Avoid her class. She is not a nice person. She doesn't care about if you do well or not in her class. Her class is unprepared and intense. She spent 20 minutes to know every student's name, and didn't care about them. What was that about? Her tests are confusing. Her class has all kinds of ridiculous rules.

Never take a class Darcy Dance. She is the worst teacher I've ever had. She is a self obessed know it all. Wastes the class talking about herself. She gets off topic and acts like she knows everything under the sun.She gives false info and fights with students even when they have proof she is wrong. No teacher should make up lies to students.

Class is a waste of time! She NEVER grades work and as mentioned, always has excuses ready. She does not post the tests and quizzes when she says she will and blames the student if they miss when she randomly decided to post it. Also incorrect in many of her lectures when I went home and did my own research. test questions do not follow lecture.

Terrible, take any professor besides her!

She is two weeks behind from the start. She started the online class a day late. Quiz' and test' do not match the reading material well. She is the most unreasonable instructor I have ever had. I hated this class so much I dropped it and Ive never dropped before.

I felt her distant personality and grading methods were misplaced (perhaps in a high security prison?). After my first essay, I was given entirely new response criteria, which assured a good final grade. I was forewarned, but nothing could have prepared me for feeling like a regurgitating puppet.

She is a very disrespectful teacher. She is rude and she will accept late work from some students and not others. She has a hard time staying on topic and her class is very boring.

I just emailed her asking a question and she got hostile with me in the email plus she was rude to me in class the next day where it put me to tears after class. A teacher should be helping her students and build them up educational wise not down. Better off with some other teacher

Do not take this instructor! Unprofessional! Hostile towards students. On the first day of the course she told students in no uncertain terms DO NOT EMAIL her for ANYTHING! Told students to email the assistant if they have questions or need help. The online link she gave to the class does not work! Even Tech support said she did it WRONG!

Horrible teacher! Very rude intrapersonal skills. Doesn't explain things well in detail & then docks you for it. Hours & Hours of pointless h.w. Doesn't communicate well. Doesn't work with disabilities well. Doesn't reply in a timely manner whatsoever. Don't take this class with her. Get another teacher. Fair Warning! If I could give a 0 I would!

Takes forever to grade, isn't good with technology, doesn't give clear instructions. She comes off as rude and intimidating. When people asked for clarification, she became very snotty and acted like they were stupid. I only had her for Destination Graduation, not psychology, so I didn't get to know her very well. Maybe she's nicer in psychology.

She didnt grade work from more than half the term until week 10/11. She does drop the lowest score of most assignments which is nice but also left weirdly passive comments on assignments graded six weeks after due date. Would not take again.

I have never met a more inconsiderate professor/person. She does not care about her students and thinks very lowly of them. She stated on the first day of class that all we will ever be are blue-collar workers and that we won't amount to anything. I would never recommend her to any of my peers.

Lectures make 0 sense, she always goes off topic and rants about the things she finds interesting instead of the things that you get tested on.

This teacher has very messy lectures, goes off on tangents, and only talks about the lecture information she is interested in not what will be on the tests. i would suggest not to take such a information based class from this teacher.

Unclear grading criteria, tough exams. Quizzes arent bad though and the reading/assignments are manageable. Shes just kind of rude, doesnt use email at all really which is really inconvenient for most.

Non-approachable professor. Doesn't grade until the end of term. I would definitely take someone else if I knew this about her. Will make you feel stupid in front of the entire class and won't care. Lots of pointless homework that you learn nothing and are never tested on.

She did not input any grades until the last week of school. I'm super disappointed I wanted better lectures. She is not well at emailing you back. She does not give though time which makes me not perform as well as I want too. We went through the book way to fast and did not get into detail for chapters. I would not take this class again.

Darci assigns so many assignments it is ridiculous. You would think the least she could do would be to at least grade them before the very last week of the term, but nope. If you can avoid her at all, my recommendation would be to stay away from her classes. Take them at OSU if you can.

I took Prof Dances class in 2019 and she was by far the worst teacher I've ever had. She does not care to be of any help to the student. We once asked what her email policy was and she said dont .With the amount I paid for this class she could have been more helpful. This is the most self involved, unhelpful and terrible teacher you will ever have

Would not take again, insane amount of work for only 3 credits.

In just two weeks time, this instructor had made herself clear that she was not there to help you progress in anyway. Upon my last class, I realized I could satisfy the credit needed with an alternate - one of, if not the best choices I made in my entire college career. If you don't have this option, I implore you to find a different instructor.

Not only did she never get back to my emails, she also didnt grade most of my work until days after the semester. She gave me bad feedback saying I shouldve done something else as my topic after I turned my essay in. She shows up for lectures and then thats it. Expect to be on your own the whole semester and get classmates emails!

I was looking forward to taking this class because the criteria looked interesting and I was excited to learn. I liked her at the beginning but was then proven wrong. She doesn't care about her students and doesn't really teach us anything. I put in a lot of effort but it never seemed good enough for her. This class ruined my love for psychology.

This is not an instructor I would recommend for anyone that is genuinely interested in Psychology and you want a structured class. She is disorganized, micromanages a little, her quizzes, exams, and study guides don't reflect what you learn in class or in the textbook, and she doesn't respond to emails.

Mr. Noel is the best psych teacher at lbcc, if you can, take his class. First day was ridiculed in front of the class for not properly understanding what to expect for the first day, I had no idea where she was going lecture wise the entire time, she was terribly unorganized, and had no idea how to run a class.

If you want to think about anything other than this class do not take it. There are three major exams in a semester. Two readings or more assigned per week, a reading activity, discussion board and quiz every week. As well as a lecture video and separate slide show, plus parts of the major project starting week 7. She is also a late grader.

Darci was extremely inconsiderate to the learning curve i was having as a brand new, first term student learning moodle and canvas. On the first day she did not help me when i asked and explained and was very mean. Quizzed us on her introduction/personal details like her dog rather than us introducing ourselves. Unclear and rude. Swap to Laura!

Godawful, I felt as though I was teaching myself and her constant snarky comments did not help.

I wish Linn-Benton would fire this woman. You'd think she comes to work to teach, but instead I think she just enjoys seeing students struggle to the point of having to teach themselves.

Her lectures were incredibly convoluted. I left each class more confused than when I entered.

Professor Dance was nearly unreachable through email. It felt impossible to get any help when I needed it. When I asked for help in class, she very condescendingly told me I "should have been there" for a class I missed due to sickness. My classmates were better teachers than her.

She's an incredibly tough grader. I spent hours on assignments only to get marked down for minor mistakes.

Overall, Professor Dance is the worst professor I've ever had. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. Please Please Please, take this class either with a different professor, or at OSU if you can.

I took this class because my PSY credit didn't transfer, but if I hadn't taken the class before I would never have been able to pass. I was often emailed by my peers, as Darci never once responded to any emails sent to her.

Her teaching style is chaotic. I struggled to keep up, and I honestly don't think she cares. Do not ask questions unless you want to be ridiculed.

Just a bad teacher.

The way she talks down to students is unacceptable. I felt embarrassed every time I asked a question.

Despite the positive reviews from others, my experience was a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend her class. I believe she like many students, checked out during Covid, and really needs to revisit her teaching skills.

I learned more from my peers than from her lectures. It's disappointing to say the least. Especially given the cost of the class.

I cannot believe that this lady has a job. She would be better suited as a greeter at Walmart.

I'm thankful to have passed, but I would never take another class with Professor Dance. She's the worst.

The assignments were poorly explained and lacked clear guidelines. I often felt like I was guessing.

Her approach to teaching seemed more like an ego trip than an actual learning experience.

I promise the poor reviews are 100% accurate. Do not make the mistake of ignoring them like I did. The positive reviews were probably from Darci herself. She's has no enthusiasm or dedication when it comes to teaching. She clearly enjoys it to have some sort of power of authority and will watch you struggle with a smile on her face.
