Mr. Dunne is an awesome teacher! He's funny and entertaining. He's helpful and friendly. I took him over the summer and we had to do a 2 page essay every week, but he wasn't a very hard grader and you were given a lot of freedom with the essays. The rest of the class was pretty easy as well, but not too easy.

Mr. Dunne's English 1A class has been one of the most fun classes I have taken so far. He's an old hippy, so he keeps things laid back and interesting. There is a minimal amount of reading, so if you like to write, this is the perfect class. His writing assignments are based on styles, and he's very flexible on topics.

If you can learn on your own this is the class. You spend class time watching movies, not learning mythology. If you are looking for a class to skate through this is the one. I personally was disappointed that my only class instruction was from movies. I would have taken it online if I would have known that.

Totally groooovy teacher! We watched excellent films, not old crappy quality ones. Homework and essay's are a piece of cake. You have to go to class to get a homework paper, so if you miss it, you can not make it up unless there is a good reason. I would recommend to anyone wanting a good simple class.

This is a very easy class. We watched many different types of films. You NEED to be there every class though, he does not give out the assignments to students who ditch the movie. Since a lot more students are taking his classes he has cut down the paper work tremdously. He is very funny and likes to see his students succeed.

This class is SO easy. You basically come and watch movies and fill out a worksheet. He has some tests but most of ours have been out of the book. He tends to over-talk ALL THE TIME but he is super cool and i really love this class.

if yout take his class for a grade then its really easy his test are the same as the study guide their an essay and a project he doesnt really teach though he get the students to do it for him with the projects. whould have liked him to lecture though

I took Mr.Dunne's Mythology course and I hada great experience! He has hands down been the best professor that I have had as of yet at Delta. Not only is he a great person but he makes class fun, intersting, and is overall easy. Take his course if you want to learn without the worry about getting a poor grade. All he requires is that you try!

Great guy. He is so genuine and kind hearted. Very approachable but you probably won't need to ask questions. A bit of a hippie... Lol. We watched movies like "the wall" and "across the universe" and "the shining". But a few newer ones also. He's so laid back. He is easy to take advantage of and because he is nice he won't kick out students that are talking CONTINUOUSLY. So be careful you aren't one of those kids the whole class hates. Overall, awesome guy awesome class.

Don't expect to get an easy A you will have to work at getting answers, but hey they are all open book tests. Enjoy the movies and take some notes, learn something and use it for future classes.

I had Mr. Dunne for Film as Lit. and Mythology and one word that describes his class is EASY! He's a super chill teacher and he barely gives out any homework. Just a couple papers and quizzes in Film as Lit. and a project and quizzes in Mythology. TAKE THIS CLASS!

I had Mr. Dunne for Myth. and Film as Lit in Spring 2012, and I absolutely loved both classes.He's very easy-going, and always willing to help if you don't understand something. When I first met him, he intimidated me a bit, because he gave us a "I don't like high-schoolers" speech, but I think that he changed his mind by the end of the semester!

EASY, gives study guides and the exact same answers are on the test and if you look hard enough the answers to the study guide are ALL ONLINE, lots of movies but don't think its all for fun there may be a quiz afterwards, the movies are good, he's awesome and completely laid back has some good stories, one big group assignment and two essays.

First off, I took this class to fulfill the humanities requirement. Seemed a bit overwhelming at first but got easier. Each class session consists of either group presentations, tests, or a movie. There is 5 tests and a final. First test is open book and the others you are given a study guide. Only 1 essay besides the group one. Good class to take!

I took his eng30 class over the summer and it was easy. We did need to use the textbook for the chapter reads. All of his tests are open book. Only one term paper. Really enjoyable class.

Professor Dunne was one the best English instructors I've ever had, but be prepared do the assigned readings. It was fun to watch movies about Greek Mythology, especially Perseus, The Odyssey, Hercules, and Percy Jackson. I also enjoyed being in a group project. Professor Dunne dropped the lowest test scored allowing me to receive an A.

Mythology(Greek) - Eng038 A great teacher. Super laid back and caring. Super easy and interesting class to get through and very little homework( about a page of what you watched in class). One group project/presentation that was quite simple to do. Would take Mr. Danny "Wizard of Mountain House" Dunne again!

This class was very good, you watch movies and see them from a different perspective. There's about 4 test, and one big essay that is half of your grade. He lets you redo the essay to get a higher grade, big on respect and wants to help every student out as much as he can.

Professor Dunne is honestly one of the only professors I have ever met who is extremely passionate about the subject they are teaching. You will understand what I mean on the first day of class! Showing up is important if you want to pass as he is very strict and will not let you give assignments to your friends who skip class! Movies are great!

Professor Dunne, also known as Mr. Mickey, is probably the best professor that you will have. He is so kind and truly understands how tough it is being a student. Just make sure you do your work on time and he's fine with that. Even on days with heavy traffic, he doesn't care if people come late or miss class.

This class was really fun. You put in the effort you need to get an a. Just be aware of the book you need because I got the wrong one. You might also find it online. Additionally, just make sure to go to the meetings because of updates and presentations. Presentations, tests, and essays are the core of the class.

Very insistent on attending meeting or at least watching the lecture videos, you can also earn extra credit by joining early/on time. Passionate about film & lessons are pretty helpful. One paper/assignment per movie + paper on chosen film. Just do the work on time and watch the lectures. Required textbook has to be new to access videos for tests.

He is very funny. The assignments were easy enough to understand and complete. The best part about this class was the presentations. My daughter was elated when she would see Professor Dunne on the screen with his funny hats and the room he streamed from. I can't wait to take another one of his classes.

To be honest I kinda procrastinated the whole class but even then it was still really simple he highly encourages you to joins the zooms but I had an in-person class whenever we would do the zooms so I just had to stick to watching the recordings of the calls.

He chose movies that were fun and engaging. He started every zoom meeting with a song that got his students to get in the right mindset. His lectures though long sometimes were fun to attend because he would always dress in some random thing.

I enjoyed this class so much! Every week we would watch a new film, and had an assignment attached which consisted of some questions regarding symbolism, plot, etc. The final is an analysis essay on a film of choice, he gives a lot of time to work on it before submitting. Very easy to keep up with and he is very easy to communicate with as well!

Great teacher! Gives clear instructions and due dates which have enough time for you to do them so doesn't do excuses (our responsibility in college). The movies were interesting and kept the class fun. Super easy as it was more opinion and fact base if you watch the movies/lecture you won't fail. if you can't make the class he records it for you.

I absolutely love English 30, and it's all because of how easy and caring the professor is. Its very straight to the point, he's very clear on the instructions and just overall very great films that we all watched in class. I am definitely taking a class with Professor Dunne again!
