Mr. Cooper is a very easy teacher to pass. Guaranteed "A", assignments are easy to do. There's no final only a midterm and quizzes but not hard. The only problem he has is that he tends to have favortism and only pays attetion to the ones he likes. Other then that he is a pretty cool teacher.

Thic class is probably the easiest class you are ever going to take in college! you get to use note cards on quizes and on tests and on the midterm. He gives no final. Work load is a bit too much and dies down after the midterm, which is why I recommend to take him only for Fall or Spring, but overall, GREAT teacher! Cooper is really nice I took his class in Fall 2010. He doesn't give out a final. In test and quizzes you can use flashcards, and in the midterm. the class is pretty fun really enjoyed it. he explains every new assignment with clarity. Recommend to take this class and if possible take him as the professor, won't regret it.

Honestly, he's a down to earth guy. He actually motivate you to achieve more (which is a huge plus). Most important though you learn how to understand yourself better and understand how SMC works. He's a homie take him, you won't regret it = ).

Great Professor. Practically a quiz every week based on textbook, rarely on lecture notes. Allows notecards on tests. Two major projects, but always gives plenty of weeks to work on them. He is so chill, but is strict with attendance and punctuality!!! Easy way of getting an A, as long as you are responsible and keep up with reading. 70 pnts EC .

You’ll want to grab a beer with Mr. Cooper. He’s THAT good. Counseling 20 isn't a grad requirement, and actually has a LOT of work, but it’s mostly busywork. Do your homework, and make note-cards on the chapters. Quizzes usually are open note; you can use only notecards though. “Final Exam” is not that bad, just review. Take Cooper!

Well, most of what he taught was common sense. However he did have his shining moments. I went from a good high school student to a great college student. He follows his syllabus which is great and he is awesome. Differently recommend him. I wish he taught other courses like English, social science, psychology because he is that great of a teacher

The class is an easy-A busywork class designed to teach freshmen how college works. If you take this class, make sure to take it with Cooper! He knows what he teaches and makes sure the important stuff (like financial aid) is clear. It's super easy to get an A, and you learn a lot in the process, even if some of it is common sense.

Recommend this class. The professor is really cool and funny. He wants to give the most A's and the class is easy. I've gotten A, B, C, & mayb D on a test yet scored an A. Final is pretty much questions from readings on textbook / previous test questions. Gives extra credit & 3 major assignments. But they're pretty easy. You can get the A!

Great guy, 100% the most genuine professor you can take, he clearly cares about teaching his students and it's honestly the easiest A you can get if you do the work. Offers so much extra credit you can get 100 points above an A if you wanted to. You really just have to occasionaly read a chapter from the book show up to class and thats all it is.

Thinking about taking Counseling 20, take it with Professor Cooper, I've learned a little more about myself and where I'm headed in the future. No matter what the assignment is, he'll always help you. There are very few teachers like him that actually care about you and motivates their students to do well not only in class but in the future.

Professor Cooper was an amazing teacher! He was available for office hours, gave helpful feedback, and allowed redos for assignments. His lectures were captivating. He has a good heart and makes class enjoyable!

He may be good, but he's very strict on photography (which is plagiarism and prohibits us from doing it), phone usage and side conservations. Also, he claims taking Pol. Science is required which concerns. For the rest of it, sometimes he makes us laugh about his past years.

Professor Cooper is extremely kind! He will thoroughly review the assignments and prepare you for everything he assigns in his class. If you are thorough with your assignments and your diligence is seen through your work he will give you extra points and those extra points go a long way if you are continuously submitting quality work.

Professor Cooper is the most considerate and caring educator that I've ever met. He is humorous and friendly, and above all, he wants to see ALL of his students succeed. Highly recommend taking his class! I almost wish I had failed just so I could retake this course with him.

I highly recommend students taking Counseling 20 with Cooper! Such a great professor, an understatement. He shows that he really cares about students and the materials he teaches. He's funny, helpful, and reliable. Answers emails, and definitely made this class a fun experience. Participation does matter and even offers extra credit!

By far the best professor I will ever have, absolutely amazing lectures with hilarious stories. He's very caring and understands personal issues! Loves all his students equally and radiates amazing energy. Homework is very easy and redo's are allowed so it's hard to fail the class!

Professor Cooper is such a caring and enthusiastic teacher. You can tell he really enjoys his job and wants the best for his students. I took his Counseling 20 summer course. As long as you do your homework and do decent on the quizzes, you will get a good grade in the class. He is a kind and funny teacher that I think everyone would enjoy.

I loved prof.cooper he was very sweet to everyone and caring i took his class fall 2022 he helped a lot but he does call on you sometimes out of nowhere to see if you are paying attention. his tests are super easy he basically gives you the answers you just need to study.

Very simple and an easy A class if you turn in all assignments and hw, gives quiz answers in class and allows to use flashcards, very caring and tries to make lectures enjoyable, pretty strict about no phones and technology, highly recommend if you need a ge course completion

Took his class on Zoom, but he still makes an effort to help students as much as possible! The class isn't too difficult and it's much more about learning and helping yourself become a better student, major projects also aren't too bad, and he usually offers office hours for support on them if you're unsure and have questions.

I highly recommend taking Couns 20 for the first semester to have an overall view of the college path. It's an easy A class. Very caring professor with lots of funny stories to tell! Mainly everything is done on paper, he allows flashcards on tests. He always has good advice if you need guidance for your future and can talk to him about anything, his work is easy and provides a free textbook for the tests that you NEED to read. Easy A.

As long as you do all of the work, it's an easy A. A lot of his assignments/quizzes are short and easy. He lets you redo assignments and gives so many extra credit opportunities. He will definitely teach you a lot of useful techniques and advice to get through college, so this class is highly recommended.

He's a very chill professor who cares about the success of your future. He teaches through lectures which aren't too heavy but be prepared to take notes! It's essentially the center of his entire class. While there are several major assignments, they all revolve around exploring your interests and, ultimately, self-discovery.
