Excellent prof. Your head will hurt after some of the more esoteric lectures. Knows his stuff! Took him a year ago. Some things he predicted are happening now. Put an effort into his projects and you'll get a lot out of it. Looking forward to the next class with him.

this class is so interesting! but really hard. after your first exam you will walk out of the room and wonder what the hell just happened and know that studying didnt help. it is also a depressing class because the future world outlook is so grim. but sullivan is an awesome guy, so overall the class is great

Absolutely loved this class! I've never had a class more relevant to real life and that applied to me in all four years. He's Dr. Doomsday with globalization but its freakishly true and is worth every penny of your tuition dollar. I actually felt like I learned something. Just go to class and pay attention and you'll do well, easily.

The class is very interesting. He explains things well and really lets you know what's happening in the world today. The material can be depressing at times, but it is completely relevant to life. He drops the lowest of your 3 tests grades, and gives 5 points extra credit for each exam if you write a test question that he uses.

I loved this class. He made everyday interesting and discussed topics I knew nothing about and made them interesting. His tests are fair and not overly difficult. If you attend the class you will get a good grade. By far my most interesting class so far in college. Sullivan is great!

Even though I took this as an online course it was very interactive and enjoyable. You are able to participate in multiple discussion boards which allow you to really expand on your ideas. If you need to fulfill a business class, take this online class. It is easy if you just do the work and participate.

I took this class online so the setup was different but Dr. Sullivan might be one of the smartest guys I've come across. This class was a lot of work, but very interesting. Dr. Sullivan is a very intelligent man, very helpful, grades fairly, and really wants to see everyone succeed. He allows you to pick certain assignments over others and offers retakes so you can get a good grade and no formal proctored exams (I took it online).

Great guy, class was slightly confusing at first but made sense once we got into the swing of things. Half is in class, half is through Canvas/Mylab. If you don't enjoy working on your own time or doing a lot of assignments, don't take this class. Otherwise, awesome view of the world and very fascinating professor.

Awesome professor for a cool class. Really gives you a new perspective on the world! In class discussions are always interesting usually with group work. Lots of work online but it is usually interesting especially if you are willing to put the time in. Over 50% of the class got an A- or A, so definitely doable for a 300 level class!

Loved this class and the professor. Very interesting topic, and Sullivan was funny and helpful throughout the semester. It is a lot of online work on the side but as a hybrid class we did not have class every day. Easy to do well. I strongly recommend both this class and the professor. It convinced me to go to grad school for international business

Awesome man-The class is a hybrid structure, so some is online some is in class. His lectures are interesting, the workload consists of online assignments with the ability to redo quizzes to increase your grade. Two powerpoint assignments and group work in class. Definitely a class you should take if interested in the implications of globalization

The workload in the course was extensive, however since the due dates were clearly explained from day one, there was more than sufficient time to complete the assignments. The class has a very humanist and almost fatalist outlook on the world, but is interesting nonetheless. The professor is willing to help and his sense of humor makes the class A+

Great guy-Class was always a good time as he brought humor to the class. Really enjoyed the hybrid class where we would go over things in class and do team assignments. While online work took awhile, I really learned a lot. You really do have control of your grade and you do learn a great deal from taking a class in this way. Definitely take him!

Professor Sullivan was by far the best professor I've had at UD. His hybrid style class allowed me to really master the material. You were allowed to retake tests and there were no in class exams which alleviated the pressure that midterms and finals have. His lectures are extremely interesting and you can learn a lot from him. Definitely take him!

Professor Sullivan's BUAD384 class is pretty good. It's a hybrid class so it is taught a little differently. He separates class time between in class and online which was really cool. The material is pretty easy. A lot of group assignments in class though that count for credit towards your grade so it helps to go to class.

Great teacher is reasonable and understanding if you have a conflict with an assignment and need to turn it in later if you are generally prompt with previous assignment submission. Great class, straight forward just need to put in the time and effort and you will be successful.

Professor Sullivan is a great guy. Enjoys teaching and is very funny. This class is a hybrid class so there are no in class exams or quizzes. All of those are on Canvas and are per chapter (no big exams). He does in class participation group quizzes. A lot of small assignments make it time consuming but only affect a small percentage of your grade.

The course requirements are fairly clear in the syllabus and class deadline schedule. But, some of the assignment descriptions are confusing. Ask questions! Professor Sullivan was easy to talk to and answered any questions that I sent over. If you put in the time and work, you will do well in this course.

This is a heads down online course. The materials are clear, the workload distributed and while there are "assignments galore", which may seem overwhelming at first, they are quite manageable and really help the learning experience. You really would need to put in a lot of effort to fail this class, it is designed to help you succeed.

A cool hybrid class that is half in class and half online. Very inspirational lectures that leave you wanting more. A lot of real world topics. Most of the grade is based upon online simulations and quizzes that are difficult but can be retaken up to 4 times. Hilarious professor. Overall my favorite class at UD.

Excellent Professor.

As this was an online course we didn't have formal lectures. There was a great variety of activities so that if a student is weak in one type of activity, the others allow for overall performance improvement. Feedback, when requested, was spot on. Built in feedback for online quizzes was terrific.

Great material to learn. I have never had a class so useful beyond collage. I use the paperrater suggested in the class out side of the class. Such a great tool. This class has caused a fundamental change on how I look at my career. Highly recommended, specially if it is offered in person. I have heard in person class is even better than online.

This is the type of class that every person should be taking in college. I think that I learned more in this class than any other class I've taken at UD (I'm a senior). I get a lot of anxiety taking tests so this class is PERFECT when it comes to tests. You get many chances to retake them and you actually really learn from it. Take this class!

Fun class

Pretty easy class overall, and he is fair about the workload. Quizzes are annoying but since you can take them more than once, you really make your own grade. Your grade is up to you. Also, lectures are interesting since there is no pressure because there are no exams.

Truly a new-age professor. He analyzes every aspect of the course to get the most out of students. Seemed unafraid to challenge preconceived notions of how class should operate by changing the course structure mid-semester. Offered many assignments and opportunities to increase grade standing. Gave me glowing comments on discussions and projects.

This professor is the first one I've found that really embraces what the online learning environment can bring. He assesses the performance of all of the different kinds of assignments and even is willing to change their weight and importance throughout. He's also very clear in what he wants, and his comments are always spot on. I'd take it again.

Dr. Sullivan is a transformational educator. His course introduction defines his introspective commitment to learning and to his students. Without a doubt the most thought out and executed course I have ever taken. I recommend Dr. Sullivan with reservation.

Found the class content to be interesting. Syllabus and assignment directions were all 1000 pages long for no reason. Professor likes to use a lot of "flowery" language to get his point across.

The best advice that I could ever give is not to be intimidated by the lengthy and complicated-looking course syllabus - the workload required was actually very manageable and the content was enjoyable! Prof is very responsive to students' feedback. Extra credits for making questions - I ended up with more than 104% towards the end of the course.

Everything is online. Class was amazing! At first the syllabus is a little overwhelming but once you get the hang of it everything goes by smoothly. Multiple chances to bring your grade up, extra credit and great feedback! Super easy if you follow the syllabus. Would take again in a heartbeat!

This class was the most interesting class I have taken here at UD. Dr. Sullivan is quick at answering his emails, and clarifies anything you may be concerned about. Professor Sullivan works extremely hard to utilize all the tools of the online world to make his class interactive. This will not be simply a bunch of youtubed lectures but a bunch of embedded videos and shorter readings with an interactive text book. Dr. Sullivan also feels strongly about a non-linear course flow without penalty for lateness.

Good course and nice professor. We have the opportunity to retake the exam, so we do not need to worry about the grade; however, it will take longer than almost any other course. If you have a very good verbal skill, strongly recommend this course.

Took online. Received answers to questions raised almost immediately. The first impression of reading the course assignments and quizzes would make you faint, but soon realized that all you need is to be consistent and you will come out with flying colors. There are a lot of assignments, don't let the syllabus deter you when you initially start the class. You have to break it down by week and by assignment and take it one assignmenttest at a time and can work ahead if you want. The ability to retake test several time really gives you the ability to learn the subject matter and obtain a higher score

Sullivan is a really smart guy and wants his students to succeed. Class is set up so you can retake quizzes and assignments you did bad on to boost your grade. We met once a week for lectures and they were always interesting. He really knows his stuff. Expect a lot of assignments, but the workload isn't bad once you get used to it. Take this class!

I took Globalization and Business by Daniel Sullivan. I thought the material was great. There are test you have to take on each chapter. You can take it again if you're not happy with your score. This almost forces you to become and expert. I enjoyed the material and the format. I would highly recommend this class and professor to anyone

This is perhaps the best class I have ever taken. Expect to work but in return expect an inspirational learning experience in which you have control over your learning. I would recommend this class highly. The avenues of learning are so well laid out and the student has numerous opportunities to expand upon learning and in turn improve a grade.

The class is an easy A if you show up to class and do all the assignments. This class is a hybrid class so there are days you're in class for lectures and some days you can do all your work online. The professor might be a bit sarcastic but what he have to said is pretty interesting. Definitely a class that I would recommend others to take. .

I think this online session could be a hot classes at UD. It's not difficult to get A, as long as you willing to spend more time on the course. I think I spend more than 3 hours on the course daily average. You also can get some cool idea from the discussion part. It one of my favorite classy.

Probably one of the best professors in UD. Very useful materials. Most of the quizzes are based on the posted videos so as long as you watch first and hen take the quizzes you should be fine. It is not hard to get an A.

I learned so much in this class. The professor allows you to retake test typically between 4-5 times, with changing questions. This has really taught me a lot of the material as well as earn a good grade in the class. I would love to take another class of his.

I had him for an online class, and I wish I could take more online classes from Dr. Sullivan. He puts forth so much time and effort into preparing an instructive, fun and relaxed class that, if you put in the effort, will greatly benefit you. I loved both the material and set-up for the class. The MyLab is the only part of the class not run through Canvas, which made planning and organizing my coursework very easy. As for the content, the readings and quizzes were all on interesting and important topics. Dr. Sullivan was always available for questions and concerns.

Highly recommend this class. He has everything outlined on canvas arranged by by due date so its very easy to stay caught up. You can retake quizzes and keep the best score (even after the quiz due date, as long as you took the quiz at least once before it was due). You would have to pay no attention at all to this class to do poorly.

This is an online class designed as an online class. Professor Sullivan has a unique philosophy and designs the course with the students interests in mind. He lets you do assignments at your own pace. Workload seems daunting at first, but once you start, it is very straightforward.

Initially, the extremely long list of assignments can be a turn off and send some people running away from the class. However, the content is very good and you actually do learn a lot. You have multiple attempts to retake a quiz, so this reduces the stress level one may experience. I also liked the fact that I could work at my own pace.

This class has a significant amount of work but expectations are clear and the content is exceptional -- learned a lot and video segments were great. Since you can retake quizzes to improve your grade there is no reason not to get an A if you put in the work.

Dr. Sullivan is a great professor. He makes you think outside the box. Be prepared to feel overwhelmed the first week - there are a lot of online assignments that are due throughout the semester, but you can do them ahead of time, and theoretically finish the class in the first 2 weeks if you're ambitious. Absolutely take this class with this professor. The grading criteria is straightforward and you can complete everything at your own pace. Because I had an internship over the summer, I was able to finish most of the course within the first two weeks. You genuinely learn the material in the way the class is presented and look forward to doing it.

I had some serious technical difficulties in gaining access to MyLab; I fell way behind, missing tests and quizzes. I informed Professor Sullivan of the issues I was having; he worked tirelessly to help me gain access to the assignments. He extended the course for me and allowed me the time I needed to complete the assignments. He's awesome!

There was only one class that I sincerely looked forward to attending throughout the semester, and it was professor Sullivan's. He created an engaging learning environment, which brought even the quieter kids out of their shells. Class flexibility, can work through the class as fast as you want. Interesting material, with multimedia. No big group projects. Can retake quizzes to achieve optimal grade. Calendar deadline of assignments helps to keep on track. One of the best online classes I experienced, other professors should take note of online methodology.

Sullivan is great. He offers a lot of material but the course was online and he wanted you to have options for studying so you can kind of pick what works for you. Really nice guy and would definitely take a class with him again.

This is a well thought out and engaging course with a modern online format. Everything is available from day one, and the students are largely able to complete the course at their own pace. That said, this course is no cake-walk. Assignments are plentiful and initially will seem daunting, but are ultimately manageable.

I took this class online during summer session and it was one of my favorite classes. I loved the way that he formatted the class. You had a lot of little quizzes and activities instead of 3 or 4 big tests and you had as many attempts as you needed to get the grade you wanted. I learned a lot from this class and would definitely recommend taking it

I recommend taking the class online. Very interesting class. The professor always gave feedback on assignments. There were multiple little quizzes you had to take with more than one attempt. Learned a lot and thought the class structure was clear, organized and helpful. It's worth taking!

This is the best thing I decided to do this summer. Professor's class is unlike anything I've done before and it was an great class experience and the stress free learning environment that he has so dedicatedly and intricately created. I have really enjoyed learning about globalization through this course. Being able to re-take quizzes encouraged achieve the best grade possible to show my mastery of the content as well as allowed me to manage my time. I also enjoyed analyzing the different maps and and being able to read what my peers posted and how they analyzed the content.

My favorite class in the MBA program so far! I am not a strong test taker and can get test anxiety, so the option to retake quizzes made things much more manageable for me and also helped me learn the material better since I wasn't just studying to take an exam, I was actually learning it. It is the first time that I take the hybrid class. From the beginning, I was confused and reluctant to take the hybrid class since I choose the full-time study here. However, personal perspective was changed after the class. I enjoy learning with the professor in the class because I did benefit from it.

This class was awesome! It was a blended online and in class course and it was a great class that was very relaxed. It's made up of canvas assignments that you can complete at your own pace. Really interesting material to learn from a funny professor. Definitely a great international elective for Lerner students!

When I first looked at the syllabus, I was worried by the number of assignments. As I started working through them, I found them less daunting. They don't take a huge amount of time and are appropriately challenging. I was pleasantly surprised by this course. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

I took this class online over the winter semester. I loved it! lots of quizzes but you have multiple attempts to do them Topic is very interesting and the posted videos are helpful to understand the material Teacher is nice and helpful if you show effort

I took this class over the summer for my international requirement, and I am so glad I did! Not only was this class actually interesting, but Dr. Sullivan is incredibly caring... he actually wants to see you do well! Stay on top of your assignments (no exams) and you're golden... and if you need help he is there to assist you! Loved it!!

Took BUAD384 and BUAD386 at the same time online during winter. Definitely recommend - the workload is totally manageable and you use the same book for both. No exams makes these classes great. Just stay on top of the assignments and retake them to get a better grade. Prof. Sullivan is super fast at communication and wants you to succeed.

I never had a professor care so much about student learning. This class is structured unlike anything I've taken before, with the option to redo assignments/quizzes and boost your grade. The result is truly learning the topic, rather than just learning to the test. I've never learned so much in a short period of time. Wish more profs were like him!

Professor Sullivan is a great professor. I had with them in BUAD811, BUAD848 and BUAD878. My experience is as long as you do everything ahead of time putting some efforts , you should get an A. The classes are super flexible you could finish your assignments at any time during semester.

I took his online summer class which was an easy A. Lots of small assignments and an optional final. You would have to try hard not to do well in this class. He had no lectures, instead lots of videos and readings.

I have taken this professor twice (by choice!) because he is so great. Even though his classes are pretty easy, they teach you quite a lot. I highly recommend him, you won't regret it!

Sullivan is an amazing professor for this course. The entire class was asynchronous and he did an amazing job at grading things quickly. He is a very easy grader and the course had many assignments, but they were easy and you had unlimited attempts on everything (including quizzes). The syllabus is crazy but once you get going it's really easy.

I took BUAD384 and 386 together over summer session. The amount of assignments were ridiculous so make sure you get a head start on them. You are able to retake quizzes and other assignments over again with different questions each time. No live lectures, just readings and videos. I would not take him again because I can't learn w/o instruction.

I took 3 classes with him before and all passed with an A. His feedback will be long. The assignments seem a lot but he is an easy grader if you put effort in it. He is pretty chill though.

I took 3 of professor Sullivan's courses in my MSIB degree and they were all very thoughtfully designed. His philosophy is to assign lots of small tasks to achieve a good grade. The modules can be a little confusing so take your time to look through them and Professor Sullivan is an amazing communicator if you have any questions.
