Great teacher, made tests hard so she could curve like 20 points and the project was easy. It was okay to miss class sometimes and she kept class very enjoyable. Definitely a good teacher to take for foundations.

Ackall is the best choice for this class. Tough grader and even tougher human, but can be nice and funny. Group project is a ton of work but as long as you do the work you will get a good grade. Tests can be difficult, so study hard.

People give Ackall a bad rap, but she's actually really nice. She cares about the students in her class and is always good abut answering questions and clarifying things. There is one big group project that is graded pretty hard, but its not the end of the world. Make sure to read and do online quizzes and study study study for tests.

Better of the two evils. She gets a bad rep but Professor Ackall is actually very helpful and teaches the material well. Her tests are very hard, but you can get A's because of her curve. She practically does CapSim for you if you go to her office hours, so do that. She's challenging but the better professor.

Ackall does her best to make the class enjoyable for everyone. Attendance is mandatory, as there are participation grades every week, but if you participate in class it is an easy grade booster. Just be respectful, participate, and follow the rubrics and its a pretty laid back class that is not difficult.

She is very particular on how she likes her papers, and you have one once a week; however, they don't take a lot of time to complete. The class is fun because it is mostly discussion. She tries to make herself super available to help and responds to emails fast. Nice lady who really wants you to do well if you put the work in.

Professor Ackall is a great professor. If I were to describe the class to someone, I'd say that the class isn't the hardest at all. The only issue I had was APA formatting, but once you get that down, the class is great. All discussion when in class, and small papers to write outside of class. The class was fun. The professor really made you as the student think and we had meaningful discussions in class. The homework was honestly not that bad. It's about what you would think for a college class. We wrote quite a few papers but they weren't really that bad. I enjoyed the big group conversations that we had.

Professor Ackall's class contains many day-to-day group discussions. During the class, you will read many different articles about business. This class is very much teaching you how to analyze and critically think. Along with discussions, you write 3 papers throughout the semester. This class has taught me a lot more than I expected too.

If you go to her for help she will walk you through exactly how she wants the paper to be written. BUT if you do not come to class your participation suffers A LOT. Also, you have to do more than show up, you have to speak up but she only calls on like 5 people so you have to insert yourself. You take notes Monday before class but its easy to do.

I can not describe how great Professor Ackall is! I did not check her RMP before taking her class and am very surprised to see her score was only 3/5, I was expecting 4.5+. I took Ackall for Managing People & HR. She is very accommodating to her students. She is very kind and a great teacher overall because she is so knowledgeable on the subject with her past experiences. You are graded on 8 papers throughout the semester and 3 tests.

She lays the ground rules at the beginning of the semester and you better follow those. She gives lots of extra credit opportunities and I actually ended up not having to take the final. Lots of papers, yes, and she is a tough grader but let her help you and you'll greatly improve.

Very engaging class. AMAZING Prof. She is incredibly smart, and organized. There is a small homework assignment once a week, sometimes none. Some say she is a tough grader, but if you pay attention to the rules class is easy. She wants you to pay attention and understand the topics. She is very easy to talk to, and has been very helpful for me.

I think overall this class was pretty easy. You have an assignment due once a week that does require reading but nothing crazy. Participation is a very big factor in your grade so be ready to talk in class. She is a tough grader but if you just do what she wants on the assignment you can get an A. 3 projects that are pretty easy.

Dr. Ackall really makes class engaging and forces you to actually think and participate. She is an extremely tough grader which gets frustrating on the weekly assignments. 3 Group projects throughout the semester that are progressively worth more. If you participate and work hard on the projects an A is achievable but it will require work.

Though I would not take her as professor ever again just because of how harsh of a grader she is, she was very funny and made the class very enjoyable. I also learned a lot in her class. I recommend speaking often in her class so you can earn easy participation points, and follow everything she tells you to do on assignments to get a good grade.

As an outgoing person I built a good connection with her, so I always looked forward to going to her class, however, if you are introverted and do not like participating, Ackall is not the teacher for you. 90% of classes are open discussions, but I had fun with them.
