Great teacher!! He's the best!!!

He's a great professor, but you do have to actually listen in class. i hardly ever read the text, but i always pay attenton and i do really well in the class and on the tests. I deff. recomend him!!

Great professor. I didnt alway read the book during the course, but its important to pay attention to his lectures. Very well detailed and he uses powerpoint which makes it easier to follow. I read the textbook before the exams and studied all my notes he basically just gave us and I got an A+ in the class.

At the beginning the class it a bit boring, but after the theoretical part it gets interesting & you can actually apply a lot of the stuff you learn to everyday life!He's really nice & tries to help if you have trouble! Tests aren't too hard! Helps if you read the book! Pay attention to the lectures and you'll be fine!

If you are going to take a sociology class i recommend taking it with Dan. He's incredibly helpful and a good listener as well as a good professor. He is very passionate about what he teaches and goes through alot to make the class fun and interesting and does a great job at it.

He was a good professor, but at times he would be an ****. Do not take this class w/ any relatives or he will be biased towards you and assume you are cheating. he explains VERY well! Make sure you as questions. DONT get on his bad side. Attend class b/c tests are based on lecture and ppt!

He is one of the best MC professors. He is laid back, chill, cool and clear about what you have to study. His tests are pretty simple, he gives you a review sheet before each test and the final is not culmilative. Only caution, don't be late, he will give you the stare. But definetly take him!

One of the best professors i've ever had. Hes funny, lectures are always interesting, and he's not afraid to say what's on his mind. If you actually do you're readings and take notes in class, there is no way to fail this class.

Great Prof! The man knows how to teach. I looked forward to class and was sad to have it end. Will definately be taking his Psycology of Sociology course later :)

He was a great teacher. Very fun and likeable. Hilarious. Cool. In his 30's probably--so still able to relate to us. Warning: if you are late for class he will humiliate you when you come in. It's his one peeve. He also doesn't like it when nobody has done the readings, which happens a lot. Class discussions are fun.

I understood his class completely, never be late he likes making it a point to not be late and also points the attention towards you if you are normally late everytime you come in but tests are easy and he does make you write a lot so if you don't like writing papers do not take this class.

Overall, the class is pretty interesting. However, the book is terrible! Shows some interesting movies. Exams are not the easiest so prepare well. Check your paper topic with him & you'll be just fine! Extremely helpful!

Dan is an interestng guy. He is very nice and means well in his teaching. He had interesting films. He sometimes deviates from the text and make his tests questions alittle confusing. Overall I would ressomend this professor.

He is a great teacher because he really cares about what he teaches and makes you have the same passion for it. He is very nice and very helpful. Awesome guy.

I lovethis professor. He is very revolutionary and iconoclastic. He makes the issues so interesting and challenges students to think outside the box. Heis also really funny and charming. TAKE HIM.

He was great, really funny, made the class fun and interesting, the films in the class are great. The articles from the book as well. You don't do much work, reading assignments, 1 group project, 1 research paper at the end, and midterm and final are easy essay questions. Loved this class

Very laid-back and easy going. Material is simple and easy to follow. I got by without reading the book. Lecture notes had power points to follow and overall a great class. If you're taking sociology take Wilson!!

He's a great teacher. He's extremely nice and helpful. Hardly gives work out just do well on the exams and you should be fine. Exams are very straightforward along with his study guides. He looks for participation a LOT so be sure to participate. He definitely made the class interesting so I would recommend him!

Awesome teacher. Loves what he does and it shows. Down to earth. Classes can feel more like a conversation than a lecture if the students participate. Can be really fun! Enjoyed 101 so much I took another class that he taught.

he was really cool. not a hard class at all. go to class take notes and study them and you'll do well. you don't need to bring your books into class but he'll ask you to read the chapters. hardly anyone did. tests are ok. homework is easy. only required like 5 hw grades but assigns 7 so if u do the first 5 u dont have to do the last 2. i recommend

I took his class in the summer 2010 ... It is alot of reading but if you do the readings and study you will get an A .. I also encourage anybody taking this course to participate in class

Take this professor under ANY circumstance. Very knowledgeable on the subject, gracefully keeps class discussion under control making sure to get to the point. Doesn't imply which way he leans. . .open to all opinions. A very useful class that will benefit anyone. Be on time and do your reading.

I liked this teacher a lot. He's self-aware, and I feel like most students don't realize or appreciate it. He has his lectures completely planned out and all you have to do is take notes. They may seem mundane, but he gets to the point while also being open for discussion. Be on time for classes he teaches.

Overall a good professor. He has good powerpoints and likes teaching the class. He has good decisions and the videos can be interesting. Light Hw load, drops the lowest 2 grades. Tests are good,just review the study guide. DO NOT BE LATE. He hates this and he does take attendence but stops later in the year. Be respectful and your golden.

Awesome professor. Very clear and very good at explaining material. He makes subject material interesting. Only required 5/7 homework assignments. Didn't provide his powerpoints for studying for tests, but study guide is very clear on what will be on the tests and if you can't find it in your class notes it will be in the book. Don't be late.

Prof. Wilson is a extremely knowledgeable about Sociology and the history. He is very easy to understand and will take any questions you might have. He takes an active interest in students understanding of the material as long as you put forth the effort. No Cell Phones AT ALL and read the material, take notes and don't be late.

Super easy going and laid back. Tests are mostly on notes from power points and info in book. HW is mostly reading the book. participate in class, participation is a grade and even though it seems like he doesn't keep track of it, he notices who is putting forth effort. If he doesn't know your name after a month, you need to raise your hand

maximum workload is a weekly memo from anything that week, usually pretty easy; he sometimes gets sidetracked but most of the material that you needed to know is in the book. Attendance is a large part of your grade and so is participation. freaking awesome teacher overall :)

Tests are based on lectures/powerpoints, in addition to several readings throughout the semester. No quizzes, papers were easy and the guy is pretty intelligent. Nice young professor who knowsa his stuff and he is always willing to help you if you don't understand something. Made an otherwise boring subject pretty enjoyable!

This was my second class with Professor Wilson. He is smart and passionate and really pulls you in to wanting to learn more about the material. Be prepared for essays each exam and turn in your assignments on time and you'll get the grade you deserve. Chronically tardy and or smart aleck students need not take his classes.

Professor Wilson's class was really interesting. His power point notes were straight forward. Every week you get a chapter test so read the chapter and you will get a good grade. Exams are straight forward as well if you study and take good notes.

Professor Wilson is FUNNY, intellectual and makes Sociology fun to learn and interesting. He truly does make you think like a sociologist, just use the textbooks read all your homework and the weekly quizzes will be easy. VERY RECOMMENDED!!

Professor Wilson has a great personality, very knowledgeable about his subject and he has a good sense of humor. His classes were always interested, his exams were based on his Power Points and lectures, just read. He gives plenty of extra points, so if you study you'll do well. So happy I took his class.

Professor Wilson is such an amazing person! He is funny, engaging, and really HOT! He knows how to teach a class, and he knows how to keep a class interested in the subject because my class was a 3 hour night class, and I actually looked forward to coming to it every week. He makes his exams fair and does not surprise you with anything. Take him!

Prof Wilson was pretty great. The topic of the class was more difficult. There are only two tests, midterm and final. Memos were due every week. I would recommend taking one of his classes.

He has to be one of the best professors I've ever had. I wasn't sure what major I wanted, but after taking his class I'm leaning more into sociology. Had to be the hardest exams I've ever studied before in my life, but the class was pretty easy. To study for exams you need to be prepared to read a lot but besides that the class was really fun.

Professor Wilson was my favorite professor and this class was my favorite! It's so much fun and he makes the material interesting. The midterm and final are the only exams and they're pretty hard to prepare for but if you really take the time to study then you can get an A. He will ask questions about lectures on the exams so go to class.

I really liked Professor Wilson, he makes his lectures interesting and cracks jokes here and there. Only thing is, the class is based off of your tests mainly so if your not a good test taker this class isn't easy. He lectures a lot so make sure you take good notes on the powerpoints and READ. There are SO MANY READINGS.

Make sure you participate in the online discussions. If you are late he will take away points. Lots of reading involved. Very knowledgeable and I would recommend this professor.

First and foremost, there is no work done in class- quizzes and exam are done on blackboard. You write 4 reflection memos throughout the course, not hard at all they are one page of summarizing the assigned article, and one page reflecting on it. Take notes and participate- he gives a professionalism grade based on this. Makes sure you understand.

A lot of reading but very specific with his instructions. Participate with detailed discussions and do all assignments on time. Reading is a must but every discussion, quiz and paper is based on the reading material.

He made the material more enjoyable and chose a textbook that is not as boring as it could have been. He explains things very well and is always willing to help if you need it. Responds quickly to email. Hes a great professor but you must be willing to complete the readings, study and participate in class to pass. Great professor!

Professor Wilson is an amazing professor! If you need socy for a credit i would highly recomend him! All of his quizzes and exams are online and they are not extremely difficult as long as you pay attention lecture and take notes! He gives weekly reading, i would highly recommend reading them so you will be able to get your points for participation

His online class involves a lot of reading and writing, but if you're willing to put in the time it's very obtainable to get an A. If you read the chapters each week the discussion boards are more interesting and fairly easy. It helps to post early before others discuss what you wanted to. The quizzes and exams are online and open-book.

Prof Wilson is a very caring for his students, he wants to help you learn and pass! This class is not difficult to pass unless you are not organized with the weekly quizzes, you don't have to attend class on exam days but that means you should complete the exams, I do reccomend him! (btw I took him for Socy 100 intro to sociology)

Slightly test heavy, quizzes every sunday, 3 exams, 3 papers, and he grades your professionalism. The content was hard to understand because they were mostly conceptual not fact. He references lectures A LOT on every test/quiz. Not an easy A but not the hardest thing ever. Mediates conversation well; he lets everyone with different opinions speak.

Pretty painless. Two discussion posts and replies weekly, one "research" paper and two exams.

Professor Wilson's online SOCY100 class is not difficult to pass as long as you turn in all the assignments and posts on time. He focuses a lot on the textbook material. He is not the most lenient or understanding professor. It is an overall easy course if you do everything you are supposed to do.

Attended Summer semester online. Lots of textbook reading but it is Sociology, so it makes sense. Main work is reading, then short easy quizzes on the reading, then you write discussion posts relating the content to 2 articles/videos he provides for you. Most of the work comes from reading and writing, the tests were not hard. Interesting content!

I took Professor Wilson's SOCY 100 class as part of an asynchronous Extended Winter Term course. Professor Wilson was very clear with his expectations and grading criteria and made the material needed to succeed in the course easily available. As long as you do the required reading and diligently wrote good discussion posts, you will do well.

I took Sociology online with Professor Daniel, and he's the perfect choice if you're looking for an easy A. The discussions and quizzes are always clear, and as long as you submit your work on time, you'll do great. The exams are also straightforward- just make sure to manage your time well, as they are timed. Definitely a stress-free class!

I took his class during extended winter, to be honest he is a great professor to take online. He gives you quizzes and exams but they are pretty straightforward multiple choices. Discussions boards are important, make sure you respond on time so you won't lose points.

Professor Wilson was a great instructor and provided everything I needed to do well in the course even though it was online / asynchronous. He very clearly wants students to succeed and responds to emails quickly. Very flexible too If you put in effort / complete the work on time you will do well. He gives you all of the tools, so it is up to you.

Prof. Wilson was a great online teacher. He grades super fast and give good feedback when needed. There is a lot of reading but it is all pretty interesting. Overall class was not too difficult and he was very helpful overall.

Great course, and I learned a lot. The work is not difficult, but you will need to put several hours into assignments each week. Wilson is a very good online educator and I would take him again.

Prof Daniel was great, his expectations and assignments are clear. The course was very manageable for a 7 week class. There are 2 discussion posts, and you must respond to 2 classmate each week. There are quizzes, 2 exams and two short papers. I learned a lot and the course relates to a lot of what is going on politically now with healthcare.
