Professor Linker is a very helpful and kind guy. Take him whenever possible, very understanding, wish all teachers were like him!!!!

BE carefull!!!! his tests can be tough. On hamlet, he gave out a review sheet with 30 q's, which i memorized. hs test was all quotes, which no1 expected and most people failed. some questions on his tests arent relevent to what you study, and it can be tough. be carefull.

hes a great teacher but his tests can be difficult, also he gives homework every single day.. overall though you will learn alot in his class and hes a great professor

Linker was a great Prof. i did poorly on my first paper, he let me rewrite it and i shot up 2 letter grades. i enjoyed his class. this is one class ull def get a kick out of. he works hard for the students and really challenges everyone to do well. one of the best prof i've had!

I don't know what that one person is talking about, I think he grades very fair, I took him for EG11 and EG13, he's a great teacher, makes the class interesting and he's hilarious, if you wanna have fun and learn deffinatley take him, or if you just wanna have and get a good grade take him.

I was not into taking this class at all. I needed it. He made it so much fun to learn. He is a super nice guy, easy to talk to - will go above and beyond to help if you just ask. I am very happy to have had him for this. I would recommend. And, he pretty easy on the eyes.

He is the best professor at SCCC. He made english fun, and encouraged class discussion and enabled students to develope there own ideas. I recommend taking any class this man teachs, he is also very sexy!

Very good teacher, not easy but fair. If you do your part as a student, you will be graded fairly. Some of the writing assignments were not always clear at first, but when you ask for clarification you got it. He is also willing to meet with students before/after class. If you are sincere, he will work with you. I took both EG11 & EG13 w/him.

Wonderful teacher, jump at the opportunity to have him. He kept the interest of the entire 8am class with ease and was just quirky and funny enough to be interesting without being distracting. He gave a decent workload (for honors students, at least) but he gave it in such a way that it didn't feel like much. A truly wonderful teacher.

If you do your work on time and actually make an effort, the class is easy. The teacher is very helpfull and understanding.

I've taken Professor Linker at least once a semester since I started at Suffolk 2 years ago. He's great. He's so funny, but if you don't take him seriously/sleep through his class he'll give you an attitude. You make the tests, HW is required each class, but nothing ever too hard (A couple paragraphs or a reading)willing to help u if u put in work

he is a great prof. I am an english major and I loved every minute of his class there are easy quizzes from the reading and his tests are very easy you make up the test questions together plus he is so much fun and very clear to understand I recommend him

Very easy. Sometimes his jokes are not funny, and tends to laugh at his own jokes.Gives homework every night, but they are easy. usually just a paragraph or two typed. Not alot of reading, maybe 4-7 pages tops for hw. Gives about 4-5 essays during the semester. Participate, be on time, do homework and write the essay and you will pass with a B.

LOVE HIM!!!!! This class is easy if you do your part. Pay attention, participate every once in a while, do the short reading and short responses...you're set! Really nice guy, funny too. And totally cute.

He was really passionate about English, more than any other English professor I've had. He was young and very easy going. He still knows what its like to be a student. His work was easy and fair, and he's a very easy grader. I didn't learn much about English but the class discussions were interesting.

Online course. Lots of work, MORE than GOING TO class. Must post summaries AND discussion every week. Two books, Curzan and Bryson. Prof. Linker VERY involved. Two papers, 5-6 pgs each, required. If you are interested in phonetics, how English language began, and grammar this is your course. Great professor even on-line!

I took Prof. Linker for American Lit II and got a B+. He has 2 page responses due for readings on Tuesdays and quizzes on Thursdays! 2 papers, a midterm and final that consisted of writing essays. He is AMAZING. Lets you have your own opinions. Super helpful and cares A LOT about teaching. Everything is so interesting in his class!

This professor makes it possible to appreciate stories and poetry you never thought you'll be interested in. I used to hate poetry, but now I have to admit that i find it enjoyable because of prof. Linker. Take his class if you want to experience literature the way it's suppose to be experienced.

Really appreciates lit you will feel the same even if you had no interest in lit before, great teacher knows his field, DO THE READING, typed responses due on Tues and short quiz due on Thur, if you read you will get an A, 2 essays, can do rewrites he really cares about u and ur work and will assist you to be a better writer-TAKE HIS CLASS!

He was a really great teacher and always had some kind of philosophical point of view on everything which made for some really great enlightening stories and also gave you a higher point of view on life. For a literature class i learned a lot about the world and i would try to get him again as a teacher in a heartbeat.

I had him for HONORS Comp. He is so helpful its unbelievable. Just to point out my writing as improved so much within one semester. I Thank him for all he as done to help me. So pretty much there is about 5 essays and a reasearch paper for a final which he gives you a month to do. He also gives an EXTRA CREDIT assignment! CHOOSE HIM IF YOU CAN!

He loves english and you can tell by how he teaches. He really cares about his students doing well. He's always willing to help. The class was easy. Just do what you have to and he always lets you do re-writes on papers. There are no tests but about 6essays. Take him. He's also funny!!

Professor Linker was one of the best professors I've had at Suffolk. He mixes in humor with his lectures & keeps everything interesting. If you don't want to attend class, then don't take him. He gives quizzes on assigned readings once a week & assigns "mini essays" once a week. His "mini essays" are the best part of this class!

Professor Linker is by far one of the best professors here. He keeps the 8:00 A.M class going with his humor. The class was fun. You get a quiz on a reading and the next week a "Mini-Essay". At the end, you only have one final 5 page paper. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM. Enter the class CRN before its full! lol :)

Hardest online class out of three others. I took it over the summer, so i'm just complaining about how much work there was. He is bad at answering emails. It took him a month or two to answer mine. BUT, he is helpful and an easy grader and i do recommend him. 3 essays… first two are difficult. No tests.

Professor Linker is one of the best teachers at SCCC. I took for Eng 102 and 215, he makes boring material very interesting. He understands not everything is a lot of fun but he still is very good at retaining everyone's attention. He gives quizzes and papers weekly but they are anything to worry about, he enjoys teaching which makes class go fast

Short readings every week and a 3-4 question quiz based on the readings. Mini-essays (1-2 pages) due almost every week but they're really easy. Linker was the best, so funny and helpful and really keeps you interested even if you aren't into English. Attendance counts

Truly the best professor that I've ever had- in any subject. I voluntarily took him for three classes, so his effectiveness as a professor is pretty self explanatory. This was my first experience taking an online class and he made it so simple and easy. You do have to read, and your participation matters a lot.

Really nice guy. Mini 1 page essay every week. Quiz on the weekend reading every week. One 5-8 final paper. Funny conversations. However, a grade is a grade, the quality of your work is the grade youll recieve.

One of my favorite online classes. You will definitely need to purchase the textbooks. There are only three essays and one test; the rest is just discussion boards and a homework assignment due once a week so make sure you participate and post early. He is a VERY fair grader, and he always gives good feedback.

I had Prof Linker for ENG 101 online, and he was AMAZING! He took a lot of time to give specific feedback to everyone; how they can improve and what they did right or wrong. A really good professor. I was never super into English however Professor Linker made the material throughout the class more interesting through his viewpoints and lectures a really relatable down to earth guy. If you do the reading throughout the course you should have no trouble passing the quizzes throughout the semester.

He is one of the most compassionate professors I've ever had! As a summer course we had 5 discussion board posts& 5 responses- both with no min. word count, and 5 essays. You read one novel, a few short stories, and some poems. He gives you links/PDF's so there is no textbook purchases for this class! Takes a while to grade but pretty easy grader!

Best professor I've had at Suffolk. Instead of having massive essays throughout the term, he had us do "mini-essays" which were short analysis' of texts we were given to read. These mini essays had NO page or word count requirement as long as you got the point across. In the lectures he was relatable and funny, he made even boring texts interesting

I previously failed English 102. I have always struggled in English and hated the classes. Linker makes his class fun through interesting discussions and choosing literature that students enjoy or at least not hate. This class was the best English class I've taken. You will have to write 1-2 page essays every week but it's really not that bad.

Took this class fully online, and criteria for each essay were provided. Overall really easy English class and he required no textbook, he provide all readings. He did wait to grade everything until the last 2 weeks of the semester but all over very easy class and fair grader. The essays were pretty easy to complete 1-2 pages at most.

He's very funny and understanding about any late assignments. The class isn't boring, and overall easy if you show up to class.

I Loved this class, I looked forward to it everyday. Professor Linker is a very comfortable and caring person to learn from. He sculpts the class and assignments around the interests of the students and what they show interest in during the first few assignments. The class itself was very fast paced, I'm not good with reading but I got through it!

Took him for summer 2024 and honestly, it went so smooth. He made the lectures entertaining and fun. Since it was a summer semester, there was alot of work with little time but he made it so simple and the stories were entertaining to read, that the papers due each week (literally 2 pages) felt like light work. I would definitely take him again!!

Professor Linker's ENG102 lectures are engaging and he genuinely cares about student success. The workload is manageable with frequent mini-essays and a final paper. unstuck study was a helpful study tool alongside the free textbook. Would recommend this class.

what a king. he's so easy and gives a light amount of work that is given at the beginning of the week and due at the end of the week. Work includes reading a short story, write a short comment about it, respond to at least one or two people, then a one page double spaced paper about it. Literally so easy.

I took this professor for ENG101 and I am currently taking him for ENG102. He is definitely one of the best professors I have had. All the assignments are straightforward and the class was fun. He is one of the best professors to take for english.

Had him for ENG 102. Overall, he was one my favorite professors I have taken. He is understanding and very inspiring. He does require independent reading so be ready to do that (there is a test on readings at the end of the semester and weekly quizzes) Term paper of 5-7 pages as well. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

Professor Liner is a great teacher. I took him for ENG 101 & 102 and earned an A in both classes. There are weekly readings and short essays, but they're manageable. In ENG 102, be prepared for brief quizzes based on the short stories or poems we've read. As long as you complete all your papers and quizzes, you'll earn an A.
