Hes funny looking but he's a good teacher!
This is a very hard class, but Dr. Jones tries very hard to help everyone.
good enough chem teacher..hard class
Funny Diet-Coke Lovin' Professor. Very organized!
the study guide helps you out on the test..watch out for corney jokes, good prof.
Sweetest little teacher on earth....extremely helpful...makes hard class easy
He goes slow, and truely wants you to understand
He is a great professor. He goes slowly to make sure you understand everything.
sweetest little man, class is really easy, so are test best prof. yet
best professor that i have had yet...if you study you will do very well!
very caring professor, doesn't try to trick you or make things difficult.
Very Good teacher!!!
Very sweet teacher, multiple choice tests straight from study test
HE IS THE BEST EVER!!! the cutest man alive and i love him!!! yay for dr.jones!!
He looks like an old version of Austin Powers and he's cool
Very easy and very helpful. Answers questions clearly...the cutest lil guy ever
Cute lil man! Helpful, review notes study! A
Chem. SUCKS period, but Dr. Jones is a sweet man who tries HARD to help you :)
very difficult material, but review sessions make an A possible
He's a very interesting teacher who had an unexplained fetish with diet coke./
Best Teacher Ever!!!...very helpful, go to review sessions, study notes!
awsome chem. teacher. I miss him this semester...come back i need to pass.
He is an excellent professor. If you study your notes from class and the packet you purchase at the beginning of the semester, you should do GREAT! It you do the practice tests in the notes you purchase, you will do fine on his tests.
much better than k.striplin...well organized, good reviews for test and very clear and understanding..great prof!!
Wonderful professor! I love Dr. Jones, he can help you with anything as long as he has his diet coke
Very easy... his supplementary notes are very helpful and he is always willing to answer any questions!
Chem usually comes hard for me, but he makes this class so easy! Just study the material he includes on the study guide and you'll do fine! He is always willing to answer questions.
A nice guy with a sense of humor, but his voice often gets lost in such a big lecture hall, I had a hard time staying awake. Teaching style might be a little too slow for some. Study guides and practice tests are helpful.
nice teacher but kind of unclear!! He has hard test. But in all a good teacher
difficult material that is explained as much as it will be in the supplementary notes. buy the notes, don't go to class, and you should do just as well as if you did attend lectures.
He is really good. He goes over things many times and makes sure that there is time to ask questions. His class is fairly laid back, not fast or anything. His test are pretty hard, but if you go to class and pay attention, you'll do well.
This man will put ya to sleep!! He is very monotone, however, much easier than Striplin. Test ?s mainly come from supp. notes. Easy B I'll say
the most boring professor in the world...sit close in order to hear him. he is a very quiet man.sample tests pretty much make up his actual test. study the sample tests!!
wowzers...its boring
Great professor and gives out supp notes and practice tests. STUDY UP IF YOU WANT AN A
really liked jones for chemistry, he is really clear and goes through all the topics on the exams. The Notes he requires for the course make it much easier to follow. Very thorough and understandable. Basically if you go to class and pay attention he makes a possibility to do well.
Good teacher, explains topics well. If you pay attention, go to class, and study notes you will do well. Remember to stay awake during class!!
He's an ok teacher. Does the best he can with boring subject I guess. This man has been at UNCC forever, my dad had him when he was here in the 70s, so I guess he does something right. I was bored out of my mind though.
Good teacher. BORING but the class is pretty easy. Chem is hard, no matter who teaches it. Sample tests help alot, make sure you study. NO ATTENDANCE POLICY! He tries to be funny, but its pretty boring class. Just study hard for the four tests, he drops lowest test grade and you will do fine!
Chemistry is a subject that I find difficult, but I'm not having a lot of trouble in this class. I think that says a lot. He goes over things multiple times, which makes them easier to understand.
WOW! He is unbelieveably boring but his class is pretty easy. The tests are almost exactly like the practice tests in the notes. His printed notes help a lot. He is a nice man but he just bores youto tears....

Dr. Jones is really old but he's a very nice man and at least tries to make jokes. You HAVE to go to his classes or you will be lost and it will be up to you to find out what you missed.
He's really nice and laid back. The tests are kinda hard, but if you come to class, you'll be okay. He's not one that you can lay out of class though and still pass.
MIKE JONES! we love him. his class really isnt too hard as long as you study whats on the study guide and do the sample tests it shouldnt be too hard to pass his tests. but he's a sweet old man who sort of walks like his right leg is shorter than his left. bring him a Diet Coke and you'll probably pass his class!! ha.
great teacher...i dont care what ne one says. i failed chemistry in the 10th grade and ive made an A on every single test so far. you have to go to class, but if you do you really dont have to study at all. i would take him again no doubt.
Awesome Easy class. I recommend taking him. Tests are super easy. Sample Tests exactly like real tests. Weird looking old man. Kind of looks like penguin from the Batman movies. Walks with a gimp with one shoulder higher than the other. Loves Diet Coke. Highly recomend.
I did horrible in highschool chemistry but I've made A's on all my tests. He's a cute old man and funny in a corny way. Just go to class and do your work and its not hard.
It is really hard to pay attention in this class!!!
This guy is absolutely boring during lectures; however, his tests are straight forward and there is a curve. Overall he is a good teacher and very helpful with Chemistry.
Awsome professor. Gives sample tests that are a lot like the real tests. Go to class, problem sessions, and SI session and you will do just fine. I've never had chemistry before and I have made an A on all tests. I'd definetly take Jones for another class and I'd recommend him to everyone.
I like the class so far better than 1203. yes its hard.but its chemistry! his tests are so easy if you know the study guide, its straight forward. I'd take him again!
He is a good teacher, a very nice person. The class is hard because of the material. Attendance is not mandatory and you buy the packet of notes for the class and he just reads them in class and explains. So its very easy not to go to his class because you already have the notes. Challenging course though. I think i have a B or C.
professor jones is a great teacher. although his test are hard, if you come to class and pay attention you should do well. reading all the notes in his course packet, going over sample tests, and doing the homework will help you. chemistry isn't that interesting unless you are a chem major. he is an all around great teacher.
His test are hard but if you pay attention during class and study you'll be ok. My advice: do the sample test b.c. he gets a lot of his questions from them! He does not curve the test grades. He gives you a course packet that has all the notes in it but you still need to go to class and pay attention. I got an A in the class. He is a great teacher.
I thought he was awful. He'd get mad if people didnt answer him in class, and if anyone had questions about anything he couldn't answer them. All he knows is his notes from seven years ago. Not recommended
I had Striplin for 1203, and regret taking her. I wish I would've taken Dr. Jones. His tests are easier than hers and he teaches slow enough for everyone to understand, but fast enough to not get bored with the material. He kinda talks monotone but he teaches you only what you need to know, and nothing extra. I would def take him over striplin.
The studyguide helps
Although Chemistry is not an easy subject, Dr. Jones tries to present the material in the best possible way. Attendance isnt manditory but you'll be lost without going to class to have his notes explained to you. He rarely uses the textbook & teaches from his supplemental notes. Tests mostly come from practice tests & KEEP ALL TESTS for the final!!
I thought he was a nice man. Sends out study guides:]. Subject is of course boring, but there's nothing you can do about it. Only annoying thing was there were 200+ ppl in my class, half of which didn't know when to shut up so it was hard to hear him. But he is overall easy and nice. Just study & all will be well.:]
Come to class, stay for the problem session if you need help, I never wented to the SI session. He assigned problems in the textbook, but is not mandatory, but do it, because it's good practice. He's easy, not hard, if you need help, he is willing to help. He gives out study guides. It's good to read the textbook too just for better understanding.
Dr. Jones is amazing! He wrote the supplementary notes for both Chem 1203 and 1204, and they are very helpful. He sends out study guides and sample tests before the exams. Practice session/attendance is not mandatory. Very comical at times. It's unfortunate he's not teaching 1204 next semester. Definitely take Jones instead of the other prof!
Class material is difficult but Jones makes it as easy as possible. most of notes are printed out already but attendance helps as additional notes are sometimes given. Study guides for every test are available online and are very helpful. Class is boring but he explains everything well in class. Take him if you can
I had no knowledge of chemistry prior to taking his class and I passed the class with a 'B'. He pretty much reads straight from the text and supplementary notes (s. notes a MUST to do well in the class). Attendance is not mandatory, but I only missed 2 classes. He stays after class every day to answer questions. Tests are all multiple choice.
Jones is WONDERFUL compared to Striplin. They are the only 2 that normally teach 1203+1204. If you have a choice, Jones is the best. His study guides are basically the tests. He uses notes he made himself to teach the class, and hw problems from the book to supplement them. I cannot stress it enough--Jones is 100 times better than Striplin.
Dr. Jones is a great professor. I was extremely nervous coming into college a nursing major and then took Jones and made a 95 on my first test! He is a bit monotone at times but very funny as well. Too bad he isn't teaching Chem 1204 next semester! Jones is a must!!
He is the best teacher ever! He is so helpful and his tests are pretty much the same questions as the sample tests in your supplementary notes. He's monotone at times, but as long as you pay attention and take notes you'll be fine. I wish he was teaching 1204! Definitely take this teacher!
Great professor! Extremely helpful. It's easy to get that required "B" in his class if you use the Sample Tests and Supplementary Notes. He stays after class to answer any questions. His jokes are funny at times, but by the end of the semester you would have heard a few a couple of times:) I highly recommend him!
Dr.Jones is a great chemistry teacher he makes everything easier to understand. He doesn't hesitate to help you. He'll find a way to explain things to make them clearer. He loves diet coke, claims he isn't addicted to it but you'll see him drink one ever morning during class period. He gives out great study guides and gives lots of problems fro
Dr. Jones was a great teacher. He always made sure to clearly explain every type of problems that would be on the test. The course pack is extremely helpful. Do the homework in the textbook, and the test will be easy!
Great Teacher. Go to lectures and read his notes and the test are a piece of cake. He has a practice test and the exams are the same type questions just more of them. Go to class and do the practice test and it's an easy A
Fun class I understood everything
Jones is a good teacher, I had him for 1203 and 1204, definitely choose him over Striplin. Chemistry is a hard subject to begin with but he makes it easy on you and gives you exactly what you need to know for tests. Attendance isnt mandatory but definitely beneficial because not everything is in the course pack, but you still need it!
I had striplin for 1203 and Jones for 1204. Way easier than Striplin. Lectures are dry but he tells you exactly what you need to know and everything thats on the exams is on his study guide. Lot of memorization but I made 2 100's and a 95 on his exams.
The prof is a nice guy and kept well written notes. He writes everything on the chalkboard. Homework was issued every week and we bought a book from the Chem department for $3. Only downside are his exams. It'll take a lot more effort to get an A in exams since he does not really explain how to answer some of the questions. An A is possible though
Class lectures are a bit boring but he makes them fun by adding humor. Currently taking CHEM 1203 with him. Its awesome. Gives you a study guide for the tests. Assigns homework but doesn't take it up, its more for your benefit. Attendance is not mandatory but helps a lot. Great Instructor overall, can't wait to take CHEM 1204 with him next semester
He posts supplementary note on web. If you use laptop or tablet for taking lecture note, you don't need to buy it :) His class is kinda boring but it's really short class (only 50 mins). If you study a hour per a day, then you will easily get an A. If you have bad sight, do not sit in the back row
I HATED chemistry in high school, but Dr. Jones is very good at explaining the subject. It all depends on you as a student though. Use his supplementary notes, go to class, and study using the study guide and you should not have any problems!
Dr. Jones was by far my favorite professor and the most helpful! I had him for both the fall and spring semesters. His exams are easy, he gives out study guides and practice test. EASY A!
Nice professor and easy class. Just study the study guides he gives and you can Ace the class.
Dr.Jones is awesome take him!!! Chemistry is a hard subject, but he makes it easy to learn and understand.
Highly recommended! Study his study guides and practice tests, also if you know someone who took the course before try to use old tests to study as well because they are very similar to all tests that he gives. Good luck!
Professor Jones is a good teacher. I always found chemistry to be really hard, but this class is surprisingly easy. I'm currently taken it and so far so good. I made an A on the first test. He likes class participation a lot. To do well, study your notes often, do practice problems from the book, and study the practice tests. Good class overall!
Mr. Jones is precious! I didn't really understand chemistry before and he makes all the concepts easy to understand and does plenty of examples. He is monotone but he tries to crack corny jokes here and there. I have made high A's on all the tests so far and he doesn't give quizzes. Just study the supp. notes & practice problems. Taking him again!!
Dr. Jones is my absolute favorite professor. He's adorable and I love his corny jokes. It is impossible to fail this course if you pay attention in class.
Great professor. Always stays after class to answer questions. If you want to make an A, you HAVE to study- tests were the only grades in the class.
Jones is good and all but his tests are difficult. You really have to go over the practice problems at the back of the course pack in order to do well. If you miss more than two questions on the tests you're already down to a B and the only grades are test grades. Don't be fooled, his class takes work. Especially for Nursing, you NEED his class.
Dr. Jones is a great professor! I most definitely recommend him. Chemistry is not the most interesting subject but his lectures clarify the information perfectly. He will always take the time to answer questions. He is awesome, loved him!!
This course is easy as long as you pay attention and go to class. All tests are multiple choice. You do not need the textbook.
Wonderful professor! Even though he does speak in a monotone voice, he will try to crack a joke here and there. If you know the study guides and sample tests well, there is no way to fail the real tests. Sweet, old man!
Dr. Jones is without a doubt the best chemistry professor there is. His lectures may be a bit dry but they're only 50 minutes. You will always know exactly what's on the tests if you do the study guides and practice tests! Purchasing the supplementary notes for this class is important. Overall a great guy, would recommend.
Great teacher! He made everything easy to understand. Test are fair, everything directly from supp notes. He is trying to help every1 succeed, NOT out to trick someone like other chem professors. LOVE HIM!
By far my favorite professor! Everything is in the supp. notes! Never used the textbook. His lectures may seem boring but go! Copy down what he writes on the board and underline what he talks about in supp. notes! He's super kind- go to SI sessions before test! Study a week ahead of exam and make that A!
He is very nice and kind but i have never taken an econ class before so this posed a more difficult course for me. Easy tests because they are straight forward but he is very bland and its hard to pay attention. but he is very willing to help. he posts the slides online but they are hard to understand if you dont attend class.
Jones is a really good professor. I made an "A" in his class and never opened the textbook. You do need to study for tests though, as you won't pass if you don't. I got an "A" on every test because I studied though. Group studying is the best also, so find a group to study with.
He is an amazing professor, I hated chem in high school and made A's on all of his tests. You need to attend class to do well but the lectures follow his given notes. If you go to class, and study some you are golden. He is also very willing to stay after class and go over anything that wasn't entirely understood during lecture.
I took chem 1203 and 1204 with Dr. Jones and loved them both. He is very helpful and his tests are very straight forward. He is very willing to answer any questions you have and will take extra time after class to explain anything you need. His lectures aren't the most exciting, but he is a very helpful and sweet professor! Tests are from his notes
He is interesting sometimes. go to problem sessions, they help!!!
No homework, quizzes, or projects... Just 4 tests! It's a really easy A if you show up for lectures and study the material covered in class. He gives you tentative study guides for each test explaining EXACTLY what you need to know. A book is required for the class but you won't ever use it. Funny at times but very monotone.
Professor Jones was a really good professor. He will help you in any way he can. His notes are clear and even though he's boring, he's pretty funny. I'm definitely taking him again for 1204. You won't use the textbook unless you actually do the problem assignments he gives.
Professor Jones was a really good professor. His lectures are very boring however, he gives you supplementary notes (you do not even need the textbook except for problem assignments) and also gives study guides for every test. The study guide includes everything that will be on the test. Only grades are 4 tests and he drops the lowest one.
Sweet man, but do not let he nursing chem crowd fool you. Quantum Mechanics is extremely complicated & he did very little to explain it. He did not lecture, but gave "problem assignments" via email the day before class & expected you to be able to do it on the board. 1 test & final is your entire grade. HW assigned, collected, but does not count.
Okay teacher. He's very slow so you have to have a good attention span.
So sweet! Definitely recommend him if you have to take a chemistry. Drops the lowest test grade and for the final if it improves your grade he counts it as 40%, if it don't just 20%. Gives supplementary notes which are very helpful. If your having problems in this course the SI sessions are beneficial. Lectures can be boring, but its worth it!
Show up, pay attention, and you're good to go. 4 tests are the only grades, which is what I prefer. No homework ever
Dr. Jones has definitely been one of my favorite professors! Everything you need to know for tests are either in your lecture notes, or told to you in class. His lectures do feel long, but what chemistry class doesn't? He is a very sweet professor and tells you what to expect! be ready to put in good study time!
Easily one of the best professors I've had! All the information is in the notes and if it's not, he tells you in class so you can write it down. He can be kind of boring but he is super sweet and is always ready to answer any question you have!
The only down side with him is that he only puts in test grades and I don't like that. No opportunity for extra credit. I would recommend it if you really have to.
Loved this professor, he is extremely sweet and cares about making sure you understand the material. If you have a question or do not understand something, ask it! Barely any homework and the exams are easy as long as you practice what you learn before the test. The text book is not required unless you want to use it to study and do the homework.
This is from the perspective of someone taking a summer course. While I have infinite respect for him, and he's really fun, his tests are a beast to be reckoned with. He requires deep understanding of the topics, and his tests have questions make you choose out of a list of five things which are correct. Deeply confusing. Summer classers be warned.
He is older and has a dry sense of humor, but is entertaining sometimes. He is kind of slow, but I like that because I can keep up. There are 4 exams and he drops the lowest one. He sends out supplementary notes and study guides as well as holds problem sessions for when you're falling behind. Very reasonable. Just study! Would definitely recommend
So sweet and sometimes funny. Very boring lectures. Does what's best for students. We only have about 6 weeks left of class and still no hw or quiz. Only grades I've heard of are 4 tests + 1 final. Holds many problem sessions, no extra credit, flexible grading system, drops lowest test score, emails many notes. Wants you to succeed.
Doctor Jones is a great person but this is not an easy class, its all concept based which I struggled with since I am a math based person and excelled at 1203. I dropped out of nursing school because of this class. The tests are extremely detailed and cover a lot of content. Be ready to study but he is eager to help and loves his students.
Professor Jones is AMAZING!! He truly cares about his students and wants you to pass. Be sure to pay attention in class and to study outside of lecture time. Material can be hard but you can pass with an A if you study hard.
He's an amazing professor! If you go to the lectures and the problem sessions you'll do fine in the class. He will work with you until you fully understand any questions you have. Genuinely cares about his students. The tests aren't hard if you go over the the study guide and the practice tests before the real test.
He really cares about his students. He does his best to make sure you will do well. This class is for Nursing majors and he does his best to make sure that everything we do can be tied back into the major and used later. I even switched majors and he was very supportive.
Nice teacher but the class was extremely difficult for me. The notes were jumbled most of the semester and they test are very detailed. Cover a lot of content too with 2-3 open ended questions. Final was about 90 quesfions multiple choice. Get the book because it dumbs down the content from notes he gives.
Professor Jones really cares about his students and how they do in the class. The overall grade is based on 4 test grades and your final exam (thats it) so make sure you go over the study guides he sends out. If you skip class there is pretty much no way you will pass bc he goes over things not in textbook. Get the textbook bc you need it for 1204
4 tests + final is your whole grade. One test gets dropped. He's a cute little old man that drinks diet coke every day. His tests are 100% based off his notes. He makes me sleepy, but he still is a good professor. He likes to use his practice exam questions on his real exams. Have fun, pre-nursing majors.
No homework in the class, just test grades. Make sure you really study for the tests and go over the study guide and practice tests that he sends out because they are practically the same. Although lectures are extremely boring, hes a very sweet professor and is always willing to help.
He doesn't take attendance but if you miss class you will fall behind fast. He is old and knows what he's talking about but his lectures can be really boring. The only grades you have is tests but he drops the lowest test grade at the end. He gives practice tests out and a lot of the questions on them are on the tests. He is a good teacher.
Dr. Jones is a great teacher. Of course this class is difficult but if you are willing to work for it you will succeed. Although the material is very hard he prepares you with all the things that you need to succeed. If you don't study all through the semester you will NOT do well. But if you work super hard you will do great! He is such a cute man
He is a sweet man but personally his teaching style didnt work for me. This class makes 0 sense unless you took chem in h.s. I study my tail off and have a tutor just to barely get by in his class. Lectures are confusing, doesnt explain notes very well. Is only graded on exams. Drops lowest exam. Dread going into his classroom.
Our grade consisted of only 4 tests of which the lowest grade is dropped, and the final exam. Lectures are boring but useful. He does not use the textbook at all or take attendance. He is a sweet man and his lectures provide plenty of examples that will prepare you for test questions.
All you need to do to pass is pay attention during his lectures and study outside of class. Attendance is not mandatory but if you don't come to his lectures you will fall behind quickly. He knows what he is talking about and provides plenty of examples in class that help the material make sense and prepare you for the tests.
Class is optional, but beneficial. He always emails practice tests before each in class test. These practice tests are the most important thing to study. You final grade is composed of three test grades and one final exam. He does not post the grades anywhere. You have to calculate your own grade until final grades are posted.
Dr. Jones is a really sweet professor, he really cares about his students. He only has four tests and one final for all of your grades. Definitely go to study sessions and tutoring because they will help you in your tests. He sends you practice tests and study guides that are usually exactly what the tests look like.
he is an intelligent, humorous old man. he knows the class can get tough; he sends all of the notes through email including study guides and practice tests for every exam (he drops the lowest of 4 exams). you should still go to class. his lectures are helpful and he will always be willing to stop and answer a question. taking him next semester.
He's like your grandfather who always tries to make corny jokes at the dinner table and loves Diet Coke. Overall a sweet guy but the class is difficult if you do not self teach. Lectures are monotone and boring but he gives you practice exams and it's just like the test so you can pass with a B at least. drops the lowest exam.
Dr. Jones is the BEST! If you study and put in your work its really not that bad, don't let people scare you! always do the practice tests because they are practically the same, you do have to study alot, its not an easy A, but it is do able. go to problem sessions-they are helpful and study after each class! good luck pre-nursing majors :)
Dr. Jones is actually really caring. If you have any questions or concerns, definitely ask. Email, problem sessions, or even approaching him after class. I do appreciate that he never goes over a lesson too fast. I do recommend him. A little tip, problem sessions and tutoring can help to improve your grade.
This course is difficult. Your grade is based on 4 tests. You have to study, study, and study some more for those tests.
To pass this class you have to study and be able to teach yourself. Daniel is a great professor that really wants his students to succeed, he loves diet coke and Avogadro's number. He provides study sessions and practice tests, pay attention to these and they can really help you go far in the class.
A really solid teacher overall. He never assigns homework but only grades off of three tests and a final. The tests are relatively easy if you use his study guides, notes, and work through his sample tests. The textbook isn't required, but it definitely helped me understand the material. Attend class, or you'll miss a lot of important information.
Although a very nice man, you are only graded by 4 exams and your final so if you don't do well on your exams, that's it. He takes some questions straight from the sample test and during class he reads straight from the notes he emails you. If you have a short attention span you will struggle but just study ahead of time and you should be fine.
I don't know where to begin. This course made me cry every night and pull out every single strand of hair on my head. I have always loved and enjoyed chemistry, but this class made me rethink my major. Professor Jones is very caring and nice. However, his teaching style was not my favorite. The exams were difficult and the lectures DID NOT HELP.
if you go to class and actually study, you will be fine. Dr. Jones is super considerate and very caring to his students. great lectures. the class can get tough, but he gives you all the resources you need to succeed. only graded on 4 tests; drops the lowest. i learned so much from his class and would take him again if i could. love love love him!
He was an awesome professor! I enjoyed his class although I must say it one of the most difficult classes I've ever had. You are graded on 4 tests and the final. (He drops the lowest of the 4 exams.) You can do well in this class but you need to make sure to study a lot. If you just study the night before the exam I don't think you'll do so good.
Taking this class was the worst mistake of my life. If you want to murder your GPA, cry nightly, teach yourself EVERYTHING and stress constantly, this is the class for you! Jones is nice, but I'd rather rip out my fingernails than attend his boring lectures (that don't help). Don't buy the textbook. God help you if you have to take this class.
He is AWESOME! there are 4 tests and the exam. He changes exam weight based on if it helps your grade or not. He cares and wants everyone to pass. His lectures click with some people but not others. You either get him or you don't. Utilize your resources. Go to his problem session, private and group tutoring. You can do it if you work hard.
Dr. Jones is one of the kindest professors I have ever met. He really wants to prepare you in chemistry, especially in relation to nursing. Just make sure you pay attention and go to the practice sessions, and you will be fine. He's super funny and relaxed, and approachable.
Dr. Jones is a good professor, but you need to be sure to go to PAL sessions, Problem Sessions, or Tutoring otherwise u wont pass just by sitting in class. You must figure out a study method that works for you. Do the Practice tests, develop a study plan, go to tutoring early, and go to class! lecture heavy class w/ ur grade based on tests!
Dr. Jones is a great professor, just make sure to pay attention! All of his lectures are very relevant to the test material and he gives study guides for each test. There are only 4 test grades and he drops the lowest one, so you will need to study hard outside of class. He applies a lot of the material to nursing situations, which is very helpful!
Mr. Jones is a caring professor. Although his lectures can get pretty boring, it's still worthy to attend his lectures. He explains some of the material better in person. The textbook was a waste of money though, tbh. I didn't use it at all! But just attend his lectures, go over the sample tests and constantly review/study and you shall pass :))
Your final grade is only made up of tests. The tests are almost exactly like his practice tests and he never assigns homework. Don't buy the textbook, you will NEVER use it. GO TO TUTORING IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND HIS TEACHING METHOD!!! Don't wait until the day before to study. Overall he is a great professor and I'm taking him again next semester.
He's GREAT! He talks a little slow and takes his time, but he knows what he's talking about and will make things clear when you have questions. He's funny and witty which makes class more enjoyable. There's only 4 tests and the final exam, so make sure you do well in those. He drops the lowest test score, too. We did not use the text book.
Lectures can be dry but his problem sessions really help if you have specific questions. Reading the textbook in addition to the lecture notes helps a lot when it comes to grasping the information. He cares a lot about his students and doesn't set them up for failure. I definitely recommend using PAL sessions for further help and clarification.
Mr Jones is sweet and very helpful. I am online but he has weekly zoom calls and 2 weekly problem sessions for anyone with questions, not mandatory. Understands that life happens and will work around you. I am currently 3 months in and only have two grades imputed, tests. Tests are about 50 questions and you are given a study guide. Good professor
Dr. Jones is one of the nicest professors that I have ever had. Such a sweet and caring man. Really cares about his students and hosts problem sessions twice a week. There was not a textbook required for this class.
Professor Jones has to be the most patient professor i had this semester. Very caring and kind. He hosts two problem sessions every week and will work out the problems and even if you can't attend he posts the videos later, which is very helpful if you can't attend. But even though he talks slow he is a very nice person.
He is so so nice! Grade from class only comes from the tests you take. But, use the study guides and the tests are very similar. I took the class in 2019.
The sweetest man you will ever meet. Class is made up of 4 tests and a final. He's very open and everything is open book. DO the hw or you won't understand the math portion. His lectures are helpful and he's always open to questions. Quick at emailing back. Took for orgo chem and almost everyone got a high A. Do the work and it's an easy A!
This man is so sweet. I was so sad when i found out he retired. He was amazing at explaining chem. However, you have to do good on the tests because that's all that your final grade consists of. If you go to lectures and problem sessions you'll be golden
