This was quite frankly the best math class I have ever taken. I have been attempting to learn logarithms for three years and this is the first time that I was actually able to understand them. Professor Richardson is super engaging and hilarious. I would recommend everyone to take his class.

I am not good at math as most people. He breaks it down in ways that will make you understand. Use lots of extra credit. Online quizzes and homework are a must. 3 test and a final. Book optional. Also does online recording so you can go back and hear the lesson. He also has great stories, respond back quickly on emails, and doors are always open

Mr. Daniel Richardson is a great professor. He explains the work thoroughly to help you understand it. The book explains the work but it is nothing compared to his powerpoint lectures. I would highly recommend taking his class.

This was a summer class so it was difficult to keep up. However, he explains everything in a way that is easy to understand. He does offer ways to earn extra credit throughout the entire semester. He stays after class in the ASC pretty much everyday and doesn't mind walking you through topics when he's there. Doing the ALL of the homework is key.

I'm HORRIBLE with math but Professor Richardson made it as enjoyable as possible. If your decent at math, you'll really like his style. I'm not sure I even passed, because of me, not him, and I still like him.

Professor Richardson gives you plenty of opportunities to bring your grade up as much as possible. The work is up to you, he just gives you the tools to complete it. Always responds to messages and gives entertaining lectures. He genuinely cares for his students. Would definitely take him again.

Just do the weekly assignments, and all of his practice worksheets before the tests and you should be fine. He is always in his office and offers great reviews before his test.

I took Professor Richardson's class this semester (Fall 2018), and I am not the best at math, but he really made sure that I was getting the help I needed and makes sure his students master the material. I would say I had a hard time in this class just because I'm not very good at math, but besides that he is a great professor. 9/10.

Does an excellent job of teaching the material in such a way that it is as relateable as possible and has a focus on real world application, which puts, especially subjects like statistics into more perspective. Mr. Richardson makes his lectures highly entertaining through his wealth of life experience and stories. A real pleasure to have had him.

Professor Richardson is an amazing math professor and this is the second class that I have taken with him. Math is not my subject but he really has helped me understand some things that I have been confused about for years. You do actually have to do work for his class but that's to be expected from a math class. I definitely recommend him.

Professor Richardson is an AMAZING professor. The class consists of lectures (very important and informative), online homework, online quizzes, and tests. There are 3 projects that count as extra credit and are pretty easy. Professor Richardson taught all of the material so well and made statistics fun! I would highly recommend taking him.

I've been out of school for awhile so MAT 1033 was a good refresher and Mr. Richardson is a great teacher who tries to make the class interesting even if the students are dead and non responsive. Just be aware that he likes to lead down the wrong path purposefully to ensure people are actually paying attention and thinking.

I had Richardson for Intermediate Algebra. He is a good teacher overall and does want to see his students succeed. However if you do not put in countless hours of work per week you will not pass. Be ready for lots of homework, studying , and all-nighters. Not a ton of Extra Credit offered. I finished this class with a C and was just happy to pass.

The dude deserves a serious raise. He's smart about how he teaches, portrays concepts with engaging meanings, and really makes you want to learn. I never understood why people use English to teach math, but Richardson does it with spice and vigor. I've always struggled with math, but I can say for a sure fact I got at least 75% of what was taught.

He gives you hours that you can come in and see him for help and he also gives you a number that you can access him at. He is great!

Mr. Richardson always tries to make the class fun and interesting, while telling all kinds of stories while he teaches. Statistics can be a pretty dull and hard subject, but he teaches it very well and wants every one of his students to get it. I would highly recommend him for STA2023! As with any math class be prepared for lots of formulas and hw.

Dr. Richardson is a great professor when I had him for Statistics. The only reason I gave him a 3 on difficulty is because statistics is hard for me. However, he is very inviting and will answer back messages quickly, allow you to visit him in his office. He's a very kind person when I had family emergency and super understanding. Tests are easy.

Professor Richardson is fantastic when it comes to lectures, he can hold your attention and gives clear instruction on how to tackle each chapter. Homework and quizzes are all online, he also gives some projects and is very clear on what he expects out of them and gives feed back on how to improve them. Make sure to study if you plan on passing.

10/10 best teacher. Clear grading, occasional extra credit, do the HW and Quizzes online and you'll pass the Tests. Study guides for each test given before to study and teacher helps you out outside of class. Class was express, so it was fast paced, professor richardson went over every chapter before the best and always offered extra credit on MML. I would take again.

He is an amazing professor, he does his best to make lectures interesting. There are four tests and 20 WIleyPlus assignments. It's not a big work load, just do not procrastinate. There are many extra credit activities, they saved my grade. Attendance isn't a grade but you get extra credit for perfect attendance.

This Professor was AMAZING!!! He really cares about his students and wants them to pass. He is a really good teacher and will gladly stay after class to explain things to you. LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT!!! Attendance isn't mandatory, but after three classes you'll begin to incur a penalty. The biggest penalty will be missing out on the class itself. Professor Richardson is knowledgeable, charismatic, and tells some truly great stories. He also has a great style - I'm math challenged and he made Statistics easy. I HIGHLY recommend taking him!!!

He really cares about his students and wants them to pass. Towards the end of the semester after he was done lecturing he would let us work on our homework that is online and offers a lot of help. Attendance is not required but if you have perfect attendance he will give extra credit.

The exams are slightly challenging but not impossible if you do the study guide given. There is homework every class per usual for any math class.

I've taken professor Richardson for two classes now and hes amazing. He prepares his lectures in advanced so you can print them and follow along with him. He gives extra credit and is wiling to help as long as you show effort. 10/10.

He provides quite a few opportunities to receive extra credit and explains concepts with detail. His homework is directly related to his lecture, and during class he tells some personal stories to connect the lesson to real-world scenarios. He sometimes gives a lot of homework, but it's usually just enough to make sure you understand the material.

The best way I can describe Professor Richardson is that HE IS GREAT! Don't be fooled, this class is tough, and is something that should be taken with a light load of classes for the semester, this class has a lot of online homework, but it comes in handy. He prepares you to pass the exams, and he will work out a time to meet and help you.

Professor R is possibly the best professor at IRSC. He really cares about his students success. He does have you purchase an access code for WileyPlus, and the homework is a pain. Most of his test questions are based off what was covered in class, the given review sheets, and definitions found within the chapter. Study, put in the effort, get an A.

I struggle with maths. The readings, homeworks and quizzes are foreign. When you get a teacher that lectures well, the stories, examples and projects can make it come together where you get the concepts. Add funny, approachable, human and caring and listen to echo 360's and keep trying to read and by test time you will get it and be so happy.

Professor Richardson is a super chill guy, who has a pretty relaxed voice too (so beware of falling asleep in his lectures). He offers tons of extra credit... and if you attend every class you'll have a 3% bump on your final grade. Tests are all multiple choice, except for the final. Homework and quizzes due on the date set without any extensions.

A great professor! Youre allowed 1 notecard of notes on each test. Helping his students is his top priority. He breaks up the learning with very interesting stories & hes a pretty funny guy. But, If you're a rude student who likes to walk out of the classroom a lot / talk while hes teaching or leave class early this isnt the prof. for ya.

This was my second class with professor richardson, I am registered for a third over the summer, he really cares about what he teaches us in class and he even throws in a little extra to get us ready for the next class.

He's seriously a great dude. It's my second semester with him. He's a great guy. He tells amazing stories, gives extra credit, and actually cares about you as a student. The homework is just because it's freakin' college algebra. If you want someone who knows what they're doing, is accessible and willing to help you out, Richardson is your man.

He's a great professor who truly loves and has a passion for what he teaches. Online homework and quizzes are due half an hour before class. Attendance is mandatory. It goes towards your grade. Study and do your work or you will not pass this class. You have to do your part. Tests weigh about 75% of your grade.

His lectures can get a tad bit boring but he's really nice and doesn't mind going over something again if you didn't understand it. He only gave us one pop quiz but allowed us to all work together. The rest of the quizzes were done at home. He gives extra credit opportunities and the work load is not a lot if you keep up with it.

He was an incredible professor with a spectacular teaching ability coupled with the capability of entertaining the class along with his lectures. He was understanding and even dropped a test when he recognized that the test was getting strangely low numbers. The only detriment was the amount of work that the class sometimes felt was overwhelming.

Great professor, I've had Richardson twice now. once in 2016 and again in 2019. He is fast paced in comparison to others but not as fast as Rosenthal so no worries about him running out of breath after each example. Richardson is very tech savvy and wants everyone to learn to make their own study plans that work best for the individual. Take him!!!

Professor Richardson moves extremely quickly so pay attention. But he has no issues with repeating himself if needed. He's extremely patient and does not get overwhelmed or stressed out easily. He does not give grades. He gives you extra credit for perfect attendance and a few extra credit projects. But you have to do well on the test to pass.

To be clear, I'm not good with math whatsoever, and did not do amazingly in this course. That being said, Professor Richardson is quite possibly the best math teacher I've ever had. Mr Richardson has taught me to push through to the end and be successful i am struggling in his class but passing, he convinced me push through the pain and complete with a good grade. the material is hard but once you apply your self to the content you will instantly understand it. Mr. Richardson is truly an amazing professor. I have taken him for all my required math credits and every time I am so happy I did. The way he teaches actually allows you to understand him. For tests, if you study the work he did in class you'll do good (and always show your work). The homework does not match the tests at all, it's just practice.

He is a really good professor and the class is not hard as long as you follow along. Lectures are recorded and posted on BB so you can review them whenever you want. The tests are like the homework. He is funny and relates stories to his explanations.

A good teacher that gives lots of homework to complete, the homework is necessary because this class is quite challenging. His lectures are good and he tries to make as easy as possible by providing examples and different way to compete problems. His tests are not challenging you just have to make sure to go over all the reviews. Would take again.

This was my first time taking Mr. Richardson's class, but he is by far one of my favorite professors that I've had so far. This class is pretty intense, but with him as a teacher the class is much easier. He is very understating and extremely helpful. When I say attendance is mandatory, it was 3% of your grade. Easy homework and quizzes and as long as you pay at attention in class, the test's will be easy. EC!

Professor Richardson taught me not only how to be a better statistician, he also taught me how to think more proficiently. He is the most well spoken professor I have ever been taught by. He does the problems up on the board (which is linked to his computer.) and in doing so shows very clearly how to correctly use the scientific calculator.

Daniel Richardson was one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is one of the only teachers that actually care about the students. His Lectures are great! Super thorough explanations, good examples. He is also very funny and he likes to teach which makes it more enjoyable. If you show and take notes, do the study guide and the homework, you'll be fine. Essentially DO THE WORK and you'll be solid!

Gives an amazing lecture and makes sure you understand the material. He will go out of your way to make sure you understand. All quizzes are online but all tests are in class and none are fill in the blank. It is an easy class if you take time out to really understand it.

Nice guy, really funny but no one laughs at his jokes. Gets on tangents for a while that I don't always understand how it relates back. Sometimes he will talk about something for like 15 min and then say you don't need that, Lots of office hours, and records lectures so you can listen but extra credit for perfect attendance.

There are opportunities for extra credit, and his lecture videos and supplemental materials are very helpful. The material is difficult, but if you spend lots of time studying the textbook the tests are easy.

He is a really great professor. Being online is hard, but he recorded lectures that cover each chapter, and gave tons of resources. I took this course over the summer, so it was meant to go fast, but there is only 1 homework and 1 quiz for each chapter, and the quizzes give 3 chances per question. Make sure to study for tests, they are worth a lot.

He is a very clear spoken professor, but will definitely make you work for the grade you want. His communication skills are great, just make sure you communicate effectively and efficiently or else his help becomes limited. He does offer extra credit but will not repeat himself about it. I enjoyed this professor because he gave multiple opportunities to raise your grade. You had ample time to get the assignments done and it was not overwhelming. The quizzes are retakeable with no limit and the tests are on the same platform so that you can get used to how the questions are asked.

Also, if you ask a question that was answered in a lecture before and you forgot what it was he'll answer in a condescending tone??? A simple yes or no works. I'd appreciate him working on that for future students.
