Excellent teacher!!!

He is a very interesting guy, usually prounces" Huh"in the class. Daniel Judge is a absolutely teacher ever since I saw. Easy to get A you know what I say, if you do not take the grade A in his class, you are a very stupid guy.

D. Judge's Calc II was worth it. Learned and still got an A. You need to put a little work into the class but probably far less than most Calc II Teachers. Must take, plus he's rather funny too. Well at least his subtle yet bleak political quips.

the problem is that hes tooo easy, i put 0 effort in those classes and still came out with Bs somehow. He teaches the easiest parts of the material and lets you use HW as a result, cheating is rampant in his classes. You probably will end up with a very good grade if you take his class.

judge is a ok teacher but the question is do you really learn in that class? he lets you use hw and notes on his tests. 30 percent of his tests are also take home. e-z A but do you actually learn?

Every math teacher at ELAC should sit in one of Judges classes and learn from him, how to lecture Math. He does it the way it should be done. And I see nothing wrong with him allowing you to use HW for tests. He doesnt use the same questions...so you still have to know how to work the problems out

Easy, No Way! This is the second time I won the lottery to get into his stats class. The first time I failed his class! The reason people sign up for him is becasue he is fair in his grading. He doesn't belittle or intimidate you, and will come in on Saturdays to tutor you. FREE of charge.

I started with this teacher from math 105(yes basic math) and ive stuck with him throughout every class he has taught up too Calculas 3, Linear Algebra. This teacher rocks and is one of the best teachers out there. You Will Learn and you will understand the material with this teacher.

Very young and cooool teacher. Best math teacher I've ever had. He explains very well and won't continue untill you've understood the problem. Anyone who talks bad about him maybe just had a bad experience. Ignore it all.

Let me tell you, the way he teaches is great! hey if you dont understand, just ask him, he is so nice and helpful. He'll even take time out of class to help you. He spends most of his day at the math lab. If you go there, that's were he'll be. Take his class. Talk to him about his music and you'll surely get on his good side!

this guy explains alot (which can be good for some) - but i mean everything (down to the smallest detail). It can be good, but at the same time it gets real boring really quick (having to see the obvious). If you are struggling with math (can't understand) he can be good for you, but if you learn quicker he isn't so good.

this guy is very detailed in his lectures. unfortunately this cuts down on the progress and we're behind every other math 262 class this semester. MOVE FASTER PLEASE!!!... and just for kicks... this guys isn't hot... AT ALL!!!

So far so good! He is quite prepared and the class is not stressful at all. He makes it seem as if it was a pre-algebra class. He teaches theory very clearly, but yet the exams are quite doable for now. The key is doing all the homework and understanding the algebra involved. And he is not too bad looking!

i took this class because of the professor's popularity. to be honest, he is very clear in giving lecture, unfortunatelly, this professor compresses 10 champer sections in only two pages...(that's too much!!!) and he makes it more difficult for you to "diggest" all the materal+he is not that fexible at giving extra credit...he is not constant

Great Professor for stats, especially if your not good at math, and he will break it down for you ... just don't miss a session, because if you do you will get far behind.

Actually, he is a good teacher I have even had. He explains the subjects very clearly. I highly recommend you take his class if you want to learn something.

I have never gotten an A I deserved in math until Judge.He has a unique way of teaching that helps one understand. The best math teacher I have had. He gives x-tra credit too.

Just do the TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE. His video taped lectures are very helpful. However, there are a few glitches here and there, so they are not always readily available.

Mr Judge is good Math Instructor. He has been very helpful. I don't understand the negative comments, but I do know that a few math instructors are jealous of his popularity. Especially the small, fat bald one that used to run the tutoring lab. Maybe they have resorted to writing bad reviews? I highly recommend Mr. Judge. Judge for yourself!

This teacher is awesome! He explains things different than the book, but they are understandable... He collects homework with the tests, it gives you time to do your homework. I highly recomend taking this professor.

I took his saturday morning statistics class. He actually does his job and teachers, but sometimes lectures can get boring.He does not let you out early. There are 5 tests and 1 final.You can drop ONE lowest test. Attendance is a need if you want to learn. Homework is mandatory and not a lot. He is very understanding. I had to earn my A. great prof

keeps reminding you to look at your notes and always write the formulas down! This help alot. Gives you hope to keep going and overcome your obstacles!Good man!

He's a good teacher overall. He tries his best to help everyone by setting up resources that anyone can use, like recording his lectures and putting them online. He does stray away from the subject at hand which is math, and starts talking about his trials and tribulations. He's kind of a know it all but as I said, he's a good professor over all.

He talks about different things besides math. Attendance is not mandatory. He is pretty nice, too into himself. If you wanna learn go to class he knows his stuff. If you already know the material better. Just take the tests and you will pass.

Hey may be a little into himself as the last poster said but like someone else said, for Math go to JUDGE!!! He is the best and maybe that is why he is a lil into himself. Took stats class with him PROS: Goes very slow so you understand well. Does not mind repeating if you ask. Interested in his craft and knowledgable in world subjects. CONS: A bit cocky, expects tasks from you but then he does not pull thru like grading tests becuase he did not have time! Strict but youll earn if u want to pass.

Mr Judge is a really good math professor. some one i can actually understand. those who say hes class is a waste a time are wrong. if you really pay attention you will get a passing grade. i would take him again.

Professor Judge gives you all the resources needed to help you through the course. The online lectures and practice test reinforces his class lectures.

Took him in the winter for math 115 got an A, teaches in a simple and effective way, breaks everything, but i mean everything down, take him to make sure you will succeed in the upcoming math classes

Good Teaching Methods

Very clear on his lectures and easy to approach if you have questions. He gives a lot of HW but it really help you to understand. Tests are 100% taken from HW and you the final is based from the tests. He does a lot to help you pass the class...I really recommend this professor

Professor Judge is an okay professor. His class is easy but he is very arrogant and talks about his daughter way too much. Gets off topic a lot. I wouldn't take him again. Failed the class and I studied hard for the final and still gave me an F. What was the point of taking the final.

He stuffs math into every free minute and continues on from 5-20 mins past the end of class. Good thing that he wants us to know so much but really overwhelming. A lot of hw, which is helpful for the tests, but he doesn't go over any of it which was my biggest problem. I devote so much time to hw and I don't even get to know if I do it right.

If you do the hwk you'll be fine, professor still has his passion to teach & extremely beyond helpful! Yes he gives a lot of hwk but it's worth it when test time comes around, I totally recommend. Excellent teacher . Understood everything and if i didnt he always knew how to explain it so that i understood it. Prof Judge is great teacher. He teaches well and the volume of his assignments are reasonable. If you need help, he is always there to assist you. I regret not doing more practice and more careful on the tests as most of my mistakes were very silly ones. Only attendance on test days is mandatory. Pretty chill guy.

He's very down to earth. How he teaches is really easy to understand. His worksheets are like the tests, so as long as you study that, you should be able to pass. If you get the answer wrong but did the formula right, he gives you points. He's very funny and he likes to talk. Great teacher, want him for all my math classes.

I had fun in this class, was pretty easy if you did your homework and took good notes. I got sick during finals and passed with a B. I wish I would have studied because I could have gotten an A. If you take this teacher count your blessings. He's AWESOME

Great professor! Took him for winter 2015 and my love for math increased. He's simple, and everything he teaches is pretty accurate to what he tests on. Don't take him if you expect your professors to care about your life because you'll be disappointed, he doesn't show favoritism which is a must on a professor!

While Judge teaches well, he missed class all the time. Not only that but there were days when he didn't even have the motivation to teach and would just write out a "warm up" problem on the board and let the class work on it while he just sat there on his phone. Very disappointing especially because it's not fair for the students.

Professor Jude was the BEST professor when I attended ELAC! Aside from his lectures being crystal clear, he is very knowledgeable in his teachings. Although I dont attend ELAC anymore, he sure did help me understand math and correlate it with my nursing career. If youre lazy dont take him, you work for your grade in all his courses!

He is seriously straightforward, if you fail it is only because of your own mistakes. It is very possible to receive an A if you do your homework and study. His classes are very informative and enjoyable. Make the most of class time because it can be fairly difficult to catch him in his office.

If your major is stem related and you will need to take many math classes, then please do your self a favor and never take him. Worst math professor at ELAC. Talks about his life for most of the class time and didn't even covered half of the chapters for my stats class. On the other hand, if you are not STEM major, then go for it, easy A.

Escalante was one of his instructors when he attended school here in EAST LA COLLEGE. He is truthful about his craft. He does mix metaphors while teaching, and as long as he stays away from my girl friend he's ok.

Judge is one of the best math teachers! Half the time he was explaining stuff I didn't even know I was learning! Makes everything so simple to understand! Although he does tend to get off track & he LOVES surveys lol drops the lowest test score & the score from your final is counted towards the test he dropped. Super easy! & definitely recommend!

Professor Judge is one of the best and most knowledgeable math. teachers. His class is extremely interesting. His lectures are clear. U will get a wonderful feedback if u ask him a question. Statistics is itself is hard, but professor Judge makes it easier. Try to get a tutor's help. If u study and work hard u will get an A. Just take his class.

It's true that Judge makes math look easy however, this isn't an easy A type of class. You have to earn your grade. Do the hw and the tests wont seem so hard. A lot of people think he's an easy professor to get an A with truth is he's not what is true is that the way he teaches us so understandable it sometimes was like ok I get it move along while other times was what just happened, do all the homework review for all tests and you will be fine he's a nice professor and cares about his students.

I have always had a hard time learning math in general due to specific teachers from highschool and even professors in college due to their low level of clarity. Judge has made math very fun for me, especially the 5 weeks course during winter break. It was fast, but he was very helpful especially his youtube videos.I highly recommend you take Judge

Professor Judge really explains the concept behind the lectures. He makes math fun and easy. I am not good at math, but he made feel like I can do it. He believes in his students and motivates them. We had 4 tests and 1 final. I would take him again because he thorough with his math.

This is my third semester in college, and he is by far the best Professor i've come across. Goes above and beyond by posting step by step Youtube videos of his lectures, and homework assignments so you're not left confused about what you've just learned. Doesn't rush through topics, and makes sure you understand every step. Definitely take him.

Mr. Judge is by far the best math professor I've taken, he really takes the time to explain every little detail to help the students understand the material. He tends to get off topic for the first 10 min of class so its not too boring. Overall awesome professor. Definitely recommend him.

Professor Judge is an amazing teacher. Besides his lectures in class he has youtube videos to help you understand the homework. He doesn't give much book homework but he does assign worksheets from his site.

Judge's teaching style is thorough and patient. He has free resources for students. He assigns his own worksheets and has online videos for each worksheet. They are very helpful to review for his exams. There are 4 exams and his final is comprehensive. He made math easy and math is not my forte. The key is to study everyday not at the last minute.

Judge is a fine math instructor who knows how to teach the material clear and well. The only problem anyone who has had his class will probably point out is his habit of digressing rather frequently during lecture. His exams are not very difficult and are definitely doable so long as you do the homework, the examples from the books, and proofs.

I took professor Judge for Math 115 in the winter, math is always a hard subject but professor Judge makes it easy, he always explains you really good, and if you don't understand something, he is there to help you. Up to now, he seems to be the best Math teacher in Elac that he really cares for understanding materials, so he explain everything clearly. There is no amazing test questions if you do homework. There are 4 tests and 1 final, and he also offer for extra credit. Take him to understand material to go a higher level class, not only pass one class.

Professor Judge is one of coolest math teachers around campus. I came in, in need to pass a class because I was struggling in Math and this was the first math that I actually received an A from. His class is not that hard if you put enough effort to his homework and get at least an A or B on his exams. 4 Exams and 1 Finals!

Do the homework/textbook that Professor Judge assigns to you and you will do superb on the 4 exams along with the final. I took Mr. Judges class after being out of school for 12 years and he made it so easy. I think even the Students who struggle with math can pass this class. I've never been good at math and was afraid to take a math class, but professor Judge was recommended to me and boy am I glad I took his class. Only downfall was, that it was a winter class, so fast paced and lots of hw. But he takes his time explaining each concept to make it easy to understand, has hw solutions on YouTube and he's hilarious!

Took Professor Judge online for the fall and he was great! Lectures were live on YouTube and you can type questions in the live chatbox. He does make quite a lot of careless mistakes, but overall he explains the topic very clear. There was quite a lot of homework, but it's totally manageable if you don't do them last minute. Would take him again!

He was a great teacher. I took his one month winter course. But his teaching was great, lectures were great. I am not a fan of online attending classes especially early in the morning, but his youtube videos were so easy to follow. His study guides are phenomenal, it's the exact questions on the test. He made statistics great, easy, and fun.

His Video lectures make math so much more understanding, and comprehensive. The fact that you can go back to the lectures pause them, over again is awesome. There's no reason why you shouldn't get a good grade with him. He's caring about his student's learning. Other math professors should learn how to teach, like professor Judge.

He records his lectures, and only need to worry about 3 exams and homework is due on the day of the exams.If you miss one lecture you will fall behind just attend the class. If you ask him for help he is more willing to help. His study guides are harder than the actual exam.Whatever you see in the study guide it will be very similar to the exam.

Professor Judge is by far the best professor I ever had while attending college. He does assign a lot of homework, but it is worth doing since homework is graded. He also assigns study guides, which is very similar to the test, so if you do the study guide properly, the test should be easy as well.

He is the best statistic professor to explain step by step. What he shows in class and gives us for homework will be on the test. Make sure you do it. You can always go to his office during office hours and ask for help he will help you and be patient.

Study guides are nearly identical to exams. Won't give answers to the study guides tho so study ahead of time. Most of what you do in this class is using the TI. You WON'T pass without one. He's aware that students struggle and fear math but goes slowly, bit by bit, for everyone to understand; he truly wants his students to succeed & understand. There's a lot of HW, but you get 2-3 weeks to finish and submit on exam days. Make sure to appreciate him 'cause he offers a lot of resources.

3rd time taking Stats and compared to my 2 other past professors he made everything very clear. His homework is due throughout periods which makes you stay on track. The grade is on me slacking but if you have trouble with math I suggest you take his class since you can go back to the lectures which he records and post.

Not only is he great at teaching he also has an extremely organized website including recorded lecture videos along with detailed notes explaining the algorithms. Each assignment includes an extra credit which pushes your grade (if you like extra credit assignments).

Professor Daniel Judge is great. There were 4 exams, 1 final, and like 4-5 homeworks. He drops the lowest test score, and homework was due the day of the exam. He uploads study guides before the exams, and the study guides were exactly like the exams, which really helps you study. Will be taking him again for future math classes.
