She is bad. She barely knows what she is talking about half the time.My class was based on excel but she insisted on teaching excel on the board. Half the time when there were problems she din't know what was going on. Does reverse grading which helps.

ok to be quite honest, she enjoys what she does however she doesnt teach for****, she will do problems on the board and go quite fast, and not tell u why or how she gets to each step, just basically repeats what she is doing, her tests suck and basically so does she. i recommend anyone but her.. 8)

She is such a hard teacher, goes too fast and doesn't answer questions clearly. HATED her class, i would have to do homework for 5 hours a night, if lucky. Would not recommend her to friends or enemies.

Darci Kratch is truly the worst professors I have ever had. She does not care at all about her students success, only showing you that she seems to only want to prove that she knows all about everything. She moves way to fast to nowhere, only proving formulas with almost no application.

Worst math teacher I have ever had. Sad thing is, she's the head of the Calc courses. All she does is go over homework questions in class, rather than teach the material so then you have the question preventing her from teaching. When you ask her a question she gives you the evil eye and says she doesn't have time to explain. Avoid at all costs.

Assigns insane amounts of homework (about 75 to 100 problems per class) does not teach the material or give explination for solutions. Unless you can teach yourself calculus, or have an extra 12 hours a week to spend homework for a 3 credit course, I would not recommend!

Took her for explorations in modern math, that was mistake #1. Keeping the class was mistake #2. DOES NOT CARE IF YOU PASS/FAIL, ATTEND, ETC... hope you can get a good tutor, that's the only way I survived.

This teacher just does not know how to teach. She also is very unhelpful when help is need (which for me was all the time) I am a straight A math student and the highest grad i got on her test/quiz was a D.

HORRIBLE I'm 5-6 weeks into the semester and I already HATE this class She's honestly the worst Do your self a favor and stay far away from Explorations of Modern Math She gives quizzes back to back and barely answers questions. Even in her study sessions you'll be confused. This class might be my biggest regret of the year.

Darci had the class work in groups to work on solving proofs. She was extremely inconsistent on her criteria for the proofs and offered little to know help on how to solve or set up the proofs.

Darci SUCKS! STAY AWAYYYY, FAR AWAYYY!! She called the class inquiry based learning but there is nothing inquiry based about her sitting on the desk every class all class watching every single student struggle and not doing anything about it. Absolutely the worst class I have ever taken. If you have the chance, take it with someone else.

Intuitive calculus was very hard with her. You basically teach yourself, and have at least one quiz a day, sometimes two...

You work in groups for her class. She doesn't teach, you're expected to learn everything on your own before coming to class. Assignments almost daily -- just a lot of work to get a decent grade.

If you want to maintain your good GPA, avoid taking any of her classes. Seriously, the number of assignments she assigns is ridiculous. Also, you'll be taking 3-4 quizzes per week AND 4 big exams. Unless you're some kind of masochist, take your classes with someone else. Oh, and coming to class basically means working on a worksheet on your own.

AVOID AT ALL COST 2 quizzes every class, about 6 homework assignments each week that take over an hour each, entirely self-taught, "skills test" were timed & required NO calculator (ended up being 25% of grade) 4 big, extremely hard exams, everything graded according to how SHE wanted you to work out the problems, rude to students throughout class

She makes the simplest problems rocket science. She knows how to solve the problems but doesn't have a clue how to teach. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!!!

Only way I learned the material was from reading the book, otherwise I would never of passed.

Listen, I'm no math genius but her trigonometry class is absolutely ridiculous! All of the homework is online as well as the textbook (which doesn't need purchased) but 95% of this class is you learning the material yourself. She'll answer questions every now and then, but she still doesn't fail to confuse heck out of you! Avoid her at all costs!!!

Do not take her if you want to maintain a good gpa! Im a straight A student and I got my first C on an exam in her class. Shes not nice and makes you feel bad for asking questions and she is not fair to students. She is not helpful when you email her and doesnt seem to care about her students.

Take this class with a different professor if possible. Barely teaches you, you have to do everything yourself (Read the textbook or else you won't know what's going on, textbook doesn't help half the time). Focuses more on catching those who cheat than actually teaching the class.

I had her as my professor during Fall 2020. I can not say how she normally teaches, but I can say she really had no idea how to teach remotely. She only ever graded us on our quizzes and exams (graded weeks later), would skip around sections. I did not learn anything new and STRUGGLED learning the material by the way and speed at which she taught. I emailed her multiple times asking for help and she just told me to do more questions, which I did not know how to do, hence why I was asking for help, which wasn't received. I despise her and the class, worst teacher I've ever had.

Online class was a living nightmare... Does not teach at all and is rude to students. Does not use blackboard. Watches every student's recorded video feed to check for cheating after proctored exams. Hires a spy to watch the class groupme chats. If you learn anything about math classes at kent state, it is to take them at community college. Run

There really is no point in taking this class; she barely teaches. For the most part you are teaching yourself the material out of the textbook. Save your money or get a different professor.

Darci Kracht is the worst teacher I've ever had. She tirelessly works against her students and actively avoids answering any questions you have about the material. She will exploit every opportunity to take points away and is happy when no student walks out with an A or a B. She needs to be reevaluated not only as an educator but as a human being.

The math department really needs to do something about her because she lives up to her bad ratings on here. She doesn't put in grades because it is "inconvenient" to her, she doesn't teach, and we usually have 2 quizzes per class. It's so ridiculous. I hope she reads these because she really is the worst professor. She needs to do better.

She's awful. She actively refuses to help students who have legitimate questions and tells them to look at their notes instead of doing her job. She refuses to put grades in for students because it takes too much effort. She will claim tests will be over certain material and then surprise you with things you haven't even heard of. Darci is the single worst professor that I have ever had. Not only does she not teach, but she also doesn't post any grades. If you ask her a question she never knows the answer. By far one of the worst professors I have ever had. She has no clue what she is doing, if you ask her a question, she either doesn't know the answer or makes the problem even harder to understand. She also makes you calculate your own grade because she just simply doesn't want to do it herself. If you already struggle in math, DO NOT TAKE!

Makes the topics more confusing than necessary.

Aside from needing to spend at least $60 to do the work for the class ($20 textbook + $40 for Realizeit access), Kracht rarely provides any assistance to students and leaves them to figure things out for themselves, which wouldn't be terrible if she actually graded work on time instead of telling us to calculate our own grades if we were curious.

Avoid this professor at all costs - they don't seem to care about their students. The class is extremely difficult, with unhelpful lectures and unclear grading. However, Unstuck study proved to be a real lifesaver for preparing for exams and improving my understanding of the material.
