Very enguaging, had great ways of explaining arguments and truth claims. I think he's Christian, but did a very good job presenting other world views. He was only part time when I took him though, so it may be hard to choose him by name.

not the easiest subject to grasp, but the teacher is very helpfull

he was preety cool. the class was really easy. leactures were pretty boring. the quizes and test werent to hard if you came to class.

A lot of papers to write but just as long as you give your opinion and back it up with the readings you will get a good grade. He's fair, he responds to emails pretty quickly and he will give you clarifications and feedback of assignments. He also let me into this class after it was full which was very nice.

This man is a genius. He's super smart but talks to you on ur level. He's a strong Christian but doesn't teach from the right wing like most do. He really makes you think and is always willing to help. Plus his papers are graded very easily. I'd love to have him again.

This guy is great! Good looking too. Don't buy book. Lots of handouts. Couple of quizes, no final, only hw is one 2page paper each chapter. Gives xtra point for attending class. He lectures the whole class and it gets confusing but take minor notes and include them in your paper, easy A if you attend class and do the little bit of work there is.

This guy is very easy going and laid back. Really knows his sh*t and will let you know when your wrong but still respects you. Lectures the whole time but engages greatly loves having students' input. Easy, short answer tests and 2page papers on each chapter. That's all.

He is an amazing prof. and keeps students engaged with the topics discussed. There are many short papers. I thought his class was an easy A.

good teacher... i wud recomend him even though i got B in is class instead of an A...but i guess that was my own fault... enjoys talking about stuff...anything...likes the participation and input of the class although he has a few of his own

Great Prof. He gave out so much extra credit I recieved a 112% in the class! He basically spells the tests out for you, makes a very hard topic very easy to understand. I would definitly take this prof. again!

He does talk in circles and ramble on, but if you're willing to look up extra info outside of class to help clarify what he said, you'll do fine. Papers are easy, tests are easy, attendance is counted.

Funny / clever guy and made the work much simpler than the textbook, his notes and handouts were all over the place but it wasn't too hard

Steele is very understanding. When i came to that class i was so lost in what philosphy truly is and he made it more clear with every class. Before each test, he clearly went over every single detail that you have to know. Have to write 3 papers for his class, 3 pages each

Okay, first of all Mr. Steele has that George Clooney thing going on :)) But besides that his class is very easy, he is very friendly and I enjoy going to his class.

Professor Steele is an extremely easy teacher. He is very helpful and goes out of his way to help his students get good grades. He is not the most interesting teacher, but he pretty much tells you what's on the test and/or what to write on your papers.

GREATEST TEACHER EVER! He isn't super easy or lenient, but if you follow his instruction, you should have no problem getting an A in his class. This guy is a great teacher and a freaking genious.

Very witty interesting guy. Awesome stories. I could listen to him all day. Tests and assignments were easy. He can be mocking but its only because people don't think before they speak. Class discussions were great. He also creates the template for your own philosophy and details its logic. learned a lot.

A VERY WONDERFUL TEACHER! TEACHES GREAT! HAS A LOT OF SENSE OF HUMOR! REAL EASY IN GIVING TESTS ... GIVES OUT ALL THE INFORMATION ...makes u do assignments but they are really easy...i would totally recommend everyone who wants to take philosophy 1100 to take this guy!

Dan Steele is really cool. He likes to laugh and joke with the class as he's teaching. He does assign hw and as long as you get to the point about what your saying, that's all he cares about. He also tells you whats going to be on the tests. His tests are not hard, just look over your handouts. I highly recommend him. Oh an he's also kind of cute.

He is the best teacher I have ever had in my life! He is funny, highly intelligent, nonbiest, honest, great to listen to, never chose favorites, and really made me want to be there. I got over 130% in Philosophy and Ethics with him because the assignments made sense and were simple. Take any class you can with this guy! He is the best!!!!!!!!!

This class the easiest A you ever get. He tells every thing that is on the test and papers.You learn alot about yourself. There is no book.

No textbook. Eager to help students out. Homework is easy [if you go to class]. Strives to explain topics. Uses humor to keep class attention.

Mr. Steele is a very helpful and understanding teacher. If you show up to class and pay attention during lectures, it would be very hard to get anything below a "B". He takes off A LOT of points if you do not show up to class, papers are usually very short. Best if you take the 8 week class, you will understand more and submit less work.

Long lectures but you learn a lot. He is helpful with any questions you may have. I had a hard time understanding the class and the information because i didn't know anything about ethics. He helped me throughout the class on improving papers and i did. I recommend taking his 8 week. Should attend all classes for notes but his classes end early!!

Don't take his class if you plan on missing more than 3 classes because he will deduct major points. Class was interesting, but he focused more on religion then ethics in general. I didn't take intro to religion for a reason. Nice guy, but I didn't really enjoy the class.

Went to every lecture class and was able to get full points for the papers. If you attend his classes, you'll be able to understand what he's looking for in the papers. He doesn't use the textbook which helped save money since I took it over the summer and because it was an intro level class.

He is an amazing teacher I took his 8 week course and I can honestly say it was easy and interesting. He will not bore you and is always available for help! He is very nice and smart. I highly recommend him.

Dan is a cool guy, but as a teacher he misses the mark. Unless you're Christian he will find a way to insult your worldview. There was only one 20 pt quiz and four papers. The papers are hilariously easy. All you have to do is write down what he says during lectures, reword it, put in quotes from outside sources (which he gives you), and done. A+.

You do not use the textbook whatsoever. If you want to pass, showing up for class is a must. 3 tests (no final). 3 papers -- show you were in class and it's an easy A. He tried really hard to not make it confusing by giving relatable examples/visualizations on the board. Take this class if you are hoping to boost your GPA, but show up.

Great professor! Show up to class, take notes, and you will pass. Tells you everything you need to know for the test. He is a really nice guy and is a great teacher. I highly recommended him if you are a HARDWORKER. All the people who say bad things about him are those kids who never show up to class and don't take notes.

Steele is a nice guy, but not a very good teacher. He answers questions with questions, and can be quite confusing. Though, his class is very easy since he gives you the answers to the papers and quizzes! He does take attendance, so you have to show up or it will tank your grade! Also, there is no need to buy a textbook!

Cares about his students. Few assignments/papers, and if you take notes/study to a reasonable degree you will do welll on tests. He is funny, nice, and willing to take time to provide clarity to any confusion over the material. I respectfully disagree with his political beliefs, but for the most part he keeps them to himself. I would recommend him.

He's a good teacher, but get off topic easily. test are based off the notes, so if you take good notes and listen you will do fine in his class

Steele's ruthless! - He's very practical and very blunt, which is why he's perfect for an Ethics class. That being said, if you're somebody that gets offended easily then don't take his class. (Like I said, he's ruthless.) Personally, I felt did a little bit to much on religion, but overall very good class! (Attendance is mandatory!)

Professor Steele, was a pretty awesome professor, there was no midterm or final for this course but his papers were tough. He is very helpful and he respect his students opinions about things. He gives out a lot of extra credit. The only downside of him is he takes a while to return emails. Other than that he is a solid teacher.

He's very blunt, but pretty cool and laid back. If you're willing to talk to him, he'll be more than happy to help you understand the topics/give you feedback on assignments. While you don't need to show up to class, it'll definitely help with your grade and understanding the material.

Great Professor, very funny. Make sure you go to class, he helps you write the papers. He tells you what to write/ how to write your paper which is great if you actually go to lecture and pay attention. The class was fast paced. Papers are kind of difficult and require a lot of time and critical thinking.

He is a good teacher, he is very passionate about what he teaches, but the lectures can be very difficult to understand if you aren't a philosophy major. Class is based on two exams and four papers. Gives extra credit opportunities every now & then. If you show him that you took the time to go over notes in blackboard and tried, he will give credit

Easily my favorite teacher for this semester. Loved everything he did for my philo class. No textbook, but a lot of BB material. Most importantly, he teaches students to think and it's very valuable and important in all fields and courses. Few tests, more papers. You have to understand the topics and forge your ideas on em. Make em coherent.

A lot of lecturing. My religion class had one test and 6 papers, and those were the only grades. He is a pretty easy grader. However, he seems pretty unprepared for class most of the time. Also don't email him for help he won't respond. Talk to him after class. Solid choice though.

Steele is extremely passionate about Philosophy and Religion classes. He has a mandatory attendance policy which sucks but he makes lecture go by fast. The class has evolved since my gf took him but it was even easier, there were 3 tests and originally 3 papers but it ended up being 2 papers as he combined the last two sections. Show up for easy A.

Steele is an amazing professor. I took his summer class. There was one test, which he gives you all the questions to the test. After that there are a few papers that you have to write but he gives you an outline and exactly what he is looking for. I would love to take another one of his classes.

Professor Steele is very straight to the point. One test and 3 papers. Show up to class and he discusses exactly what was going to be on the test and what he is looking for in your papers. No book to purchase either.

I had Steele for both Relig-1100 and Philo-1110. There is a reason I took him again, if you show up and take half decent notes there is no reason you shouldn't get an A. He only gave one test in Religions and 5 or 6 papers but you get a couple of weeks to do them and use BB material to make sure they are correct. Great teacher, offers EC sometimes.

Professor Steele is a great guy. He goes over everything you need to know for tests/papers in class and goes into great detail about them. The topics covered are very tough to grasp, but it gets easier as you go. There are 2 tests and 3 papers planned (and thats all the points of the semester). In my class though, he changed a test into a paper

Very nice professor. He is spot on with interpretations and teachings of the Bible - I learned a lot from his class. Lecture tests/unit papers are easy if you come to class and pay attention. I wish more college professors were like Mr. Steele.

Wonderful teacher! Fairly easy class for me, but a 4-page average paper was required each week. If writing is not an issue, then you will pass this class with ease.

Professor Steele is an amazing professor! I took him for intro to religion this summer, and it is a super easy class. He only assigns a 3-4 pg essay paper on the units every other week. You must have MLA format mastered and answers the essay prompts to pass easily.

Each week you have a paper to write, usually page 1.5 or 2 pages. If you have good comprehension skills the papers are easy to write. You only have papers, no quizzes or tests. He doesn't grade hard unless it's late he will take off points. This class was very interesting and I learned a lot. Easy class if you can keep up with due dates.

If you are looking to take this course for just a credit I recommend! Very straight forward class and professor. He is really nice and not strict on anything. 2 page assignment every other week for homework and that's it. No quizzes, or exams. Show up to class and do your assignments. Easy A.
