It's a requirement that you do your speeches when it's due. Points will be deducted if you have more than 3 note cards. Attendance is a must as well as using your book. Please be punctual!

I received an A in this class. Very well taught. There were many group exercises that we did just to get the overall concept of what she was saying. Just study for the tests and give decent speaches and you will do well and have fun. Never wear a hat or jacket when you are giving a speech. She takes off points for that.

5 in class graded speech presentation. 4 tests. No homework, quiz and no papers. Powerpoint presentation easy to follow. Will do a exercise to review the test before it beings (review from the test questions) Not hard to pass unless you dont show up to class.

I Just finished her mini-term speech class and Ms. Stagg was Great. She's really cool, helpful and down to earth. We took 4 test and we had about 6 speeches. EASY A!!! Just prepare your speeches and you'll do great. You DON'T even need to buy the book the Powerpoint notes are all you need. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone.& yes she is pretty

This is a Speech Class, so public speaking is the majority of the course. Honestly, we do so many group assignments that you don't feel nervous and you gain confidence to speak. It would be wise to take this class with your friends, it could reduce some nervousness.

She is a great professor! The reason this class is difficult is because she does not spoon feed as many are used, study! I recommend studying the powerpoints and buying the book if the powerpoint only explain instead of giving examples. A very fun class, bashful people are able to open up, and participate, this is a speech class, it's to help you

Ms. Stagg is THA BOMB! Helped me with my anxiety towards public speaking and just an all around great teacher and person! I can't stress enough how awesome this lady is!! She's inspirational too because she's so young and does so many things, she's the assistant chair of communications at HCC and the Speech club director AND teacher! AMAZING!!

Super easy-A class, long lectures, you might get bored but EASY EASY EASY. only like three presentations you have to make, one paper, and two tests- the midterm and final.

She's very clear on what she expects in your speeches. The in-classes group exercises are fun. I made a lot of friends in class because of all the group discussions we got to do. You need the textbook to get respectable grades on the midterm & final. Follow ALL her speech rules, don't be abovebelow time and turn in your speech outline.

There's only two test, midterm and finals (50?'s) She gives reviews for both and everything that's on there ON THE TEST!!! Her class was amazing! There are group projects, if you don't work well with others you would have to step out of your comfort zone. I learned a lot. If I decide to take a communication class I would take her again.

Trust me, she is one of the best/nicest/easiest Profs.! Introduction to speech: 3 presentations (prepare well and you will get 90+). She gives handouts and power point as a test review. Tests are multiple choice with familiar stuffs. Be prepared for group projects. No book actually needed. Your calls but highly recommend!

I took intro to speech and she was cool. She would ask us question so that we could interact with our classmates. Majority we would have homework after every class but it was on eagle online an she gave us example on what to talk about. U had 1 test and midterm & both was open book. Don't go to sleep in her class bc your going to miss assignments

I loved this class! Yes she's gives pop quizzes of 5 questions on what you revised previous class. Study a bit and you'll be more than perfect! Very helpful and cares for her students. Fun and education class!

A very patient professor who is hardworking, gives timely feedback on all assignments in person and in eagle online, and you will learn a lot as well as participate a lot to get all your extra credit points. Great class structure and this class can relate to all daily life functions, I learned so much!

I had mrs. Stagg for a mini 3 week summer course and she was amazing. Super friendly and nice, she will give out extra points if you're not trady or absent for the semester. It was 3 speeches 1 group project and 2 tests. If you study the material you'll pass. I would recommend mrs stagg to anyone who needs to take speech.

Professor Stagg is one that you will require class participation in. This is actually fairly easy since she cultivates an environment that makes you feel at ease to do so, important for a speech class. Even if you are not a skilled speaker, you can still get an A as long as you put in some effort in class, and she will help you become better.

While this subject was not enjoyable to me, I found the professor made the course bearable. Overall the class load was what you'd expect for a speech course. As a single, working mother, taking courses at night, I found her criteria for recording the speeches extremely cumbersome. However her grading is very fair and feedback very helpful.

Of all professors I have taken online, Prof. Stagg is one of the best. She's clear about assignments and criteria. She's usually on the ball when it comes to grading. Her speech recording requirements are a tad strict (and kinda put a crimp on my style), but I have no qualms recommending her highly.

Professor Stagg was an incredible teacher. Had her during summer 1 and for the most part was easy. because it was only 5 weeks we had speeches due every week. But i made it with an A because of how easy she was. TAKE HER!!

Three major individual speechs, one midterm, one final, one major group project and a mock employment interview. This class was challenging for me because I'm an introvert but this class did help me open up more and not be so awkward lol ! Prepare for speeches cause they are timed!

Assignments included Introduction, informative and persuasive speeches as well as a group interview, final group project midterm and final. Follow instructions and you get an A. Only used the book for test reviews. Participation is graded.

Prof. Stagg, best class that i took this spring semester was a hybrid class though. But her class was so fun to go to, she gets you moving and talking all the class will talk,her lectures were pretty good and will make them understandable for you to learn. Three speeches Explanation, Demonstrative and persuasive, hard at first but easy at the end.

Dr. Stagg is hands down the best professor in HCC. So far you put in the work. It's not an handed down A. Do the discussions, show up n class, prepare for your speeches and you are sure to pass.

This class is 50% online. She has everything set up with alerts and due dates. She responds to emails pretty quickly. There are tons of extra credit options and as long as you present your speech and participate in the online discussions it is an easy A.

Took hybrid. Super fun class. 3 speeches. Online exams/assignments/discussions. Tedious online assignments but easy. Dnt really need the book. Attendancegrades. Gives good feedback. I had her for DC (dual credit) Speech and she was amazing. All her ppt are accessible online and you can talk to her after class if you need help. She does give "pop" quizzes here and there 5 speeches, all with a clear rubric and clear expectations. 1 midterm and 1 final (if you maintain a 95+ in her class, you're exempt from the final) 10/10

Great professor who genuinely cares about your efforts in the class. In hybrid class -- assignments are spelled out clearly, plenty of assignments to make a good grade & even gives extra credit (perfect attendance, attending school events, xtra credit work). Speeches, online discussions/assignments, & quizzes are the main course work.

Danielle Stagg is a wonderful professor. You will never regret taking her class. I took her public speech class hybrid, enjoyed the whole semester. Very clear and understandable assignments, presentations, and online tests. I would take her again and again.

Prof Stagg was a great teacher. I took a minimester and had no problems with the course. She is super polite and helpful. Course overall is quite easy. With COVID, speeches have to be recorded, but that at least gives you a couple tries before submitting it. Overall, highly recommended for a dumb class like speech.

Professor Stagg's Public Speaking online class was a breeze for me. All the assignments and coursework were easily laid out in neat modules. The textbook wasn't required for the class but all the content was in easy-to-digest PowerPoints. She also gave nice feedback for our presentations and is an easy grader. Ms is great, one of the best teachers i've had. She's funny but also strict. Puts in grades quick and she also gives great advice on assignments. She understands that the world isnt perfect and will help you out the best she can with tests, speeches, etc. I 100% her public speaking class, makes public speaking actually easy.

This class was harder than I thought, but I ended up learning a lot and really enjoyed it by the end. Professor Stagg has a clear framework for what she expects and she grades fairly. Just be sure to do your best, otherwise you won't do well. And even though it's online, you still have to make a few speeches on camera in front of an audience.
