Great! I would/have recommend her to anyone who is interested in taking psych. She really works with you as a class and as a student. Along with having a wonderful sense of humor. Leveque takes the cake at being a kind-hearted and wonderful teacher.

First psychology class I ever took and now am a psyc major. Amazing lady, awesome class. One of the most memorable teachers I have ever had -- a good mix of fun personality and excellent teaching, and most of all, she really cared about her students. I miss her now that I have transferred out of Las Positas.

She's an awesome teacher. Though a little crazy, she's so easy going, and she makes you feel comfortable. She let's you take home the midterm and final, which makes you really get into it with friends, and you learn a ton just by that.

I love love love this teacher! She is so much fun and I have learned so much. I actually would look forward to class. I told my friend that if she took a psychology class and it wasn't taught by Darcy, I am seriously disowning her. Best teacher I have ever had!

Smart as a whip, funny, engaging, tough on lateness and absence, keep up with your reading and do your work, you have her in your corner!!! shes hilarious, you just have to be open to her personality and realize that her 'crazyness' is not an act. shes cut throat with attendance so dont be late. the paper is half your grade but it was easy and i actually kept it. you learn alot about who you are as a person in her class. you gain more then just the subject matter.

She is AWESOME! I had no intrest in psych before her class! She is very helpful, and literally goes down the tests question by question and tells you exactly what to study! Sounds easy but after you study exactly what she said, you end up learning so much more. There is a paper that is worth half your grade but it was a lot easier than I thought!

You would be crazy not to take her class. Learned more than I thought I would...Amazing teacher...wants her students to learn..The most helpful teacher ever. If you don't understand something, she will stop everything and help you. She "gets it". Beware, after you have her, you will hate all your other teachers :)

She is very energetic! She loves what she is talking about and doing! She does assgnments and doesnt have any guidlines so that may confuse you a bit. Other that that she is great!

Darcy is a wonderful person. Really relates well to the students and is very straight forward (real) in what she is saying. She has strong opinions and is great when debating an issue. Very good sense of humor and can see right through excuses! :-) I'd take her again in a heart beat.

Awesome. She loves psychology and she expects you to respect the subject while in her class. Doesn't like tardy's and doesn't like excuses. She is very energetic and enthusiastic. Will keep you interested. Just be sure to do the work and take notes and you will do fine.

Darcey is AMAZING,very straightforward and hilarious! I changed my major to Psych because of her. Make sure to finish all the readings and come to class daily- she WILL fail people for not attending. minimal HW but alot of required reading. Be open and you'll understand everything better.

Currently enrolled in her psych 1 class, she has a big personality,never know what to expect,but it makes things intresting.Reading is an absolute must!!Exams are based off reading and she will even kick you out of class for not knowing what the section is about.So basically show up,dont be late,read and study other then that you will love it.

Darcy is an amazing teacher! truely inspiring. She is hilarious and entertaining. She doesnt take excuses though and I love that she will call you out on B.S. Her office is open for her students even when it is not her office hour. She helps with everything you need and makes you really want to learn. I hope to take another one of her classes!

Leveque is amazing. She really made me enjoy psych, which I thought I was going to hate. She really kicks you in the rear end to keep you focused and thinking. Everything she does, all her effort is for you and it is all worth it.

You people that complain are retarded, and you people that do not pass or receive anything lower than an A are retarded. 1 in-class exam that you can fail and still get an A in the class. Take home midterm, take home final. ONE essay about yourself and the only way to not get an A on that is if you do NOT follow her criteria to the T. Don't be lazy

Darcy is the best! I learned a ton from her class and I still go back to see her and well chat and whatnot. Tests are a pain but they're take home so its not bad. Definatly makese you want to go to class because she's so wacky. I always recommend her! Easy to talk to and totally respectful.

Darcy is the best teacher i have ever had. she is really funny. you do a lot of activites in her class. not a lot of lecturing at all. i definitley reccomend her. but you do need to read each chapter and take your own notes they will help you out a lot!. especially on the midterm =]

She's really strict about attendance, your grade is negatively impacted even for being 2min late... However, she is fun and energetic, you have to work hard at the class, but she is fair with the tests and gives us fun activities to do during class.

I love Darcy! Although her lectures are scattered you always have meaningful conversations that keep you interested. Tests are difficult but she let my class create our own final. Take her if you don't mind teaching yourself the material, won't get much out of lectures. Connects with you as a person not just a student. Very cool, worth taking!

Darcy is a great teacher if you are responsible, respectful, hard working and dedicated. The tests are hard only if you slack off and don't read the book. For her every hour in class you def need to spend 2 hours studying for it.She is fun and you always learn from her classes which are never boring. If you're lazy or disrespectful don't take her.

I had a great time this semester. She is a fun and informative teacher. You need to read the book and you will be fine. The people who say her exams are hard overlook the questions asked. The final paper may be personal, but you learn a lot about yourself. You won't regret taking her classes at all. This is my second class with her.

I thought Darcy was an amazing teacher. She may be strict but she just expects students to take the course seriously and act like mature adults. I think she genuinely cares for her students and is always willing to help outside of class. I highly recommend her! it also doesn't hurt that she is hilarious!

Darcy is a wonderful teacher and her personal stories are very inspiring. Her tests are a little tough and she covers a lot of information in very little time. She makes you write a paper on your perception of everything and it is a big eye opener. Other than that, just read the textbook assigned and you should pass.

Darcy is cool if you do what your supposed to do but just don't piss her off! She also assigns a 5 page personal perception paper which is basically worth your entire grade. No homework just A TON of reading. Tests are hard but she lets you have a notecard. She's funny and loud so you can tell she gets into her teaching. It wont be a boring class.

She's funny and very into teaching. Darcy can get moody swings but it usually ends on a good note. Psych 1 had a 7page perception paper , which is very personal that only her eyes get to read when you're done. She doesn't do blackboard or online test . Attend class and do reading assignments and you'll pass. I'm taking her psych 10 class next .

Darcy is an amazing professor, she will make you laugh everyday in class by tying in what we are leaving to relevant examples. You do have to read the chapters before class which isn't hard. she assigns a perception paper and it's hard but easy at the same time. Taking her human sexuality class next. Darcy is so funny and inappropriate at often times. She has fun stories to tell. Very strict on citing in papers. only a few papers. She made Pych fun for everyone. Don't e-mail her about why you are absent, she doesn't like that. Her tests are take home, so is the midterm. I would so recommend to anyone! So understand,cool and respectful.

Every chapter you have chapter outlines that would eventually be turned in to her to grade. We were able to use these outlines on the exams, which helped on the exam and motivated us to do good outlines. Final project was a paper about ourself. She told us that she can't grade our experiences and would just look at formatting. Put in effort, easy A

DARCY is a caring professor. She will help you out and make sure you understand the material. SUPER EASY A (a lot of extra credit options). If you know the material, tests are SUPER EASY. That means you have to study. You will love her. She really loves being in class and connecting with her students. You will definitely be entertained with her stories.

Darcy is a great teacher for introducing general psychology due to her making psychology the most the relatable subject in college! If you plan on skipping this class you will NOT pass The tests are 100 questions but she allows you to use your textbook. Attending lectures and reading the textbook is KEY to passing this class.

Darcy Leveque is effervescent and enigmatic. She brings in real world material from her job as a therapist to make the textbook pages alive. Professor Leveque is hilarious and able to make the material interesting. She is hands down the best professor I have ever had - at community college or university level. Please take her, you wont regret it!

Darcy is an amazing teacher who really cares about her students. Not much homework at all, but reading the chapters is essential because sometimes if she thinks the class isn't reading there are surprise quizzes. All exams are take home, and you are given multiple days to finish. Attendance is mandatory, and she will call you out if you miss class.

Darcy is hands down the most caring, wonderful, engaging professor I've had thus far in 4 years of college. She cares more about her students and their success than any other professor I've had. She is unique and engaging in lecture and hilarious. She does have difficult tests but they are based n the book reading; read the book, pass the class.

She's caring for each student in the class. There's no midterm, only a final paper that is 5 pages long. The only downside is that she doesn't post your grade on canvas so you can't track them. Not very accessible outside the class because she is very busy. Takes her so long to answer your email.

Darcy is the best professor I have ever had. She is so down to earth and treats everyone with amazing respect. She is all about having great discussions in class and rarely ever tests. Because of her I changed my major to psych as I got to see how fun and intriguing it is. Would highly recommend any of the classes she teaches. Truly a gem

The lectures she gives are pretty good, but where she really shines is her ability to teach real-world applications of psychology. She touches on more personal topics than most teachers would, this really helps the class open up and have interesting discussions. However, her mood does decide the classes direction, so just hope she's in a good one.

Overall a great professor. When lecturing she uses examples of clients to create discussions in the classroom which I thought was interesting. Little homework given and spaced out dates,mostly just study guides.She expects you to read the chapters before coming to lectures. Very caring person, students always came to her after class hours to chat!

class is an easy A, no tests at all, but you need to show up everyday for all the notes: they're very long (psych). assignments are easy, sometimes hard to reach outside of class but when you catch her she's extremely helpful! don't be afraid to ask her questions AT ALL--- that's how you fall behind. if ur class doesn't engage it can feel boring.

She is really good I learned a lot in this class all the students giving her bad ratings don't know what they are talking about.

you should be able to get a good grade as long as you show up. professor is strict but nice. not demanding, assignments aren't difficult and mostly clear.
