Yes, this class is an easy A, BUT be sure to attend most of his classes because he takes attendance. It is boring, but I learned some things I didn't know about, so who am I to complain? Did I mention it was an easy A? Also, you don't need the book. About him being Santa Claus? No one needs to bag on him for that. It's so unnecessary.

this teacher is cool, easy and just do your work. u dont have to show up for class except when things are due. DONT BUY THE BOOK. syllabus completely outlines what you need to do in class. easy easy easy A. very helpful if u got a problem he'll listen just do your work, turn it in on time and u dont even have to take the final if u have 180 out of 200 points already final is worth 20 points and 10% of grade but if u have 90% already then why bother?

The class is really boring! And it made me more confused on picking a major but maybe that's because it broadened my view. Easy class and he's is definitely there to help. Takes role often. DON'T BUY THE TEXTBOOK!!! But he is really nice, he likes to talk, and hey! he plays Santa Claus. Easy A.

This was the easiest class ever. Easy A if you go to class and do the 3 assignments. Piece of cake. Do NOT buy the textbook. I made the mistake of not listening to these comments on ratemyprofessors.

Professor was nice, but the class is just a joke. It DOES NOT help you find a major and the work is just ridiculous, not in the sense that it's hard, but more so that it's not helpful. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS!! WASTE OF TIME!!

This class is a super easy A. It can be really boring...but he's a nice guy. Sometimes class is cancelled because of his Santa gigs. My advice: take the class, dont buy the book, and go to class for participation points-if you miss to much....that adds up. Best of all, this is a non-worry/stress class: you can worry&focus on your other classes.

This is a very easy class. It gets kind of boring but time flies. You take personality tests and I could say that it worked for me. I don't know about other people. Take this class if you want to boost your gpa and have a "break" during the day. I would recommend him. Easy A. (Open note/book tests, few assignments) (I got a 96/100 in the class.

omg he is sooo narcissistic!! i want to beat him up sometimes! he loves himself too much! but overall easy A just do all your work. miss one hw and automatically get a C (or lower). assignments: Participation(15), Quiz #1(10), Quiz #2 (10), Career Exploration Paper(25), Education Plan(20),Final(20) = 100pts. quiz and test is online/take home.

Extremely easy class if you fail this class it's because you didn't do a damn thing. Very, very easy would take him again, also helpful if you are not clear about what career or major path. This class gave me the clarity and a load of information on the Career Path I wanted to take, wish I took this as a freshman. Great Class!

Omgosh this class was so easy.. If you want an easy A take it! Don't do much.. you sign in for attendance and can have someone sign you in for you..The work in this class consists of attendance, 3 discussion boards, 10 page paper, and 2 small assignments. he's super nice and friendly!

take him during the fall, its when he bleashes his beard to be Santa Claus. The man is hilarious and very helpful if you are unsure about a major. Attendance is a must, and you have to do discussions on Beachboard. Career Paper is worth 25 pts and you even get points by going to career Fairs. Take him!!

Very nice and helpful. You have to sign in for attendance but thats about it. He does not require any books, just a test packet thing. DO ALLLL ASSIGNMENTS ON TIME!!! no matter what, he's an EASY grader! Classes are cancled alot to do stuff on campus, and he goes over test and quizes in class. take everything online, open notes and all. TAKE HIM!!!

VERY EASY!!! EASY A!!! attendance is MANDATORY!! but he usually cancels class or keeps you for 20 minutes then lets you leave. FLEXIBLE and UNDERSTANDING. 3 10 question tests on beachboard, he gives you the answers in class!! easy 3 units. 5-10pg. essay on past experience and future, gave the whole class full credit just for turning it in!!

The class was super easy. Attendance is mandatory but you dont lose a lot of points for not going and he doesnt always have a sign in sheet. Turn in everything and you're guaranteed a C at least just for doing it. He's funny, he talks about his job as Santa Claus. Definitely reccomend him.

Danny is tight! He's such a cute old man, he's santa clause and whatnot. This class is an extremely easy A. It can get really boring at times, but you have to go since attendance is mandatory. No book, and actually cancelled the final for us (fall '09). :D

Take him. He is a nice, funny guy, you do stuff in class that you are going to need to do anyways in life and it is just an all around simple class.

You'll love this teacher if you want a super A. If you want to be intellectually challenged and get the most out of your tuition $$$, look elsewhere. He spoon feeds you the answers to his open book tests during review days. If you can stand his meandering anecdotes and unnecessary info, you'll appreciate how nice and easy-going this guy is.

Don't take this class if you want to LEARN about adolescent psychology. You contract for your grade and as long as everything gets turned in on time you get that A or B. The only REALLY annoying thing is mandatory attendance, because you don't get lectures you basically just have class discussions, which aren't even teaching related. But he's nice.

Danny is a really sweet and helpful guy. very patient when explaining, and the class is easy. Helped me choose a major and organize the classes that I will take for the next 3 years. great class if you need some guidance.

A refreshing change from the usual "professor stereotype". He has a definate dislike of Freudianism, (so do I). Do the homework assignments and attend class and you will receive an 'A'. Miss 3 classes without a good reason, your 'A' becomes a 'B'. I highly reccomend "Danny" Thompson. Take him.

this class is very easy. Online quizzes and final. YOU DO NOT NEED THE BOOK! but if you dont get the book you do need to go to class to get the info. He likes to talk about his life so sometimes he only rushes the important info at the last mins of class. But overall he is really nice and cares alot. I decided to double major thanks to him.

Easiest A! GPA booster! Don't buy the textbook, all exams are online and open book. One paper, and final is open book also. You don't really need to buy the Myer-Biggs test. Just take it online for free.

Easy easy class. Take it of you literally want to do nothing and get an A. One 5-10 page paper that you take exclusively about yourself, and 3 online quizzes in which he pretty much gives you the answers.

I highly recommend this class, especially for freshmen and undeclared students. One essay and two 10 question quizzes that give a new definition to the word "easy." He will help you figure out what major you want to do and what classes to take... and he's Santa.

This class was a joke because it was soooooo easy! Pissed me off though because made us buy 2 textbooks that I NEVER used! Just that stupid online lab which was a joke and he even gave up on it because it was flawed. I took this class because I needed 3 units more to graduate, and easiest class in all my 5 years at CSULB.

This class is specifically helpful for undeclared & freshmen students but anybody can take this class if you seriously want an easy A and/or just to get a GE out of the way. Danny's personable & nice, a bit unorganized but it's not a bother. Likes to tell stories during lecture. His assignments are definitely doable and crazy easy.

Santa Clause is a great professor! This class is very helpful for those struggling to find majors or want to look into different career options. All assignments contribute to these discoveries, quizzes are online and the answers are usually given out in class. He sometimes cancels class unexpectedly. Tells a lot of great stories 2. This class is more beneficial for fresh/soph. For me, his lectures are really important and meaningful. I really enjoyed going to his class because of his vibrant and outgoing personality. Class is extremely easy. He is very clear on instructions and the life lessons he teaches really grows on you. I highly recommend this class for unsure students.

A real life Santa, literally works as Santa part of the year. He is a cool teacher that teaches more of whats outside the book. His lectures are self explanatory, but I went to class because of his personality and life lessons. Take him, hes easy.

Personally I found this class a bit dull, but that's a given since the topic covers career choice, personality, all of that basic stuff concerning what type of person you are and what jobsmajors fit you. I definitely recommend if you're still undecided, and who knows, you might learn something about you

He's such a nice person! Class is pretty dull tho. 3 online tests, 1 (8paged) paper, and 2 other easy assignments. You get points for attendance. He's really helpful and clear about grading&assignments. If you want an easy-A class, or undeclared major, I'd definitely recommend his class.

This class is basically a one hour conversation with your cool grandfather. Danny (NOT Daniel as he will remind you!) is a very laid back professor. His class is common sense, yes, but I see it as an opportunity to take time to think about things you probably wouldn't have otherwise and plan out your future classes/career goals. "Good night!"

This class was the easiest class I have ever taken. There isn't much work in his class but he is very caring and cares deeply about having students succeed. Easiest A.. take it to fill a GE he canceled a lot which is cool but honestly this class could've been really great for people who are undeclared or even if they're not there was so much potential for this to be an interesting class but it wasn't at all I guess its cause he's old.. more than half the class is him telling stories

i showed up to the first three classes and never went back. Easy A. you have to buy the mbti packet for like $60 but don't get his book. assignments were all common sense and quick. i really think if i went to class i wouldn't have learned much. He's a nice guy but got sidetracked a lot when I did go and the stuff eh does in class isn't for credit

Took the class for the category E requirement. Easiest class that I have ever taken. If you put in just a little effort you will get an A. Assignments are mostly personality tests that you take and submit a screenshot of your results. The tests are all easy, multiple choice, and online. One final paper that he grades easy on. Cancels class a lot.

Danny was a super chill professor and his class is helpful to explore career paths and your interests. Although he did have to cancel class a few times he makes sure to encourage students to complete his assignments during that time. Recommend this class for anyone looking for an E level course!

I honestly really like this teacher and want to make all the students who are questioning this professor certain about their decision. He is pretty repetitive in his lessons can go off on tangents but that never bothered me. His lessons were so simple but had so much meaning making you think about your decisions, values, etc. he's great!

EASIEST CLASS YOU WILL EVER TAKE. You do not have to show up to pass the class. Attendance is 10% of your grade tho. You do not have to pay any attention to do the assignments. Super easy and simple. Most of the assignments are like surveys about yourself. Cancels class a lot. Let's class leave early almost every lecture. TAKE HIM EASIEST A EVER.

By far one of the easiest professors ive had. Danny was really chill. Practically gave the answers to all the tests. The lectures could get boring, but at least the work was very easy. Lectures were essentially him explaining what was due, what will be next class and then class ends. Almost all lectures ended very early. Highly recommend Danny

One of the better professors I have ever had. He is super understanding and will go the extra mile to help his students learn. His assignments are easy but there is a quite a few. However its nothing that anyone can handle.

Extremely nice professor but boring class. He goes over a single assignment for weeks then makes it due weeks later which makes the class a breeze, but it gets boring. Minimal assignments due and only 3 exams which the first 2 were only 10 questions and open note. Class only met once a week but he almost always ended class super early.

Sweet and full of personality professor! Meet only once a week and participation is graded by attendance. Super easy, you have to TRY to FAIL. Several easy assignments due every other week and 3 exams. All open notes and common sense. Can be a bit boring, but it is a solid class!

Thompson himself is an okay teacher. His class is extremely easy and for this reason only I rate him so highly. Thompson is an avid story-teller and spends most of class-time talking about himself. Class attendance isn't very necessary to pass his class (unless it's for exam reviews). Although his class requires a textbook, you don't really need it

Danny Thompson is THE BEST Professor so sad he is retiring next year. His class is very easy; if you make friends to sign you in, you don't have to show up. The only downside is that his "lectures" are very boring he only talks about his life. Barely any assignments and tests are common knowledge, easy A+ class.
