teacher very nice and helpful but boring class

This class was so boring. It was dull and Taylor's voice didnt help. he is very monotone....and class just drags!! He was really helpful when it came to studying for the test and he was always willing to meet if you were having trouble in class. if you go to the study groups before the test, the test is sooo easy!

Prof. Taylor is a good professor. True, his voice didn't have a lot of varity, but whatever he explained was very clear to me. It helps to have a math-abled brain. I'd take another logic class if he taught a higher one.

Just finished Introduction to logic with Prof Taylor. Interesting class, makes you think about what you say a little more and I've found myself calling people out on their arguments. If you don't miss a class he bumps your grade up a letter grade which is great and he will always help you can call him at his house anytime until 10pm. Easy A.

Professor Taylor is a great teacher! He will meet you anywhere in town to come and help you and you can call him anytime before 10 pm. He is very fair and probably the best professor I have ever had. I wish more professors were like him!

Taylor took a three month course and condensed it into the one month timeframe very well for the most part. Due to the timeframe there were no opportunities to backtrack during class hours but Taylor did a good job of ensuring all the mandatory info was explained, even if the purpose and practicality of some course material was unexplained.

I took his summer Intro to Logic Class and it was a pretty nice class to be in. He brought food everyday and we didn't have any standard tests. Our whole grade was dependent on how we did on the online homework. We had about six assignments a week and they tend to drag but easy to get all the points. Overall it was a fun class to be in.

Professor Taylor is a great teacher! He is always available and will make sure that everybody understands the topic. He makes the class very enjoyable for everybody.

Professor Taylor is a great professor. I took his Logic class and was unsure of what to excpect at the start of class. This is one of the best experiences I've had in my college career. We were challenged, but not overworked. He is very helpful and makes this class very, very passable. If you are taking Logic this is your professor.

professor Daniel made something that seems rather redundant and boring at first into a relavent subject. Beginning the class seemed extremely easy but everything becomes compounded into a plethora of information you need to retain. overall professor daniel provides a great challenging class.

This class is pretty challenging at times but if you pay attention and attend all classes it will be easier to understand it. Professor Taylor has thourough knowledge of the subject and he will explain every tricky detail in logic

He is a good teacher and I find him very effective at teaching us. He also makes the class entertaining with the examples he gives of logic. I also find his incentive for students to attend the last class during finals a good one. Either come to class or he finds us and gives us a final.

The courser is a hard one to take but as long as you pay attention and use the tips that Professor Taylor gives you then you are good to go. You do have to try hard but he is willing to help you whenever you need it.

I took the four week long winter logic course. It was pretty challenging but Mr. Taylor was always very quick to answer any questions I had, and made sure I had all the proper resources for me to be informed on the topic. Would definitely recommend him!

Course material is fairly easy. I like how there's no midterm or exams or finals. Also, his chain is off the hook.

Professor Taylor is easy going but gets things done.If you don't do the assignments you will fail. Do the assignments the best you can and you will have no problem. If you need help you could call him. Overall this class is challenging but very interesting. He also gives us snacks sometimes so thats a plus.

Professor Taylor is very helpful, and is very thorough in teaching the material at hand. This is not necessarily a difficult class, but it can be if you don't keep up. I would definitely recommend Professor Taylor, with a word of advise: Do your work! His instruction in class directly relates to the next assignment. Pay attention!

He is very organzed and his teaching is structured. I appreciate his consistency with deadlines and how the class runs. I know what to expect, what he expects from me. He offered at the beginning of the semester to bring up your grade a letter if you have perfect attendance,however he is very reasonable if you tell him ahead of time of your absense

I really enjoyed the class, however i don't recommand taking the class online.It isn't to difficult but trying to get help through a phone is complicated. The teacher does his job well and the material is intresting. I would recommand a person to take logic and english 101 together. I believe they compliment each other.

Prof. Taylor is very helpful with any questions you may have. He's also a pretty easy-going guy. And there are no tests, quizzes or finals, so that's definitely a plus. His chains are off the hook.

This class was not what I expected when I signed up for it, but I wasn't disappointed. It was interesting and I learned something new. Professor Taylor showed enthusiasm for the subject and always made himself available for help outside of class.

Great Professor, teaches you everything and is super easy when it comes to grading. He gave our class free snacks every Thursday to give yo an idea how good he is. The Class is easy, you just have to do your homework and there are no quizzes or Test in his class.

However, this isn't a class I would take if you don't need it. It isn't a class that shows you how to be logical in arguments, and much of the content is very dry. But if you need the class, take Taylor.

Professor Daniel Taylor is one of the most helpful professors I have had. Not only would he assist you during class, but he had office hours and he hands out his personal cell phone so you can call him for help everyday of the week up until 10 PM. It's not an easy class, but not super hard as well. I never opened my textbook.Don't miss class!

The curriculum is different for everyone, but I didn't think it was difficult, and he gives simple, understandable explanations. Professor Taylor is one of my favorite Professors at AWC. Intro to logic has complexdifficult material but he really helps to make sure you understand the information. He will set aside days to strictly help students that need extra help so that you don't get left behind. He gives a fair amount of extra credit. I really recommend taking him!

This is a very challenging subject, but well worth the time invested. Professor Taylor is super passionate about his work, and wishes nothing more than to be fully available to help any student in need, even up until 10pm every night!

He is very kind and helpful. He gives you a chance to get your work done and he tries to make it so you can pass this course. He is a great teacher. You learn a lot.

I thought this professor was great since logic classes are very hard. Taylor explains everything in detail and makes it easier for you to understand. He doesn't have any tests nor quizzes, just homework and its online plus you have 3 chances per assignment in the homework.

Logic can be tricky at times, but Professor Taylor was very helpful when we needed him. It is easy to get a hold of him as well so I recommend taking his class. You do not require the textbook, but can be helpful if you get stuck.

Great instructor gives short lecture of the type of problems you will come across in that homework for that week. Available until 10:00pm at night 7 days a week for help.

I came over the summer to AWC in order to finish up a Gen Ed for the U of A. After having large, 600 + student lectures, it was refreshing and surprising to find a logic class with a logic professor who genuinely cares about his students. He is literally ALWAYS available for help. Fairly easy class too, just makes your head hurt a few times.

He offers help to everyone. He teachers you all the material you need to know. Be prepared to work for your grade, but it is easy work if you read all the material. You only need to buy the code for his class. NO tests, just one exam if you do not have an A in the class.

Is a very funny professor who helps out his students and does everything he can so everyone can get an A. If you do not pass the class with an A then in reality it was all on you because this professor helps you and explains everything as simple as he can.

This Was a good class to take. This Was an easy class but you do have to do your homework in order to pass the class.

This is an honors class, so not available to everyone, but very interesting and rewarding. I have enjoyed every class, as each one is different and upbeat. I would highly recommend Professor Taylor to anyone.

Dan Taylor is an older man, very lenient and peaceful. Most of the class work is done through blackboard through discussions, or quizzes. The only exception for this class is that it is a writing intensive for honor students.

Excellent professor, knows the material very well. Great lectures, cares about you as a student.

To be clear, this class was an Honors course on campus meaning that there would probably be more course work required for this section than a regular PHI 105 however I do have a feeling that he would still be as helpful as he was for us. He knows his subject very well and is fair with his grading.

This is an honors class so take ratings with this information in mind. Many students probably won't take this exact section. the professor is very nice but he could be more specific about some project goals

If you are behind, ask for help. If you get behind, you sure wont understand the next part. Also, if you show up to every class, and have at least an 89% in the class, you are excempt from the final :)

The class is enjoyable, though as far as the book is concerned, wait to buy it. Since, you will most likely end up using the online book that comes with your access code for the online homework. The Cengage site we use already contains the book. However, a hard-copy is nice for availability purposes.

Great class! Do the homework and the one essay and you should pass just fine. he clearly explains the subjects and is always there if you need help. I would recommend this class.

Professor Taylor is an incredible professor who cares about his students and is understanding and is there to help you when you need, including the weekends! He's a dedicated man to his students. Plus he brings snacks!

Overall, I enjoyed this class; it was very interesting to learn everything about Philospohy Intro to Logic. The class in general is between easy and hard. It's easy to pass as long you do and turn in all of your work. Sometimes the work can be difficult, but no matter what, Professor Taylor is always willing to help and work with you.

Pretty easy class, just make sure you show up every day and keep your grade up and you'll have no trouble at all. Material's not that difficult, just takes some getting used to. Lots of homework, but that's to be expected if you're taking the summer course. Plenty of time to work on assignments in class, plenty of time to work ahead.

Prof Taylor is awesome! If you willing to do hard work, he works with you. He offers to assist you. However, it is you who must make the effort to learn materials presented to you. Your participation matters a lot. He gives an opportunity to earn extra credit only if you completed and submitted all required assignments. I loved his teaching style.

Prof Taylor is a very attentive teacher. His online course is very organized and rather easy but you will have to work for it. He provides definitions, chapter outlines and power points to his students through BB which helps a lot when taking the chapter tests. Overall, I recommend his online course to anyone looking to take a summer/winter class.

Excellent professor, all assignments are online and there is only one essay throughout the whole semester. He exempts you from the mid term and final if you maintain an A the whole semester without being absent. The assignments may be time consuming but aren't very hard. Highly recommended.

Great professor. Always there when you need him and he is very helpful. If you pay attention in class and do the online assignments you will do great. It can get difficult at times so do not hesitate to ask for help. If you maintain an 89.1% the entire semester you are exempt from taking the midterm and final, which is great! Highly recommended.

Great professor. He cares about students and their success. Also, he was very comprehensive with the few times I couldn't turn in my homework. He makes sure you get the material, an easy grade as long as you do the material interesting and do the homework. It was a really great class, of curse it is challenging but at the end you feel great.

This was a really fun class! It could be stressful if you don't understand the material BUT professor Taylor is ALWAYS willing to help. This class was a bit of a challenge but you wont regret taking it!

Professor Taylor was very thoughtful throughout the whole semester and taught us what we needed to know for the assignments that were due. Whenever we didn't get to finish an assignment on time he gave us an extension. Only had to write one paper and it was not as hard as I thought it was going to be. Loved the class, would recommend.

Excellent professor and very helpful! Uses the MindTap software. At first, you might need to read some of the book, but if you attend all classes and pay attention during the lectures, you should be fine. An incentive to attend all classes and maintain an A is exemption from taking the midterm and final. Also, he's a phone call away (until 10pm)!

He has very clear instructions towards the course. He gives you the curriculum of what is do and when it is due in order for you to be successful in the class. What I really liked about the professor was that any paper you submitted, he would have it graded that day or in 24 hours. He also took snacks to class which really helped to stay awake.

Great Professor. You can tell that he is passionate about in-class discussions and he is able to provide many different perspectives that truly make you see things from a different point of view. I thoroughly enjoy the lectures because he is so knowledgeable. A good amount of homework and papers, but the course is 8 weeks, with a lot to cover.

Best professor I have had so far at AWC. He challenges your logic and puts things into perspective in a very interesting and silly way at times.

I took a quick 8 week version of this class. Quiz for each chapter and a couple papers early on. Other homework included group comments and Group presentation. Engaging class so you will leave feeling enriched. He is a gem. He gives you all kinds of tools to succeed and listens well without making you feel dumb. Quick question? Call him. Nice guy.

The class if heavy with weekly assignments and lots of reading. However if you put in the work it is super easy. Every section reflects the previous, so there is no slacking. Dan is very responsive to emails and is always there if you need help with anything. Overall, it was one of the best online classes ever taken.

Professor Daniel is a great teacher because he is always available all week and if you need anything he will respond fast. The online class is very efficient. The book is easy to understand as well as the videos. He also cares about his students. He is aware of what is going on in the class and he reminds you what needs to be done. I recommend him!

Good and easy class to take online. Only take it online if you are able to motivate yourself to learn the content. Only 2-3 assignments a week. Can work ahead. Content can be tough if you don't read the online textbook. Do all the assignments and keep an A average and youll be golden.

Professor Taylor was a very understanding and logical teacher. He explained the course content extremely well and provided summarized notes to reduce course difficulty. He made sure all students participated in in-class activities to further their understanding of each section. Homework was manageable and the class overall was not hard.

There's times where you do your best to put in the work in a class but the teachers sometimes don't help you back. However, I can confidently say that Ms. Taylor is a teacher who will do her best to help you pass as long as you put in the work which is all anyone can ask for. Best teacher I've had so far.
