Mr. G is a sweetheart. Very excited about the material and his enthusiasm is somewhat contagious. I would definitely recommend Mr. G for students who are willing to do the homework. Take notes during class and the tests and homework assignments will be easy.

Mr. G has an awesome personality!! He is super friendly and loves math! Unfortunately for me, his pace was too fast. I found his tests very difficult. I did all of the homework and took notes in class but still was not able to keep up. If you struggle with math or haven't taken any math courses recently, I would not recommend him.

I love Mr. G, I think he is one of the best teachers here at SSC. Some complain that his pace is too fast but he offers plenty of after school help. If you did not do well, you either struggled in math to start with and did not seek additional help from him. Im taking him for a second class and love his teaching style!

If your not good in math, help is still extremely there if you need it. To do well on the exams, redo the homework to understand it all and you'll get an A. He is very friendly and nice.

This teacher is the bomb! He took a hard subject in which most people fail it the first time and makes it as easy as 1, 2, 3. If you need this class and want a good grade, do yourself a favor and take this Statistics with this teacher. Most of your work comes from his notes, so save the money and do not buy the textbook.

Took him for Statistics, he was awesome. He took a tough subject and made it into something very understandable. I took him over the summer and he still managed to teach extremely well even during the short 6 week period. Makes sure u understand the material and he lets you use a note card to put anything you want on it for the tests. Great Prof.

As good as they come. Clear, concise, with a genuine interest in his students. The man is brilliant but can still relate to someone trying to learn. A lot of professors are brilliant but forget (or never learn) how to teach. Take this man for whatever class you can. In upper level classes, good professors are scarce. Diamond amongst others.

Fun, easygoing professor. Very likable. However, I found his teaching style difficult to learn from. He is kinda all over the place. I learn math best when taught step by step. If math isnt difficult for you then he is the guy to take. Wish he would review actual problems from the tests.

Great teacher! if you dont understand something he really explains it. he is very smart and knows what hes talking about. You will NEVER get out of class even 30 secs early. if there is 30 secs left he'll write down the title of the next section and go until the class is supposed to get out.

Friendly & easy going. Great at explaining concepts intuitively. Covers basics & expects you to figure out the rest on your own. He's indecisive at times. Tests can be extremely difficult. Let students use TI-89 so the rest of us were penalized with showing tedious work. A lot of Ex. Credit, mostly advanced & hard. Personally wouldn't retake him.

Fast teacher, but its not by choice with the material being covered. If you study and put in the time to learn the subject..his notes are self explanatory and allow you to understand easily. He also gives a review before the tests. DO THEM OVER AND OVER.

Class is extremely fast so you need to attend and study hard if you plan on getting an A. Great professor and very helpful especially if you go to his office. But he offers hard extra credit and does not have a website with any supplemental material such as old test to help you so its crucial that you study or ask him for help if you need it.

This is Calculus. But this professor is goofy but teaches very well. He gives extra credit, but way to much that some people got higher grades because of it. If you have to take calculus 1 to graduate and don't care to learn it, take him. You still learn the topics probably the same as everyone else, he just hands out free extra credit.

He is great teacher. He says some corny jokes here and there. What isn't there to like. He is quick going over notes but overall it's pretty easy to grasp. He grades fairly. Take him for Stats!!!

This guy really is tremendous. To do great in this class, study ALL of the notes from lecture for the tests. Sometimes, you will also have to study the homework (online), but he will always tell you what you need to study for the tests. He even gives out study guides for a couple tests. Terrific professor!

Great teacher! He is very passionate about math,which is refreshing, helpful and at some times funny. His love of math and energy are to great reasons to take his classes. The material on tests highly reflects material covered in class. Which means the tests are only as hard as you make them.

Presents the material clearly and goes slow enough to follow yet fast enough to keep your attention. I found Statistics to be much more interesting and easy than Algebra thanks to him. I was very wary after being duped by this site into taking an awful algebra professor, but this guy is the real deal. Knows his stuff, pleasant to be around, and most importantly, he's concerned that everyone understands what's going on. He'll get through sections quickly without rushing, which leaves a ton of time for in class review.

He is a great stat teacher. I took this class B4 and did not pass one exam. Mr. Gabilando simplifies things that everyone can understand. He utilizes every sec of his class, but keeps you interested. Take step by step notes and highlights and you will complete your homework in record time and have great understanding. He gives reviews b4 exams.

He is freaking hilarious! The BEST teacher I have ever had and that's me being nice. He helped his students "get it" no matter what it took. He's so goofy and makes you laugh continuously. He'll keep you the entire class period, but you won't even know. His reviews are black and white and overall like I said, he's the best. You won't regret it!

Daniel is the best-est ever! He is a mathematics God. In college he was known as Shape Shifter because he shifted all the shapes to triangles because those are his favorite shape. He’s entertaining so I wasn’t in a hurry to get out of class and I actually understood the subject as opposed to just getting extra credit. I’d definitely recommend.

I have never been great at math. If it's taught correctly I can retain it and do well. This prof was one of the best I have EVER had. He made it easy to understand & was always excited about it which made it fun. He also gives great reviews, most of which are also on the tests. STAT. METHODS I Fall 2014 B Term 1020-1211 8 Weeks Course. Professor G is very energetic and loves his career. Lecturesnotes are easy to understand. Exams were easy. Study the notes (I got A's)! There is a lot of Homework that is tedious to do but it helps. Grading: 4 Exams 60%, HW 20%, and Final 20%. Take him he is Awesome and Very Helpful!

This was my first time taking Stat& it couldn't have gone better. Gabilondo was INCREDIBLE. I'm not usually great at math& accidentally signed up for B term so I was super worried& thought I'd dread coming to class 4 times a week but it was super beneficial& fun! In my college career I've been blessed with 2 awesome math professors and Prof G is definitely one of them. He truly cares about his student's success. HW is a must. I took him from Calc I, Calc II and Differential Equations, two of which were in a condensed summer term. He explains things very clearly, plenty of examples (when they don't take 40 mins (D.E.); he gives out papers that can be used to easily prepare for a test. He makes this difficult subject as easy as possible. Nobody ever regrets choosing him.

Easy A. He made calculus easier than the 3rd grade FCAT math test. Also, he would always give me +1 for drawing a cat on the front of each test. I'd really recommend drawing cats on the front page of every test!! One of my tests went from 89 to 90 because of it!!!!! Definitely take every math class with him for the rest of your college career!!

Best upper level Math Professor at SSC had him for Differentia Equations, and he was by far my favorite professor out of the 8 math classes i've gone through. Professor Gabilondo came to class every day so excited to lecture and he has full confidence that you will pass his class (He likes to boost your self-esteem). Best math teacher I've EVER had. He makes everything so easy to understand, and is dedicated to helping/making you pass. Review before every exam, pretty much the SAME exactly questions that will be on the test, just different numbers/words. 10/10 would recommend.

Great Prof.! If you go to the Review days for each exam you will pass the class with an A. He goes over every question that will be on the exam and what topics are on it as well. MyMathLab is what we used for HW and only 29 sections. Some of which only have 4-8 questions. Answers any questions you have and emails back very fast. Drops 5 HW grades.

At first I was skeptical, but I ended up loving this teacher. He's really enthusiastic about teaching and he will go over something 3000x if you don't understand it. Super nice, he drops 5 of the lowest Hw grades. He didn't give quizzes out to my class. His Exam reviews are pretty much the exams. He's cool & he looks like Dr. Hodgins from Bones.

Look, it's up to you. He assigns a ton of homework at the start of the semester, but he gives you essentially the whole term to do it. The tests aren't too bad if you just pay attention in class. He's hilarious and a GREAT time. You'll enjoy. P.S. a lot of the time, the example problems are just the test problems with changed numbers.

Professor Gabilondo is the epitome of what teachers should strive to be like. He is great at describing math concepts and there are plenty of opportunities for extra credit. I finished the class with over a 100 percent. Do the homework (strive for 95% and higher) and do the practice test.

Prof. Gabilondo is a wonderful teacher. He is patient and happy to help, and it shows that he cares about what he does. He does a great job explaining the material and Calculus II is a challenging course, but he made the class fun and I learned so much. I took him previously for Precalculus and was glad to take him again. I'd recommend him!

Professor Gabilondo is one of the best advanced Math/Calc professors you will ever have, he is extremely energetic , fun, and knowledgeable. Attendance is not mandatory.I took him for MAC2132 in the summer,and I would 100% recommend him for any math/calc class, his test reviews are great.

Incredible professor. Very unpretentious and grounded. Would take him again in a heartbeat. His office hours are very popular, but fun too, with students from various classes helping each other as well as being helped by the teacher.

Easily my favorite math teacher. Currently taking him for College Algebra and plan on taking him for Stats. The homework is assigned at the beginning of each section and is due on test day. There are practice tests that he goes over before the test and explains what is and isn't on the actual test. If you have the option to take him, do it.

He is jus the BEST College Algebra math teacher I could have ever hoped for. I hadn't done math in over 10 years and had to do both pre math classes to this course but he really made it so easy and awesome and stress free (mostly- I mean, it's math). He is awesome and I'm so happy I took this class. You won't regret it. Office hours are awesome 2!

BEST TEACHER EVER! Easy A with 4 tests and a final & barely any homework. The lectures actually help with the tests instead of useless info. Super funny and chill. I would take him again, and I would even major in statistics just to be this guy's friend. So yeah take him asap and if you try a little bit, you'll pass with flying colors. HE'S AWESOME

Prof Gabilondo is my all-time favorite professor. I took him from College Algebra through Calc 1 Honors. He teaches you exactly what you need to know for his tests and generally gives an excellent study-guide. He's always happy to help you during office hours. YO!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TAKE THIS PROF. He's the freaking best professor at SSC. 4 exams (1 dropped), barely any HW, NO QUIZZES! Question for question study guides for tests, AND super accurate study guide for final exam. If you don't actually show up for class you probably won't do super well + his lecturing style is hilarious so don't skip!

Prof. Gabilondo is a great math teacher, whether or not you're good at math. He knows how to pace classes so they don't drag, while also making time for questions and review. He's kind and funny, and explains everything clearly and in a fun, accessible way. Make sure to take the practice tests! They parallel the tests, and are worth extra credit.

honestly , I've always hated math and failed intermediate algebra twice but Professor Gabilondo made College algebra so simple to understand.. he does videos showing you how to work out each problems. The single best teacher I've ever had.

Took this class online, his videos really made me understand the material and for me, was more beneficial than being in class because you can pause, fast-forward and rewind! Every test has an extra credit and the practice tests mirror the actual test, just numbers changed around. I have gotten a 105 on every test and I am weak in math. TAKE HIM.

Took his college algebra online and it was a breeze. We used mymathlab for everything but the final. He posts really helpful videos for each chapter and how to do each problem. The practice test were really useful because the were very similar to the test and you got extra credit points for doing them. If you need and easy math class take him!

Literally one of the best Professors I have ever had. Goes over the material in a non-boring way where you actually don't yawn. His class is amazing and he has a youtube channel that'll help you if you're doing the hw. Made DiffEQs not seem like the hard class it is said to be.

Gabilondo is the one professor to take for EVERY math course. His lectures are so entertaining, if he messes up and you catch it, you get extra credit, he follows the schedule accordingly.. Overall, he loves what he does, he's gonna make sure you pass.

I took this class on-line through mymathlab. Anytime I had an issue with the way the lab graded my stuff, he went in and graded my things by hand instead. He also gave partial credit for questions partially right when the lab didnt. Very kind professor, always helpful. Replaced my lowest test score with my final grade, which bumped me to an A!

Gabilondo is seriously the BEST math teacher ever. I'm someone who has struggled with math. Until him for college algebra. He genuinely cares for his students and does NOT move on from a problem until everyone understands. My class was 3 hours long at night yet no one minded because he was hilarious and kept everyone engaged. You won't regret it!

I am SO bad at math but I took Gabilondo and he was amazing! He explained everything so well and made sure that his students would pass. You just need to make sure to do your homework but he gives out study guides before each test so you know exactly what is going to be on them. 10/10 recommend him.

I took his class off of a recommendation from a friend and so I went as a transient student. If you're either at Seminole State or a transient student I couldn't recommend him enough.

Had previously taken Gabilondo for Honors Stats, and decided to attempt an already failed course: College Algebra. He only offered it online but man did I learn! He had videos for every section and the final. Only four exams and a reasonable amount of homework. I passed thanks to him!

Gabilondo is an amazing teacher who Ive taken for both Cal II and Cal III. Going to take him for another course and he really cares for his students and what their needs are. I wish there was more one on one time with him, but due to his popularity among the students his office hours are kind of hard to get that. Would highly recommend.

I had him for DiffyQ, and Calc III. Calc III is so easy. I didnt understand some of it, but being able to solve all of the test questions was never a problem. There is a take home test in DiffyQ, get a 100 on it. He is a lenient grader and tells you what problems to study. He has so much energy, and makes it easy to focus even during night classes.

I have one word: AMAZING!! Professor Gabilondo would explain concepts to you multiple times and would not make you feel dumb if you asked a silly question. Every question is a good question to him! If you pay attention in class, take notes and stay for the test review you will GET AN A!

He has been the best statistics teacher I've had. I've never enjoyed a math class this much. He assigns 4 exams and 1 final exam. He responds very quickly to emails, and I normally suck at online courses but he made it so easy to take. The videos are super thorough and explain it as if it were an in person class. This teacher is great! He gave very through videos of examples on how to do the homework. They made the homework very easy. If you get at least a 60 on the test he gives you one correct answer as extra credit. Answers emails promptly. Really nice, organized, and positive man! Would take again.

Best high level math teacher at SSC. I took DE and Calc 3 online in the summer thinking that my summer would be tough because of the course load. Professor Gabilondo made the two classes feel like a walk in the park. I felt no pressure/anxiety at all while taking these classes. Homework wasn't too bad (20-30 hours p/w calc and DE).Tests weren't bad

Reviews about how bad he was during Covid have to be students who simply cant handle online classes. Yes, learning from videos is different than lectures. However, if you are okay with self-teaching (all learning is really self-taught) and dont need hand holding, it will be a breeze. If you do the hw, test qs are almost the same!

If you're trying to decide on a math professor then take him, our school is lucky to have him. Has great videos for each homework problem. Has each section due every 3-4 weeks, so you can do your work anytime within this 3-4 week period. Tests were not very hard, he made sure we all understood the most essential parts of each section.

Professor Gabilondo is a BEAST! This guy makes videos for all the homework questions and is very engaging while teaching. Answers questions quickly if you have them. Differential equations isn't an easy course and on the tests the questions still require plenty of work, but he's not trying to mess you up. Definitely take him if you get the chance.

I had Prof. Gabilondo for College Alg., Calc I-II and DiffEq, and throughout all of those courses he has been a fantastic professor, probably one of the best I've had. His energetic happy attitude keeps everyone awake and attentive, and he makes it a priority to ensure everyone understands the material. Pay attention, and you'll definitely do well.

College Algebra flew by so fast. Prof. Gabilondo has made the class straightforward. Watch the videos for each chapter and you'll pass. Do the reviews too, that'll get you an easy A on exams! Took him twice for MAC2312 and Differential equations. Every Homework problem is identical to his videos so if you struggle just ask he will help you. The tests is the main point of passing his class. Youll struggle and give up eventually but keep studying hard only one of his tests are easy to at least get an A. He also gives out test reviews.

He was great! I took it online and couldnt be more happy. The class is on a different website than canvas. You can do the homework questions as many times as you want till you get a 100. You get points for just pressing on the explanation videos even if you dont watch them. Tests are lockdown but super easy just like the homework.

This professor explains very well. Throughout the course there are lectures for each lesson. In his lectures he teaches in a very simple and easy to understand way. I highly recommend him for statistics!

Took this professor for Diff EQ. This is one of the best professors to take. With every problem you face there is a YouTube video that thoroughly explains the subject and how to tackle it. Grade is based on HW and 4-5 exams (he made the final optional in my case). Just understand how to do the HW and you will get an A.

Professor Gabilondo has formatted the perfect class. You watch the lecture, do the assignment, take the practice test until you get a good grade on it, and then take the exam on the lecture material. He is very clear in his lectures and explains every problem step by step, ensuring that nothing gets twisted up during the explanation.

This class can be difficult at times, I really enjoyed it. The videos were sooo helpful, I managed to finish the course weeks ahead of schedule.

Best math (honestly, any subject) professor I have ever taken. Had me reevaluating my entire major because I enjoyed learning math so much. His lectures kept my attention, and gave me the most clear understanding of the material I've ever had in a course. Wish I could take more of his courses.
