She make the class interesting and is very helpful.
Good teacher class was very easy if you read the notes. She often was too helpful to people who were doing poorly in class due to thier own lack of effort. Took her for both 1301 and 1302. Posts all of her notes on black board and gives lists of key terms for the test.
History is not my favorite subject per say, but she was the only teacher that seemed to care about her students and teaching profession. Highly recommend her passion and desire for you to pass! Took her for both History 1301 and 1302...
Ms. Bible is an amazing teacher. I learned a lot in her class. She's extrememly smart and helpful. She always gave great lectures. I highly recommend her to those who love History and even to those who don't because she might change your mind about it.
I never thought I'd be interested in History as much as I have been in this class. I feel it's mostly because Mrs. Bible is extremely helpful and keeps class interesting. Her notes on blackboard are thorough and her lectures are great. Wow...Great History teachers don't have to be boring old men because Mrs. Bible is precious.
Ms. Bible is one of the best teachers I have ever had at San Jac. She is super cool and fun!! She makes everything interesting and gives you the facts not biased info. Just do all the assignments and make sure to print out the blackboard notes and easy A!!!
Took her for hist 1301 mini session... she makes the class interesting. I am not a history person at all and ended up with a B in the class. If I would've tried just a little harder I would've gotten an A. Take her for history, you won't regret it!
AWESOME!! One of the best teachers I have ever had. She loves what she's teaching, and it shows. I have never been a big history fan, but she got me to actually think and question what I was learning!!
You can tell she enjoys teaching and keeps class interesting. I am enjoying the class. Ohh...it doesn't hurt that she's super hot too
Ms. Bible is extremely smart and helpful. It really shows that she cares for her subject and helping her students. You can tell she enjoys teaching. I defentely recommend her for Hist.
Bible is the best teacher ever! If you study the PowerPoint slides and key terms you will get an A in her class. She made me like History. I cannot wait to take 1301. I will wait to make sure I get her as my teacher. Do what she says she knows what she is talking about.
Very very good teacher. Very helpful, and works with you on everything. Gives reviews before hand, as well as the essays. Two papers...one reading assignment. Do them early because they're due at the end of the semester right around every other class. Easy easy A.
This was a great class. I wish I had taken her for 1301! Very clear with PP presentations and lectures and videos. I took the fast-track and still missed a bunch of classes and was able to keep up because all notes are online. Tests are easy, she does have daily homeowrk thats a pain, but she takes late work, she can work with anyone! Take her!
Definitely the best professor in existence. All notes are visual with PP, which made it easy. She actually listens to her students. She is intelligent, funny, caring, and super nice. You cant help having a crush on her.
This teacher is one of the most helpfull and carring women that i have met at San Jac. She really loves what she does and therefore does a good job at teaching and being liked by many students. Be in class as much as you can to see videos based on some of the work and copy the notes on blackboard and you will pass great teacher!!!
Shes a great history teacher, you will really want to know what happened in history each day you go to class!!!
She is helpful, nice to all her students even the ones that act rude, and doesn't seem to all the wall about her exam's. She uses Power Points that you can get. Be warned tho.. she like essays not long ones but expect to write in this class but if your get stuck she will help you.
this was my fav. class and i didnt even like history! she was super helpful and made the class interesting. i strongly recommend her. btw, she uses powerpoint that is also on Bb and her reviews are great. u do have to write an essay in class with test but very easy
Best teacher EVER!
very fun, my best teacher ever
uses power point reviews are easy test are easy as well you have an essay you have to turn in for each test she tells you far in advance and the essays are so simple and easy she will help you every step of the way this is a super EAAAAAAAASY CLASS
I took this class during the summer and believe me, it was a handful. Mrs. Bible is a sweet, smart, helpful person. She clearly explains the subject and keeps you interested! And I am NOT a history fan either. I definitely recommend her to anyone who's willing to go to class and do a book critique that's due towards the end of the last weeks.
Mrs. Bible is a great teacher! Her lectures are informative and thorough. She doesn't waste time with conversation, and gives lots of assingments to help boost your grade. She is awesome!
My first impression of her was someone who would be hard and difficult. The Opposite view became my reality. She is such a wonderful person, very helpful and responsive to the needs of the students. She is a rare gift to San Jacinto and I am happy to be in her class.
Extremely helpful. Keeps you interested in the topic. Amazing overall.
Wonderful lady with a passion for History. Class is simple if you are not an idiot.
she is super nice. very interesting. assignments are ez. test are open notes, all notes are on blackboard. very good teacher, really liked her class.
She is great if you like history take her. and if you just want an easy teacher keep looking cus she will keep you busy. overall its a fun class but then again i like History I got an A but i earned it. its not easy.
I think Mrs. Bible is a very intellegent woman and knows what she is talking about and wants us to the learn the material. HOWEVER, after three wks in this course; I am still a little unclear. We have these "Assignments" and "Responses" due shortly, and I am not clear on the instructions.HELP PLEASE!!!!
She is a very intellegent and caring teacher. she is full of history knowledge. im currently taking her class, eventhough she is a great teacher, but she gives bunch of stuff to do, too many response that you have to do which require 500words,im really struggling in her class. if you want an easy class, than better look other.
She is the best Professor at San Jac. She kows what she is talking about and knows what type of assignments to give to make you learn. If you would just do what she tells you to and READ THE BOOK!! you will do fine. This is the teacher to take. I took her for both classes.
I've forgotten most of the teachers ever since I've transferred from San Jac, but I do remember Ms. Bible. She keeps things interesting and teaches really well. Nothing better than a smart, good looking, & interesting teacher. We had a pretty tough paper due @ the end of the semester. I almost wanted to fail so I could not transfer & have her again
Prior to taking her class I had no interest in learning about History. However, she really made it very interesting and has a passion for teaching. Her tests come straight from Blackboard and she is always available for help when you need it.
Took her during the 3-wk-winter-mini and I must say it was a bit hard (but no mini is easy). Her tests were online, open book/pwpt/notes. Response paper every night which is just a basic summary of what you read and thats about it. She's VERY NICE. I LOVED HER.
Mrs. Bible is an excellent teacher. Also she posts her slide show/lecture online and her notes are accessable as well. As long you do all your work and turn it in on time your sure to get at least a B. Try a bit harder and dont be suprised to get an A.
VEry Cool Teacher, Gives extra time on assignments, very helpfull, I used to not like history, but she makes it so intersting that is hard not to pay attention...You will love her class, and if you do not pass, shame on you, b/c she will do whatever it takes to help you pass the class...hope there were more teachers like her, college would be fun n
OMG! I hate history, but she managed to keep my eyes open long enough to write some notes down! She is a REALLY easy teacher...she lets you use her power point slides on tests!!! If you fail a test I guess you're stupid. The only thing you actually have to do is write a book review which is really easy. TAKE HER!!!
I agree with the last person, I don't like history either but Prof. Bible will keep your attention. The response articles are not hard and the tests are fair. I plan to take 1302 with her in the Fall.
I took this course during the summer because I wanted to get it over quick, but it was actually pretty interesting. The lectures were clear-cut and the assignments were a breeze. The book critique concerned a few people, but luckily I chose an interesting book, unlike my friend :>
Her class is great! The test was dificult but i am enjoying the class.
Mrs. bible def. knows her stuff! she's really smart and doenst just read off her slides! not an easy class.. took her as a mini and all the tests were online.. but had many journal entries every night.
ms.bible is a great prof! you have to study to do well on the test, but I wouldnt take this course with anyone else :>
Her test was easy if you attended class and studied the review
I disagree with the previous person. That exam was hard and the questions are tricky. I do agree that ms. bible knows what she is talking about tho, i just wish there wasn't so much to know
Great class, more interesting than US history, but a lot of reading.
She is really good at lecturing and fun to listen to. Some of her test questions are kind of confusiong and tricky but not too bad. She is always willing to help and I really enjoyed the class. Good teacher.
She is very interesting and knows what she's talking about. Tests are open note but you still need to study as she wants to make sure that you really understand the material. One book critique that is easy to do if you read the book. I really enjoyed the class and highly recommend it.
This teacher was probably the best teacher i've ever had. You do use the book. The test are straight from the notes...she alwasy said that you didn't have enough time to look up all the answers but you do if you go through your notes while in lectures and highlight keyterm material. You have one book critque and you have 5 responses from the book.
Good teacher, really liked her style. I admit though at first I swore she was a kind of new teacher, but now I really don't know. She is good, and there is no doubt about that. It's funny though, because if you somewhat try you'll learn - heck, I'm taking her honors class next semester :D. Really it's not that hard. Really <.<.
well.. i love the way of her teaching, however the Exam is EXTREAMLY HARD!!! Attendance is MUST.
I currently taking this class, and I must say I have never been into history but with this teacher I like it, I thought it was going to be really hard at first i was freaking out but dude she LETS YOU USE YOUR LECTURE NOTES AND HANDOUTS ON THE TEST!!!! Quizs are online print them out,and do them with a friend. I love this class!
I am taking this class right now. I have to say, I thought this would be my hardest and most boring class, but little did I know. Ms bible is an awesome teacher! She wants you to learn. Take notes and study and you will pass with an "A"
she a really good teacher you will pass the class if you would pay attention and do all the work.
This is one of the most interesting classes I had at Sanjac. I thought the course would be hard bcuz she makes you read alot but the stories are good
Not an easy class and attendance is a MUST. However, I looked forward to this class every Tu & Th. Definitely recommended if you need history.
Ms. Bible is a fantastic teacher. She's a great lecturer, so you'll never be bored during class. Grade consists of three tests (essay on the first two), a few online quizzes and a book critique, but it all syncs up to make you know the material better. She cares more that her students understand the effects of history rather than memorizing dates.
At first i was a little scared cause of these responses we had to do but they werent so hard she graded easy! test you get to use the notes although its still a little tough, the questions are complex. overall shes a nice lady and knows her stuff, made it interesting!
Great class! Highly recomend! Its about time classes were offered on Mexican history. 3 tests and 1 book review. Everyone enjoyed this class.
Great.... great.... best professor ive had since i started college
Bible, Is a Wonderful Professor VERY Very helpful BUT HER tests are SUPER hard make sure you study! She give extra credit as well,Im taking her right now in the mini for 1302 , IM STRUGGLING on these test BUT I LOVE HER TEACHING STYLE QUICK AND STRIGHT TO THE POINT!!-DM
SHE IS A GREAT TEACHER I HAVE NEVER BEEN INTERESTED IN HISTORY, SO IT WAS HARD TO ME TO PAY ATTENTION TO LECTURE. THE CLASS IS EASY, YOU GET TO USE ALL YOUR NOTES ON THE TEST EXCEPT FOR THE ACTUAL BOOK. GO TO CLASS, LISTEN, &DO THE BOOK CRITIQUE. THE TESTS ARE NOT THE ONLY GRADES INCORPORATED SO IF YOU DO BAD IT WONT HURT YOU. JUST DO EVERYTHING!!!
TAKE HER!! very organized, fair, and know what she's talking about! history was actually FUN! do not blow off her class. she gives three tests and a book critique assignment. she does offer extra credit. notes and review used on tests, but make sure to read over the notes... DO NOT rely entirely on them. her tests are challenging even though notes
exciting class, different than usual history. Prof. Bible talked about things my parents always tell 2 me like about the zoot suit riots and Reies Tijerina. good class and the reading is actually interesting
This is a great class and highly recommend taking it. Ms. Bible will keep your attention. She makes history seem so exciting and important. I'm definately taking mexican history now
I have had Professor Bible for 1301 and now 1302. She is a great lecturer, but you have to write everything she says down and not just review the online notes. The exam is hard, very detailed, but fair. Really great teacher.
I took Mexican American History with this professor & i really enjoyed it. Her notes are very well researched & can be found on Blackboard. Her test are easy because she allows you to use your notes. She also did Freewrites which was you writing about the assigned reading. There is a book critique that she outlines for you & is willing to help out.
Take this class, Ms. Bible is nice, the group activities are helpful and the literature is interesting. The films we watched were informative and the exams were actually kind of great. If you don't plan to come to class then you might not take this class because group discussion is worth like 35 points, but every1 came b/c the class is so interes
Prof. Bible is easily one of the top 5 prof. at San Jac. If you think her class is hard, then you aren't going to class. Book critique is challenging, but not as ridiculous as some papers other professors make you write. I owe my renewed interest in Politics/History to her 1301 and 1302 classes.
shes cool and this class was my favorite. i knew alot of the ideas but it was powerful to hear a teacher say what i felt. only down side was we had alot of group talk
She is very thorough in her class, very detailed and gives very good lectures. She demonstrates her passion for history through her lectures and enjoys getting feedback from students during the lectures. Show up everyday, show interest, be prepared, study your lecture notes that are on ppt along with her added points of view and you will do fine.
very sexy, she is incredibly smart and well spoken also, adds to her attraction
She is very helpful and teaches an easy class. Just print the ppt (which you can use during the tests) and you'll be good. Lectures are interesting and got my attention when I was never interested in history. She likes to be answered during lectures and not stared at.
Notes can be printed out (power-point slides). You are given the key terms which is what the 3 tests (about 35 questions each)are focused on. Test are also open notebook. The class works in groups 3or4 times throughout the semester, & a book critique is mandatory. Overall great professor, she really made the class interesting. & if you try, easy A
She was a great teacher! I took her for summer and have no interest in hist. She made it bearable! Definitely recommend her!
3 tests and 1 paper. She gives good instruction and helps with paper, tests were easy. She made the class exciting.
Took both 1301 and 1302 during Spring and enjoyed greatly. I found history easy to learn, and Prof. Bible much more informative than by 1301 prof last Fall (I dropped). She is flexible and understanding, really devoted to teaching. Must get the book b/c she has assignmts, but there easy. Recommend much. Enjoy.
very good at explaining and giving examples! lets you use notes on tests but tests are hard! only went 2/3 of the classes and still made a B
I took her online course for summer 1 & it was cool. I am in no way interested in History, but her assignments made it interesting. You definitely need the book in order 2 pass. Not an easy course but not impossible. I finished w/a B. Take her if you have the opportunity.
Took summer Mexican history online and learned alot. WELL ORGANIZED! She does assign reading but the quizzes are easy. A++
This is the second time taking 1301 the last professor I had was not good for me. But Pro. Bible is Awsome for anyone. She lets you use your notes and assignments and any information for the test just not your book. Go to class, take good notes, study for the test and outline your handouts, and do the reviews.... And you should make an easy A.
Took her online class she's very helpful and understanding!
This online prof is great, quickly responds and has kept me motivated. I actually feel like she is working with me and not just grading randomly on the other end of the computer. Clear directions, move at your own pace, and managable due-dates & lots of ways to earn points
Pretty much a easy class. Took the history 1302 online at the begginng of the summer and the 2328 class online at the end of the summer and made a B+ and A- Class has some reaeding and easy quizzes. You chose to do essays or not, and no paper. I would take her for other classes if she taught them
I took her 1302 class durning the fall and she is a great teacher. This is the teacher you want! She puts her notes online and then goes over them every day. She is very interested in what she teaches and makes it fun for you, even if you don't like history. I RECOMMEND HER FOR ANYONE!!!
I havnt met her bc taking online but I like the class. Essays, asignments, and quizzes but she gives you an option of correcting mistakes and she allows you to pick how you earn points (LOVE THIS bc I don't like essays but still have an A). Responds quickly to email.
Best class, best teacher! Project assignments are most of your grade. The tests aren't bad but the quiz bowl stuff helps alot. Very cool discussion. Buy lots of ink for notes though.
FUN class. Bible is energetic and acts like a moderator overseeing the class discussion. We have competitive games (quiz bowl) to test comprehension. This class is GREAT. TAKE BIBLE!
Very fun and passionate about history! Listening to lecture is actually interesting and you'll actually learn a lot. Very analytical class, but it's easy with all the information given. Take notes and DO THE PROJECT! Made a solid A.
reading is a must, she will reply to emails and I talked to her over the phone, she is very nice, class is kinda tuf but it was better than 1302
Class offered more than I expected and I do feel that I gained a lot of insight into how to read sources effectively but this class is really not for people trying to maintain a high GPA. I worked harder in this course than in any other and I just barely made an A.
Professor Bible keeps class interesting. All lectures are on blackboard; you have to print them and bring them to class, which will cost you on ink. Lots of homework, but it is worth 50% of your total grade. You can bring all notes to the tests, but don't be fooled; the first is hard and they get progressively harder. You will learn a lot, though.
I have taken Prof Bible for both US history classes so I knew what to expect in Mex/Am history and I am majoring in history so this class was pretty easy for me. Her tests can be tough if you don't study (don't assume your notes will be sufficient if you haven't bothered to study). She did require participation in four group activities, also easy
great teacher! you are allowed to use notes and vocabulary on tests, but that doesnt mean you will pass. you really have to understand the material to make a good grade. the homework was easy and was worth 50% of final grade, which was great bc i would not have passed without it. i learned a lot in this class though and would recommend taking her
I am currently taking Prof. Bible's class online and I love it! This class is very organized and the assinmnets are strangely addictive. I don't consider myself a history buff but I am really getting into this class. She gives helpful feedback and earning points is pretty easy. Def. recomend
I took her online course and loved it. She stays on top of her e-mails, and she really has a love for what she does. After seeing how sexy she was I wish I had of taken a campus class.
Took this class online and loved it. She does an excellent job of keeping up with Blackboard and the designated assignments. Excellent class and great reading material.
Good professor. Kinda intimidating the first time you meet her lol. Her lessons are simple, but half of your grade comes from separate book assignments which are rather interesting and enlightening. Just wish she showed a bit more emotion or gave her opinion on certain things but she teaches objectively so it's understandable. Studying is required.
She trys not to give her opinions but if you pay attention you can read between the lines. She never complains about helping students. She is mentally stimulating. There is a lot to do for her class but most of it is at least interesting. She loves assigning YouTube videos to watch.
Highly Recommend. I took the class online but you can tell she is really passionate about history. Her feedback is blog-style and comforting and I learned a lot. I did not think the assignments where difficult and she gives you the option of revising. I find myself pointing out gentrification and questioning the media. Great Youtube clips.
Bible is very hard. She goes through the lessons quickly AND she posts podcasts which are crucial for exams. Personally I find it annoying to have to study for the lessons on the podcast b/c the lessons in class are already enough. She doesn't make the class interesting. It is very difficult to stay focused. I don't hate hist. but I hate her class.
She seems hard at first but don't get intimidated because going to class will help on the tests. She has a quiz bowl the class before a test to help groups get a little extra credit. No attendance isn't mandatory but it helped a lot even though her tests are open note. She loves what she does and would take her again if I could.
I am taking the class online. Bible uses points instead of percentage and while I did try to do well on all the quizzes, tests, and assignments I also realized that I didn't have to do everything in order to get an A. There are deadlines but I was able to finish each unit about two weeks before the deadline. Oh yeah, no discussion board :)
Awesome Teacher. you actually learn in her class. Gives extra credit from time to time. You can use notes on her tests, but it does not necessarily mean you will pass. You do have to understand the material!! Attendance is mandatory. Youtube videos :)
She is the best teacher ever! You have 3 units and a test over each. The third unit test is the same as the final, not comprehensive. She has a quiz bowl the class period before a quiz to review for the test and gives tons of extra credit. You have to complete a portfolio which is what gave me an A. Take her she's great!
I really liked her class! Not a class to slack over though! Have to do a lot of work! You have to study the material even though you can use notes on the test. she gives a quiz bowl group game and gives the points earned onto the test. I would take her again!
This class is worth taking but it is kinda fast moving. Dont miss class bc she covers a lot in 1 meeting and she wont remind you of assgnment deadlines. I am not crazy about history and was not a fan of the assigmnets like everyone else but I did like listening to Prof. Bible and some of the documents were good. My favorite was "Quiz Bowl"-FUN!
Took her for an online class 1st 8week its not that hard basically you need to read and read a lot. She responds to emails and she is helpful. If you read and study you will pass her class.
She is very nice. I really enjoyed her lectures. Her class is very labor intensive. I would not recommend this class with a full-time job, family and other courses. If you have these things take her class and her class only. You will enjoy her class a lot if you have the time to dedicate to it.
This is the best online class I have taken at San Jac. The lectures were super helpful and the unit discussions helped me see when I was misunderstanding certain events. I loved the Hollitz book! Take Bible!
Took the online class. Instructions and deadlines were very clear. Gives assignments with clear point values, so it's clear that you can pick and choose and make an A or B without doing everything.
I'm enjoying this class, very clear and easy. It looks like alot of work because she requires four books but so far this has been a breeze.
Easy teacher you get to use notes on the test but still come to class because she tells yo from her notes what to expect on test you only need the work book. She is very understanding and nice even though she may come off as mean !
She's loves what she teaches. As long as you review and take notes you will do well in her class. Open note tests and some small assignments. Easy to do though. She's helpful whenever you need anything also.
I took her class online for an 8 week mini. There was a lot of reading to be done but the course was pretty easy. She makes it to where you do not have to do every assignment. There was a book critique but it wasnt too hard. Overall I made an A in the class and I do not so a couple assignments at the end
This history class is not what I am used to or what I expected. You have to read a lot and she has many deadlines and will not accept work late. I agree iwth others thou, you dont have to do all the assingments and the grading is flexible. She is nice too
Took her class online and on top of reading 14 chapters in 8 weeks, had multiple papers due from companion reader. Hard work but flexible grading tipping in your favor. Must read in this class. Will register for part II from her.
Took her online class, she is very clear on what she wants and expects from her students. The class is hard though, its alot of work. Specially if you are taking 6 classes this semester, but none the less, I have never learned so much hist ever! So yes she is great!
This is the most extensive learning you will ever do for history. It is the most time consuming of all my six classes I took this semester. WAY too much work!! Worked my butt off, and still could not pull off an A. Had to do at least 25 assignments and she makes sure you read and study all the 4 different sources she uses for her class. HATED IT!!!
Gives a whole lot of work. If you are not a dedicated student, do not take her class. There is a whole lot of time management involved with the assignments she gives. She gives good feedback and is clear with what she wants. Just be prepared for the work load she gives. IT IS A LOT OF WORK.
SO hard. this class killed me. hardest i have ever worked for a c.
This was my first online course and it was difficult. Maybe it was the fact that it was a mini course with so many chapters crammed into 5 weeks! Other than that, I enjoyed learning so much. I was pleased with her grading system. She offers over 1,000 points in assignments and you choose which to turn in. I could've made an A if I tried harder :(
DONT TAKE IF YOUR TAKING ANY OTHER CLASSES! What kind of teacher gives you over 3 assignments/unit...not including exams? BS! I'm on Unit One, and I wish i could change professors. This is JUST History. I'm only taking it for the credit...
Class requires a HUGH time commitment. Im 53yo with a nursing degree. TX requires HIST for BSN. Ive not needed it in 53yrs. This is not the prof to take if you have a job or other classes. I think she's very enthusiastic, but forgets that people take e-courses because of time constraints. 2 weeks in and I used to dislike hist; now I hate it.
Painfully boring lectures, way too much work and asks stupid questions on the assignments. DO NOT TAKE HER!
I love this class! We have four weeks left but I already have an A. Prof. Bible makes it easy to learn history. I am taking the 2nd half with her.
she is very helpful and understanding. I was nervous about this class bt my group helped me and prof. bible worked with me to catch up. I don't know my grade but I know I am going to pass.
Highly structured and reading both books is absolutely necessary. Flexible grading and quick to respond to emails. I plan to take the second half with Bible.
Personally, the excessive reading, for me, made this class very difficult. However, Professor Bible is always willing to help you and clarify on anything you need help with. She's a really nice teacher and has high expectations of her students which strive them to do well. I think she's a great professor, just be prepared to READ!
Many chances to pass, minimal book work, lectures are somewhat boring. Nice, works with you, and encourages group work.
Helpful instructor , however exams do not come from lecture and she gives a heavy workload. Large part of work are essays and she has you work in a group quite often. Hated working in groups , I'd rather be responsible for my own work only. Only take her class if you have the time to spend on all her assignments.
Most organized online course I have taken in college! Bible is clear about the requirements and opens everything at the start of the semester. I have a kids and a job so I like to work in advance of deadlines and her set up made that easy. You don't have to do everything to earn an A either :)
Very Organized in her PowerPoint presentations. She makes you think and it brings this course alive. I will recommend her her to my friends.
I agree with some of the other posts here, there is a lot of reading but I really enjoyed the class. The workload is fairly easy and Bible is really helpful. Get the book early though because she has deadlines right away.
This class is easier than I expected. I am really enjoying the reading and the quizzes are easy because you can keep taking them to get a high grade. Everything is organized well. I would recommend this class to others.
WORSE HISTORY CLASS EVER. THIS CLASS KEEPS YOU BUSY ALL WEEK, ASSIGNMENT AFTER ASSIGNMENT. I TOOK THE ONLINE COURSE BECAUSE I HAVE NO TIME TO GO TO A CLASSROOM, BUT THIS ONLINE CLASS TOOK UP ALL MY TIME. IS LIKE YOU ARE NEVER DONE WITH THE WORK. NEVER WILL I TAKE HR AGAIN
Bible is very organized. I was worried about taking an online class over the summer because its only five weeks, but there were only a couple of assignments each week (mostly chapter quizzes) and she offered a weekly schedule each week, this really helped me stay ahead of the deadline to.
If you are taking her online expect horrible feedback if you have to ask her a question. I sent out emails asking a question over an assignment and she never gave any reply.
This course was very interesting to me. I liked the way she presented the material and I learned more than I thought I would. That being said, most assignments required writing and were not graded sometimes for weeks. It didn't help that not all assignments were not required to be turned in. Very time consuming with reading in the book and sources
Absolutely loved this professor. Really helpful. Grades pretty easy expect essays. Have tons of assignmentsreading to do, plus 2 main essays. It's a lot of work to keep up, but if you do all the assignments and participate in discussion you should do fine. I mean ALOT of work. But worth the A
I took her for the first-part history course and she was amazing. I signed up for her winter (spring) mini and participation was necessary to pass the course. She was very helpful and I really loved her power points! They were well constructed and very thorough! I did make an A! Definitely taking her again!
Professor Bible is amazing!! took her for two classes and would definitely take her again if i needed it to. EASY A'S ... Major group assignment which is probably the toughest assignment but as long as you do your work, no problem. Gives extra credit and also allows notes outlines and textbooks on exams. Most important great grading criteria. :)
she's truly a Gem among the rough, an excellent professor
This class is great, the lectures keep you interested and whenever you need help she is there. 1010 would take again.
Quite a tough grader, I was shocked! Her essay rubrics are not 100% clear, so prepare to rewrite after consulting with her. Also I will definitely inform you that you MUST use her sources or it's easy for her to claim you have a misleading topic and did not answer the question, though it may be definitely answered. Just use her resources!
If you're looking for an easy A, don't bother. She's the type that's like EARN your A get your A. I totally respect that but get ready to read! Her lectures are okay, not the best. I wish I would have chosen a professor that seems more enthusiastic about their job.
Lots of Discussions, lots of quizzes, and one 600 word essay. If you're a History major, take her. If not, I wouldn't bother. reading the ratings she seems good in class, but not the greatest online... especially if your taking a lot of other classes, her class will take up the majority of your time. I'd say shes pretty average. She is nice though
She was the first college professor I had and gave me a false hope of what college would be like. She kept lectures very engaging and was a great teacher overall. I would taken her again if I had the opportunity.
I was disappointed in this class. Bible did not keep up with grades which made it so hard to know if you made a good grade or not. She gave 3 tries on quizzes but you didn't know if you needed to do it again because she had fill in the blank and didn't grade until it was past due. Worst online experience. I do not recommend her.
Such a sweet lady, though at first comes off as super serious. I took her for 2 semesters HIST 1301 & 1302 and by the second semester she really opened up to our class. Wish I could take her again!
Favorite classes I ever took. I didn't really have to use my book, she put the lecture notes online and the test are off that. She went above and beyond to help, she was interesting, inspiring, incredible person. She posted grades and responded to emails quickly, she was willing to lend books, and gave extra credit. I cant say enough good about her
Power points seemed to be rushed when put together. They need to be in full detailed sentences. Why not add some links for further detail at least? The quizzes did not always correspond to the section so you won't have a chance to get the answer correct. Lots of wasted time on irrelevant material. "how to" class. Should be an intro class not 2000.
She is a good Professor, responds to emails promptly but there is alot of reading and it gets confusing at times. Extra credit was available(thank god) but test questions where a little more difficult. All in all no complaints but you have to work for your grade it is most definitly not handed to you.
She was the best!!! Her assignments were very clear and understandable. She would take the time to make sure we were doing good even encouraged us to email her with any questions. Responded to every email will be taking her again!!! VERY RECOMMENDABLE!!!
Great teacher, she really cares about what she is teaching and that is good. Clear cut instructions and responds to emails quickly. Gives extra credit and lots of opportunities for points, so if you miss a couple of assignments, do not worry, you can make them up with other assignments, but you have to do the work. I would recommend her.
Seems like she's passionate about what she's teaching but absolutely way too much work. I took her online and I had to drop the course.
Professor Bible made US History a breeze. She is very inspirational. She is always willing to help, responds quickly to email. You will have to write a paper but she breaks it down for you and makes it super easy. Offers a lot of EC opportunities. You do need to attend class.
Not the instructor to take online. Especially, of you're just trying to "Get basics out the way". She makes the class way to difficult and unbearable. Glad I realized soon a dropped before census. She even recognizes her online workload in her syllabus. Obviously, she must be different in class experience (ratings). Also, she's hot.
She's super sweet & chill, DONT skip class because she goes over a lot in a day! A bit of a tough grader but let's you know what you did wrong. Lots of reading you have to do but it's not boring! When she gives lectures, she's easy to understand & puts it in perspective, best professor I've had in a while. Highly recommend!
I FREAKING LOOOOVED HER, PLEASE TAKE HER SHE'S LOWKEY FUNNY AND IS SUPER HELPFUL
I took Professor Bible's class online, mind you I am a flight attendant and still passed with an A. She is an amazing professor and gives a lot of credit. She gives amazing feedback and answers your e-mail within hours. I would take her again in a heartbeat.
She's an awesome professor. She gives 4 exams, one paper. She helps with writing your final paper. Does give Extra Credit, really easy. She is amazing
She Is Amazing. She gives out Extra Credit, 4 tests (which are hard, but require you to read some of your book), 1 paper( she breaks it down so you wont procastinate), and her lecture is not boring. She does has notes you can download and just follow along.
Professor Bible is AWESOME. I took her online and she always responds to my emails on time. She gives so many opportunities for extra credit and she genuinely cares for her students. There was an assignment due every week but they were easy and she helps you along the way.
I took her class Spring semester 2016 and her class was a pretty average class for me. It was lots of note taking and group work. Although she says the book is required I never bought one and I took pictures of someones textbook about two times for assignments. On tests she let the class use notes but you still need to study to do better than a C.
I had to drop a few days in because she would post homework online and not tell us in class and the workload was so overwhelming I had to drop. I am an all A student with a science major and in a few days I was supposed to do more work than what was assigned for my chemistry and biology class? Um. NO
Professor Bible is by far one of my favorite professors out there, she was so passionate about history that it made you actually really care about the past. She had countless extra credit assignments and was always open to some extra tutoring. Would definitely recommend taking her! BEST PROFESSOR AT CENTRAL!!
Great class, 3 week mini is no joke but Mrs. Bible is a great professor. Would definitely recommend to all students on taking her.
Professor Bible was a good teacher and requested a lot of you. Lots of quizzes and discussion boards! If you aren't good at managing your time then do not take her online!!! I put easily an hour and a half a day into her class just to keep up and get decent grades.
Don't mind the numbers, they don't tell you why the prof is difficult. I want you to understand that she has passion for her work, just not how you would think it. If you're frustrated by how she teaches, talk to her after class in the classroom, she will help you. This class is not for the serious student, you can't learn everything about history.
Prof. Bible was hands down one of the best Prof. I have taken so far. She is so passionate about what she teaches & does everything she can to help her students pass. She does assign alot of work & homework but it was never difficult to complete or manage. Plus she gives her students LOTS of extra credit opportunities. Passed both classes with A's.
She's an excellent professor! Her lectures are very clear and she has a good understanding of the material that she's teaching. If you struggle with history, then I suggest you take her. It's not an easy A, but if you put the effort in then you will get that A.
I miss her already. The best professor I have ever had. I wish I needed more classes to take with her. She does give you a lot of work- BUT it goes over and some counts as extra credit. JUST DO IT ALL. I'm a C student most days and I managed to get an A in this class! She really gives you all the chances in the world to succeed. I love her.
She's the best professor I had at San Jac. You can tell she's very passionate about the subject and she want all her students to learn & be successful. She's a nice, lenient, caring professor. Lots of HW, Quizes, couple of group projects, but it's all very easy. This class is an easy A.
There is no reason to not make an A in this class. Mrs. Bible gives plenty of opportunity for extra credit. I took it online lessons were clear. She gives you until Monday 4pm to turn in your work so it gives you time to catch up on the weekend. She makes it clear on the syllabus the times she is available and responds to to emails promptly.
Mrs. Bible is a great professor! She has a specific schedule to follow so she is very organized with her assignments. At first I was a bit confused because her assignments are listed in blackboard so she expects you to know when they are due and sometimes reminds you of the due dates. She gave a few assigned essays but they were not very difficult.
Professor Bible went through the PowerPoints very fast, giving little time for questions or note taking. I understand that as a student, it is my responsibility to cover content not covered in class on my own time, however the amount of content that I had to cover on my own was not ideal for this class. She did however, want her students to succeed
This class was a little overwhelming. In addition to the textbook chapters that are required to be read, there are lots of additional reading and videos to watch. The tests cover the chapters but also the additional reading. She does give extra credit. If you have any issues, she's quick to respond to email.
Great teacher, really cares and is willing to work with you. But the course load is ABUNDANT. Get ready to read, write multiple papers, do research that's overkill for the course. She really does care, and is great with helping you and working with you. I'm not sure I would take her again though due to the amount of work requested of you.
The only thing I hated was the essay topics she chose that were not even aboit history.
If you are taking her online class for 1302 please just don't. She never responds to emails and everything is the students fault. She does not understand how to work discussion boards and there was not a single assignment that went well. Gave everyone a 1 on their essay until "fixed" and expected us to cram a million different things in 450 words.
I took Professor Bible for a five week summer class and regret it. Her grading criteria is a little confusing and also a hard grader. Take another history professor if possible.
She gives you multiple discussion board topics that are mandatory to respond to as one assignment . This felt more like a composition class than a history class.
Book is required. Pro. Bible gives worksheets and PowerPoints for each unit. She requires you to respond to three discussion posts per unit. During the summer mini she had us write two short essays. Overall she was fair on grading, responded to emails, and gave good feedback. The class was tough but if you put the work in you'll be fine
She is not organized, her class is very complicated.
Great class, very helpful. Her lectures were detailed and interesting. I like that she offered extra time if we needed it.
This class made me think about stories my grandparents tell me. I like that I have more knowledge about their past and I can talk to them about it. I was surprised to learn so many new events and disappointed by the fact that this history really isn't ever discussed.
I like the way Prof. Bible teaches history. 1301 and 1302 seemed similar and the assignments were not hard. You do have to use the databases a little more than other classes. There were group discussions and projects in both classes. She gives you time to revise your work and is flexible on deadlines.
Well, she was okay. I had every answer on Quizlet almost. But I had an emergency and could not take the exam because I was in an airplane but she did not listen and did not open the exam for me. Never replied to emails on time sometimes there were no replies
I wish I never had Prof. Bible. I love history and she ruined it for me. I stopped caring about history and just wanted an A. Her grading is complicated and makes little sense, her tests are very difficult, essays appear on tests, and the final essay is awful. She gives low grades and doesn't explain why. Worst professor. Just find a different one.
Great professor! Shes super easy and very understanding. As long as you do her assignments then you should be fine. Her tests are online. A textbook is required, but I never used mine.
The class is very organized. She provides a "course map" where she outlines all topics, files, assignments, due dates. You can see exactly where every assignment is in the course. I am taking five classes and each class is organized diff. It is nice to go into a class and know exactly what to do next.
very very helpful professor, she definitely wants you to pass and cares.I took her in an 8 week online class, we had 1 essay and about 7 quizzes.
I have taken Prof. Bible for U.S. and Mexican American history, and I wish she taught more classes. The online course was clear, the textbook was free and online, and the lectures included voice so you could hear her talking. She responded to emails quickly and gave extra time for assignments. I love her classes.
I received a C because it was my fault I did not check on BB that mi final needed to be done before a certain time so I rushed through it so that why I received a C if not I would got an A shes really nice if you need help she will help you just talk to her I would definitely take her again she is really nice just do her work and you will passed
I took her for both history 1 & 2. Shes a very good professor that actually cares about you passing. I recommend her to everyone I know that needs a history credit.
Ive seen students who took her online vs in person and it seems that she is better in person. The online class had a ton of work and was a little tough! She is a very sweet and caring person and will do anything to help her students pass!
Professor Bible was amazing. She did voiceover for her lectures and it helped tremendously. I have always hated history class but Professor Bible made it so easy to enjoy and learn.
She's an amazing professor. She pushed me to be my best self. Class was long but so informative and educative. She has all PPT ready before class. I did the best that I could. I would recommend to take Comp1 before taking this class bc the final is grated as if you're an expert in in writing.
Professor Bible is a good professor. Her class sessions are mostly lecture so they can sometimes get kind of slow, but they have information that is not in the textbook. You have to focus on the signature assignment paper and research, it makes up nearly half of your grade. The quizzes and tests are all short, open-book and easy.
a lot of discussion boards. but she gives you an extra cred option
I want to take more classes with Prof. Bible. She teaches many viewpoints and did not sugarcoat history like in high school.
Honestly, she is the best History professor. She gives a few assignments, and quizzes. The main thing is the research paper. All u have to do is follow the instructions and u are good. Her class is super easy and she is a cooperative professor. I took an online class with her, but she is truly amazing. She is definitely recommended.
Took her 8 wk class, Gives alot of resources info to complete the assignments. I would advise to mk sure u keep up with all the assignments. Overall, doable class for 8 wks . Responds to email questions quick & gives u feedback on work.
I took the online 3-week summer mini-course. Able to finish in 2 weeks. The textbook is provided online, no additional purchase necessary. All the assignments have a purpose. Quizzes aren't totally searchable by google, but everything is straightforward according to the text provided. 10/10 recommend if you've struggled in Hist 1302 before.
Took her 5 week summer class and she was phenomenal! Consisted of lectures with included study notes, textbook reading for additional information, easy quizzes, and an essay. She was very understanding and cares for her students' understanding on the topic being discussed. For the essay, she gives feedback but it's relatively easy. (500-800 words)
she is a 10/10 professor very nice and respectful. you will have to read documents and its not that bad it's just for the group assignment for that day. she is understanding and very good on grading I would take this class again if I could. the test and quizzes are not hard so don't stress I would recommend taking her for history.
TAKE HER ! YOU WILL PASS WITH AN A ! She is no understanding and gives all the resources needed to pass. I felt she graded on attendance and participation which was an easy 100. All quizzes where online. You do have to write one essay at the end which is in every history class you will take. She is awesome!
Professor Bible is one of the best professors, I've took two of her classes and passed both with an A. She essays are lengthy but nothing you couldn't handle. She's a great professor and always willing to help!
This was one of the most well organized courses I've ever taken, you can tell a lot of thought went in to her course and how to make it as streamlined as possible for the students. Some of the assignments were pretty challenging, but she is a fair grader and is clear with what you need to get an A.
This professor is great she is very kind and caring, her class is not difficult at all I would most definitely take her class again if I could
I took professor Bible's class for one semester, during this time the only assignments were related to the library, rather than the course materials. Getting used to using the library was helpful but I found it to be a waste of time in terms of actually learning the material.
I loved being in Professor Bible's class. She was an amazing instructor who was clear, honest, and understanding. She made History easier for me to understand.
I had her for an online class but she was really easy, especially when you just want a easy grade. A lot of work but it is an online class but the assignment are really easy she even responds to your emails within 24hrs. Even helps you to understand the assignments better. Great professor.
She is one of the best professors I have encountered. She goes into detail in her lectures and makes notes easy. She gives a lot of extra credit and is on the student's side. Professor Bible does everything she can to make History interesting and easy for the students to pass the class. I would take this course again if I could.
She is literally amazing!!
Overall, professor Bible is very insightful about the subject and has class participation during lectures. Lots of in- class activities that consisted of reading historical sources. She can sometimes be monotonous, but never rude. I would reccommend her class.
She is lecture heavy, but doesn't give much homework or tests. As long as you show up you should do good in the class.
The assignments are straightforward, but the tests can be challenging. The due date for each assignment is clearly communicated. You'll have two attempts to take the unit exam test. Besides, she offers extra credit for completing the school survey. She also provides feedback on the final essay and allows you the chance to change your grade.
Professor Bible is one of the best online professors I have ever had. Her grading criteria is very clear, and gives students as many opportunities to succeed in her courses. If I could take her for every subject I absolutely would!!
I took an online class. It was very easy to email and set up Zoom calls if needed. She gave multiple attempts if needed. Overall, as long as you do your work, you should be able to pass the class.
Prof. Bible is organized and will meet on Zoom to help answer questions. I was able to get to know my class because the discussions or "peer belonging" chats were set up to help us connect to others. The material is interesting and not difficult. Great prof!
Professor Bible is understanding and ensures students can pass the class. Usually, every week consists of a quiz on 2 chapters and a discussion post. Theres also an essay due at the end of the term. I appreciated her kindness as well.
Prof. Bible's class is the easiest history class you will ever take! The only grades in the class are textbook chapter quizzes, showing up to class on certain days, an easy paper and final presentation. The class requires very minimal attention during lecture. She is an easy grader and accepts work late. She is also very caring and understanding.
Possibly the easiest class I've ever taken, quizzes are open notes making them practically impossible to fail. The class is lecture heavy, but I found the way she teaches to make the content extremely interesting. She's also very caring and understanding of students. Definitely look forward to taking another class with her.
Prof. Bible was great! I took her online class, and it was really easy compared to other online classes. You do have a group project and an essay, but other than that, everything else is easy. You'll have a quiz and discussion every week, and that's what your grade will consist mostly of. She is clear with her grading and accessible through email.
This class was actually pretty easy and she's very understanding. She told us attendance wasn't mandatory even tho it was online so it didn't affect my grade at all. 10/10 Recommend her!
Professor Bible's teaching practices are incredibly satisfying. The workload was manageable, and there were hardly any reasons to reach out. When I did, the response time was prompt. The instructions were straightforward and easy to comprehend. Additionally, the extended due dates of approximately 10-15 days out were a significant advantage.
