Professor Sicre is a fantastic professor, who is truly dedicated to her students' performance. I have seen her take time after class to work assidously with students to help them prepare for their assignments. She's a fine professor and terrific mentor to all who are priveleged to take her class.

Very seldom are you able to find a professor who can change not only the way you see a class that you would normally be wary of but also changes things within yourself. Prof. Sicre is that professor and much more. She is interactive, fun, funny, and makes the class not easy but fun in such a way that it makes the work seem a breeze. Truly Amazing.

I got to say I am really bad at giving speeches and I even took the class because it was a req. but after taking Prof. Sicre class, I changed my mind because she is an amazing instructor very energetic, she is very helpful and loves teaching, I took her last semester and I was impressed with her enthusiasm, that I wish I could take her again :'(

I hated public speaking, until I took her class!! She makes EVERYONE feel comfortable, she laughs when someone tries to make a joke (even tho its not funny), she is just so sweet and great. It is not an easy A, you must follow her instructions. But if you do, you will do great (always be on time or you will miss the quizzes)

Get to know about the world that we all live in, and who we truly are dealing with the masks we all wear. All books are on black board. Prof Sicre is one of the best professors I have taken. She provides you with all the necessary tools for you to prepare for you speeches. Since I took this class in the winter, it was very intense, but through this class, I am more confident in my speaking. She is very helpful and had us send outlines before class to provide feedback. I do think she takes the 100 class a bit too seriously but it's probably because I'm not a theatre major and it doesn't interest me much but other than that you can see she loves what she teaches and although I'm not a theatre major, I definitely learned a lot!!! Definitely must take her if you want to learn and earn an A!

Hands down the best professor at BMCC. Very helpful, very funny, she will always give it to you straight up. She makes sure everyone is comfortable. She gives quizzes every time theres a reading due, so make sure to get the textbook. The quizzes are very easy, she lets you use notes on a separate sheet of paper to use while taking the quizzes.

Professor Sicre is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to theatre and passionate about the subject. Most assignments can be done early bc everything is already on blackboard. Quizzes are all open notes and the questions on the final came straight from the quizzes. As long as you do your work you will do well in this class.

Prof. Sicre is the best professor in the universe! Loved her speech 100 class so I took her advance public speaking class just for the hell of it. It is way more advanced obviously but was still a lot of fun the reading is very important and is where the advance part comes in but feel free to ask her questions if you don't understand SHE'S AMAZING!

She is always Ready, Willing and Able to help. Furthermore, she also teaches THE100 which I am taking now and she has the same teaching techniques.

She would be great if it was a advanced theatre class , but for an entry level class she a bit demanding and excessive with the work. The basic work in the class is pretty easy about one quiz a day . But the group play and the assignment to see a live play will hurt your grade if you don't do it . Don' take if your not interested in theatre.

This was my first semester and although I was nervous for this class, this Professor definitely is there to help you understand and gives wonderful feedback, helping me to improve after every speech. She also teaches a theater class which I will, without a doubt be enrolling in.

Prof. Sicre's class is no joke, expectations are high, but shouldn't that be the case if you are in a 200 level course? Quizzes are open notes. Gives you days to work/workshop on the speeches in class & gives feedback. Textbook is free. Everything is in the syllabus. The class is not easy but if you do all the work & on time, you will get an A.

One of the best professors at BMCC, class was easy and she's so nice. Hats are not allowed in her class lol so save yourself the trouble and just dont wear one, she'll tell you to take it off bad hair day and all, but she tells you this the 1st day of class. Test were open book from your notes only.

I took this course over the winter session so the work was intense as Professor attempted to teach 3 months of work into 3 weeks. The work was tough but I thought she did I great job teaching the class. Expect group projects and of course several speeches will be asked of you to do. She also did a great job calming public speaking fears.

As scared as i was about speech class, she helped me conquer my stage freight & fear. I wouldn't have passed this class if it wasn't for this professor's guidance & teaching. she is so nice & made everyone feel comfortable. I took it in winter & the class was short & spicy. And the professor? She's the sweetest thing ever.

I took her class a few years back and I loved it. I've missed a day or two of other classes I've taken, but that never happened with her's. She makes learning fun and you actually get your money's worth when taking her class. She is strict at times, but trust me when I say, it dose help you in the long run. Amazing! I got my classes 2 days before the semester started, and you'd think I'd get bad professors. NOPE! She's easy to understand, she's funny, and she actually cares about you and your grade. Best professor I had this semester!!

Most of the people who gave professor Sicre a bad rating were all late on their assignment, their speeches were sloppy and seemed like they were put together last minute, they interrupted other student speeches by coming in late, and they just seemed like they didn't try. The prof. is there for you. There's no reason to not do well in her class.

First day I wanted to drop due to the syllabus but as time passed the work load was not too much nor as difficult as it seemed. U have to go see a play but you'll thank her for that. Projects were fun, especially the final project. Lots of quizzes but they're helpful for midterm/final. Def would take her again.

I took this class to avoid entering any other art classes, instead found a new interest in theatre. Seriously though, even if you have a hard time following the lesson, she has tons of resources left on blackboard for all the students to use. The only drawback is the amount of work you have to do, but honestly the work was fun and easy.

Dr. Sicre is truly amazing. She provides the class with a free online textbook. She is inspirational and the class loves and respects her. BUT be aware that she requires 6 speeches (much more than other professors) and gives a reading every class and quizzes you on it. Be prepared to do a lot of work but the quality of her class is the top notch.
