The man is incredibly interesting. Its actually hard to not pay attention to him. Knows how to relay difficult information in a simple way. A+++++++ teacher in my book.
Awesome teacher!!! Best i ever had. He makes class so fun and he always knows the perfect way to relate a problem to everyday situations. When you make your schedule, start with Eddy then pick other classes that fit around him!!!
One of the best teachers of our time. He will relate concepts to you and he's a funny guy. Anyone who can make me laugh at 8 in the morning has a gift. He sets the standard for teachers at tech.
Mr. Eddy is easily one of Tech's greatest assets. He relays difficult materials but at the same time is funny. He is rather hard not to pay attention to. If you have to take chemistry do everything to take him.
Really cool. I love his experiments, he makes me actually want to learn about chemistry. At least a little bit.
Great teacher. He makes chemistry interesting at 8 on a Monday morning. He doesn't mind telling jokes, setting stuff on fire, yelling down the hall, or making funny impersonations. Study for his tests, pay attention in class and you'll do good.
Great teacher, interesting, makes chemistry fun. He keeps your attention in a way that is rare among professors.
Great teacher! Funny guy who makes chemistry interesting with experiments and jokes. Build a schedule around him.
he was the best teacher i have had thus far, his voices are entertaining and he likes to do demonstrations in front of the class
Mr. Eddy is an excellent teacher. He makes the class interesting and the subject matter clear.
He is an American.

A fun teacher that keeps his class interested in the course. His quizzes are very easy and helpful, but his tests are a little difficult because they sound like they are those stupid textbook-generated tests. Overall, a great teacher. Highly recommended!
reminds me of the old boxer on Mike tysons Punch Out with the good hook shot but other than that cool guy
Excellent teacher. Easy to understand and makes class fun. His tests are medium difficulty. Make sure you do the owl, and it will help a lot on the tests. Does a lot of expreriments. Highly recommended!
Mr. Eddy is great! He is very clear about what is on his quizes and tests. And even sometimes lets us work 2gether on quizes. Owl is required but its very helpful for the class. He is really interesting and makes class fun. Take him 4 any chem class you can. He is well worth it.
Best chemistry teacher at Tech! Great guy, lots of help. Take him if you can.
Roped me back into liking Chemistry and being interested. He has so much energy and is incredibly helpful. Great great professor and one of my favorites since I arrived.
Mr Eddy is a great professor. He makes class a lot of fun and easy to understand. He is extremely willing to help anyone who needs it. It is extremely encouraging to have a Christian professor!
GREAT TEACHER! I would recommend him for anyone. He is probably the best teacher that I've had at Tech. Go to class, pay attention. Go to his office if you need to, and you'll do fine.
hes wonderful!! he loves chemistry and it definitely shows! i would take him in a heartbeat!
If you go to class, you should be fine. He really makes an attempt to make you understand stuff. Too bad he doesn't curve on any of the tests, at all!
The best chemistry teacher ever! I only increased my love of chemistry. He teaches the material very well and he gives quizzes often which help your grade a lot. His tests are easy if you have a grasp of what he's taught. Awesome teacher...would take him again if possible.
Eddy is the man! I learned more from him in a half-hour in the lab than a whole week from my classroom professors.
great teacher, allows makeup work, sets something on fire almost every class which is helpful at 8 am.
Great teacher! Tries to keep the students' attention throughout the class by setting things on fire and doing various examples. Very minimal memorization required to get an A in his class. Outside of class hes a very friendly man, never have I heard of him being inhospitable to a student.
GREAT! a very interesting teacher i would SO take him again!
He is really an excellent teacher!!! I love him!!! He makes Chemistry interesting....he is very funny!!! When you need help he is there to help you anyway he can whenever he can. He gives out quizzes, but they are really easy along with his test!!!
GREAT TEACHER! One of the best teachers I have ever had. Makes class very interesting. Also makes sure that students are understanding the material. The quizzes are very easy, but you need to study for the tests.
He is very interesting and always willing to answer questions. Quizzes are easy and the tests are somewhat easy, as long as you study. Definitely take him if you can!
THE BEST CHEMISTRY PROFESSOR AT TECH!!! If you can take him....take him!!! Always willing to answer questions and help you out!! Quizzes are easy...and test are too as long as you study.
Mr. Eddy is my favorite teacher! He is really funny and makes chemistry not so boring! He does a lot of little experements with fire :) and tells lots of jokes. Definately take him if you can!
Awesome teacher, really fun and easy to understand. Really makes Chemistry exciting and interesting. Make sure to do the OWL homework and you'll pass no problem.
Really knowledgeable and helpful teacher. 3 tests, 6 quizzes, OWL. If you stay on top of your studying and go to his office if you need help, you should be able to make an A. He's the best chemistry teacher and I would recommend taking him for all the chemistry's he offers.
Eddy's brings comedy into his class with his bizarre sense of vocal sounds, making his teaching style a very interesting learning experience all in its own, and to top it off, his class is major easy. Two thumbs up!
You will LOVE mr. eddy!! he is so fun! he has so many different voices he uses when he teaches! and if you love to see things get lit on fire take him!! i highly recommend him! he's awesome!!! and i dont even like chemistry but i actually didnt mind going to his 8oclock class!
best thing since sliced bread. can't wait to have him for 101.
Amazing. I didn't do so hot because I really didn't go to class like I should have and tried to rely on high school chemistry. Really helpful, 3 tests, 6 quizzes, OWL. Stay on top of OWL and you will do fine. Wish i could retake to go to class more often. An A would have been easy to obtain.
Mr. Eddy is the best chemistry teacher I have ever had. He uses analogies that make perfect sense to help people understand what's going on. He makes chemistry easy, but I am surprised at how much I learned.
He's one of the best chemistry teachers at Tech. Definitely take his class.
The best chemistry teacher ever! He is really good at keeping the class's attention with werid voices and impersenations. He will always answer any questions. Just go to class and listen (read the book some) and you'll get an A if you're smart at all
The best Chemistry teacher ever! He will always answer questions and keeps the class's attention with weird voices and random experiments. If you are smart at all, go to class, and read the book a little, you'll make an A.
He is so interesting and funny, he keeps your attention and is always doing something crazy. He likes to talk in different voices. He explains everything well and his tests are a piece of cake if you just listen in class and look over the notes he gives you. Best chemistry teacher!
He is the best chemistry teacher. Very enthusiastic about his class and keeps everyone's attention. Take him for Chem 100, 101, and 103 if you can!
I have Eddy for lab, and he is great! He is funny, so he keeps the class' attention during lecture, and gets straight to the point! He will help you if you need anything, and is a pretty easy grader. I would take another one of his classes any day!
Best Chem teacher ever. He keeps classes interesting. He relates the material very well. Do the owl and pay attention in class and it's an easy B.
GREAT TEACHER....EASY A.....
Take Eddy. Over any other chem teacher, take Eddy.
Eddy's a great guy. He's fun to be around and makes learning interesting. he keeps the class interested in what he's trying to say and will help you personally if you go to his office. Don't be afraid to ask questions! Take this man if possible.
He's a really great guy, and always willing to help you get the material. However, the notes are completely useless. His whole tests are math, formulas, and conversions.
Mr. Eddy is an AMAZING teacher! He makes the class super interesting which makes it really easy to actually listen and learn. If you go to class and do your OWL you'll make an A for sure!!
Great teacher. He made a boring subject interesting to me and I always looked forward to going to class. He has a sense of humor and relates to his students very well. I highly recommend him.
He is a great teacher. I learned a lot. However it takes some getting used to the way he teaches. He can jump all other the place and leave you very confused. If you go to his office he is very helpful with OWL and antything else. He tells you waht sections will be on the test and as long as you read over the sections and do OWL you got it.
Mr. Eddy is awesome. He is friendly and loves teaching chemistry, which makes the class a whole lot better. His tests and quizzes are fair.
Eddy is not a great teacher like his rating suggests. He is very unorganized & hard to understand. He treats college students like they are still in high school, expects students to know concepts before they are even covered, answers questions with "look it up in the book" drills you on units & significant figures. no extra credit
Loved Dr. Eddy. he made the chemistry concepts easier to understand. always willing to help students if you go and talk to him in his office. you must study for his tests, they are a bit difficult. overall i loved his teaching style and think he's one of the best general chemistry teachers a Tech.
Not the worst instructor, but certainly not the best either. Bizarre lectures, and waits until the day before an exam to teach essential material. Tests are NOT easy by any means, and are very difficult to study for. Decent with bonus points, but far from fair.
Eddy is hilarious! Just give the man some respect, and he's a great guy who you can easily get along with. This basic chem lab is super easy, just do all the prelabs. Don't talk over him or play on your phone while he's explaining things. Oh and skim over the lecture material, because he does appreciate it when people know what he's referring to.
He is an awesome teacher! Ask questions if you don't understand and he will explain. He is entertaining and funny and kept my attention which is kind of hard to do especially at 8AM.
Mr Eddy, not a doctor, but don't let that full you he is a GREAT teacher and as long as you pay attention in class you will do fine. He is extremely fair and knows that material well. He is also loads of fun and keeps your attention.
TAs teach the lab and he lectures before them, but he is really funny, clear, and helpful.
Good teacher, helps students as well. Teaches the material in ENGLISH, which helps to understand in terms of everyday language.
Mr. Eddy is a very nice man. He knows his stuff and he genuinely wants to help you learn chemistry. I had him at 8 o'clock and he kept my attention. At least once a week, he would catch something on fire. He talks very fast so if you have a question, stop him. I am definitely taking him again!
Eddy is great at grabbing your attention. As someone with no real background in Chemistry, I had trouble in his class--he was all over the place all the time. I went by his office with some questions and he gave me sarcastic responses. Had to drop the class to avoid failing.
Mr. Eddy can be very off the wall and often rambles, but he genuinely cares about his students. Once you get used to the energy, he is a very good teacher. I would GLADLY retake his class if I needed to. Hope to have him again for Chemistry.
Mr. Eddy is a very nice professor. He's very animated and loves to play with fire(literally).Very helpful, willing to stop and teach you something if you don't understand.Studying is mandatory if you don't know Chem. well.Tests tend to have a lot of math. He does use the text(beneficial) and does take attendance.I recommend people to take his class.
This is the second quarter I've had him and I have learned so much from him in chemistry 100 and 101. He is hilarious and very helpful. He does talk fast but he's very clear. I wish he was teaching 102 because I would happily take him again!
Probably the hardest tests i have ever taken so just get ready..... you think you know the material till you actually get to the test!
He keeps you constantly entertained throughout the lecture. He responds well to questions and will make sure you understand before he goes on, but it's up to you to speak up. His homework is minimal and online. I did the first 5 weeks of homework in 2 hours on the night it was due. Do the work and show up and you'll be fine -maybe office hrs 4 some
Very thorough teacher! I came into chemistry with absolutely no understanding and have made high A's, but I did have to study for them. If you are willing to put in the work and studying you will definitely be rewarded! He also is very nice about letting you retake quizzes if you bombed them or missed that day. Definately taking him again.
He's super weird and funny!! He made my 8:00 enjoyable! Does lots of cool demonstrations! I am taking him again for a lab!
I am terrible at chemistry, but Mr. Eddy helped me so much. I had to go to his office a lot, but totally worth it. He even let me take over every quiz I did poor on to let me get 100's! Material, to me, was hard but he did everything he could to help you understand. Wonderful teacher, wish they all cared as much as he does!
He's great. I had him for an 8 am, and I enjoyed attending his class. He would frequently blow things up, so that kept things interesting. He is a pretty dry guy, but he always answers your questions and lets you retake quizzes you didn't do well on. I would definitely take him again. If you put in an effort, you will definitely pass.
Overall the best Chemistry Teacher I have ever had. He is so helpful and willing to explain material. He gives the students chances to make up the material. He also helps anyone with homework even in his off hours if you are in his class or not. He is someone I would continue to take. Recommended.
Super hilarious guy who makes attending class not miserable at all. Only catch is that his test consist of three exams and if you fail one then adios to that A. In order to make an A you have to study and if you really wanna do well you should read because he adds alotta terms in his tests that can only be found in book. Super nice guy though.
Dr Eddy is a tough professor and it is really hard to get an A. He will help you if you need help but sometimes he doesn't really answer the question you are asking. He is a very funny guy that loves to explode things which makes class interesting
Mr. Eddy is a really great guy. He cares that his students learn and likes to be asked questions in class. I don't think he takes attendance, but it's hard to do well if you don't go to class. He's always in his office hours and is willing to explain concepts to you. He lets you makeup missed quizzes. And he does cool science tricks in class!
Mr. Eddy made Chemistry less awful. You have to put in some work, but he is ready to help when you need it. He's very personable and understands how to get you to understand the material. Chemistry sucks, but it sucks a lot less with Eddy.
His tests are easy but overall there's nothing particularly amazing about his teaching ability. I understood the information but it was really just a review for me. I would take him again if there weren't any other options, not bad but not overwhelmingly good either. He likes to light things on fire though and that's fun.
He's a great person and a good teacher, but his tests are not easy. He doesn't go into specific detail of what are on his tests so you have to read the chapters to do well on his tests.
Eddy is an awesome professor and he makes chemistry enjoyable. Attend class as much as possible--he usually says or explains ideas in the textbook in a much easier fashion. If you ever need anything he is very willing help and make time for students. STUDY for tests, even if you think chemistry and the material is cheese, studying pays off.
Overall, I really liked his class. It can be rough if you are learning this material for the first time or you dont come to class or study. Easy otherwise. He keeps the lectures interesting!
Good professor overall, however, his lecutures can be really long and boring. He tries to keep the class entertained, but, that proves to be a challenge for him at times. Will have to study for his exams as you would a math exam. Practice. Practice. Practice.
His lectures are hilarious, but can be a bit boring at times, however, he is always willing to explain anything. He loves to help people and loves what he does. I recommend taking one of his classes at least once. I'll definitely take him again.
he's a great teacher and funny guy. he got mad at me multiple times for having my laptop out, though i wasn't sure if he knew i was taking notes or not.
I love love love Mr. Eddy. He's very visual. I have him at 8am, and I honestly don't mind. One time he made a dinasaur breathe fire lol but my super helpful. He's also very straightforward on test material. He cares about his students, and always makes sure we understand the material before moving on. I'm taking him at 8am next quarter also.
This man is the highlight of my 8 am. I promise he makes it worth it to get up and come to class. He's really good at teaching, although he jumps around. The only way you can fail is if you simply NEVER come to class. He's very punny and has many stories too.
Really cool teacher. You print your own notes and he'll fill in the blanks on them during his lecture. The material is simple but he makes it interesting with his great character and humor. The lectures are very comparable with a comedic routine. He'll answer any question even if it has a simple answer or if he just answered it for someone else.
Eddy is a great teacher who cares a lot about his students. He is very punny and his lectures can be pretty entertaining. My only complaint would be is he goes through things very quickly as if you should already know the material that is being taught. Although, he is very willing to help outside of class.
Eddy is a great teacher if you have a good chemistry background. He expects you to learn the periodic table. All in all he is a great teacher, but you have to work hard to pass his class
It took me about three weeks to get used to the fact that Eddy can never stay focused on a topic for more than three minutes. Once I adapted, it was easy to learn. He was a great teacher who was very concerned about his students learning the material. His class prepared me well for his tests. I hope I take every chemistry I need with him.
Eddy is a fantastic professor. Though most of the material for the class was pretty boring and simple, his teaching style really encouraged me to get out of bed for 8:00 AM lectures. The three tests you take are fairly simple, but make up the vast majority of your grade, so be careful to make sure you do well. I'll take Eddy every single time Ican
Dr. Eddy goes above and beyond to make sure that his students not only make a good grade, but that they learn the material. He is almost always tutoring students, and encourages you to come to him for help. His class is difficult, like any other chemistry class, but he works hard to make sure you understand it. I've taken him twice, and loved it!
For a Chemistry Lab, he's great. His short lectures were engaging and easy to understand. The class itself (CHEM 103) is very easy as long as you show up, but Eddy's lectures were very funny and easy to understand. The second gold-standard Chemistry professors.
Dr. Eddy was great. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't know anything about chemistry. He has helped me so much. He motivated us and pushed us to really understand chemistry. There were homework assignments, lab assignments, and one final. And the final wasn't even weighted heavy, it was 10%, so if you are not the best tester you will do just fine.
He took the lab very seriously. Safety was his number one concern, which was appreciated. He would not tolerate anyone being on their phone while he was directly going over lab instructions, because if they didn't pay attention then they could hurt themselves or someone else. The class was easy and fun.
I loved having Mr. Eddy as a teacher. He is passionate, very helpful, and makes chemistry more enjoyable. He truly cares about his students, and usually offers review classes before the tests. It helps to print out all of the handouts he posts online, and to work the review problems from the textbook that he outlines in his study guides.
Dr. Eddy is a smart man, but he doesnt teach his material very well. I do not recommend him.
I loved Dr. Eddys class! You can tell he enjoys what he teaches and teaching in general. He always tries to relate the material to an example that students can comprehend, even if it proves to be difficult. Would recommend for someone who struggles with chemistry or has never taken a chemistry class before college.
He gives good lectures and study materials. I had to study quite a bit for his tests. Make sure you fully understand the material.
Pretty good, although some of lectures drag on. He tells you exactly what to expect on the tests, so no surprises there.
He is a great professor to have overall. You might have to put in some extra work because each test(there is only 3) really counts. He tries to be funny, usually, he is but sometimes his jokes are just corny.
I understand that I almost failed the class...... but that was my own fault, I'm terrible at chemistry and missed a few classes. He made thing interesting and fun. I would absolutely take his class again just do a few things differently.
He is a great teacher and is very easily accesible for help. I'm taking him online and he gives all the information needed to pass.
hands down one of the best professors ive ever had, he actually wants to interact with you and help you learn the material. he encourages you to reach out and definetly tries his hardest to make a difference in getting the material across to you!!
Eddy is a nice person, however, I had a hard time staying focused in his class because he would get off topic so easy. He jumped topics a lot. I had to get a tutor for this class to pass with a B.
I took this class online and it was very hard to understand half of the material we had gone over because he would scroll through documents and give little to no time for students to take notes.
Dr. Eddy was a good prof that answered questions well and is willing to work with you if you're not understanding the content.
Very nice and funny. Kinda passive aggressive. Sometimes forgets his audience and that they need to be taught. He goes through the notes very quickly and its hard to keep up. Takes attendance. No textbook required for chem100. Homework is helpful. Listen to him, and ask specific questions.
He's a good guy, but he gets off topic very easily and is hard to follow.
Great person, but if chemistry is not your strong suit, the lectures can be confusing. He is always willing to answer questions, so be sure to ask. If you dont have a crystal clear understanding of the content, you will be confused on the test.
Mr. Eddy is great. Your only grade is 4 test, but they are relatively easy. He is very willing to help you in class and outside of class. Do not let the 4 test scare you, because it really is an easy class if you put in effort and go to class. I knew almost nothing about chemistry and have done really well.
Dr. Eddy was a great professor! I was worried I wouldnt do well in Chemistry, but he made it very clear and easy. Hes also funny which made an 8am class bearable.
Mr. Eddy is one the best professors I've ever had! He's unbelievably kind to all of his students and cares so much about how well his students perform. He will do anything that he can to make sure you get the best grade possible and is very entertaining in class. He also prints out the notes for you! he gives you more time than class on tests too!
TAKE MR. EDDY! He is an amazing teacher and makes his lectures fun and interesting, which help in keeping you awake at 8am. His tests are really easy if you study the material. He shows care for his students and their knowledge of the material he teaches. He even hosts study nights sometimes before tests for everyone to come and ask questions.
Mr. Eddy is the best Chem 100 professor. Tests are easy and he teaches very well. Definitely recommend.
Eddy was a funny guy, but he tends to jump around ALOT in the lectures. People would ask many questions during class, but when it came time for him to answer, he wouldn't really answer anything and then say, "does that make sense?" Honestly, at some times, I wish I was teaching the class so the students in there would get their money's worth.
If you go to class, ask questions, and pay attention you will do well. He gives you notes, and works through example problems in class. He deeply cares about his students and their grades. He is also a pretty funny guy and does experiments in class to help student better grasp real world applications of the material. Can't recommend him enough!!
Very clear lectures that were easy to follow. Made learning a difficult topic very accessible. Also very funny!
Mr. Eddy was very easy to understand, he explained things in a way that made sense. He is also very funny! The tests are the only grade, but he prepares you well. Lectures are entertaining and there's usually a fun chemistry demo he'll do to explain a process.
A nice and funny guy - he sometimes gives out a bonus question for the exams and gives you printed notes so you can follow along with the lectures. I did find it difficult to follow what he was saying in class sometimes, and he would say that we didn't need to know something for the test but then continue to talk about it, but overall he's great.
My favorite teacher by far. Follow his study guide and do practice problems on Aleks. He made me love doing homework. If you stay after class he will help you understand anything.
Mr. Eddy is a great chem 100 teacher. He makes you feel welcome to ask questions and his lectures are excellent. Definitely take him if you can.
His class was often boring and hard to follow along with. Since his lectures are pretty boring its hard to remember the test material, along with there being no homework, tests really make up all your of your grade in this class. His guided notes are helpful but sometimes they are just as confusing. He often uses examples not given in the notes.
One of the best professors here at Tech. Very knowledgeable about chemistry and is willing to help each and every student. I went to his office hours just about every week and he makes sure you leave knowing what you were struggling with and does not make you feel stupid. He is very respectful and I could not thank him enough for all of his time.
Eddy is a lively prof, but can be disorganized. Attend class, take notes, and use Unstuck study for practice - it really helps with the material.
Very funny and brings life to an 8am lol. Uses either experiments or pictures to explain in his lectures. Provides notes that you can print out and fill out to follow along in class.
loved eddy! He is great at explaining what is going on in his class and gives out guided notes to follow along. I wish I had him for the next chemistry! Try your best to get in his class because it will be a breeze and as long as you do the homework you'll be fine.
Professor Eddy was an amazing chemistry teacher. His test were easy in my opinion and had no homework. He has notes/worksheet posted online that you can print off and do in class. As long as you pay attention and participate you will pass. 10/10 would recommend!
Eddy is amazing! Apart from being an engaging teacher, Eddy has a great personality. He is very funny and loves what he does. The tests are exactly what you study. Make sure to do the problems out of the book that he gives you on his chapter notes. He does give bonus on exam one and exam three. Also, he is very easy to talk to.
He's hilarious and a great teacher. However, he really wants people to participate in his class. Also, keep him in your prayers.
Professor Eddy is an amazing teacher and is incredibly engaging. His class is extremely easy if you pay attention during lectures, and he really only takes grades on the ALEKS homework and exams, which he does thrice during a quarter instead of having a midterm and final. 10/10 teacher.
I really don't have much to say. He is all around a great teacher.
