Mrs. Palmer was awesome. She wanted us to understand the material and would thoroughly explain things if we did not understand. I think she is a GREAT teacher.

I took Palmer over the summer and really enjoyed her class. Obviously 310 is pretty difficult, but she is funny and keeps things interesting. The course is demanding, but the projects and quizzes help your overall grade. If you prepare for class, keep up with the material, and work additional problems from the book, you will be fine. Study a lot!

Was her first time teaching tax. Did a good job explaining and giving examples. Online quizzes every chapter-must read because they are VERY hard and have a time limit, there are some work out questions and some multiple choice-google the multiple choice questions. Only three tests, they are very hard. Attendance isn't required but is very helpful

One of my favorite professors, I took her over the summer same time as the poor rater 7/24/15 & she was more than accommodating. Loves if you go to her office hours & show you care as well as particpate in class. She'd rather you be vocal and wrong than quiet and right. She uses abstract examples that help get the point across if you are struggling

310 is obviously going to be a hard class no matter what, but Ms. Palmer goes above and beyond to help you understand the material. Her lectures and in-class examples help you to learn the material. Her tests are tough but she prepares you very well for them. If I had to take this class over I would take it with her again.

AC 210 isn't fun for most people, but Mrs. Palmer was an amazing teacher. She won't baby you, but if you work you will get the grades. Liked her enough that I changed my major to AC and I'm taking her again.

AC 310 is tough, but if you go to class and ask her for help it makes things much easier on you. She genuinely cares and is always willing to help. If you take her class, make sure you ask questions and listen, because she'll remember that an help you not only in the course, but outside of it as well.

Mrs. Palmer was really great and made the class as entertaining as possible. AC 389 isn't tough, but it does take a lot of work. You'll have to work for it regardless of the teacher, so you might as well take a professor that makes it entertaining.

Take Mrs. Palmer!!! She makes this class as fun as it can be and is pretty hilarious. Also she does a really good job of explaining the material. She gives mock exams as extra practice before the actual exam which really helps with the material.

Daphne is the bomb. Highly recommended. I had her for two of my accounting classes. Take it from a senior accounting major. You will not find a better teacher at UA. The fact that she does not have a 4.5+ on here baffles me.

Mrs. Palmer did an excellent job explaining the material. She definitely gives you all the study tools you need. Worst part of the class is Project 3, so pay VERY CLOSE ATTENTION in class. She is very entertaining and funny. She makes you work for your grade so if you put the effort in and show up and actually learn the material, you'll do great.

The projects in this class are a lot of work, but she goes out of her way to help you as much as possible. If you go to all of the classes, participate, and put in the normal effort for an upper level class, she will do everything she can to help you get a good grade. I did not test well, but after every test she went over everything with me and gave me tips on how to do better. she was always available for office hours and made an online class very easy to adjust to!

The material in this class can seem a little boring, but she tries to make the class interesting by connecting the material to the actual workplace. AC 210 is a hard course but Palmer is the best professor to teach it. She cares about her students and actually wants to see you succeed. She will take attendance randomly but not for credit. If you don't show up to class you will not pass. Lectures are long but she helps students stay engaged and interested in the material. 10/10 recommend.

I absolutely loved AC 210 with Palmer. She is caring, funny, engaging, and explains things well. There are a lot of assignments and a lot of people struggle but reading the textbook before class helps a lot. If you want to pass attending class is very necessary. BIGGEST advice i can give for Ac210 is READ THE CHAPTERS BEFORE class and familiarize urself with the material. Accounting is different to learn but easy to do once you UNDERSTAND it! You will want to prioritize this class!! Daphne is great and inspirational.

And a heads up, tests do make up 75% of the grade, the quizzes every Friday are difficult but you get a few drops, and the homework can be really difficult but help for the tests.

It's a hard class but Palmer puts in the effort to make the content easily understandable -- just meet her halfway and you'll be fine. Your grade solely reflects your effort in here. The information is not easy but she explains it well. You have to go SI sessions, homework, and extra credit. This class isn't an easy A. As long as you put in the effort, you will do great.

This is not an easy class, but Mrs. Palmer wants to see you succeed and you need to use your resources. SI sessions and Smartbooks are extremely helpful. She posts filled out notes on blackboard and holds review sessions. Labs and pretty difficult but study in advance and ask for help! I would take her again for sure!

Definitely go to class even if AC-311 is stressing you out and she's very understandable when it comes to this. A very relatable professor and approachable. DONT wait to the last minute or it might be too late, especially when it comes to the projects. I would say the class is overall very balanced

I took this class online, I usually have trouble in these kinds of classes but her lectures were great. this class was easy to follow and she seems to really want you to learn and succeed.

AMAZING,had her for AC210 this summer. Class is easy if you watch lectures, do the homework, and smart book. Tests were multiple choice and easy, the quizzes were the hardest part, but you get drops. Also, smartbooks are extra credit, and so are some homework and quizzes. Her lectures were interesting and she did well at communicating concepts.

Mrs. Palmer does quite well at teaching material, however you're taught new material almost every class and expected to have a quiz in lab later in the week. It feels overwhelming at times but as long as you go to study sessions and get all the bonus points she gives you. You should be fine. She makes accounting interesting, would recommend.

I took Lloyd and Palmer and I can say with certainty that Mrs. Palmer is a far better teacher who treats each student like her child. Her class is easy to understand as the semester goes on and you start off with 7% built in on your final grade. It is a lot of information in a class but she gives a ton of EC if you do all your assignments/quizzes.

BEST PROFESSOR! She is so caring and knows her class is challenging but she tries to make it as easy as possible. 4 tests, 10 quizzes, one project, and homework every week. As long as you do the homework and understand it, you'll do fine in the class. It is the hardest class I have taken at Alabama, but that is not because of Daphne.

There are plenty of opportunities to boost your grade through extra credit opportunities, so even if you aren't the best at Accounting, it's not difficult to get an A. AC is heavy for most people, Mrs. Palmer does a great job of instructing though and the class very much made sense for the subject, I did not feel like it was overwhelming at all, except for the exams which requires a lot of studying but are not at all impossible to figure out. Would take again.

Whether you like Mrs. Palmer or not, I think she's the only teacher who actually makes me excited to go to class. Overall, the class is a moderate difficulty, but if you just do what you're supposed to do, an A is very manageable. Mrs. Palmer always says, “Try your homework without your notes,” and honestly, that's the best advice she's given.

Couldn't say enough good things about her. Yes accounting can be hard but she makes lectures funny and engaging as well as giving more than enough resources to pass the class. Professor Palmer was the only class that I would go to that would genuinely make my day better. Accounting isn't an easy subject, but she makes the learning entertaining and keeps us engaged all class long. Her personality is awesome, and if you don't give her a reason to dislike you (which is hard to do) she truly shows how much she cares.

Accounting 210 is not an easy class but Palmer makes it so much better. Lectures are amazing and she was the reason I actually woke up and went to class at 9:30. Has a lot of extra credit built into the course that will help your grade. Accounting requires a lot of outside work and can be time consuming but would 100% recommend her.

Daphne is an amazing professor. My advice is to do all the extra credit assignments, I would have gotten a C+, but with all the extra credit I ended up with a B. In general, take this class serious and study for the labs, because it will help if you have bad exam scores. LOVE Daphne, she makes the class fun, she's also easily accessible.

The subject Mrs. Palmer teaches is hard for some people and that is completely understandable. You have to put in effort and if you don't you won't be successful in this class. Go to class pay attention attend help sessions if needed. I averaged a 91 on the exams completed all the extra credit and still finished with a high A+
