Nice guy, keeps a lot of office hours and is very helpful if you go to his office. Exams are kind of hard.

Good class!

He tries so hard to get students to understand. If you give any effort in trying to follow, you'll get a decent grade.

Macroeconomics. Lots of people didn't seem to understand. I thought it was an easy class. Its mostly just common sense, and some simple math.

Very enthusiastic instructor who both knows and loves his material. The most frustrating part of his class was tolerating listening to those who could not grasp the simple mathematics involved, which was no fault of his.

Really good lecturer, I highly recommend him. Best econ teacher I know.

He is such an awesome guy and teacher. He really makes it fun! I would recommend going to every class, especially on crappy days. Once it was raining and he gave us all extra credit for coming!! Take him, he is an easy A, plus you learn a ton!

Kuester's a great teacher, very enthusastic and loves what he does. You also get to re-take the tests with a group of 4 but may only get 1 or 2 points back. I suggest going to class because he often gives out extra credit!

Awesome teacher! I dreaded taking this class, but he made it fun! He related the material to things college kids understand, like pizza and beer. He gives out lots of extra credit. I recommend going to all classes because his classes AREN'T boring!

This is by far the best teacher I have ever had at KSU. This class is worth taking simply for this professor. He is the reason I changed my major to economics. Relates well with college kids, extremely clear, and very helpful if you need it.

Don't buy text book. It's online for free and you rarely, if ever, use it. Go to class because he gives easy bonus points. I got an a with very little effort.

His favorite saying is "Economics is everywhere" and he does a great job making class material relatable to the "real world". He offers lots of opportunities for bonus points, so the most important thing in this course is going to class.

He's a great professor. He's very helpful during office hours. His hand writing is bad but he types most of his notes and if you can't read it, he is happy to clarify. He also tries to learn people's names. He learned my name very fast and always calls me by name. He is more about understanding economics than memorizing things. LOTS of extra credit

He is a big man with a bigger heart and passion for his students and the subject. He loves The Office so that will be tied into your lessons which is awesome. We tends to rant about campus parking a lot but makes good points so be sure to bring it up :) Highly reccomend him def. if you are an econ. major!

He is very good about having test review sessions. It is in the students benefit to attend those sessions. He never tells students when there when there is up coming quizzes, so it is important to be prepared prior to attending class.

Great teacher. I took Sports Econ with Dr. Kuester and it was easily my favorite class at K-State. Relates material to practical stories happening currently and if very willing to give extra credit and meet outside of class. You may have to work a little bit, but seriously TAKE THIS TEACHER!!!

The first time I took macro I failed the course. Kuester's course was much more interesting and I felt like I learned quite a bit and was able to get a C. He relates things to real world events and he gives lots of reviews and bonus points in class. It really does help to go to class. He also learned my name which impressed me.

Great teacher, uses tons of examples and makes sure that you understand material. Literally didn't have a textbook when I took class. Gets to know all of his students even in class of 200+. Class is miss-able but he does have random quizzes and easy in class extra credit

He's one of the best teachers I have had at KSU so far. He really cares about his students (he knows every student's name in large lectures) and wants them to succeed.

He likes to relate the subject to what is going on in the world. He likes to give test questions over current events he talks about in class. More about learning a way of thinking then anything else, the math is fairly simple. He is very willing to help outside of class. Review sessions are great

Fantastic teacher. You'll have 3 tests, some online quizzes and some in class pop quizzes but he will always tell you the day before. He gives a lot of little extra credit points here and there. Need to study for the tests, not as much as chemistry but not as little as speech. He knows the material well but his handwriting isn't too hot.

Very nice man who is excited about economics. He was very pleasant to me. I approached him early in the semester as I was scared about this class and not only did he take the time to help me study better and sign up for the book resource he followed up two weeks later and introduced me to someone to study with in the class who helped me a lot.

Kuester puts in the effort as long as you do! If you don't understand, ask. Use the tutors available. And reading the chapters assigned in the book really help!

I really enjoyed his class. He gives clear notes and emails them to you before class. He does expect you to read the book but I got away with not doing so. If you listen in class, ask questions, go to his tutors when you need help, and attend his review sessions, its a pretty easy class. He does a lot of bonus points so go to class.

He is funny and nice. His notes are a complete headache whether you are trying to look at them on canvas before a test, or following them in class. As stated before by others the study guide is completely worthless.

This professor knows what he's talking about, and it was easy to keep up with the information. There are random pop quizzes, but they really aren't too hard. The homework assignments tended to be difficult. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. It is completely unneeded. Lots of extra credit in class so make sure to show up for the extra credit and quizzes!

Kuester is super funny and tries to make class enjoyable as much as possible. Course gets harder as you progress. Sometimes he doesn't have the best way to explain things but he goes over information more than once which helps with the understanding as well as there being plenty of opportunities to ask for clarity on things you don't understand.

Thought he made his class super interesting. If you aren't interested in sports or the business behind sports, this class isn't for you. Difficult at times, but very manageable and makes his class fun. Fun guy and understanding.

Dr. Kuester was a great teacher. His lectures were pretty funny, and he always gave out extra credit. He would give out pop quizzes so going to class is recommend, but if you just paid attention in class then the quizzes were pretty easy.

Dr. Kuester's class is very challenging but doable if you are strict about going to class. He does a good job of trying to make econ entertaining for college students. He typically gives 2 online quizzes and 2 pop quizzes before each test that are challenging but help cushion your grade if you do well. I got an A without even buying the textbook

I came in to this class with no previous Econ knowledge and it ended up being one of my favorite courses. If you show up to class and pay attention you will be fine. He gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit which helps a lot. Also, make sure you utilize the tutoring available in SAS. If you put in some time this is a doable and fun class.

I loved Dr. Kuester's class. He knows what he's talking about and is really good at covering the basics of Economics in a way that students can understand. There are 2 quizzes per exam and he doesn't tell you when they're going to be so attendance is basically mandatory. He is very disorganized, but it's not too difficult to work around that.

I really enjoyed this class! I learned so much! I liked the way Professor Kuester explained things. It made it easy to understand. His tests are definitely not easy, but he will help if you ask questions beforehand. I felt like he really cared about his students. He learned a lot of our names, which was impressive considering out big the class was.

Kuester cares about his students. He gives out plenty of extra credit. Beware of pop quizzes. Attendance is not required but exams have questions about what he thinks on a certain topic. You will only get that information in class. He makes himself available during office hours for extra help.

Dr. Kuester is a great professor! Pretty much show up and listen and you can get an easy A. Be careful to take detailed notes however, very small details that are briefly mentioned in class can come back to bite you on exams!

A lot of people complain about Kuester's class being really difficult but it really isn't too bad. Every test has extra credit on it that is super easy if you pay attention in class. I recommend going to class because there are lots of random quizzes that he throws out there, as well as random EC opportunities. Study the notes and you'll be golden

That professor was very clear and easy to understand. I loved this class. Showing up to class really matters because he gives out pop quizzes and extra credit. This was the key to me passing. If people show up and do the homework you will pass with an A if you try!

You will need to attend every lecture because of the pop quizzes. However he does a great job of explaining concepts and is very willing to help students.

Kuester is very enuthastic and passionate about his class. He is a tough grader when it comes to test. However Kuester does give lots of extra credit just for attending his class. He picks random class days to give out in class extra credit assignments. He also has unnounced quizzes in his class so attendance is definitely mandatory.

I really enjoyed his class because you can get extra credit for answering econ questions about shows like The Office and stuff. Make sure you pay attention in class and take notes but the tests are pretty much straight from that. He also allows retest points that you can do in groups which is also helpful.

Very interesting class, and Kuester is as knowledgable one can be on Sports Economics. If you know nothing/very little about sports before the class, it could be pretty hard. A lot of extra credit for showing up to class, plus there are pop quizzes. Still enjoyed the class immensely.

GOOD MORNING ECONOMISTS! I really enjoyed this class. You do have to pay attention in lecture because he does like to borrow from that on the exams but he gives lots of bonus point and his review sessions are great. I was very impressed he always remembered my name in such a huge class.

Since he is the Economics Department Head, he really knows what he is talking about. The textbook was not required although offered. He tries his best to be funny and spice up the lecture but is a little disorganized and can be hard to follow and take notes. Tests are easy if you come to class and he offers extra credit in class. Pop quizzes exist.

Kuester is a fun teacher that will open up your learning in economics. By far my favorite teacher - and very positive! Anyone that dislikes him in this class is most likely only complaining about the work, not the professor. He can mess up a few technical errors (incorrectly color-code something, make mistakes on tests multiple choice answers).

Dr. Kuester is a very caring and knowledgeable economics professor. He often uses clips from shows like The Office, Seinfeld, etc. to teach his points, which helps me a lot. We barely used the textbook. His handwriting on the board is hard to read so print the typed notes from Canvas and listen up. Show up, do your work, listen and you'll get an A.

Kuester is a good teacher that clearly aims to educate his students the best he can. The class was also fairly easy, partially due to the large amount of extra credit he would give out.

The exams can be pretty difficult, but there are tons of chances throughout the semester to earn bonus points. Dr. Kuester does an excellent job teaching the material in ways that enables students to more easily grasp concepts.

Kuester is one of the best teachers I've ever had, he explains topics very well and offers extra credit frequently he also does 6 random pop quizzes throughout the semester and allows you to do retakes on the test to get some extra credit

Dr. Kuester is a amazing professer for econ110. He gives out a lot of extra credit (in class) and show clips from the office. His test are pretty easy as long as you pay attention in class. He also does a review around every 2 weeks and before exams where you can ask questions.. If you can't pass this class then you should not be in college.

I had Econ 110 first semester of my first year in college. In high School I got mostly A's and a few B's. In Kuester's class I had a high A almost the entire semester. Kuester truly cares about getting to know his students. Go to every class, take good notes and you will get an A in the class

Great guy who tries to make the class interesting. His notes are a bit of a mess, so it's important to go to class to see what he means. Study guides aren't very helpful but he does provide past exams.

Knows the material but can be difficult to follow along with. He expects you to know his opinions for many economic topics for exams but he will tell you those during lectures. Make sure to take good notes and always watch and read any material he want you to because you will be tested over those as well. Overall, solid choice for an ECON teacher.

Kuester was a fantastic teacher. He is always willing to meet up after class and is very personal . ATTEND THE LECTURES. All of the pop quizzes are in class. If you do the practice exams and quizzes, you will do very well on his exams.

I am an animal science major and don't understand business and econ for crap but easily one of the best professors I have had. Very caring and does everything in his power to help you understand. A+++ for playing The Office videos to help understand the concepts.

Kuester is my favorite professor I have had at KSU. His class is not the easiest but put in the work & keep up with understanding the material you will get an A/B. Attendance is mandatory, you will have pop quizzes & a lot of extra credit. Know what is going on in case there is a pop quiz. Test are like quizzes and take good notes, you will be fine

Dr. Kuester is a great lecturer that cares greatly about his students. He makes himself extremely available outside of class time, and you can tell how passionate and knowledgeable he is about economics by the way he instructs his class. Great guy. Be prepared to attend class and take notes and youll be set.

He's a great professor and a very funny guy. Extra credit is a common thing and an A is easy.

I recommend going to the "Focused Friday's" if you are having trouble in class, or want extra credit. I wouldn't recommend skipping class because there are often pop quizzes, and the stuff he says randomly in will be on the exams. Overall I found this class really easy as long as you pay attention, and go to the lectures!!

Loved this class! The lectures were fun and frequently included entertaining activities for a small amount of extra credit. Evening Zoom review sessions were hosted frequently to ensure everyone had a chance to ask questions and review the material. Attendance wasn't mandatory, but you risked missing one of the numerous "pop"-quizzes.

Dr. Kuester is one of the only professors I've had that actually gives you the "college experience" you expect. No, class isn't mandatory, but he crafts his class in a way which makes it so if you skip out on class, it will be very hard to pass. However, if you go to class and pay attention, you'll easily pass. Great lecturer, fun guy.

Dr. Kuester is great. The content he gives is relatively easy, and he adapted to the online medium pretty well. His lectures are super engaging - he loves to tell stories about his childhood, which he always relates back to the topic. Homework is simple for him, as he is not a strict grader. Kuester is one of my most favorite professors I have had so far. Hi lectures are a bit unorganized, but you can tell that he genuinely cares about his students and economics. I genuinely look forward to his class very Mon/Wed/Fri and am sad the semester is coming to an end

Kuester is the best professor I have ever had. He is so passionate about the economy and his students which made me want to go to class, even though attendance wasn't mandatory. The class is somewhat difficult, but he is a very good professor and good at answering questions if you have any.

I loved his class and overall he seems to care for students. I highly recommend taking him if possible. You must go to the lectures and watch his videos though, the tests have multiple references to things only said in class.

I really enjoyed this class but not sure how much I learned. He does give out pop quizzes but usually if you just pay attention to the lecture you will be fine. The exams are split up into two parts and the majority of it is online. He also offers extra credit opportunities so make sure to read the syllabus!

Just show up and you will get a 90+%. Kuester has questions over his specific views and videos played in class on exams, but anything that will be tested on is repeated multiple times. Watch his focused fridays and recorded lectures because he will quiz you on them. Extra credit is given a ton.

Kuester is a very passionate professor, and he is probably the best economics professor at K-State. He makes lectures very fun and relatable. I would attend class as much as possible because some things on the exams and quizzes are only mentioned in lecture. Kuester does give out pop quizzes, but the exams are part online and open-note.

Overall the class was okay. Kuester definitely gets off topic sometimes and how he explains things can be confusing. Biggest issue I had is that his handwriting is TERRIBLE! It made it difficult to follow what he was doing at times and understand his example problems. He was very passionate and still was able to keep the class engaged! Not bad.

However, I showed up ever day and just really tried to learn. I found this class very enjoyable even though I'm not and Econ major.

Dr. Kuester is a very sincere person - he wants you to succeed, and he'll give you the means with which to do so. He's not the most tech-savy person and his handwriting can be challenging to read, but outside of that, he teaches quite well. If you put in the time and energy, you will do well in his class.

Funny and does his best to make an online econ class entertaining. He seems to be aware that the majority of people enrolled in the class are only taking it because its a requirement for their degree. Overall pretty easy concepts, hosts zoom meetings for "lecture" and posts them to canvas so you can watch them if you cant be at the live zoom

Lecture built on creating discussion and involving students. Holds material review days to cover topic students may struggle with and work through practice problems. Worked through drawing out econ graphs (supply/demand, PPF, etc) rather than just talking through a premade slide

Kuester is the best econ teacher you could ask for. Hes super sweet and plays videos from the office to give examples. He gives lots of extra credit and asks reasonable questions on homework, exams and quizzes. He loves class engagement and will always be willing to help you with whatever you may need and hosts reviews weekly. 100/10 get Kuester!!!

Always willing to help and quite literally unlimited amounts of extra credit. Go to his focused fridays (where he reviews and answers questions!) for extra credit. He works to learn every student's name and it's super accesible and easy for a non-econ major! I'm so thankful he was my intro to econ :)
