Stay far away! Aplia HW doesn't coincide with lecture. Very, very hard class. Very poor teaching style. No set day when HW is due, often changing it. Not opening Aplia for other assignments until last daychanging it on you. He does apply a curve to grade. Assignments due the first dayweek ,not announced in class or on BB, so get on Aplia ASAP.

See more of his reviews under Arkansas State University. He tries to make class interesting, but it's economics. He spends a lot of time reviewing material from previous classes. He makes the material very easy to understand again again and again. Class is easy if you have common sense and logic. You can skip. No clickers. Slides are posted

Worst teacher I've had at ASU. His grading scale is ridiculous. 75% exams (3 exams) and 25% homework. He does not teach what's on the homework. It is unnecessarily hard. Not to mention you do not get a review for any of his tests. His excuse is, "This is my first time writing a multiple choice test in 40+ years." You will be extremely unprepared.

Its hard. Ok guy, but class is a lot of work & confusing. Lectures are long & boring. 3 hard exams worth 75% & Aplia is 25%. Holds reviews for exams but no point to go bc its tons of students on top of each other in a small classroom and its confusing too. Sometimes Aplia and lectures don't relate. If you take this class, expect to do a lot of work

I'm going to be honest. This class is pretty difficult. The online homework is a base average of three attempts. So, in reality, you will probably end with a B in homework, which is 25% of your grade. Their are three tests which are very tough, out of ten people I know, 6 are retaking it. 2 Got C's. And 2 B's. Do what you want, but it isn't easy.

I really enjoyed Professor Marburger. He's a very humorous man and explained economics in a relatable way to students. I never really had a problem understanding economics, but I do know some people struggled more than others. There's a tough grading criteria, but I have an A in the class thus far. The homework helped me succeed in the tests.

A complete tool that spends more time stroking his own ego than he does going over the content. This course has a lot of interesting material that he sadly does not do a good job of communicating through lectures. The book is a must; coupled with the lecture notes he has posted you can do relatively well considering the lack of effort he puts in.

Prepare to teach yourself as he lectures the whole time using examples that are so far fetched they don't even make since and are not easily comparable to the real world. He doesn't assign much homework but be prepared to teach yourself the topics for all assignments. You won't learn anything in class but still have to go for in class assignments.

Do not take this class. He is a very tough grader, he only gives 2 exams which are each worth 60% of your grade. He also makes attendance mandatory by using moblab. Moblab is one question per class, you have 2 minutes to answer, 1 attempt, and is worth way too much of your grade (20%). To be honest, I wish I had looked at his reviews before.

Smart guy, hard to follow. Close to 75% of test content was not mentioned in class, but through the online textbook. Homework was graded on ACCURACY. In addition, you can't skip this class because there is a participation question about the daily course content which is heavily weighted. However, lots of help sessions/resources were provided.

Terrible Professor. Probably the worst teacher I've experienced throughout high school/college. Class consists on a boring 60 min lecture that teaches you basically nothing.
