good teacher. highly recommend.
He is AWESOME!!! Always helps those who ask for it, wants to make sure his students know the material. Fast grader, Good tests. Witty/off sense of humour...made me not want to ditch class all the time like some teachers do.
Dan Kleinfelter is by far the best mathematics professor i have ever had. He makes an otherwise difficult class easier because he really cares whether you understand the material. He is always willing to spend extra time with you explaining the lesson. He is a funny guy, great teacher and not bad to look at either. ;)really recommend
An Intelligent man and a good teacher
Professor Kleinfelter definitely tries to break everything down as much as possible. He didn't assign my class too much homework, he just picked problems he thought would highlight the section. His tests and grading are very fair. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs to take math.

Mr. Kleinfelter was preofessional and somewhat helpful. I thought he was cute and I sort of developed a small crush on him. Of course I didn't let him know it though.
He is very helpful and nice. His Calc. 1B class is extremely difficult, even if you repeat the homework 5 times and can do it in you sleep, you will still be lucky to pass the exams. I go into the tests without ever seeing questions like the ones he's asking, they are a lot harder than any homework problems. I've never seen a harder math class. GL.
Class Looks kind of easy, he doesn't go into much detail, so you think tests are going to be as in class discussions, but when it comes to taking the tests...they have nothing to do w/hwk (hwk is very easy compared to tests). Very piki @ grading. Tricky guy.
Helpful, always answers questions. Tough tests tho - take Hagopian instead!
Mr. Kleinfelter is one of the best teachers that I have ever had and one of the most approachable. I am not a very good math student but he is a great teacher. He has genuine concern for his students and wants everyone to do well. He will spend as much time needed with his students until they understand what needs to be learned.
Dan is a very helpful teacher and his grading is very fair. He makes time for students to ask questions and he will go over them as many times as needed. I only got a "C" in his class, but that wasn't due to his teaching abilities. He likes to teach and is a pleaseant individual.
Dan's the man.
Homework is easy on the internet. The tests are really hard and some of the material on the tests aren't even from the homework. He is very tricky. Seems really nice but our whole class asked for a study guide for the test and he refused. Most of the class is failing. NOT a very good teacher.
All homework is via internet, little of which relates directly to material covered in class, so is useless, provides no direct feedback, and barely gives necessary practice to understand lessons. Tests are extremely difficult, and rarely relate to homework. Professor won't control disruptive students, but will repeat lessons in class as necessary.
Kleinfelter is a good professor, although at times it seems that the questions on tests are more difficult in comparison to HW ?'s; he does adjust grades accordingly when most of class does poorly. He can go a bit fast at times but is extremely helpful when asked questions either in class or privately. A lot of work, but what Calculus class isn’t!!
nice teacher....I like him
He is kinda cute. I wish he is single.
Good professor, but, in this class he taught a little too fast. The exams were difficult, even with considerable preparation and review, so make sure you complete all of the HW in order to keep up. He does curve the grades on exams depending on the performance of the class. He is always happy to help during his office hours. He?s a nice teacher.
BEST MATH PROFESSOR IVE EVER HAD. He is very helpful and patient!! ive taken him twice and hopefully will take my next math class with him if possiable. TAKE HIS CLASS!! HE'S AWSOME!!
If you are fresh out of high school this class will be a breeze. If you are taking math a little bit later this prof has EXTREME amount of patience to explain things. Great teacher. He also teaches other math classes so you can take him again.
He is definitely not an easy teacher. In my opinion he goes way to fast. I had a really time picking up everything. I really think his test are just ridiculous. I mean he knows that most of the students struggle on word problems, so on everyone of his tests there was mostly word problems so everyone failed. The final was nothing compared to his t
he is not easy. don't take him if you cant follow fast lectures. he does not care about passing students, he is very 'by the book' and wont flex. test's are hard, homework online is hard... but over all i guess i learned something!
Really patient instructor. If you pay attention and try hard you'll do ok. Lots of fractions on tests & no calculators allowed, though.
mr.k is a fraction addict, he is extremely helpful and really wants you to know the formulas to figure out the equations.
tests are way to hard most of the class gets low test scores
Will Fail you. DO NOT take his class. His tests are tricky. Does not cover material well. skips steps when showing solutions. Long class never out on time. Lots of fractions and sudden tests.
Worst teacher ever. The test are way different and harder then the homework. He doesnt explain anything and his lectures are really fast.
Although I passed with an A I do not recommend Kleinfelter. He was just a bore and on quite a few occasions I fell asleep due to boredom. His lectures do not cover what he has previously taught.
Everyone, please do not take kleinfelter. You will fail, or drop the class. he teaches way to fast, when you try asking for help it looks like he gets an attitude. He make rude remarks on your papers like you need to work on your neatness etc. He doesnt' explain very well. out of all the 40 students only 9 to 13 or left.
His teaching methods might seem overwhelming, however, he only goes as fast as the class. He'll ask for any questions and if no one responds then he'll immediately jump onto the next section. He covers at least 3 sections a day, and his tests and quizzes are fairly challenging. If you STUDY PROPERLY and DO YOUR HOMEWORK, then you should be fine.
Probably the worst teacher ive ever had. Teaches very fast. Messes up all the time. Tests do not match up with homework. Tests are very difficult. Avoid at all costs. Class started with about 45 students. Now it is down to about 20 and half of those student are failing. DO NOT TAKE!!
Ok we started off with 40+ students in the class and were left with 9. I got a good grade but I'm really good at math and took top level math in high school. His tests are almost impossible to study for--lots of random "think out of the box" questions. No math teacher is really that great. He was very helpful though. Fair amount of homework.
Hes a jerk. Poor teacher, he just reviews random problems and skips threw material. tests are set up to be tricky. Most everyone failed or dropped the class.
Even though I have an average understanding in math, I wouldn't recommend Kleinfelter. Reasons being is that he teaches to fast and he doesn't review the material for the tests. It's best to read the text book and do the homework ahead of time. The class started off around 50 students, now down to 9 students. I dropped the class without a grade.
He is a useless professor, and I do not recommend his class. He is very unclear and does NOT prepare you for the tests he writes. I dropped the class , and a friend of mine who stayed said he was down to 12 remaining of the original 45.
Hes sux! Teach to fast and NEVER GO OVER bf test. Too hard and too many questions for the test in just ONE HOUR! We came up with around 37 students and only 14 left! Never take his class at any time!
Great Professor! If you try, there is no way you could fail his class. Explains things very well and he is super nice!
really explains eveything well. he goes over any questions that any student asks until there is no more questions from anybody. He reviews before every test. overall he is very helpfull. I reccomend him.
I would not recommend this teacher. He does not go over the homework or the test questions, the test questions do NOT match up with any of the homework. He SUCKS. He messes up a ton in class and goes way too fast during lectures. Never take this teacher, you WILL fail.
In my opinion, his methods of lecturing don't work well learning math. He skims through the book and writes a few questions on the board, jumps over to the next section. He then assigns 3 sections twice a week! I worked ahead of time, read the textbook. However, he hands out more work that is "sudden" and it was due on the exam date Not recommended
AVOID HIS ONLINE CLASS AT ALL COSTS!!! I did great all semester on his homework but the tests I failed every time.... The material was not what we had gone over and often included problems from future chapters we had not yet gone over. From what I hear though he is VERY helpful in a classroom setting.
When the class would ask him to be more clear on his lectures, he would be clear on the topic, but he would get confusing once again, and again. I'm currently in his class, and I have a D, since the homework is completed but the quizzes and the test would bring me down, A LOT. If you were thinking of taking it online with him, Do NOT. I Hope I PASS
Fantastic Professor! If you want to learn and understand math take him! If you want an easy class, take someone else! I usually have all easy A's but for his class I busted my rear all semester and still ended up with a B, however I learned more about mathematics from him than any other professor I've had! Extremely helpful with questions and cute!
Professor Kleinfelter is a good teacher. I agree, his tests are difficult but he covers everything that's on them. He always asks if anyone has questions, if no one answers then he moves one. Yes it is difficult course so you got to read ahead nit's college people get used to it.
His test are hard word problems and you really have to study to pass. Take him if you like word problems.
Homework is easy, classwork is easy, tests are hard with questions you don't see on the classwork and homework... He's helpful when needed and is an overall good teacher. I would take his class again and recommend it for others.
He is a teacher that tries very hard to be the best teacher. That is not bad at all, he treats everyone the same. He is not an easy teacher of you want a good grade you need a lot of time to study by your own. Texts???? HARD!!!, sometimes tO long to finish or he puts something we haven't see. At the end of the test the last question is hard.
I don't reccomend that anybody take Professor Kleinfelter for a math course. He does not really teach, or review any math problems for homework, quizzes, and exams. Most of his students either dropped or end up failing his classes.
Prof K is a tough but fair teacher. Tough class, but if you are moving on in math and need later math classes, you will know your stuff with him. Tests are tough. You need to study for this clas,s and ask lots of questions, do not expect to breeze thru without studying! I learned a lot from him.
Professor Kleinfelter is a fantastic teacher and in my opinion the best ever. However, he is not the easiest but he does prepare you for the next class if you are going on in mathematics and he will answer whatever questions you have so always ask if you are stuck on something or risk not understanding the concept. Also he is kind of cute :-)
Integral Calculus concepts aren't very hard, but this teacher goes out of his way to make it as difficult as possible. Tests are in riddle form and very difficult, even for an A+ math student like myself. He doesn't curve tests or empathize with the students at all. Teaching method is mediocre at best. Avoid.
KLEINFELTER is one of the most difficult math professors I've taken. He does NOT help you prepare for exams, and will not specify what types of problems he will test you on. He is very vague at times, and it felt like he couldn't care less if you passed his class or not. Only take as last resort.
he teachs pretty clear but really there is almost nothing to prepare you for the test the reviewing the hw and cw doesnt help and the way he words his questions are confusing math comes easy to me but this class is extremely hard i will never take his class again it honestly seems like he doesnt care if u pass or fail
I took this class as an 8 week summer course so the class moved fast. The professor spend an hour every class period helping the students who had questions. The material can be difficult, but his tests and homework are not particularly hard. I enjoyed this class and he was very helpful to the slow people in this class, and there were a lot!
Took him for a summer course it was fast pace homework was easy for the most part the test are really tricky if math isn't your strength most are word problems that can easily cause you to make a mistake it seems like he doesn't care though but if you plan on taking him read the sections before you show up to class and learn the overall math vocab
I do not recommend this professor. He is not helpful and makes math hard to understand.
This teacher gives very simple homework/classwork but he's tests are ridiculous! I personally took calculus in high school and had an easier time comprehending the material than with this teacher. Most of the people that passed his class already took it and failed their first time. NOT recommended!
This Teacher does not care about your career and success at all!!! His tests are too hard and in class work has nothing to do with the tests he gives. After failing me, i almost didn't have the motivation to return to College. TAKE ANOTHER TEACHER BECAUSE YOU WILL REGRET THIS GUY!!!!! CAUTION!
He is a very nice guy but he does not prepare you for his tests, which are worth 60% of the overall grade. I had a solid A from homework and quizzes going into the first exam. The test was so far beyond what we worked on in class, homework, or quizzes. I knew his rep going into the class and it's all true. Don't do it.
Want to pass? Want at least a CHANCE at an A? THEN AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Have not met anyone who has passed this class, super ridiculous.
This was one of the most difficult classes I ever took, but Professor Kleinfelter was the only reason I was able to understand algebra and continue on to the next level. He was always available when I needed help, which was often. I highly recommend him for anyone who really wants to learn. He DOES care about his students.
Nice guy But the worst teacher I have ever had! He doesn't show you how to do any of the work when he teaches. He skips steps and does easier problems on examples than what show up on the homework or tests! I learned more reading myself then what he taught me! Seriously if you aren't already good at math DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! Horrible teacher:(
His class was AWESOME. He posted every lecture to blackboard which made it very easy to follow the class. He answered every question thoroughly and clearly, he also answered emails very quickly. He is a very good teacher and he seems to care for the success of his students. I would take him again in a heartbeat.
Did not like this professor, his test didn't match his lectures, he didn't answer questions and acted like you were stupid if you didn't understand something.
He is not a very good teacher at all. I just didn't like the way he taught intermediate algebra. I took algebra 2 in H.S but this class felt very different. He gave way too many word problems. I found him to be very boring and bland. No one got a good grade. Avoid him if you can.
I just don't think he had his students' interest in mind. Lecture didn't match the tests at all. Strict about stupid things. Monotone. Hesitantly answered questions. Not helpful at all. AVOID!
Not helpful, or clear. I was one of 3 people who received higher than a "C" in this class!!! And I am naturally good at math... I am a math tutor at the college for heaven's sake! and I couldn't even get an "A". Good teacher if you already know math, otherwise AVOID!
HORRIBLE. The teacher is an ok person, but the way he teaches. He rushes through things, I feel as if he gives me sass when I ask him a question. It seems like he looks down on me and doesn't care about my grade. I have to email him to get it, and he gives me an estimate. There are so many thing I do not like(EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TESTS). DO NOT TAKE
This professor seems to be a nice guy but seriously rushes through everything as fast as he possibly can and has little or no patience for questions. He does not seem to care if you pass or fail. Our class started with 38 students and ended with 12. I imaging half of the twelve passed. The only reason I passed was working very hard on my own.
First year back in school after 7-years. He's a nice guy, he rushes thru examples. Whispers to himself the steps NOT the students. I agree, examples were too easy compared to classwork/test. Did not match up to textbook or online homework. Barely passed.
Was upset that there were 0 review days before tests, the material on the tests rarely if ever matched the material covered in class
be prepared for much harder questions on test than what is done in lab, homework, or quizzes. the homework, lab assignments, and quizzes will not prepare you for the difficulties of his exams. best thing to do is make harder problems for yourself when studying. the books questions are to easy and you wont be ready for the written exams. beware.
Kleinfelter is an okay professor. His explanations of concepts are fair, but he goes through them really hasty. If you don't understand a certain problem, you better ask questions until you do understand before he moves on, for good. His exams are extremely tough, and I like math... you have to understand concepts proficiently to do good.
Good teacher but you really really have to focus and commit especially is you don't like math! Go to all lectures and lab and ask a bunch of questions!
He is the cutest thing ever! He is so nice and helpful, he has such a welcoming attitude and warm heart. He respects students and is very clear. If you don't understand something he doesn't make you feel stupid he explains and is very understanding. All the work is online on MyMathLab. I would take him again. He has my respect.
He is so nice and helpful, he has such a welcoming attitude and warm heart. He respects students and is very clear. If you don't understand something he doesn't make you feel stupid he explains and is very understanding. All the work is online on MyMathLab. I would take him again. He has my respect. He's cute (:
Very quiet professor, seemed as if he was intimidated by the large class. Goes over material too quick, would speak into the board not the class. Used my math lab examples to get help, expect tough tests and lots of homework.
He respects students. His lecture is clear. I like him!
Nice guy but goes WAY too fast, he assumes a lot, skips steps when showing examples, not always clear. You have to speak up and ask! LOTS of homework, labs, quizzes. AT LEAST 15-20 hours of homework outside of class. If you struggle in this subject like I did, it will take you even longer! TESTS ARE TOUGH and he doesn't do ANY review beforehand.
If you're looking for an easy A, then take another class. Kleinfelter is a great professor but just know he does everything by the book. Entire course is laid out in the syllabus. No extra credit. Very quick email response. Willing to help IF you speak up. Don't miss the lectures! Labs can be done at home. Taking MATH040 with him this semester.
I think Daniel Kleinfelter is a very nice person and helpful when you need him. Though, when he teaches he tends to go over material a little fast for me. (I need to know every little step when I the material.) He assumes everyone understands the work and moves on unless you speak up. He also gives a lot of homework so be prepared.
Pretty easy math teacher. I'm really bad at math but I understand his lectures.
Very fast paced. Does not keep labs open long enough to finish. Not an easy grader and skips a lot of steps when explaining a problem.
I found the ONLY way to understand was to ask questions. By the end of the semester, half of the class dropped out. I even went to office hours for help. Even then I got bad grades on tests. He saw I was really trying despite my test scores. Show that you are trying and care then he might round up your grade in the class like he did for me
This class was ridiculous. The worst math professor I've had. When he lectures sometimes it seems like he doesn't even know what he's talking about. We would have a break in between the lecture and like half the class would just leave because they were just over it. He's a nice guy but after taking his class I warned everyone about him.
Don't take him... he seems easy at first but then gives you a test on things on it that he didn't teach in class. His teaching is very unclear and difficult to understand. Do yourself a favor and find a different teacher
I took Calc ll with this professor and his method of teaching was not the best for me (and 3/4 of the class who either dropped or failed). I would recommend this professor if you are retaking the class or if you are the ideal student and commit to study before coming to class.
He is a terrrrrrible teacher. He messes up on the examples he gives in class, and you would never know he messed up unless someone caught his mistake. He often shows examples of how to do problems on a calculator he restricts during the tests, and also shows how to do them on excell, which you also may not use during the test. TERRIBLE.
LOVED this professor. I'm terrified of math and I'm horrible at it but he really made it understandable, and I actually got better at it. If math isn't your thing, TAKE THIS CLASS.
He doesn't offer extra credit. You CAN'T use calculator for the tests and Exams. His lecture are really bad he doesn't use PowerPoint or the white board to write. He uses some kind note pad template for His lectures.
The man is chill and all, but he is just terrible at teaching. I dropped the class mid semester because i just couldn't handle that class. Too much stress and he made the material on the test way different than anything we ever done. I recommend taking another teacher.
Aren't allowed to use calculators on tests, which really improved my math skills. If you show up to class, take notes and ask questions you'll pass. Attendance isn't mandatory, I did all my labs from home. I had to work for it, it wasn't easy, but I'm proud to say I earned an A.
He doesn't want students to learn Stats. I just left the class after a test was given, along with about 10 others. We are so frustrated and angry that his tests look almost nothing like what we work on in class or on MyMathlab. He is just there for a paycheck and brags about how only 25% pass his class. Run away; shame on him as a professor.
Extremely hard, unless you already know math. Test is completely different than any homework, quiz, and things we have done in class.
Honestly he is not a bad teacher, I believe he does teach the material in a well manner, the only thing that's hard are his test. The test he gives out are nothing compared to what he teaches or what he gives on our homework/quizzes, plus he is a tough grader on test. Would not recommend him for someone who struggles with math.
Will drop you from class if you miss 4+ days. We're two weeks from finals and the majority of his class has a grade underneath 60%. Would not recommend.
Goes through material rather quickly, but always willing answer questions and clarify if you need it. Make sure to stay on top of the homework until you really understand the material. His tests check to make sure you really understand the material, not that you can just regurgitate homework answers.
If you're looking for an easy A, stay away of this class. The tests are the hardest part in that class and worth almost the half (or more) of your grade. The lecture notes are organize and he posts them online. He is nice and answers to all your questions, but the questions on the tests don't match the homework or quizes he gave us.
He doesnt use the book, you cant talk to him because he will ignore you without you knowing his helper is rude and not to mention he rushes through math should not be rushed. Dont take him if you want to fail or be stressed
Uggg, plz listen, im not here to bash on someone cuz i had a rough semester or anything like that. for ur own good, i tryna save u, if ur not a legend at math, or good at teaching urself everything, this class will be a nightmare. dont get me wrong, ppl pass lol, but not many, if u know ur gonna dedicate consistent time, ur ok, otherwise DONT DO IT
He doesn't teach well, he expects you to know the multiplication table when he doesn't know it himself. He doesn't elaborate on questions, even if more than three student has the same question. His section wuizes are very heavy while the final doesn't weigh nearly anything. My suggestion if you have a different professor as an option, I say do it.
Around 40 students were a part of the class in the beginning. Around 8 students were present during the final for the class, and many of those 8 students didn't pass. When less than 20% of students pass your class, there is a problem. During one of his exams, nobody finished in the allowed time. The material isn't hard, but his teaching is bad.
I feel like he's projecting personal issues onto people, it's not direct but just in his air of behavior. He also acts like you're an idiot for not understanding something.
He's a very nice guy and a pretty good teacher. His tests are brutally difficult and are very dissimilar from the homework and classwork. Tests are weighted 60% and the final is worth 20% so doing all the homework and classwork cannot keep your grade afloat if you do poorly on the tests. Should probably avoid if you struggle with math.
He is a nice guy and all, but his teaching style is more lecture and less actual teaching. I usually am very good at math but every day i just got hopelessly lost. When i thought i understood something he would apply it in a way that made no sense. Like how am i supposed to know about bending pipes or chemicals? I'm a psych major! Stick to math!
Avoid at all costs, this teacher is the WORST I have ever had in my life. He's not bad at teaching what the class is, just that his tests are quite literally impossible because you have no idea what's actually going to be on the test. The only way you can pass his class is by memorizing the entire book. Also he will not help YOU at all, only class.
Professor Kleinfelter does not care about his students and their success in the course. His exams are nothing like what he teaches during lecture and are extremely hard. He does not care if you drop his class or if your struggling he is very stubborn and wont take any advice on how to make the course easier for his students to understand. DONT TAKE
Professor Kleinfelter is an awesome teacher, the guy is brilliant with mathematics! He posts the class notes daily so it's a big help if you didn't understand it in class the first time. Exams, and the final are weighted to roughly 80% of your final grade so acing those is a must! Overall he's a great teacher who knows his stuff! Study hard!!!
I really enjoyed his class! Great math professor. I learned a lot more in his class than I ever did in high school!
Nice professor and helps the students sometimes but would not take him again. His homework and classwork are fairly straightforward but the tests are not related to them at all!!! The tests are just something different entirely and if you fail them then your grade is bound to be bad. Does not use canvas so ask him to keep track of your grade.
Great teacher straight to the point. Assigns HW from the book. However, his test may be a bit difficult but as long you work on the more difficult problems on the HW you should be fine.
Went to his office hours and still did not understand the material well enough to pass his insanely hard tests. His tests are nothing like the homework or classwork. It is way harder. He is a nice guy do not get me wrong, but his teaching just isn't the best and his tests are horrible.
If you struggle with math and need something explained to you then avoid at all costs. Quiz's and test have content on them you have never reviewed in class. In order to "save time" he will do complicated questions before hand and show the work without explanation and quickly move on. I would NEVER take a class with this professor ESPECIALLY ONLINE
Prof Keinfeter is the worse professor I ever had to cod. he failed all his students. he had 5 of us left for the final and two of us did not pass. YOU WILL NOT PASS HIS COURSE SO DONT BOTHER TAKING HIM. take anyone else but him youwill not pass.
Crystal clear instruction with lots of examples. Several midterms, but all were similar to the exercises in the book. Very accessible and always gives you feedback.
Prof. K is an excellent math professor. There are 4 chapter exams and a final. They are nothing crazy, as long as you do homework, you'll do just fine. Highly recommended.
Struggle in math so this is the hardest class I've ever taken. Avoid him at all cost! Nice man but did not understand or learn anything!
This man will not let you know 2 weeks in advanced about your exams which just happen to be 42% of your total grade. I do not understand how a "human" can just do this. We are all adults and have our own lives and jobs. I have emailed Daniel before and asked him to let me know 3 weeks in advanced for the exam/quiz dates. He has not responded...
I took College Algebra and I thought it was an easy class. You just have to do the homework and video assignments. The tests have to be done at a specific time. The professor does offer review problems which are similar to the tests.
Tests are extremally difficult.
Terrible experience. I ended up having to guess what was going to be on the tests. Has a lot of homework which has little to nothing to do with the tests he provided. Had to reach out to him several times, receiving no answer at times. He is a very nice and knowledgeable person, but doesn't do well to get students ready for tests.
I did't really have much of an issue with him, the concepts he went over were hard to understand the way he was explaining them. You have to be on top of the homework otherwise your grade will drop significantly and you'll never get it back up.
Prof has videos where he explains the materials & concepts. Intermediate Algebra is jammed packed with info. From 1 variable in an equation to 3 variables in an equation. In math you kind of teach yourself. Online courses you kind of teach yourself. Email response is good. The textbook is free (Open Stax). The math link is called My Open Math.
Professor is nice but tough! He does not allow any makeup work in anyway. His way of explaining and showing us the problem, difficult to understand. Exams are hard, does not allow any type of notes during exams. If math is not your thing or major definitely do not recommend this professor. Also, class is quiet, awkward, does not engage w/students.
Professor Dan, is kind and caring, his grading scale is well divided. His test are difficult though, should study 3-4 hours a day and practice end of the chapter questions to prepare for test, not so much homework. Lecture are more example heavy and begins class with answering questions. I would recommend using the Stewart books.
One of the worst professors. When it came to tests, I was in no way prepared. I talked to him many times asking what I should do to prepare for the tests and after I did the practice and understood it the exams were completely different. When passing us the final he shrugged his shoulders and said good luck, like he knew we were going to fail.
Dan seems like a respectful guy and caring but his method of teaching is by far the worst I have seen. He reads word for word off the textbook and does not give you leniency for any work. He likes to over complicate explanations. Tests are nothing like the lecture examples. I learned more teaching myself than in the class. Stay away from him.
WHAT AN ABSOLUTE GOAT!!!
Tough course with challenging exams, but Prof. K is helpful. Use the posted notes, textbook, and unstuckstudy to prepare - it really paid off for me. Overall, a rewarding experience.
Classes were structured as questions, lectures, and then, if the topic was being completed, there would be classwork. Professor Dan is a nice guy, and he let us ask as many questions as we wanted. There are three tests and a final. The first test is the hardest, and the third is reasonable. The final was NOTHING like the review homework. BEWARE!!!
Profesor Dan is a good man, but his teaching style is not for everyone. The tests are very difficult, use the textbook, he doesn't provide practice tests or review sheets. However, he answers all questions thoroughly. The tests check to see if you can apply what you've learned to problems you've never seen before. I recommend watching TOCT on yt.
Ruined my streak of all A's throughout my life but this professor is ruthless when it comes to exams. You must understand every concept down to its root. Prepare for the most difficult questions. He isn't much help at providing example problems. Avoid if possible.
Dude I took this class and I couldn't understand his teaching method. I understand the importance of the course, but he doesn't use test corrections, extra credit, tutoring credit, and the only way u can pass is if you do good on the tests. They were 48% of the grade which was crazy. He was nice but not very accommodating for those on DSPS as well.
The professor seemed kind and caring, but his teaching method was horrible. Examples were over complicated and those examples were completely different than what was on the homework, quizzes, and exams. Everything I learned was from other professors on YouTube who actually explained homework questions and showed steps to solve the questions.
He does a lot of example during class which weren't too difficult to follow and gives out a good handfuls of homework. The homework wasn't hard just tedious. Tests were tough af. Just make sure to ask questions
It only took me 3 days in this man's class to see how horrible a professor he is. It's like he would introduce a topic, immediately go into an example just to do the problem in his head, and expect us all to know what he's talking about. He would literally skip almost every important step before finding his answer, leaving me completely confused.
Not a great class for online, every single assignment was completed by the help of professors on youtube, sometimes the workload was especially harsh as well, deadlines were randomly throughout the week. He also used another website to access the assignments and work which needed to be paid for as well.
Do not take this class if you have a job or things outside of school that will take up all of your time. Very quiet teacher, writes problems down and answers with little explanation.
