His midterm and final are based on the notes that you take in class, we don't really use the textbook but he does assign readings. I thought he was a really good teacher and he kept class going, his papers are also very easy. He is very nice and cute.

His lectures are boring but there are only 2 tests which are the midterm and final and all the notes he gives are exactly what is to be expected on them. Readings are also expected to be done and there's not a lot so easy A.

A very good professor. His lectures are very interesting. You never get bored in class. As long as you pay attention in class, take good notes (as he advices to do so on the first day)youll be fine on the tests. Just review the notes the night before the test. The class is very helpful, and I recommend everyone to take this class.

I really enjoyed this class! Prof Santore is pretty great, he's still young so his lectures aren't boring, they're quite interesting. His tests are a little hard, for some reason I was never able to get a good grade but maybe that's because it required a lot of out of the box thinking. 3 exams, 2 papers. THAT'S IT. He does assign readings almost every class, but doesn't check if you have read. I did all the readings & found them to be very helpful, however not mandatory to learn. Without taking great notes, I wouldn't pass this class. Write the terms HE says, he wants you to write very closely related to what he lectures.

I absolutely loved Dr. Santore for Soc 100! If you take his class, here are some tips: -Do NOT skip class, he doesn't post any lectures on my MC -Write down everything and make sure to MEMORIZE your notes! -You'll need the book, but not too much. -Tests are a big part of your grades, and there are only 3, so make sure you know the materials!

Great professor! Fair grader. Young, friendly and passionate about his subject. He makes his curriculum very interesting, lots of exciting movies. Only 3 exams and 2 papers, so you really got to study. In the beginning of the semester, he gave out a pre exam that wasn't graded. It really helped the class get a feel for what the exams would be like.

Worst class I took so far. cracks some jokes, but not so funny. Sociology shouldn't be this hard to pass, but he makes it. If you do not study you will fail the class(common sense). It's his way or no way when grading. He has his favorite students. Which sometimes influence who he picks on and your grades. Honestly.

BEST TEACHER EVER! His lectures are always fun and it's never boring. The key to successfully passing his class is to ATTEND each lesson and WRITE NOTES! Everything he mentions in class or talks about are basically your cheat towards earning an A in his class. The book doesn't get used often and it's not all that important. Remember to take notes!

Professor Santore's way of teaching is lecture based. As long as your there every class writing down all the notes he writes down you will pass. There are only 3 tests and 2 writing assignments the whole semester which makes it impossible to slack. As long as you take good notes and study for the tests you will pass.

The professor is nice and funny in general. Every class consisted of note-taking so it was very chill. Only 2 papers & 3 tests. The test hold a majority of your grade so if you do bad on one, it could drop your grade badly. Overall, very chill class, not too much work. Passed with a B.

I was very nervous when I started sociology class. After a couple of sessions in Dr. Santore's class, I felt so much more confident. He is a wonderful lecturer and I have to say he got me interested in sociology. He is so fair, respects all,likes the students to participate in class. Great class which you are not penalized if you know nothing about sports, but it does help if you have some ties to sports. 3 exams and 1 written paper. Make sure you go over your paper with him before you turn it in, it's an easy chance to boost your grade. In class group work for extra credit points towards your exams. Funny, insightful professor

take this professor! he's very kind, always in a good mood very careful of what he says and how he treats his students. the class was very easy just copy whatever he types up on he board and memorize your notes for the exam and you'll get 100%. he always asks questions that get the class thinking and makes it so anything you say is a correct answer

Sociology with Professor Santore was a fun class and a easy A. You are only graded on the 3 tests and 2 papers but there is some extra credit offered in class. Go into see him before you turn in your papers because he will help you get A! I would definately take him again.

Best teacher that I ever had! Always gives you time to copy down the notes that he puts up (most of the notes are on the test). Dont really have to read but it is good to do it. Class discussions are funny too!

The class is lecture based, but there is room for discussion which is nice. It's easy to stay focused and active in the class and so long as you participate, you'll do just fine.

Professor Santore is a pretty cool guy. He doesn't post notes on blackboard & you shouldn't miss any classes because notes won't make sense without the lecture. You have to work for your grade & read the textbook. Sometimes the exams can have some tricky questions but you should be fine if you study. Some extra credit opportunities.

Great professor as long as you take notes and pay attention to lectures. He is great at giving feedback on things you do not understand. Make sure to take a lot of notes !! Everything that he types you should copy it down because it will most likely be on the exams. Over all he is a very sweet and caring teacher and if you need help he will be there to help and gives great feedback. Exams will be hard if you do not take studying seriously. He's a great prof, class won't be boring !

I really enjoyed his class from the beginning until the very end. You must show up and write down everything he types up on the board in your notes. For exams, study the notes you took and the handouts he gives out. He gives out 4 tests and 1 essay. Attend his exam reviews and use his study guides and you should be absolutely fine.

I really enjoy this class. This class is a good class if want an A just by paying attention and doing a little studying. For me this class did not challenge me at all. I love Santore and would take a class with him if the material were more dense and the course was a little more challenging. Still a great class to get an easy A/B

He is a good professor. You have to go to class tho. Everything for the test is on his PowerPoint. He doesnt post the PowerPoint to blackboard so u have to write everything down & actually go to class. He wants us to read the textbook but I didnt even open it and still got an A.

Prof. Santore is a Good professor. Although, he can be a little unreasonable w/ grading tests and is less lenient than I would like. Study your notes and read at least parts of the assigned that will be on the tests (he tells you what the test will cover) and you will be fine!

An easy A with Prof. Santore. The final grade is mostly made up of 2 papers and 2 exams. Study guides are provided for exams. Most of the exam is from lecture material (which are not posted on BB) so don't miss class! Study guides tell you what parts in the book to read for the exam- I bought the book but never read those parts and still got an A.

Prof. Santore is always well-prepared. You can be absent for 3 classes and it will not count against you. There are 2 easy quick guarenteed A papers and three tests. If you study the in class notes you are guarenteed to do well. Every class he lectures and types notes on a microsoft document. He is very clear and concise (and maybe a tad slow).

One of the best professors I've had. Makes lectures fun and engaging, and is always happy to answer questions. Just make sure you take lots of notes. You're only graded on three exams and two writing prompts, but you're given 5 prompts to choose from, so try to get them done right away instead of procrastinating on the later ones like I did.

I took his class online, and I have to say he did a fantastic job! Everything is laid out clearly on Blackboard and you will really have a good time in his class granted you read the necessary material and do the work! However, make sure you do things properly since he actually reads your work and gives the appropriate feedback.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! This class was a breeze, no homework or quizzes, just 3 tests and 2 writing assignments all outside of class! We even get 24 hour open note exams! No participation needed but encouraged! Didn't even need to show up to class because he posted cloud recordings of the ZOOM calls! I wish he could teach every subject. TAKE HIM!!!!

Took his class as distant learning. Really easy class. Had discussions, 2 each week and sometimes did small writing assignments for other weeks. 2 papers, really easy to do. Quizzes every week. Gives a lot of time to do quizzes and exams. He also responds quickly to emails. Easy class, I definitely recommend taking him.

His lectures are fun and entertaining. He only gives out 2 short essays and three exams to grade along with some extra credit assignments. The exams aren't hard if you pay attention and watch the films he tells you to watch and we watch some of them in class. He also sometimes cut class short when it was a snow day. He is the best Professor I had.

Professor Santore is great and would definitely recommend anyone who wants to take sociology 100. He has amazing lectures filled with great examples, funny stories, and participation so it is a great time. Group assignments are great since it requires participation with relatively easy questions and he gives plenty of time to complete the work.

Great class, we only had three exams and the final wasn't cumulative which was very nice! He covers the topics very well, but you do have to read a good degree. We had one final paper and he offered help to those who needed it. We also had three really easy, done in two-day group projects, and he offered extra credit for one.

LOVED HIS CLASS !! Even though it was a 243 course he explained things very well and it was very easy to understand!!! I hope I get the chance to have him as a teacher again for another course. ONLY thing I would say is he takes a long time to respond to messages. But everything else was AMAZING

His class was the best. He engages well with the students, and I always have a good time in that class. The group projects are a bit bogus, but besides that, it's a very organized class. We go over some things in the textbook, as well as reading articles. Only thing is that he does not post his notes, so have a buddy to rely on if you miss a day.

He's pretty chill, just pay attention. We didn't refer to the textbook too much to be honest, I stopped reading the pages after the 1st month and still got an A.

HE'S AMAZING! Lectures are engaging, thought provoking & interesting. He doesn't read straight off the textbook but you'll need some knowledge from it for exams. 3 open book exams are a combo of multiple choice & short essays, he provides review sheets. Taking notes off his lectures is a MUST. No HW, 1 paper and there are 3-4 group assignments.

Had him for the spring semester--very casual and clear in what is needed and discussed. Not that many papers or assignments. Only around 3-4 quizzes based off of textbook readings, but it's simple to understand. Very detailed and explains concepts well during lectures. Always open to answer questions and answers pretty quick to emails.

I took the summer remote class, and the professor teaches very well. If you're like me and don't enjoy reading the textbook, I recommend taking good notes during the lectures. The class includes just two exams (with multiple-choice and short-answer questions) and 3–4 easy group projects.

Dr. Santore is honestly one of the best professor's I've ever had. His lectures are extremely dynamic (he engages with the whole class) and his explanations are extremely clear. As long as you participate, read, PAY ATTENTION to the lectures, and know how to write and express your thoughts, you will be good. 10/10.
