I took pathophysiology with Dr. Gibson and it was a fun course. It was definitely different than anything I have taken before. It was largely discussion-based and presentation at best. There was not a lot of lecturing. I learned how to research better and be more critical with my reading. Overall, I really enjoyed this class.

This is my second time having Professor Gibson and if I could I would take another class with him. He explains things super well and is always open for questions in class and outside of class. He also has a medical background so he has a ton of examples that I think are super helpful.

Bio 227 is my second class with Dr. Gibson; I also had him for 226 and I must say he's the best professor I've ever had. No exaggeration. He knows this information, and presents it in a way that will help you understand; and encourages asking questions to make sure you understand. Loads of EC opps as well. He'll make sure you pass. Just show up!

This was my second class with Dr. Gibson! I highly recommend him, not only is he great at making sure you understand the material but hes also always available for extra help when needed. The homework can be time consuming but its helpful. If you get the chance to take his class I suggest you do!

I do not think I can describe Dr. Gibson in 300 words. He is an amazing professor to say the least. I did my undergrad at a private school and I am very upset I did not find him earlier. Dr. Gibson has a background as an ER doctor, which informs his lectures and his approach to teaching. If you love clinical stories, you will enjoy it. He's knowledgable, considerate of students, and makes learning the material fun. His exams are tough, but I believe he's doing an excellent job preparing his students for a future in healthcare.

Dr. G is absolutely amazing, he makes lectures so fun and interesting. He always has crazy stories or a good joke. His test can be a little challenging but if you actually come to class you'll be fine. He's easy to reach, offers SO MUCH extra credit. Dr. Daniel was amazing! He's super fun. Loved his class. It was a tough class because of a 15pg paper and two presentations. It was a lot of research! I had to put in a lot of time into this class. So that was tough. He's not a tough grader.

This class was a little tough because of all the research that has to be done for the essay, presentations, and written quiz. But Dr. Gibson is a very passionate professor that really enjoys teaching, and cares for his students. I loved taking Patho with Dr.Gibson! This class was definitely a little challenging when it came to explaining and writing a paper on certain diseases. I took biology 227 for Fall semester, and to be honest I did not think I would do great but his method of teaching actually sticks and when it comes to quizzes and exams everything he talks about during lecture just clicks. Class is very informative! Coming to class actually listening and taking notes will definitely help. Attendance was mandatory. Overrall, I will take his class again. Class material was a lot to learn but he loves questions and making sure students actually understand material.

Funny guy. Real world stories to explain topics. Attendance matters. Had 5 exams but cardio system had 3 parts that was basically 3 full exams SO it was honestly more like 7 exams + final. 20ish long assignments due by the end of the sem, so start early. LEnient grader and gives extra credit. Has very detailed powerpoints, and very long lectures.

Take advantage of all the extra credit, (THERE IS TONS). Make sure you have a routine in doing hw (THERE IS A LOT). He records the lectures in case you're absent. It's an easy course to pass the class if you give it time to actually study and pay attention. Plus, you'll meet Kitty, (cute cat who does random appearances during lecture).

He really cares for all his students and wants for everyone to succeed in his class. He is always rooting for us which kept me motivated throughout the semester. He offers so many extra credit opportunities and allows second attempts on exams if you would like to achieve a higher grade. He makes lecture fun and explains things clearly.

Dr. Daniel Gibson makes Biology 119 achievable. I am not sure I would have had this level of comprehension under another instructor. He is very accommodating and available, a very hard quality to find in a professor these days. I would definitely attend another class he teaches. Knows the material very well while teaching in a fun and loose style!

****MICROBIO 233**** I had the pleasure of getting Dr. Gibson for a second time as my professor and I mean this if you have the chance to take him as a teacher do it! He assigns a lot of homework and exams are lengthy but his lectures are great! He cares about his students and offers lots of extra credit. Not an easy class but he makes it fun.

Professor Gibson is the professor you would need to excel in the medical field. His prior knowledge in his clinical career brings great information and real-life experiences. ***MICROBIO 233** I've taken this class and did terribly but this time I did well. Professor Gibson was an amazing professor he made the topics relatable to real life. I took Pathophysiology, BIO 205 this Summer 2023. It is a hard class to take during the summer. The professor was amazing, funny, kept your attention, very passionate about the class. He funny, made the long four hours of class go by pretty quick. you need to attend and make sure to not fall behind. there is ALOT of work on connect. pay attention his tests will have you looking through all your notes!

This professor is honestly a joy! He teaches class for four hours but he makes his lectures enjoyable. He loves his cats a lot! They come into the zoom to brighten your day while he's lecturing! he gives heavy extra credit, lots of homework, and exams as well. The class can be a lot but you can pass it as long as you work hard and study harder!

Professor Gibson is awesome; he is very knowledgeable, and he will work with you if you communicate. I took his class for Micro and Bio 227, and I learned a great deal. A great professor would recommend. He also makes class really interesting.

really nice, there's a lot of extra credit opportunities, and he curves the graded, attendance is mandatory; after each class he grades you for it. he also gives extentions to everybody for homework and exams.the lectures are HEAVYYY stay focused and take note, notes can also be used for exams. goes off topic talking to his cats but its kindafunny

Dr. Gibson is a great professor, I enjoyed learning in his class. He incorporated real life medical scenarios in his lectures which made fun & engaging conversations. He provides other great resources & material to learn along with his lectures. He was always coming into class with a positive attitude and ready to answer any questions we had! :)

Dr. Gibson is a good online teacher. He records every zoom session for you to go back to, and look over in case you miss something. He's very clear on the information being taught, and he also offers help when you don't understand. He has a very fun personality, and this class is worth staying to the end; Trust me!
