Gives good lectures, but they are pointless for this class. Very easy.

he's good, and knows what he's talking about, very easy to understand, easy class, i never go and have an A, the thing about protolipac is that he's kinda fast when he does the lectures, so either pay attention or take notes, hard to do both when he's up there.

i think hes a good teacher, he definitley knew what he was talking about. in class many times he would ask if everything was understood.

For being a first year teacher I think he did a good job. And hey he looks good who wouldn't want to take his class with that cute butt!

I just noticed that someone said dr.protolipac had a "cute butt" yet failed to give him a pepper indicating his hotness, so here ya go doc.

Very clear lectures, but the lectures are never used on the tests. I only went to class when he was teaching, he's hot. I got a B and I barely went. Study for the tests.

Tests and powerpoints are all online, he responds to e-mail quickly, his lectures are much duller then Melchers, but is exchange he good looking

The lectures are very useful. The class is kind of hard, but if you do the extra credit you will do fine. Overall he is a good professor.

Was willing to help students with any problems. You don't have to go to class that often to do well in the class. He is georgous too!! Would def. take another class from him! :)

Very interesting. Good Lesson Plan. If you miss his class he has a power point on line so that you can review his notes. Also his test and quizzes and papers are online. You can do all of that with your friends if you see fit. TAKE THIS CLASS!!! He is super cool!

BORING class, but you dont need to be there, everything is online except you need a password given in class for the little short answer quiz thingies but those arent hard to guess... i quit going to class all together and still got an A! highly reccommend this class. It's co-taught with Melcher and both are pretty easy to understand

Good professor. Explains things in a way that makes topics fun and easy to understand. I really didn't need to study for tests. Tests are open book and if you go to class and take notes they will be a breeze. Contrary to what others believe, I think he's adorable.

This class is the easiest class I have ever taken. Ive only gone to one class and I have a high B low A going as we approach the end of the semester. Not only do I never attend class, I also NEVER ever study one single minute prior to taking the exams. All exams are on D2L and you simply look up the answers in the book. Easy A.

He's a pretty good teacher, very enthused about the subject of pscyhology. An issue of concern is he will expect you to know things from the textbook not covered in class. plenty of E.C. toot teacher!! The papers are graded only on criteria followed (not whether he likes you or not), basically if you study, attend and do all the E.C.; an A.

He is good professor. Posts all the notes on D2L. He answers any questsion you have.

READ THE BOOK, he doesnt cover everything in class and to be honest the book makes a lot more sense, but the tests are not that hard as long as you know the material, and he gives out a lot of extra credit opportunities!

Was a pretty easy class and the proffesor is nice. it is co tought with melcher who is also really nice. I got a b and harldy ever used the book, probably could have gotten by with out it. Make sure you take advantage of the extra credit they are easy and can really boost your grade.

Dr.D is awesome! He explains things really well and if you ever need help hes always there. I recomend taking a class form him! It's pretty easy as long as you go to class.

A good professor. As long as you read the chapter and look over the power points each quiz (on Mondays) is easy enough. Have to write 3 CPR essays which are easy to get an A on.

I liked him a lot! except he had a tendancy to repeat himself. When he lectures it is literaly non-stop from start to finish. I don't like how the class is set up. All with clickers and 36 points quizes every monday that you have to study for to pass.

Lecture class- quiz every monday on a clicker...READ THE CHAPTER and you'll get a good grade. No homework except 3 writing assigments online that are easy to get A's on. You can miss 4 classes and your 3 lowest quizzes are dropped at the end.

Nice prof, explains the material well. However, most test questions are out of the book so read the chapters thoroughly. Writing assignments are easy. Take him.

Great teacher. Explains things in an easy, clear manner so you can apply them to actual life. Helps any confused students to understand and doesn't make anyone feel stupid. I learned a lot- not an overload of work either. I would definitely recommend him for any class.

I liked this professor!! He's really really funny! Makes college type jokes, and is just fun. The class is fairly easy, when you take the quizzes just make sure to read the book!!!!

Good prof. and pretty easy class. There are weekly quized that are taken on clickers..i usually studied an hour before each quiz and did very well...just overlook the powerpoints...final is damn easy its a review of the quiz questions which you already have the answeres to taken online. Pretty interesting class

He's a very nice professor, but the grading system for this class sucks. You submit work online and then your CLASSMATES give you grades. What a horrible idea! Your classmates aren't always as smart and competent as you might expect. All the tests are online, so you can just look up answers in your textbook.

Took this prof. during a summer session - the class wasn't the most interesting, but I learned a lot. He grades REALLY lightly -- I BS'd my papers and exited with an A. Overall, good!

I had him for a morning class with about 15 people. It was amazing! He expalined things very well and made the whole class very fun and interesting. Does a bunch of diff. experiments and shows a few interesting movies. VERY FUN CLASS! Read and take notes and you should do good. Have to do CPR assignments which are farely easy. TAKE THIS CLASS!

Nice and friendly professor. His way of teaching is great. You can understand him easily. He is also fun. I recommend him as professor

Good teacher. the class is really easy if you pay attention in class. if you pay attention you'll get a B on weekly quiz's which are about half your grade. its an interesting class and he makes it interactive which helps!

I loved this online class. It was self paced and the open book tests rocked. you did have to study but the book was very interesting. there was also a term paper

AWESOME Prof! One of my favorites ever! Very open to meeting and discussing class material and is totally for people asking questions in class and spending time on those. If you pay attention during the lecture and read the materials there should be no problem getting a good grade.

Very helpful teacher. If you read/skim the sections in the textbook before a quiz you will be fine. It's interesting material. Having the notes printed before class is also helpful so you can follow along without having to write much. I don't remember if attendance is mandatory, but you'll want to be there if you want to understand the class.

I loved his class. He's a nice guy, really approachable and makes the class fun. I wish all professors were like him!

Great class/prof. He runs the CPR portion. I'm not crazy about the concept as I think it allows for too much subjectiveness. Pay attention during lectures because he likes to ask questions on the quizzes that aren't necessarily bullets in Power Points. Very approachable and loves interaction with students in and out of class. Loved the class.

He is concerned with spelling, yet the syllabus has spelling and grammatical errors! The textbook is all that is needed for papers, but there are optional extra credit surveys available.

One the best and clear professor in the psychology department. Things can get subjective but I love how he never skips or ignore one's questions! I like how he always uses examples to clarify concepts, I definitely recommend him!

He was really nice and into the students learning, however he went off on random lil tangents that were sometime not related. he always answers questions in great depth but kinda wastes time on it too even if it dosent relate to subject... can talk to classmates on weekly quizzes, easy final. alot of info for one class. Points for attendance!!

Awesome class. You learn a lot even though he takes a while to explain a topic of the chapter. He uses a lot of examples for you to understand the concept though. Exams are hard but he gives you a lot of E.C. opportunities. Sometimes lets you retake the exams at home if he sees that the class is putting in effort and showing up to class. Thumbs up!

Protolipac was crystal clear in his expectations for the class. There weren't very many things due during the semester. His tests were incredibly difficult, though. He doesn't respond to emails in timely manner whatsoever, and when he did, did not offer much in the way of answers. His class was interesting, but very tough.

Purchase the international edition of the textbook if you can! You'll save yourself some $$$ along the way. Overall, Protolipac is an awesome professor who is passionate about personality. His tests are definitely hard, so study up!

By far one of the best Psychology teachers at St. Cloud State. His tests are very hard, but gives you extra credit to help you relearn what was missed on the test. His class is very hard but learn a lot. I would recommend taking his courses.

You don't have to read in his class, but if you want to pass quizzes, you do. He talked about his life experiences about Psychology which was interesting, to me at least. I just really liked how he related back to his experiences, which really helps concretes what he is explaining. Good professor. Take him.

AWESOME Professor! Dr. Protolipac co-taught PSY 115 this semester. He is an awesome professor. Makes lecture fun and very interesting. He is very interesting and very helpful. If you have questions do not hesitate to ask because he will go above and beyond to help you. Highly Recommend! Class is made up of 1 paper/13 quizzes/attendance points.

If you're looking for an easy class, here it is. Read the book and the exams are a breeze. I honestly don't know why other reviewers complained about the difficulty, as there was absolutely none.

This was my favorite course I've ever taken. He had engaging lectures &was always willing to help if you asked for it. You have a quiz every Monday on a chapter from the textbook and his lecture which are easy. He drops 2 & you can miss 6 classes without penalty. You can get 60 extra credit points & the final is basically just extra credit.

He is a great professor as long as you show up to class and skim over textbook before each quiz and do the one paper in the class you will pass with flying colors. You honestly dont have to give it your best effort to fail this class. theres 160 point s just in extra credit that you can earn in the class. One of my favorite professors of all time

Ill never forget the day Protolipac made a reference to Biggie Smalls. Besides the fact that hes quite humorous, his lectures were always interesting and he also gives a bunch of extra credit.

I took his intro to psychology class that was co-taught. The other professor sucked, but Dr. Protolipac was the absolute best. I looked forward to the classes he taught, his lectures are very interesting and he offers a ton of extra credit

I took his online course and it was pretty good. There were quizzes online throughout the semester and 2 papers. The first paper, he gave a very useful feedback for you to apply onto your second paper. If you consider his suggestions then you will do well on the final paper. Awesome, would recommend.

Has great lectures. Cares about students understanding the content in each chapter. Quizzes are every Monday.

Amazing professor! His lectures are easy to follow. The entire course was pretty much extra credit opportunities and quizzes once a week. If you understood the lecture, quizzes were easy.

There's a quiz made up of 12 questions every Monday on Top Hat, he drops 2 of your lowest scores. Make sure to attend class, you have 6 excused days use them wisely and take advantage of the extra credit. There aren't any test, only a final exam that is optional and considered extra credit. I loved this class, the lectures were interesting.

Easy to follow lectures, makes the class enjoyable by using many personal examples. 12 question partner quizzes every Monday but are very simple if you pay attention to the lectures. Final exam is optional and completely all extra credit. Tons of extra credit opportunities. No homework. Very nice guy. Highly recommend.

Easy class, and everything was open from the beginning of the semester, so I finished the whole course by February, which was great. Enjoyed his tests, as they weren't too long, and were straight forward and to the point. Would recommend.

He was a really chill teacher and grades easily. There was 2 exams (200 pts), 1 research paper (100 pts), and a handful of small assignments like 2 dream journals, a sleep test, a sleep journal, and optional 20 pts extra credit. It was a fun and easier class but he isn't very clear on instructions and it's hard to get an email reply from him.

Wonderful professor. Daren is always helpful and gives great feedback on assignments. He is the best professor I have had (and I've had a lot). He teaches so you actually understand the content and takes time explaining and making sure everyone has enough time. If every professor was like Dr. Protolipac, college would be so much better!

I really liked how lenient Dr. Protolipac was. The class is very easy with weekly online homework and 6 exams, no final. the exams are scenario based. Overall, a pretty good class

I have taken three classes with this professor and have not been disappointed yet. He was a bit hard to reach at first but, that is only due to the tags he puts on his email. If you don't subject it right it won't get to him. His classes were fun and he gives plenty of work time for homework, even his asynchronous classes were great.

I found myself not doing good, so I asked Professor Protolipac what resources I could find online to help me out. he was incredibly helpful!! he gave me great recommendations! He offers lots of extra credit. Make sure to read your text and review ALL study notes he gives out. His tests material isnt only from lecture!

Very easy class. LOTS of extra credit opportunities and tests were insanely easy too. It would be hard to get a bad grade in this class. He was also very good at contacting about questions and was a very nice person. Most material was on quizlet too.

I really enjoyed this class! There was a lot of hw compared to some professors who just assign a few exams and a final but I found the hw to be easy and super interesting. LOTS of extra credit too. I also really appreciated the feedback I received from Prof Protolipac on the final essay exam. I would 100% take this class again!

this professor is so nice. the class is insanely easy, there are assignments every Wednesday, and a lab due every other friday. Every other Friday there is a test online, and the Fridays in between are personal life labs that take maybe 15 min max, and walk you through everything. This class was very educational but also super easy.
