very hard professor but tries to give the students the experience and if you buckle down and study you'll pull off an A.

I will defend this woman to the day i die. She is sincere and genuine. She really cares about you if you give 100%. She knows her anatomy and her husband Archie is one the luckiest men alive. Probly one of the most beautiful women in the world!

Extremely hard, but if you show her that you are serious about her class and if you go for extra help...she will help you.

yeah, she's tough, gand gives a****load of HW, but it can be done. If you do ALL the studyguides, all the lab HW and supplements, you can do well. Also, go to the science enrichment ctr., she checks the list every monthe to see who'd going there.

Dr. Desroches is difficult but rewards effort. Study every day if you've elected to take the summer class. Otherwise stay on top of your Glu-glu's!! No pun intended and you'll do well!!

Her bark is way worse than her bite. My advice: don't bother using the book except to look stuff up. Don't bother doing study guides. Write down every word she says in class and study that; that's what's on the test.

She's hard as hell, but her class is really interesting...I've learned so much from her--but I had to study my ass off as well...good luck if you take her for a & p!!!

Tough course that requires discipline! Not impossible though! Desroches expects you to follow her lead with enthusiasm, and discipline. Challenges every student. Only a class for the serious student, the rest of the jokers, take sociology!! Highly intelligent lady - top banana

class is tough, but she knows her stuff. The class takes a lot of your time and be prepared to work all the time.

Go to the Science enrichement center. There are books there she gets test questions out of, she checks the attendence and will remember your name, and respect you more. Again I can not stress enough how important going to the science enrichment center is.

She is tough, no doubt about it. She comes down hard on you to motivate you. Some can handle it, some cant. She'll try to shake you up and get rid of you. You'll want to quit, stay tough. Good Luck.

i resent what some ppl are sayin about dr desroches she is ver y helpful and i have had her in the summer and for both my a&p's you just have to be up to working i love her and she is the BEST teacher when it comes to biology and a&p she know her stuff just be ready to work if you choose her.

She is very strict but if you do all your work and pay attention you will do good. Especially if you go to the Science enrichment center. Go there and study hard you will be fine! Just dont slack!

The best professor at willie p. She is fun, can be mean. She pushes you and has high expectations of her students. Work is hard, but the class is doable. You just cant be lazy. She works hard for you and she expects you to work hard for yourself. Shes a little cuckoo but really expects the best of her students.

i really like her. her tests were pretty hard but what can u expect form a summer class?? she keeps class active and interesting. gives extra credit for going to SEC. very interesting class, first bio class that i actually liked!! i highly suggeest her over leonard.

Desroches is reason why I'm in Biology. Truly an amazing woman, with a vast wealth of knowledge and an awesome personality. Not going to lie- the hardest professor you will EVER have, but trust me, the bark is bigger than the bite and if you really want to learn what she has to offer, you will excell. Hang in there; the best ride you'll ever take.

OMG hooked on ebonics... anyway Dr. Desroches loves her students and her field and makes students uphold a standard. It takes medical doctors years of learning, certification and acclimation to learn the human body.. it should fall in line that head-to-toe A&P courses require discipline and hard work. Desroches is a vixen!

OMG!!! She is tough and will pick on u in class!!! but she is the best she wants u to learn and understand. she is very caring and always pushes u to reach ur goals!!!Make sure u do everything what she wants!! Dr. Desroches is a stern teacher yet she treats students as if they were her own. With Dr. D its like a love hate relationship cuz ya either luv her or hate her. I would advise that if u are not interested or serious in the sciences dont get yourself involved. I personally enjoy the sciences so I didnt have too much of a dificulty in her class

Awesome professor, Dr. Desroches lectures are funny, and full of factual, useful information. A very demanding teacher, but if you study and do your work to your best ability, it will not go unnoticed. Gives many opportunities to pass, so there is no reason to fail this course, Those who fail this class are just lazy or uninterested.

She is cool. You must study alot in order to be successful in her class. If you dont know your stuff she will get on you and make u feel bad.She gives you alot of extra points to pass the class. So its up to you to pass or fail. Just take notes and come to class and you will be alright!!

She is a great teacher, the only reason people say she's hard is because they don't know how to follow directions. She tries her best for everyone to succeed and she even invented the science enrichment center which people dont take advantage off. TAKIN DR. D WAS THE BEST DECISION I MADE...SHE IS VERY HARD BUT IF YOU STUDY AND GO TO THE SCIENCE ENRICHMENT CENTER YOU WILL PASS....EXTRA CREDIT IS WORTH IT!!! She's a great teacher who really wants you to pass. Does everything in her power to help you as long as you do what she asks of you...its not that she's a hard teacher and just that the class is hard but she makes it fun and easy

ok the class is very hard but its not her fault. she teaches it very well and you learn a lot which is great. Tutoring helps so go. She also gives tons of extra credit to boost your grade. It's not impossible, just study and keep up with your work and you'll get by. Oh, try not to ask questions cuz she will make you feel like an idiot!

Dr. D is a very good prof. I wish I had taken her for A&P 1, she has to be the most helpful Prof. I've come by, shes very strict but that doesnt bother me at all, just do what shes says, study, and go to tutoring and you'll be fine. Dont ask any questions and try not to answer any questions, l0l! she will not hesitate to embarass you.

An extremely helpful teacher. Just pay attention and study the notes and this course is not nearly as hard as it normally is. She will embarrass you, but it isn't a personal thing. Highly recommended.

DR.D IS VERY SMART AND VERY UNDERSTANDING. There's a lot of material covered and you need to study every day (study guides are very helpful). If you do that, the material is very easy to understand. She also gives take home quizzes every day that can add up to ten points on each exam. She made the subject much more interesting for me.

real tough but a great professor gives u every possible possibility to pass bearing on u doing your work. be in class everyday and take home and in class quizzes serious cuz they r extra credit on the tests. also save all of those because between those and the essays they make up 90 percent of ur test. one word of advice go to the SEC!

Do not take this class if you are lazy, and looking for an easy A. You are to be the complete opposite. It's a very difficult class due to the large amount of material presenting each day. However, there's tutors, and study sheets she gives which makes it so much easier to study for the exams. She's though, but has your best interest at hear. Take!

Dr.D is a very interesting teacher. She's very enthusiastic about what she teaches. Even though she seems full of excitement; she is very strict, when it comes to material. Be very cautious when answering her questions, if you don't absolutely know the answer, just keep you head down (trust me). Textbooks are only really used for her lab classes.

Had her for Bio118 and Bio119, she is the reason I am now a Biology major. She is hard on you but she is extremely knowledgeable of anatomy and if you put in the effort, attend class, go to tutoring, do the take home tests and do them well, and study her lecture notes, you will succeed. I can honestly say I LOVE DR D

Dr. D knows her material but is one of the hardest teachers I've ever taken. Her accent takes some getting used to but eventually you won't even realize it. Exams come straight from every homework, inclass quiz, and essay studyguide. Class requires a lot of effort and time but she DOES reward you for putting in the effort. Likes students who care.

She is a tough grader but she gives every grade deserved. Her lectures could be hard to understand but homework and quizzes are what make up the tests and if you study and put in the effort you will get a lot out of the class with her. I truly feel prepared to take on advanced anatomy now.

C'mon guys, i don't know what's really wrong with the other reviews. So listen to me carefully, TAKE DR. DESROCHES! Class is easy breezy and you know why? The professor is THE MOST HELPFUL PERSON in the world. You go ask her a question and she will answer you with the most flattering smile. Also STRONGLY encourage you to answer questions in class.

At first she was very overwhelming, but she is one of the BEST profs I've ever had. She gives you everything you need to succeed. U NEED to put in work, A LOT of work. 3 exams and then the final. She will make sure you know your information. If you try and do all the hw and challenges you will get free points and get a good grade. IF you do no know what you are saying she will roast you. Very fun teacher and wants you to pass . TRY and you can easily pass. a lot of people will fail.

Dr. Desroches is my best recommendation for anyone looking to take A&P 2. You will definitely come out of the class feeling like you actually know the material. Dr. Desroches is extremely intimidating on the outside but she truly is a nice person. Her class is hard and she expects you to put in a lot of work outside the classroom, but if you do what she expects you will succeed. Go to the SEC and do all her challenges, all my tests were raised from a C to and A because of the extra credit. Great women.

Dr. Desroches is an incredible professor but if you do take her, get ready to study A LOT. Just study the notes, read the textbook, do the homework, go to the SEC, do the challenges and you will be fine. I didn't take her class seriously and honestly should have deserved a lower grade but she does provide a lot of opportunities to get extra points.

Look; if you are not ready to put in TIME and EFFORT for this class, you need to switch out. Yes shes a tough grader, yes shes intimidating, but she CARES. The amount of extra credit she offers is AMAZING, I went from an F to B- on one exam... please do your work! All of the exams come from HW and study guides. She loves her good students.

DR. D will teach you everything you need to know about AP. She will also make you work harder for your grade then anyone else. If you want to learn take her. If you are looking for an easy A it won't happen. 1/2 the class leaves or fails. Go to the SEC do every challenge and be ready for the insane test essays. You will pass if you put in the work!

Dr. Desroches is the best anatomy professor. I am a nursing student at another school that took A&P I and II with her last summer and I felt so much more prepared than the other students at my school. Although her class took up my whole summer (12 weeks, no break, studying everyday monday-friday I was at wpu from 8 am- 4-5pm) I am so glad I did.

Dr. Desroches is the best professor I had at WPU. She teaches Anatomy very well that will prepare you for future courses. Be prepared to work very hard because she is not an easy professor. Definitely, go to the SEC. If you are a nursing major, I would definitely recommend you to take her because you will feel prepared to take Advance Anatomy.

Dr. D is the most caring professor you can find on campus specially for Nursing. She cares for her students only if you show that you are willing to try and give your 110% efforts. I had her for 3 semesters in a row and I couldn't be any happier. DONT LISTEN TO PEOPLE NEGATIVE COMMENTS AND DISCOURAGE YOU! She gives more then 100 extra credit pts.

She is a rough teacher in terms of difficulty. . She is funny and her lectures are quite informative. The biggest issue I had with her was the difficulty of the practicals and quizzes she gave. In order to pass her class, your best bet is to literally study everything she went over. All in all she makes you work really hard and learn the material

I took her for lab & lecture & I absolutely loved her. Theres a quiz everyday. Do the challenges ON TIME which are homework. For each lecture exam go over all the slides, study challenges & chapter homework (IMPORTANT), & the daily quizzes she gives back. I passed every exam by doing so. Lab practicals are easy if you study slides and real anatomy.

Dr. Desorche is an intense professor, but a great A&P professor medical related majors. Her exams are long and extremely lecture heavy. However, she truly prepares you for clinicals and advanced courses. Tutoring and SI are a must. She's blunt, but it comes from a place of care. If you put in the work, you'll thrive in her class.

Is she tough? Yes. Will you work your tail off? ABSOLUTELY! But 9 times out of 10 if you're required to take her, your major/ career path is just as difficult and rigorous if not MORE. She cares. I didn't like it much at first either but trust me when I tell you she cares about you doing GREAT not just well. SEC, challenges, & study, study, STUDY.
