I loved History of American Women, she made the content relate to current events as well as talked about older history. 3 books required, all used (2 novels for book reports) and a history book for the tests. The amount of study work for the class is obscene. We were reading 160 pages a week and watching 2-4 hours of documentary. And that's not even starting on the actual graded assignments. She is a very nice person, and was very good and open to communication. So if the study load won't bother you go for it. But if you struggle with studying, avoid.

This class is a lot of work, but it is manageable. Professor Swiontek is pretty clear about what she is looking for in the discussion posts, and once you have that figured out it is pretty easy to achieve a full score every time. Her lectures can be pretty long, and there is a lot of material to read through. She accepts late if you let her know.

Class was really straight forward. Reading summaries and discussions every week. It's not hard work but it is a lot. You read 2-4 very long articles every week and have to summarize each, so the textbook is a must. No tests and/or quizzes, and the final is a reflection paper that isn't to difficult prompt and requirement-wise. Just so much reading!

An extremely caring and sympathetic professor. There is a bit of reading/videos to watch, but the workload itself is very light. There are no test/quizzes, and the final was a very easy (made to be stress free) essay. The only graded assignments are summaries and discussion boards. The class is structured very nicely, 10/10 professor!

She is a super sweet teacher, definitely passionate, and cares a lot about her students. The content covered was interesting and watching documentaries and videos were some of the highlights of her course for me. You just have to be on top of the assignments and quizzes she gives and it'll be easy to get an A.

I took the online history class and it is very well organized. There is a lot of reading/writing but she is very accommodating. Anytime I had a question or needed help she would respond back in a timely manner. Be sure to keep up with all the assignments and the class should run smoothly, I would definitely recommend her as a History professor.

Great teacher who deeply understands the material she teaches. Very forgiving with late-work and gives amazing feedback on larger assignments. I took IWGS online and the reading load was decent, but the homework per week was next to none, usually just one reading reflection and one discussion. Take her class!!
