lecturer, encourages questions and definitly makes you think. Fullerton has a real treasure, I hope you all appreciate him. I am now a first year law student at UOP.

He is a very clear, straightforward teacher. Lectures are structured and easy to follow. Has his own Study book for the class which outlines the test, plus gives a study guide for each test and gives opportunities to go over questions. Read Tip ONeill and pay attention and you will do fine.

Conforti is a very helpful and knowledgable teacher. Although he does share his own views, he also offers the other side (I'm a democrat, and he never offended me). You do have to go to pass, but his lectures are enjoyable if you are interested in the subject. His jokes are corney, but funny. If you need help, ask-he's always willing to help.

He is the best teacher that i have had since high school for Government!!!!!!

The best teacher at FJC!!! He is sooo cool and he is really funny! His class is pretty easy and he gives extra credit. he makes fun of the dumb kids in class and dont be late, he HATES that!!!

Conforti was the best professor I ever had. I took him over summer for 100 and it was a VERY easy class. Anyone who says it wasn't easy is completely crazy. He gives you the printed study guides and info and if you read tip o neil you get an A on everything.

Boy does he sure have a good memory. He remembers faces really well. I saw him jogging on the horse trail near my house when I was walking and he said hello, shook my hand and said he enjoyed haivng me in class.. I had him a year ago. My class had like 100 students in it too!. Well, I enjoyed his class. Lectures were very easy to follow.

Do NOT be late to class. he hates it and will make you leave. really good lectures. pretty funny guy. really need to study but he clarifies very well what will be on the test. great teacher take him if you can.

Dr. Conforti is pretty chill and makes the class interesting. So far it's been easy. I'm pretty sure I'm in that class w/ the morons who comment from the back row about the televisions being a necessity.

Like everyone said. DON'T be late to class, or else you owe him starbucks. He tends to go off topic A LOT... which is a little annoying. His tests are a little hard... but there's only 2 tests and a final. So if you're not a good test taker, don't take this class. This class is mainly a test-based standard grade, if you know what I mean. Good luck with his class and don't be late!

Brilliant, articulate, and fair. He gives everyone a chance to express their views but if you cannot defend them intelligently you will be ripped. Best teacher at FC.

I'm very confused after reading some of the ratings below, because I know Dr. Conforti rather well--he's one of my mentors--and he is a very open-minded guy. He doesn't always believe what he says in class, but is being the devil's advocate and trying to spark a conversation. If you have an opinion, be able to defend it. tests are rather easy.

Solid teacher with crystal clear lecturing style. Definitely doesnt play hide the ball like some of the other instructors at this school. Tends to be a conservative on fiscal and foreign policy issues and a moderate liberal on social issues. If your a bleeding heart or a bible thumper then he is going to be too centrist for you.

Take this guy. He is funny and has a great sense of humor. Tries to give both sides of controversial issues in lecture. Hie lectures are clear and well organised. He gives PRE-PRinted lecture notes. Tests are EZ and are MC. NO comprehensive Final. Offer EC. No quizzes. Gives S.G for each test and for the textbook. Not much notetaking required.

Good teacher. Likes to make jokes in class, but is not really as funny as he thinks he is. You will learn in this class. Tests are easy if you study. Won't let you in if you're late; you have to take the later class to make up for absense. Knows what he's talking about. Take notes and don't sleep in class. Make yourself noticed; he likes that.

Dude, you are in college so act like it! Dont be late, dont let your cellphone ring, and dont fall asleep! Take notes and study the "blackbook" which he wrote. Tests and essays are super easy and he gives EC. I thought it was so cool having a lawyer for a prof. He isnt an airhead like so many polisci teachers and brings balance to a dept of libs.

Conforti is awesome!!! One of the better teachers I've had. He is hilarious and makes the class fun. He has a small book of his notes he makes you buy. Study that lil book and take good lecture notes and you'll get an easy A. You won't have to read the text at all. Like everyone else said dont be late or he will kick you out of class that day

I love this guy. I had him for Poli Sci 100 and when I saw he was up for another class I jumped on the chance to be his student again. He's a great teacher, if you take him you'll be happy with him.

Conforti is a very knowledgeable, fast-paced yet humorous teacher. Lectures are lively and interesting, while including a few impressive examples. Since he is a lawyer, his experiences and background aid his teaching and topics. Class went by quick and painless. Tests are easy if you study and put effort in. If you're a slacker, don't take him.

I took this class at CSUF and got an "I". Conforti's class is worlds apart. You will learn a lot but he likes to go off on tangents for about 30 mins that are completely unrelevant. Great teacher otherwise.

He's an amazing political science teacher. i had no real interest in the subject until i took his class and now i love it. he's extremely funny and makes class fun!

I hated polisci, but he changed that. He's hilarious when he's going on tangents and interacts with students quite a bit. I suck at tests but got an A b/c I listened to what he said we should study. Textbook is only useful for answering SG questions from blackbook. Straightforward with expectations. Cure for political apathy & boredom.

I thought the class was going to be a snooze fest because it started at 7:30am, but it's really interesting. He is super funny and makes a lot of jokes. Sometimes he goes on for 20 min (off-topic) tangents, but other than that I enjoy the class. Take it!

For sure, its a hard class. Dont take this class if you'r always late to the class. He is strict on the time. However, towards the end of semester, he'll loosen up a little. Tests composed 60% of the lecture and 40% of textbook. They are hard if you dont study both. Do the extra credit and show up every class. You will have a chance to get A.

Pretty good teacher..scares his students in the beginning saying his class and tests are really hard..but its not that bad..if ur looking to just breeze by not doing anything dont take him..you have to put some work in but he gives u an e.c essay which helps out alot like from failing to pass..but he actually makes the class interesting..

AMAZING teacher with his own corny sense of humor that once you get, is hilarious. His lectures are fun and he tells you(& repeats so you get it down) what you need to know. I'm interested in politics b/c of him. Just study for the test and you will do great. He gives you everything you need to study so the grade you get is the grade you deserve.

I took the online class, and let me tell you, it was great! Dr. Conforti is a really nice guy, and he actually bumped my grade up to an A, even though I should have gotten a B. Your grade is based 100% on tests that are all from the text. The tests are really hard, but you have nothing else to do in the class but study for them.

The people who say his class is too hard are probably really lazy because I don't ever get good grades and I earned an A in his class. DR. Conforti is a great teacher! We had a class of 150-speak and he'll get to know you and help you as much as he can! He explains clearly, and tells you the important facts you need to know. STUDY-STUDY GUIDES,& READ THE BOOK, & you will be fine. But STUDY HARD. His class is'nt easy, but it's a good class for your gen. ed. requirement Good Luck!

He is a great Professor. At first I was so afraid taking his class coz some students told that he is really hard and hates tardy.........but I read the study guides and aws regular in the lecture and earned an A which was awesome for me. He would recognize u in the crowd of 150. Just AMAZING teacher.ALWAYS read his notes before the test.

Great professor. Knows his stuff and brings current issues into the class discussions. Offers one or two extra credit assignments, tests are kinda easy if you pay attention and take notes. Just don't be late to class!

Online course is really tough. 100 essay type questions per test(4 total) 60 minutes to complete.

I took his online class and This is a greeat online class. Conforti lays out eyerything for student success. He provides study guides, bonus guides. You do have to study. if you are looking for a joke class this is not it.

Love this guy. He is always cracking jokes whether they be slightly risque or not. His lectures are great, you learn a lot. Pay attention and take notes. Two tests and a final, but the final is basically another test. None are cumulative. Do not be late, but if you are only a few minutes late, SIT IN THE BACK. If more than that, do not even come.

He is TOUGH...but you actually learn. After you take the 2 exams, and the final you pretty much know the ropes of politics. He gives one optional extra credit essay. You NEED the textbook, his course materials book, and his notes to pass... His exams are 35% Textbook, 50% notes and 15% Course Material Book stuff. You need all 3 to get that A!

Great teacher, you have to show up to class, because the lectures are on the test, doesn't give out much hwk (3 assignments this whole sem.) but you have to study, or you will fail, period. Always available to answer Q's but sometimes you might have to make an appt. because of his limited office hours.

Greatest professor in his subject. Looking at the other classes I wish I would have taken his class in person. I took his class online and found it my most difficult class. This could have been me: I am an auditory leaner. Intense but helpful.

Katie you will be glad you got in. Full Coll is lucky to have him. Turned a cynic into a person who sees politics in a new light. Study when and what he tells you to. Dr. C want students to be successful and provides what you need, but you have to work for it. Put in the effort and you will be well rewarded. NEVER BE LATE and use the study guides.

First off, Don't be late! he means what he says. He tells u what to write, and gives exactly what u need t study. His lectures are funny and entertaining! when it comes to tests read the book, black book, ur notes from class, and study guides. other than that just dominate! ohh also try not to sit in the first two rows, he moves around a lot.

Mr Conforti is an amazing teacher he really knows the subject and is always on top of things. He makes the subject interesting and funny. Yes his class is hard and you really do have to study his test are hard but he goes over everything in class. I really enjoyed his lectures!

Conforti is a great teacher with a hilareous sense of humor and I like his class well enough but his god complex like attitude coupled with his hypocritcal actions outshined all of his good qualities. The class is as easy as you want it to be; be in the know of current politics on both sides. The text must be read reliagiously; I say this guy is on FIRE that's why he's hot as a flame. In order to do well you must overperform. There's no such thing as dumb questions in the class.

He's a great guy, but he is a really hard professor. If you're planning on retaking government at fjc, you're going to want to take him over Naji Dahi any day. 3 tests worth 150 points, 2 assignments, and 1 50-point extra credit essay. Attendance is important, he won't let you in after the time the class starts.

He wont let you in if your even a minute late, very strict. I was a lazy student but LOVED his class, i would look forward to going to it every day and he makes you want to learn the material. I really thought he is a great teacher, wants you to learn the material, and makes it fun!

Super funny teacher and really keeps class interesting but he is one of the hardest, most strict teachers Ive had at Fullerton. His class is based off of 3 pretty difficult tests and one EC paper. And dont even think about trying to get into the classroom if you are a minute late.

To pass the class: read the textbook and take notes during lecture and study those. Easy class. Funny professor. Open minded when it comes to talking about politics. Strict when it comes to arriving on time--won't allow you to come in one minute late but is gracious enough to let you come to one of his other classes if you miss yours.

Great teacher! Funny and easy to listen to. Tests are hard though, you really have to study from the book and the lectures to do well. DON'T BE LATE! If you are even one minute late he won't let you in the class and you are marked absent. I would definitely recommend him though!

Great class. Wasn't too interested in Politics before this class but I am now very interested. Conforti is funny and strict on attendance.

CONFORTI IS THE MAAAAN! Super fair % tells you everything you need to know for every test. STRICT ON ATTENDANCE! *BEWARE* The test are challenging so make sure you study. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! IT'LL SAVE YOUR ASS! I failed the 1st test and still managed a B. He loves what he does and makes class interesting every morning. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This man is hilarious. He gives you a study guide (in the black book) for every test. Reading isn't necessary if you don't mind receiving a B in the class. He tells you "WRITE THIS DOWN, IT WILL BE ON THE TEST." Tests aren't as hard as he says they are. Just be in class and pay attention. This class requires studying maybe 2 hours for each test.

VERY STRICT on timing! Won't let you in even if you're a minute late. Total 3 test(including final) He is kind of funny, but thinks too much of himself. His test are not that easy, have to be on top of things. For EC if you do really good might bump your grade by a letter up. If you don't like politics and don't know the ABC's of it don't take it!

Conforti is awesome. Really funny and makes class interesting. He sets you up to do well if you just do what he says. If you're late, don't come to class, don't pay attention or don't study the study guides you won't do well. But if you do all the above you'll do just fine. I would take him again if I needed another class he taught.

Strict, but incredibly fair and straightforward; funny and willing to help students. Follow and do what he says and you'll pass. I don't recommend for non-majors. Good lecturer, esp if you're interested in subject. Attendance MANDATORY. DO NOT BE LATE, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN. Not a class for study slackers!

Took his online PoliSci class. The ONLY thing required for the online class is the four exams, 100 points each. He gives you tons and tons of practice tests and work to study, so you have plenty to work with. He's very clear about what to do and what not to do. Study what he gives you and you'll get an easy A.

Good professor. He has a lot of funny stories and makes political science interesting. The class is pretty difficult but if you keep on top of your reading and studying, you should be fine!

Solid Teacher, Hands out practice exams that make the real exam super easy. He also had a pretty awesome grading scale.He does show some mercy. Also keeps in touch via email a lot. I do recommend

Dr. Conforti is one of the best Professors I've had a FC. He has a sarcastic, funny sense of humor that kept me awake even though it was an evening class and been in other classes since early that morning. I learned a lot, take him!

I loved this class his lectures are very interesting and he has a good sense of humor he is very straight forward on what you need to study but he is not the easiest teacher but if you keep up with the readings and take good notes you should be fine

This class is interesting and I am not even a polsci major. He tells funny stories and gets distracted often. No homework just 3 tests pretty easy. Attendance is absolutely mandatory. I would take him again!

This professor is hard as hell. He is a good teacher. you have to attend his class in order for you to get a good grade. he writes his test and expects you to know the material. he is educated and knows his stuff well. For those of you thats enrolling for his class I recommend that you have to start a study group because if you dont you will get it

Mr. Conforti is an excellent professor. I highly recommend his class. You will learn a lot and you will never be bored. If you attend every class and do all the reading and study, you will get an A. Prior to his class I did not like political science, but I very much enjoyed the class. It's a must take. By the way, plan to be on time to his class.

Love this class! Look forward to coming at 7AM. Pros: No HW!! Great lectures, loves what he does, learning so much ! Cons: He tends to get off topic a tad too much. Lot's of reading (about 4 hours a week to keep up) but it's pretty interesting. I even enjoy reading the book Man of the House. Take him! Wish he taught other POSC courses!!

Funny and sarcastic professor. Old school expectations(will not let you in if you're late). Multiple choice tests, but it's A LOT to remember. STUDY is a must. Most if the test is on his lectures. Lectures are anything but boring(surprisingly) because I'm not very interested in poli. Sci.

Conforti is an amazing professor. SUPER funny & very smart. Knows his subject well. You MUST pay attention to lectures and go over notes, because that is about 80% of his tests. Honestly, not a hard class if you keep up with reading and study his notes! Everything he says will be on the test, IS ON THE TEST. Not a boring class at all surprisingly!

When he says be on time... he means it! There's only 3 exams in the class, 1 extra credit essay and 2 or 3 take home mini assignments. The black book is the most important book because it contains all the materials for the class and he includes 2 study guides inside per exam. This is one of those classes where you can't cram at all.

He was one of my favorite teachers at Fullerton college. His lectures are entertaining and funny. He tells you what to put in your noteswhat will be on the test. If you pay attention, show up, and read you will pass. I didn't think I would like gov but he made it interesting. But don't be late!

Just took his exam 1 and it was super easy, but you need to study a week before and throughout the week and the night before for you to get an A. If you take good lecture notes, study what he says to study, read the blackbook seriously, you'll get an AB for sure. BEWARE: no absences, tardiness, and he's too opinionated. DO EXTRA CREDIT and ALL HW!

Great professor! He is entertaining, and doesn't give homework at all, if any it would be extra credit opportunities. There are three tests in the semester, and with each he has given an extensive outline of what is to come, so there is no worry there.

If you don't take him it is your loss. Great Prof who cares about student success.

Dr. Conforti is a great professor. The material is difficult, so you need to work for your grade. Right before each exam he will give you 100% of the topics so use that to you advantage. Use the black book study guide definitions to study as well. If you do badly in this class it's your own fault for not giving it any effort. RECORD LECTURES!!

There is a lot of material you will have to read, however it is all relevant. He teaches this class like a higher division class and as such you are expected to be an adult about it. He is easily one of the best professors I've had at Fullerton College. Go to class, take good notes, study hard, DO NOT miss class/be late and you will be golden.

I'm currently taking his class at 7 am and if you are not a morning person then do not take this class. If you are late he will not let you in the class. His class is fairly easy as long as you attend class regularly and look at the factoids sheets he sends via email.

Conforti is a great professor and really wants you to pass his class. He is a tough grader, and expects you to learn the material and come prepared to class. If he tells you something will be on the test, it will be on the test. Doesn't try to trick you. Gives extra credit. Lectures are interesting and he cracks jokes. Dont be late to class.

mandatory attendance and it's not just because you get points for it, you need to hear his lectures to do well on the tests. the tests themselves can be a bit difficult but by using the study guides in the black book, you should do fine. IMPORTANT: read Tip O'Neil Speaker of the House, that is very important. get it early and start reading.

He's a great professor. He truly does care for his students. One must study in advance if they wish to pass the exams. There's a lot of reading. Don't miss class. Be on time or else he won't let you in class.

Professor Conforti is such a great teacher! He really loves what he does. Make sure you read because the test are tough. He is always honest about what will and what not will be on the test. Definitely recommend him and you never get homework except for one assignment but its super easy!

Professor Conforti has the best lectures and he does take time to answer question during class he is funny, he is fair and he leans toward the right but respects people who see things differently, I highly recommend this teacher but you better be on time cause he will literally lock you out of class

Class attendance is worth 50 points, not a big deal in the scheme of things. Personally, I think his black book has all the info you could possibly need. He also emails very specific exam review sheets to you, and he is extremely clear of what's on the exams. I barely studied and did extremely well! Don't be scared away! He's a great teacher!

would take him again, good professor. tests are based mostly on lectures and some of the textbook. sends out a lot of helpful study guides. don't be late/fall asleep/talk during exams or he'll kick you out. makes a lot of jokes that may rub some the wrong way but his lectures are interesting and entertaining. makes you buy three textbooks though :/

Professor Conforti really has a passion for Polil Sci & wants u to have enough information to judge for yourself if you like it or not. He does send alot of emails but they were all very helpful in me passing the exams. There are only 4 exams, you read the chapters, & take the exams . Thats it. If you're not a self starter this class is not for you

You don't need to buy the textbook, just the black book. Don't be late to class, he won't let you in. He seems like a hardass but he is one of the BEST professors I've ever had, and I didn't care for politics. He's a moderate conservative but has a lot of respect for everyone's views. Very knowledgeable, DO ALL THE STUDY GUIDES IF YOU WANNA PASS

The best professor I have ever had. Even if you don't like political science, he makes class so interesting. He lectures the entire class period but does leave room for class discussion. I honestly miss this class and I normally hate school. He is one of those professors who is so passionate about what they're teaching and it shows.

Great professor, but you'll need to study a few hours a week to get an A on the exams. That's what I did, at least, and got A's on all three exams including the final. Make sure to look over the factoids he sends you through email because they're literally your study guides. He reviews a week before the exam so that you'll have better understanding

Lecture heavy so show up to class. He is an engaging professor, so as long as you stay attentive to what you are learning you will do very well. Oh, and show up on time because he locks doors!

It was a privilege learning from the best. When I came to his class I had zero knowledge about Politics, after this semester nobody is going to fool me again.
