Dan is the best teacher I have had in a long time. He is really laid back and is always willing to help his students in any way he can. He really cares about his students and wants everyone all to pass. There is a little bit of hw, and as long as you study and pay attentio, the tests are pretty easy.

Mr. Mullins is such a great professor. He really wants every one of his students to pass. I was very discouraged and thought there was no hope, and he brought up my confidence to stay in the class and I passed and will definitley take him again. There is a lot of homework, and tests every week, but I truely think it helped me so much in the end.

He's a funny guy. Take him if your willing to go home and do homework and really study a lot on your own. He sometimes talks a lot about his wife and kids and then crams everything during the last 20 minutes of class. He's very nice and if you go to class on time and do what you gotta do itz an easy A.

He is a gret teacher and truley cares about his students. I had to drop due to personal issues, but he is worth taking. It is not an "easy A" in my opinion. You really have to work hard, study, do homework, pay attention, and be prepared for pop quizes, but you will do just fine if you do all of the above. I reccommend him.

Mr. Mullins is super nice. He truly cares about his students, and he always wants to offer good customer service to us. Test every week, but he reviews them and they are multiple choice. Homework due the night of the test. Makes the class fun and interesting. Down to earth, calm guy.

Dan is GREAT!! Very fast paced and a lot of homework, but definitely an A is possible. Come to class and do the work and you will be fine. Very nice guy and has a great sense of humor, which helps to make night classes a little bit easier.

This professor is awesome. he will help you with anything. i mean if you have a problem and you speak to him about it i am sure he is able to work something out with you. attendence is not mandatory. he does use the text book and give alot of homework but it is due the day of the test he give you more than enought time to be able to get it done. ov

Mullins is an amazing professor that cares about your grade and will take the time outside of class and sometimes in class to make sure everyone understands. The homework may seem daunting due to the sheer amount but it can be completed fairly quickly and a majority of the questions on the hw show back up on the exams. A one of a kind professor!!

Dan is an awesome teacher. He tries to make class fun and bareable. He really takes the time to know his students and actually cares about them as human beings. Dan is just an awesome professor to have and people should really take his classes because he is very thorough and will take the extra time to help you understand the content.

Amazing professor! I had a 7am class and he was always energized and ready to help those who needed it. Extremely understanding and makes coming to a math class painless. Would recommend him to everyone!

He's a great human being for sure but if you're iffy at math he may not be the best choice. I loved having him but people in my class struggled greatly. I was a math major for a bit so his class came naturally to me but I know others had a hard time. If you have a solid foundation of math take him. He's literally the nicest teacher at Valencia tbh.

You are graded on 4 test and a final he drops your lowest test grade and replaces it with your final. Homework every week and if you complete the homework 48 hours in advance you will receive extra credit. Everything is fairly easy and if you do not understand a topic he will be MORE THAN HAPPY to explain it to you. Funny guy with dad joke humor :)

he definitely cares. i didnt think i was going to pass this class because of a few bad test grades, but professor Dan knew i tried my hardest and helped me believe in myself enough to pull through. Never been so proud of myself honestly. i will be taking my next math class with this professor.

The Professor is great! Just be ready to learn math. I took it in the summer and the summer term is shorter than the other terms so I had to crunch a lot of information in. It was hard, but just put time in the class and study and youll be okay. There are pop quizzes like 4 and test are pretty standard. Just study and youll pass.

Dan is a caring Professor, many of my classmates dont think so. He truly tried to help everyone pass. He gave extra credit for test which are 10 points. At the end he allows you to retake a test you score low on. Not to mention, he goes over questions missed on test or quiz. Just study and youll be okay. Dont expect to not study and get an A.

This class made me appreciate math a bit more but unfortunately, lots of people cheated in this class in order to pass the exams using an application called Mathway they ended up with As on their finals while people who studied didnt end up with good of grades. He needs to confiscate phones prior to exams in order to minimize cheating

Professor Mullins is probably one of my favorite teachers by far, he was super helpful when i was struggling in his class, and he went out of his way to help me. I would definitely take him again, 10/10 recommend him. Also knows his information and knows how to tech it clearly.

I took him for my 1st semester for int. algebra and I am now taking him for college math for my 2nd semester. He is one of the best caring professors that I have encountered since high school. You should show up to class, he will go over any Q's and help you out. The math lab might be your best friend if u struggle in math like myself. TAKE HIM!!

Amazing professor, he make sure that you feel comfortable when taking his class. If you're a nerdy sci-fi person or watch a lot 80-90s movie then this is your profess, but anyway. Homeworks and quizzes/tests are easy, IF you study, but if not then you going to have some hard time in this class. Just remember, study make everything easy.

Professor Mullins is one of the best teachers I have ever taken. He is available in scheduled meetings 2x weekly, has an assistant for extra zoom meetings as well as schedules to meet with your schedule. He wants you to succeed and by meeting with him you will get help with missed questions and he will give you points. Offers extra credit.

Professor Mullins is amazing! He genuinely cares for his students and wants to see them succeed. Even though my class was online and it was basically learn from the textbook, he was always available to help with any questions I had and is super understanding. :) Having him as a prof made me dread math a little less lol

Dan is a professor I would love to have for all my other classes. I took his class online and he really helps you not only pass the class but to get the best grade you can. If you reach out to him he will let you retake tests and quizzes, he will do all possible to get you to your goal in the class.

If you typically struggle with math take Dan! Hes the best math professor Ive had. He will stay on zoom and go over your homework and tests with you. I passed with a B !

The professor is one of the best I've had. He meets with you after every unit test to discuss the answers you got wrong and if he sees that you do understand the concept, he gives you extra points. Follow the syllabus and assignments/quizzes in Pearson and you will get a good grade. He wants you to succeed and he is available throughout the week.

Take this professor. He will change your life. He actually cares. His announcements are inspirational, he calls himself our coach. I have never met a more caring person, I caught COVID and was out a whole week and he made sure I caught up. Make sure you participate in his zoom meetings hes great at answering all your questions!

As a professor he is very kind and caring. He will go out of his way to help you. As for his class...I am horrible at math. This was easily the hardest class I have ever taken. It was a lot of work. More so at the very beginning of the class. Less work as the time went on. Math lab and no proctored. Allows notes on test.

Professor Mullins truly cares about his students and wants to ensure their success. As a student who works full time and goes to school full time he gave ample opportunities to help me have success during this course. There is work to be done but if you stay on top of it and keep a good schedule it is a easy class, I highly recommend.

Professor Mullins is a good teacher, but be prepared - you have to learn a lot. It is a good combination of a little of theory, which is included in exam tests, and practice. You have to pay attention to theory! In rest, Professor Mullins is helpful and friendly. Regards.

Professor Dan was an amazing math teacher. I took online Calculus for Business and Social Studies. At times I procrastinated and severely struggled as this was my first calc class but as soon as I started joining the optional zoom sessions he was there to support me every step of the way. He truly cares about his students.

He is amazing! I've never met a more understanding teacher that actually cared about my well being. He will do his absolute best to make sure you understand the material and will go over it 1000 times if needed. He will go over your test grades with you to give you extra points. Definitely take this man, he is amazing and a great teacher!

This is my second time taking this course. The first time I took it; the professor I had was rude and never cared to help so I passed with a D in that class. But when I took it the second time with Dan, I passed with an A. He helped me so much and made sure I took tutoring which helped. This is best professor I have ever took classes with.

Professor Mullins cares about his students & their mental health. Professor has an assistant so contacting them for help is really accessible and prompt. Zoom is optional for help and extra points. Reviews are much like the test and quizzes, not proctored nor honor locked. AMAZING class for online. 10/10 Take!!

Quizzes have 5 attempts. Tests have 1 attempt. EVERYTHING is open note, including the Final Exam. He offers Test Debriefs. I recommend taking notes and copying down examples, it truly helps. I took this course F2F for 8 weeks. Just make sure to set aside chunks of personal time to work on assignments; it's essential. Soooo caring and I loved him!

I Loved Dan's class, I took a hyper-accelerated class and I hate math but he made the topics easy to learn and I got out with a B+ his grading is quizzes tests and the participation (come to class) he really wants to help you if your willing to help yourself.

He really tries to help you succeed, HIGHLY encourage you to seek him outside of class if a test goes bad. In the accelerated course we did group work in class, but to pass you definitely need to put effort in watching the explanation videos and doing the practice questions with the textbook that you need to purchase.

Professor Dan is one of the best Professors at Valencia College! He truly cares about his students and their success in his class! Math is not my strongest subject at all, but I passed with a B! Make sure you attend test debriefs for extra credit and take advantage of quiz makeups. Don't be afraid to reach out, he is more than willing to help. :)

He's excellent, truly cares + tries to put the material in simple terms so the students can understand. Easily accessible outside of class There are HW and lectures online because the class is pretty tough with a lot to cover, but i'ts straight forward and easy to follow. I've tried this class with other profs and could never understand before him.

I absolutely love this professor. I took his class for summer b 6-week class, and how he would structure his class is every Tuesday and Thursday we have class. Instead of lectures, however, you get randomly assigned groups, and all work on problems together. Dan is super respectful and caring, and I genuinely say he is my favorite professor ever.

Dan Mullins is by far the best professor I have ever had! So kind and generous, and will give you extra time and help if you need it. There are a good amount of assignments but they are all doable and relatively easy with practice. The Practice Exams are extremely helpful to the actual exams. If you get the opportunity definitely take his class!!

Professor Dan has been THE BEST professor. This was my first time taking math online and in English, but he made it an amazing experience he is EXTREMELY caring and kind and sometimes he will give you extra credit. The only thing there is A LOT of homework but he is very understanding with the due dates and also his test are proctored by honorlock.

He is an amazing professor! Since it was a new class, it was difficult and he wanted to hear our feedback on the homework assignments and quizzes. Also, he is very caring and helps as much as he can. Besides homework load and some quizzes, there are 5 exams in total.

Professor Mullins was my favorite professor during my first semester. I entered his class hating math and exited it loving math. He is extremely engaging and makes an effort to make the subject interesting rather than boring. The materials he uses are extremely helpful and he provides really good feedback. Professor Mullins is an awesome math teacher, we work more in group setting which allows us to interact with our classmate. There is a lot of homework though. As long as you take really good notes and understand the material you are golden!

Prof. Dan is motivational and deeply cares. The class is very straight fwd. Read the chapt, aim to get a 100% on hmwk & quizzes. Always complete the practice tests they are very similar to the actual test. Attend Zooms. You can pass if you try. Don't procrastinate, it's easy to fall behind. The class moves very fast but doable. Best prof to take!!

Professor Daniel was amazing and very helpful he provided lots of information and it really showed he cares about his students. I will say if you are taking this class be prepared to spend hours on homework and exams are like every week so you must be prepared to take lots of test. He does offer lots of ways to make up your grade so that's a plus.

I am not good at math. But Dan made this class helpful. Homework is a couple days a week. You can tell he really cares about teaching. He does debriefs after tests. At first I didn't want to do them, but he really does want to help you learn from mistakes. You might get extra points in the debrief too! Honorlock but you can use notes on tests.

Take this class!! Professor Mullins truly cares for his students and wants to see them succeed. If you do the assignments, you will pass. If you study, you will pass. Don't let the honor lock exams scare you, you can always go for a debrief meeting after and see where you went wrong (notes allowed too). He is super understanding and very present!

Mr. Dan takes his students success very seriously; he will remind you about your test. Do your homework assignments early so that you have time to redo your quizzes. A total of 7 units + 1 prerequisite unit with a LOT of hw! (58 total HW Assignments). HW ranges from 10-30 questions but some questions have like 15 parts. 10% off per day you miss a HW from the due date (4-7 HW assignments per week I believe). Prof. Dan is caring and understanding. His debriefs are always helpful, and he's willing to work with you. As long as you stay on top of the homework and lectures, the class isn't hard. I'm looking forward to taking more math courses with him!
