He is very helpful..easy class as long as you do the homework..he goes through all the problems one by one.
When I came to TU, I had only one Stat. course to complete and I'm glad I took it with such an awesome professor! He made you feel like a normal person, instead of a dumbass and always made sure you understood the material before moving on. I wish there were more professors like him at TU, at least that would give me a reason to get up in the AM.
awesome
he is a great professor~good in teaching stat..that guy make his class fun not easy to fall asleep....He also willing to help students,..highly recommand~^_^
Mr. Kapanjie is totally down to earth. You know he stays up late pondering statistics after happy hour but he tries to make you want to also. (however, due to extreme hotness, I can't think of anything but him) Note: no textbook required! Kapanjie uses online Course Compass. P.s. Show up on days he says he's not taking attendance= extra credit.
He is a very good teacher and very cute too!
There is only one person in this whole school who knows how to make Stat. worth while, and his name is Darin Kapanjie. There's no lying, he is hot, but he also knows his stuff. Don't let those haters out there fool you. If anyone can teach you the Coefficient of Variation and still make it look incredibly hot, it's Darin!
Best teacher I have had yet. Knows his stuff and is very helpful. Definitely highly recommended.
He is awesome
Hot hot hot~~~such a hot guy!!!! he is the best professor that I ever had!!! take his class!!!..I was so sad to hear that he is not gonna teach stat12 for next semester!!!!im still sad now!!!
Hot is the first thing to say.But he is also the best teacher i've ever had....
He is a GREAT professor. I wish there were more thoughtful and caring professors like him especially in the Accounting Department. He is a FIVE STAR teacher. Great Job Darin. It is people like you that make learning a pleasure. You turn a difficult course into a fun and easy to grasp course. Thank you for making learning fun. I actally learnt some.
SOOO HOT and VERY funny!
Darin was the best professor I ever had at Temple. Not only is he so good looking it hurts your eyes, but he's extremely smart. Good combo. He's knows his stuff and tries to make sure everyone else does as well. That's how a professor should be...helpful. He's like an actual student, but with the ability to pass or fail. But, you won't fail!
One of the best teachers i've ever had. Cool guy and helped me even when i was no longer in his class...The man
One of the best teachers I have ever for any math course I have ever taken. Darin really knows how to connect with his class, and make sure that everyone is understanding what he is teaching. He doesn't trick you when it comes to testing. He only puts on his tests what he teaches. He doesn't make you feel dumb when you don't know somethin. HOT!
awesome teacher, explained everything very well until everything was understood and prepared us well for his exams. I'd def take him for another stat class.
Helpful, clear, and makes the content more manageable because he puts it in perspective. He doesn't make his students jump through hoops; he reduces things down to the bare essentials, which makes statistics a heck of a lot easier than it is under some other professors.

Best teacher ever explains things so easy to understand and taeaches only stuff needed easy A if u just pay attention which is not hard to do in his class
he is indeed a great guy and you will definitely do well in his class but the only problem is that he is just too easy he practcally feeds you the whole exam if you are one of those people that really want to learn dont take this class.
GREAT TEACHER EXPLAINS EVERYTHING CLEARLY AND GAVE ME CONFIDENCE IN MATH
amazing teacher :) easy to follow and talk to. very helpful and prepares you well for exams
He is a very good teacher. He is very helpful and a nice guy
good teacher, knows his stuff, and funny to boot
this dude is the best teacher ever!!! take his class n get an A.
He is the best Stat teacher at Temple!!!!! He explains everything so well and it is easy to get an A because u know how to do everything. Take him!
Great professor, you have to study though
EXCELLENT teacher! I hate math sooooo much but this professor made me love math ... easy A as log as you do your online homework and go to class ... he even lets you out of class early! AWESOME GUY
Good teacher. Knows what he's talking about, and knows how to teach his stuff. Also very funny, so you wouldn't get bored.
Great teacher, always available, just do the work and show up and you will do fine
No Comments
great down to earth teacher. easy to talk too and always there to help. teaches you exactly what you need to know to ace his class and move on to a higher level. very funny and keeps class interesting
Great Teacher!!!
He is such an awsome teacher... he makes statistics so easy.. if could have him again i would take his class in a heart beat... He gave me so much confidence for statistics it doesnt make me worry about the other kinds of stat.. fyi.. if you want him register early because his class fills up fast!!
he was great..he made a difficult and boring subject very interesting..learned everything i needed during classtime..homeworks didnt take much time and were a great help..
As a non-traditional student, I was uncertain as to how well I would be able to do in my Stat class. i would like to say that Kapanjie taught the material in a way that it was easy to comprehend...I highly recommend him if you looking to get an A or B in Stat.
great teacher. presents all the material so well. makes class fun cause he's young and knows the deal with college kids. take him.
He's a funny guy, very friendly, is concerned for everyones grade, outgoing, he's fair and his tests arent bad at all just pay attention and he'll make sure that everyone knows whats going on by the end of class, i highly reccomend this to anyone especially who had a hard time with math
Can't get any better
I don't know why every1 else seems to be in love with him. He came higly recommended but after taking the class I can tell you, unless you are already strong in math don't bother! He's arrogant and thinks it should just be easy, I guess b/c he's gotten so much praise from pass students, but I think it's 'cause he's young and slightly attractive.
he is by far the BEST teacher i've ever had. he is SO helpful and he makes it so much fun. honestly, if you have to take stat TAKE HIM!! hes the best, and soo attractive ! =)
whats to say that hasn't already been said? kapanjie is the flat-out man
Hes an easy going man and makes all the material easy. Def recomend to take him if you have the chance
Great class, great teacher.
darrin is the man. show up every day to class! youll get an A and have a great time.
Kapanjie is most definately the best teacher ive ever had...class is fun and he helps you out anyway he could. Buy him a beer if you see him at the Horse. He's legit.
I'm taking Kapanjie this semester. He's the best professor in Temple's business school. Maybe the best at Temple.
The best
he prsents material clearly. 12% of the grade was online h/w (6 problems per section)which you can keep doing till u get the right answer. so its an e z 100%. He "Randomly" collects written work but thats only 2% any way. If you need to take stat 11 he is definately a good choice.
he is a great teacher he makes stat easy, but when i got my test back wow it wasnt that easy
Great teacher. very enthusiastic and easy to understand. He's big on attendance, so just show up, pay attention and you'll be fine. He doesnt mind helping outside of class. Buy the online textbook, its cheaper and more useful. Just do the homework and pay attention and you'll do great.
The BEST math teacher I have ever had!!!! I had him for stat 11 and I'm taking him for stat 12. EXCELLENT professor who makes stat extremely easy. If I got an A in the class then anyone can!
Love this professor. Best math teacher I ever took.
He is the man, he makes stat easy and is willing to help. If you take a stat class take him
The best Stat teacher ever!! I got an A- in his class and Ive never gotten anything above a C in math since highschool. If you want an A in Stat please take him he makes difficult concepts easy.
one of the best professors @ temple
Awesome teacher. Easy, entertaining, easy, and most importantly, easy, but you will learn things.
Darin is an awesome teacher! I took his online class and it was the best thing I have done so far at Temple. I hate math with a passion and he helped me understand it. Would take him again! He's great and the online software was so easy to use!
Such an awesome teacher. Probably the best one that temple has. Somehow he kept math interesting. He's loud and full of energy. If you don't understand something he'll go over it until you do... if that doesn't work...he always makes himself available after or outside of class. If i could i'd take him for every math class i have at temple!
awesome
great teacher. very clear. encourages students to ask questions. very down to earth and funny. not bad on the eyes.. very helpful.
great teacher!! take him no matter if you are awesome at stat or the worst stat person ever. he teachs in a way that is easy to follow and understand. is a fair grader and there is plenty of ways to gain points. down to earth and realizes that not everyone is majoring in stat. you will learn something from this class!
easy teacher! teaches and tests at a basic level so everyone can understand. homework is collected once in a while but online homework n attendance is mandatory as they count towards your grade. would definitely take him for other classes.
Kapanjie is HOT!!! if you have the chance to take his online class...take it! Ive had him for both in class and online and they are jokes! you learn a lot and if you get less than an A there is something wrong with you. He pretty much tells you whats going to be on the test! just pay attention to study guides and you should gat an A
Stat 11 and 12...best math teacher. The man is normal and not unreasonable. Show up to class and you will know what you need to know. He gets his point across very well with examples. Best Teacher in temple university by far
The best stat teacher in the school. He is easy to understand and makes hard topics easy. Funny and likes to get you out of class as soon a possible. And sooo cute!!
he is really good. he knws how to explan well and he will go over it untill u get it. his online work is soo easy. Hw is online and u can do it untill u get it rite. online quiz is easy jus print out ur online hw and use them for the online quiz (trust me). he's test are ok u have to study the example problems. im takn him agian for stat 12. takehi
kept lectures interesting
Good teacher.
honestly the best teacher i've had at temple. Does not waste time to try and fill up the class time, tells you what you need to know clearly and is just a really good teacher. try to get this guys class
honestly the best teacher i've had at temple. Does not waste time to try and fill up the class time, tells you what you need to know clearly and is just a really good teacher. try to get this guys class
one of the best teachers i've ever had. he makes class very interesting and the material so easy. he lets you out like 45 minutes early. would like him to teach the other stat classes too!
jus pay attention in class or go over class capture. he shows every step u need to knw and will help if u email or go to office hrs. do the online hw and print them out for ur online quiz i got 100 on all my quiz bc i did tht and it helps bc both tht is 20% of ur grade and do his review problems for exams great teacher cant get better.
Kapanjie is HOTTT!!! the fact that he is a great teacher just makes everything better. He is so easy. We don't have to waste money buying a book. He doesn't BS, just tells you what you need to know and lets you go. He is also extremely funny which makes him Hotter! I got an A in the class, I def think everyone should take him
He's the man, great teacher, down to earth. Really good at what he does, makes calculus interesting which is nearly impossible. Not by any means easy but a great teacher.
Excellent teacher, extremely helpful. Fun environment to learn in. Online textbook and class review easily available. Easy A no doubt
THE BEST professor at Temple! You'd be a fool not to take a class with him. He's very helpful, his teaching is clear, and you'd probably have to try to fail his class. He has a great sense of humor that takes the pain out of going to class.
Cool dude, funny as well. completely over rated on here though. Class isnt hard but by no means easy. You have to work to pass and makes lecture halls with 300 kids mandatory?
Really great professor- I would definitely take him again. He lets you out early everyday and isn't going to waste your time with pointless stuff. However, he does take attendance everyday so you have to sit in the same seat (choose wisely). He is also pretty funny. Take him.
don't bother buying the book. he makes you buy the online book for homework.
Sadly, the only thing I learned in this class was how to use my TI-83 Plus better. Darin is quite arrogant and doesn't explain the material, he just teaches shortcuts. Some students like the fact that he dismisses class early everyday, but I'm a serious student who pays my own tuition and wanted a more thorough instructor.
please pay no attention to what the person below me said. kapanjie ROCKS! not hard, but not easy either. however, you WILL learn calculus from this man...i failed precalc in community college, and am passing it now with flying colors with darins help!!!
Very good professor, extremely helpful.
Great guy. funny guy. And that is important given the subject matter. He does not waste time by teaching the outdated, written ways to solve things and show you the calculator shortcuts. he will explain until everyone understands and when they do, class dismissed...sometimes an hour early!!
get his point across well without any comlplications....show's you the easiest way to do things...class is short and to the point..best prof in temple
Took him for precalc and calc. Only reason he can be an easy grade is because he teaches the material so clearly. Wish I could find more classes taught by the man. Absolutely the best teacher I have ever had, and most likely the best professor at Temple.
Darin is so freaking hot and such a funny guy. He teaches like its common sense so its soooo easy to grasp. However, its hard to keep up if you're not in class (so I've learned). But thats common sense its self. enough of my rambling he's great you'll love him TAKE HIM!!!
He is a great teacher and is very helpful. One of the best teachers at Temple. I wish that he taught more classes.
One of the best teachers I have had all year. He's very straightforward: his tests reflect the material he teaches directly. He'll usually tell you exactly what to study for on the test. Plenty of opportunities to get an A, he's very approachable. Never checked the book homework and checks attendance every class. Very nice, extremely handsome!
Funny as well as helpful
One word, WONDERFUL! TAKE HIM!!!!
Tough material made easy. He is one of the best to have for this class.
He is a great professor. One of the best in the Stat department. He is helpful. If you go to class do the homework then you will pretty much ace his class. He teaches the material well so its not a problem if math is not your strongest subject. TAKE HIM.
Amazing teacher. The best I've had this semester; he makes math SO easy, it's ridiculous. Take him! You won't find a better STAT teacher. I promise you.
Very good teacher. Uses class capture which is helpful to watch if you didn't understand something in class or miss a class. Tests were straightforward and easy if you know how to do the recommended problems he gives before each test. I'm taking 1102 with him next semester.
BEST PROFESSOR! Professor Kapanjie was the coolest, most laid back teacher i ever had. He played cool music before class and the class never lasted the hour and twenty, usually 20 minutes! The class was a piece of cake, TAKE HIM
Definitely the best math professor I have ever had. He made the subject matter incredibly easy to understand. If you do the optional book homework, you'll be fine for the exams. Also, he lets class out early everyday.
The best professor at Temple. Teaches the material very well and is easily understandable. Never had a full class. Just do the online HW and the book HW and you will get no lower than a B+ in the class. Exams come from mostly the HW from the book not online. TAKE HIM FOR CALC 1 and CALC 2. Also he looks like Phil from the Hangover and he is funny..
Good professor. He will not curve so you get what you get. Do your online HW, quizzes and exams but most of all, show up and you should do fine.
Darin is the best. He might spoon feed you, but this is Calc and many in the class fail. I got an A- but he is a great teacher and tries to teach you the BASIC concepts of Calculus. Take him though for an easy easy A. Do your homework, and show up to class. Do his problem sets and you will do fine on the test!! Check Check Check
Darin is the best professor at Temple. He is a young, laid back guy who teaches only what is necessary. He keeps you in class as long as needed, no longer. Uses online homework so you are basically forced to study - it's helped me get 2 A's in both precalc and calc. You'll be sorry if you don't take darin.
He is horrible. He goes over the concepts too fast; talks too fast; and doest explain the material. I think he is a very nice guy but a horrible teacher.
Darin is one of the best professors at Temple.I don't like math at all, but he keeps the concepts simple and explains everything very clearly. He uses class capture so you can go back and watch the class again, which is great for studying. He gives a lot of partial credit on exams. If you don't do well in his class, it is your own fault.
AWESOME Professor! For those that are not STRONG in Math - this is the professor to take. I made A's on all of his exams - overall an A in the course. He uses class capture so that you can review the lecture again if needed. Exam questions are taken out of the text - if you do the book HW then you can ACE all of the exams! TAKE HIM NOW!!
awesome teacher. explains in a way that's easy to understand, nice, funny and responds quickly to emails. i took his two stat courses online and it worked out great for me.
You are retarded if you don't get an A in this class. He tells you exactly what will be on his exams, and his exams are easy. He is clear and straight to the point. Barely stay the whole class period because he ends early. Easy A.
Darin is a great professor. He is very straight to the point and we've stayed the entire class period once. Prepares for tests, and online homework really helps your grade.
Darin is a great professor! He explains things in the easiest way possible and he really wants everyone to succeed. He's really funny and not too bad on the eye, super hot !
Really Great Teacher very helpful and makes things very easy to learn. knows what he is doing.
Great teacher and great guy. Darin really goes into detail about everything that needs detail... and breezes over the stuff that he can breeze over, he doesn't waste your time and as a result everyone does good! Easy final... gave us practice finals... online homework is good if u keep up with it.. Easy A
TEMPLE'S BEST PROFESSOR, HANDS DOWN! take him if you can! quick feedback, real funny & goodlooking ha, get out of class early everyday, and made class interesting where i actually wanted to go. i love him! i'm taking him again next semester!
Kapanjie is by far Temple's best statistics professor. I highly recommend you taking this course for both Pre-Calculus and Calculus because you won't find anyone better. Class is mandatory, but he makes you actually understand and enjoy the material. Recommend getting the book even though it's a rip off you need it for the online homework software.
Kapanjie is the best math teacher I ever had! he explains very well and kept the class interesting. He ends the class early and he is always on topic!!! The class runs through coursecompass and he goes over homeworks!! TAKE HIM!!
Darin is awesome! He's the best stat teacher at Temple. He finishes class early everyday, and goes over homework every day. Take him! Easy A.
BEST PROFESSOR AT TEMPLE, HANDS DOWN!! gets out of class early everyday, and super attractive! i love him!!!
Great teacher. Clear and everything. Can't go wrong if you come to class.
This class can be pretty boring. Don't get me wrong he is a great teacher, but his tests are quite hard. The only multiple choice test is the final. You always have to show your work. He makes a lot of jokes and tries to keep the class engaged. Like I said nice guy, tests are irritating though.
SEXY. Looks like matthew mcconaughey and bradley cooper put together. Anyways, he is a great teacher. Always willing to help in office hours. Makes everything very clear and moves along at just the right pace. Lets class out early and makes it bearable to sit through. TAKE HIM YOU WONT REGRET IT!!
Suck at math? Don't understand it no matter how hard you try? Well, no more worries because Kapanjie is here to make it all better! He makes everything crystal clear and even if you don't get something you can always go online and view the class capture for review. He also tells you what will be on the exams. Take him. Just do itt.
Amazingly easy class...and you learn stuff. He is a little full of himself...but he IS hot and great at math so can you blame him? I would highly recommend you take his class. I've never had anyone explain math so simply. I sucked at math before his class. Take him.
this class is easy if you do all the work you'll probably get an A. but he does not take any excuses for missing an online quiz/homework/test!!! don't bother emailing him either becuase his answer never helps and comes off very condesceing. but the work that he gives is online with a lot of example so its easy to figure it out yourself.
He was great! Its a hard class but if you pay attention when he's teaching he makes things much more simple than the book does.
I loved this class. He took very hard things and made them so much easier. I loved this class so much I made sure to get him the following semester. Can't wait for another semester of being able to stare at him during class. SO HOT!
Kapanjie is confident in himself and puts students in their place if they try to be funny or make a stupid remark. His class is easy, to the point and his lessons are extremely clear. I ended up with an A in the class. Quizzes are based off the online homework; Exams from the book homework. Book homework is not mandatory.
If there are some good math people in class he'll make the test harder and he flys through the materials
Prof. Kapanjie is amazing!. I hate math and he made his class fun. He conveys the objectives very clearly and will give one on one help during class even though it is a lecture. I would suggest him to any student in the business school!
Kapanjie is the man! Clear lectures and makes both classwork/hw understandable. Very good teaching with technology and gives great examples. Encourages students to work hard and explains any problems in class clearly. Would def recommend to take this teacher if your looking to have less stress than you need. Class is fun with Kapanjie!!
Took him for Business Calc online in Summer I. I've always hated math and struggled with it, but got an A- in this class. The recorded lectures were extremely helpful - he definitely has a gift for breaking down complex ideas and making them understandable. Very clear with what is expected of you. I would definitely recommend him!
He's the best, no question. I've always been good at math but struggled with calculus, and Darin makes it as easy to understand as simple addition. I'm taking him in the spring for 1102 and people should fight to get in his class!
no way you'll find a better math teacher at Temple
I was dreading this course before class but now this is my favorite class! He explains it his way which is SO much easier than the textbook. Just a note: study the online chapter quiz questions and hw bc theyll be on the test just diff numbers. Best math teacher I ever had in my life. And he's a FILF.
God bless this mans brain and beauty!
Darin is a great teacher point, blank, period!!!!..he makes Math so easy and lectures are interesting!..I 100% recommend him!..take him now!
a bit of a clown but hes a cool dude. Hes always been nice to me and i would reccomend him. Although he flies through material
I love this professor. I am finishing up my second 2nd time taking him (two different courses) and wish he could be my stat professor the rest of college. He is cool and very understanding. Lectures are fun and laid back. Best professor I've ever had in college, hands down.
I think Kapanjie could be a good teacher, but if you're bad at math don't take him in the summer! He's nice but he let us out an hour early every class and flew through the material. I had to go home and teach myself! Quizzes based on online hw, tests on the book hw, but he never taught examples of the book hw!! I got 2 D's and dropped the course.
Undoubtedly the BEST teacher I ever had! This guy makes everything very simple and easy to understand. I haven't had any math in last 6 years and came and took his class and got a 98% for the class. Gives partial credit to everything. Very nice, genuine and funny. Take him if you want to learn and to get a good grade. Give him a a pay raise temple!
By far the best professor I have had for any class. He explains things in a direct and clear way, usually makes it easier than the book does. He doesn't waste time and manages to teach you everything without dragging on. Always willing to help before/after class or set up appointment time. Wish I could have him for every class
Great teacher, very friendly. He posts lectures on BB and they HELP! He is very helpful, and tests are never overwhelming. Do the HW and study lectures, and you will do well.
best teacher ever!!
Before Kapanjie, I never enjoyed math. Sure, I did it because it had to be done, but with him, he breaks down the material so well, (which is helpful for those of us who aren't math/numbers inclined), and helps you understand it! If you don't, he'll "stay after" to help you. The guy is awesome online; I wouldn't expect any less in class. Take him!!
Darin is very straight forward with the material, and the key to success is homework. I failed this class before retaking it and receiving an A. I thought I could skate by without doing homework which was dumb. Do the hw & you will be rewarded. The test q's are a direct reflection of the book hw & he will go over it with you repeatedly! Take Darin
Half of the class is online. It's a TR class, but only have to come on T. As long as you pay attention & take notes, tests and quizzes are fine. Book homework isn't mandatory, but if math isn't your thing, then it does help. Posts all of the lectures on Blackboard. Definitely going to take him for STAT1102.
The Best in every area, if you need his class, take him.
He is honestly a great professor. Even in a class of 250 students, I asked questions that were answered with full explanation. He's very down to earth and friendly. Also, it was mostly online which was great for sleeping in! Two thumbs up!
Dr. Kapanjie is by far the best math teacher I've ever had. He explains things very clearly the first time and answers all questions with clarity and without taking time away from the class. Also, half of his classes are online instead of coming into class, which is nice. I highly recommend taking him!!
This was a hybrid course, half online pre-recorded lectures, half in class. Really great format. Kapanjie is super nice, completely down to earth, and makes even the harder material seem easy and simple. Take his class!!!
Wanna know how awesome this man is? I failed College Algebra 2 times and got an A in Calc for Business. He makes math enjoyable I changed my whole outlook on life. He is an amazing person and teacher, I am thankful to have him during my time at temple. HE IS A LEGEND!
Really great professor! Keeps class interesting and explains thoroughly. Class is a hybrid-part online, part in classroom. Easy homework assignments, just attend class and you'll be fine!
Hybrid class. Took him last semester for Pre-Calc as well. One of the best professors I've had! He makes everything so easy!
Never liked math but Kapanjie is absolutely the best math teacher I've ever had. Even though the class was hybrid he taught it very well. 10/10 would take again, he's a pretty awesome guy too.
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST TEACHER EVER! He makes learning so easy and never cheats you. He will tell you exactly what types of problems will be on the test and will go over those problems in class to review. If you do everything he says, it is a guaranteed A. PS. You do not have to like or be good at math at all.
Without a doubt taking Prof Kapanjie for 1102. He explains the material really well and has a good sense of humor. Nothing on the tests is more difficult than the examples he give you during class, so understand everything in class and you should get an A.
Darin Kapanjie is by far the best professor you will every take at Temple. I struggled with math before taking his pre-calc class, and received an A in it, but worked hard. His lectures are seriously on point and his in class polls help you understand the material better, while receiving credit for answering. The class is modern and up to date.
Hybrid class. Taking his STAT 1102 class.. Enough said.
Kapanjie is the best instructor that I have ever had at TU. Wow i was amazed at how simple he made this course. I really hope that I can get into one of his courses next semester. Take him and you will get an A. My overall grade going into the final was 95%. You will not regret it!! Be mindful though, this is a hybrid class.
He is a good professor- he makes lectures more interesting since he is both funny and good looking. The tests are hard but they try to give you credit for the little things which helps. There's a lot of busy work- online homework, online quizzes, online post recording quizzes, and in-class clicker quizzes (but these help prepare you for exams).
He's a great professor and certainly isn't hard to look at. He's funny and explains tough math concepts in a way that students can understand.
I think kapanjie is a great teacher. You do not have to go to class a lot because he has online video days, which are awesome. Tests are really easy if you do the homework and go to the review day. Overall I would try to get him as my proffesor again.
DR. KAPANJIE IS THE BEST OPTION!!!! He is honestly the best professor that Fox has. He is so helpful, so clear, and SUCH a great professor. 100000% reccomend him for STAT 1101 & 1102.
He is one great teacher! he records all his classes and they're easily to follow. You only have to show up once a week because he puts half of the classes online, all homeworks can be taken as many times as you want, so easy A's. Honestly, he is great.
I am absolutely horrible at math. I have never taken calc before so I was terrified going into this semester. With that being said, this class is AMAZING! TAKE THIS GUY! The way he explains things just makes sense. By far the best professor and teacher I've ever had. If you are even slightly competent with math, easy A!!!
I wish he would teach all the math classes in Fox. I don't know how I'm gonna survive after Calc for business :( I always loved going to classes. He is really smart, knows what he is doing, and hes extremely FUNNY. Even if you don't know 2+24 you'll get an A for the class. I feel bad for people who didn't have his class.
Professor Kapanjie is my favorite professor here at Temple so far. He's hilarious and very easy to get along with. Math isn't always a fun class, but with Kapanjie it's a good time.
Everyone pretty much unanimously loves Professor Kapanjie. He's completely fair, funny, and has plenty of clear examples for every topic we go over. If you have perfect attendance, you will get an extra 2% added to your final grade. I would definitely recommend.
I wish all math professors were like Dr. Kapanjie. He's funny, fair, and you can see exactly what you have to do to do well. You get 2% added to your final grade if you attend every class, which is huge. The average of the class was an 83, but you should get an A if you do all homeworksonline quizzes and study properly for the exams.
Dr. Kapanjie is the BOMB at Fox school! He is literally one of the best professors the business school has to offer. Totally worth the money, you will learn everything you need to know for the final, and if you put in the time, you will get an A! He is honestly the best professor I've ever had!
Amazing professor, knows how to utilize technology and get concepts across. Most content is pre-recorded for you to watch on the Fox vault, which is unbelievably helpful. Only requires you to attend lectures maybe 10 times a semester. Very passionate, humorous, and overall great guy and professor. Would take again in a heartbeat.
Kapanjie is hands down the best professor in Fox. Do not second guess taking him, he is the one! He makes the concepts so easy to understand. He breaks them down so clearly. I struggled in Pre-Calc but Calc was a breeze for me. I think it has a lot to do with his method of teaching. The class is a hybrid. So, one day in class and one day online.
I never had the privilege of having Darin as a prof, even though I try every semester. However, I do watch his online videos on the Temple Video Vault and he is such an amazing prof! I learned so much, and I really like his style. I learn more in his 20 minute videos than I do in my two and half hour class. Im SO mad i never got to take him.
Dr. Kapanjie is hands down the best teacher at temple. Freshman year a fellow student recommended him and it was the best advice I've ever received. Not only did I take him for pre calc and calc. I decided to switch my major to math w/ teaching bc he inspired me with how great of a teacher he was. I want to help people understand math like he did
If you have the opportunity to take Kapanjie you should do it. I took him for STAT1001, and I plan on taking him for STAT1102. Even though his class is a hybrid he makes it really easy to stay up to date, and his assignments are clear. He records all his classes. Only downside is you have to pay to take his online exams. 22 dollars each.
if you like paying 22 dollars for EACH test(examity, look it up) you are required to take, look no further. Sure you don't have to spend money on a calculator, but it'll cost you 90 dollars to do his homework. Kapanjie is actually a really great guy, but paying 150 dollars just for my grade is not something I ever want to do again.
LOVED him!! Take his class if you can. Best class I have ever taken. He is super clear and makes topics so easy to understand. Also gives 2% extra credit if you attend every class.
I recommend this teacher as he makes math courses less painful. Clear in lectures , helps you understand the material, &just an all-around efficient professor. Only complaint was that having a hybrid-online course, we also had to use Examity, a proctoring site that charges money per test(22$) and has a guy watch you for 2 hours.
The man made me respect numbers and formulas. He is very easy to understand and very approachable. A master of his craft.
Love the recorded lectures, you can go back for reference at any time. lectures are super short, he doesn't mess around
Hands down the best math professor I've ever had in my life. I'm not gonna say much else because it would just be repeating what everyone else commented. Just take this dude if you can. Make sure you get in his class first when signing up for classes, his class fills up very quickly since he's the best.
Hell of a guy, best teacher ive ever had.
He is an awesome professor! He explains the material so clearly. I usually hate any type of Math course but I enjoyed this one. If you go to lectures when he has them, watch the videos (they are SO helpful), and do your homework/quizzes, you will do fine.
Kapanjie is a good professor but I wouldn't take his class again. It was hard to keep track of when assignments are due and they're worth a lot of points. I did very poorly because we basically learned a whole new concept each class. This is probably a problem with the curriculum more than the professor though. Unfortunately retaking 1101 next sem.
summer class online. It was very tough but calc is tough on its own. His lectures are very helpful so if you keep up on them and take good notes, you will do well. Lectures consist of working in groups to do that week's materials. Tests are same as hw and quizzes so pay attention. I hate math but he made me love it. I would recommend him to anyone
One of my favorite professors at Temple!! Only had to attend certain classes and if you went to all of them you recieved 2% extra credit. I loved calc before this class, and he made me love it even more. Never stayed until the end of the class period.
Kapanjie is the best math teacher I have ever had. Don't bother looking for a better professor. As long as you put the work in (which is minimal) you will do well. Take him you will not regret it.
Kapanjie was is the best Calc teacher at Temple by far. His lectures are clear and short, and he doesn't use the textbook because he knows what we need to learn, and teaches us that.
Kapanjie is the best math teacher I have ever had - and as a freshman in my first college math class, Kapanjie is an amazing professor. His class was half online, so it made learning at your own pace easy - and lectures were quick and easy once a week. Tests aren't hard if you study, and book is part of the online portion - no paper in this class.
Just the best all around. Teaches you what you need to learn and understands how college works. Favorite teacher of all time.
Probably one of the best Professors at Temple. Class was 50% online. Had to show up Tuesday for lectures to review the pre recorded lectures we watched on Thursdays. 1 post recording quiz after each online lecture. Easy. Study, pay attention, do homework, you will get an A. He gives you everything you need to know, no extra useless information.
Professor Kapanjie is amazing. His videos are clear and easy to understand, and he puts in the effort to get you to succeed (he has recorded himself reviewing our final exam late at night). He often ends class 20-30 minutes early, is easygoing and funny. It can get easy to fall behind if you dont keep up with the homeworks but they're not bad
I didn't even have have Kapanjie as a professor. For Stat 1102, my class was so difficult and many people told me to watch his videos for help. I learned my entire stat class from his online videos. He is very clear and explains the topics in an easy way. I wish I was able to have him as a professor. Great guy!
Darin is the best math teacher I've ever had. I had always struggled with math until I had him, he made the material so easy for us to understand and really wanted us to succeed. And on top of that the guy is hilarious. Would 100% recommend.
Great teacher. Down to earth, very easy to follow.
Really made business calculus fun to learn. Always plays good music when you walk in the room, just gives off a good vibe. Not the easiest class but he really breaks it down simply. plus he's the man. cracks funny jokes a lot and is just a cool dude.
Kapanjie is definitely the best math teacher I have had by far. You only have to go to class on Tuesdays and the classes on Thursdays are online. He gives a lot of homework but you will definitely get a 100 on the homework if you try. His lectures make it easy to understand and you never are in class for more than an hour.
AMAZING! 10/10! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! This class was so easy! I took it as a half online/half in class course and it was great. Kapanjie is easy on the eyes and easy on the mind. He always ends class early and is always willing to help! 3
Fav professor ever. He's a really smart guy and makes it easy to learn the material. If you don't pass with him you won't pass with anyone else. Always lets us out early and the hw isn't too bad. Highly recommend.
Awesome teacher, if you put in the time to watch the 2-4 videos a week and go to lecture once a week you'll get an A no doubt.
Great choice! Professor Kapanjie was an extremely good teacher and really knew how to teach properly and with great detail ! Take him, please!
If you have the chance to take Darin for anything, do it. His class format is extremely easy and the material itself isn't that hard either. He definitely knows what he is teaching and he has a great sense of humor. My favorite professor at Temple so far.
Great teacher. Explains content very clearly and concisely. Lots of online homework. Pretty much the same as Stat 1001 except harder. Best teacher for the class hands down. Highly recommend.
best professor at temple, easy class. he gives you all the potential questions you will see on the test. just do the work, understand it, understand what he is doing, study, and you will get an A. his teaching style is amazing, no reason not to get an A. I was horrible at math before taking him for 1001 and 1102 and he made it super easy.
Easiest stat class at Temple. His class is Tuesday/Thursday and Thursdays are online. Tuesday classes he usually lets you out early. The class is online so if you struggle with learning through videos do not take it, but Kapanjie makes the videos really easy to understand. Exams and quizzes are heavily graded, overall an easy A.
Kapanjie is awesome he's the best teacher I have ever had. His class is easy and he makes the material easy to understand. I am taking him again for stat 1102. The class is mostly online. He only has class on Tuesday's. 3 tests and one final. online quiz's and homework. Definitely 10/10 would recommend.
Darin is hilarious and such an amazing professor. His class is half online so going to class on tuesdays is basically required. The class itself is not too difficult and he always finds ways to explain even clearer if you already know whats going on. Taking him next semester for 1102 and couldnt be happier. 10/10 would recommend, best ever
Darin is one of the easiest professors I have ever had. Tuesdays were in person and Thursdays were online. Tuesdays he usually left us out 40 minutes early and runs through the topics very quickly. If you have the opportunity to take this class with Darin, Do it!
Darin's class was an easy A. Make sure you show up to class (it's only once a week in person) so you can take his polls. Watch and take notes on his videos, study using the online thing with Pearson and you'll do well on his quizzes and homeworks. Four online exams, a midterm and a final, weekly quizzes and homeworks. Do the work and you'll pass.
Dr. kapanjie is a great teacher, if you have the chance to take him for stat 1101 and 1102, do it. Theres a lot of online homework but it helps a lot with tests and quizzes and its also an easy way to keep your grade up if you do them, class is iml once a week and he lets you out early every class period, really helpful and is good at explaining.
Darin lived up to his RMP score. His hybrid class meets once a week (about 270 students), then you watch two videos and take a quiz on Thursdays. If you pay attention and participate in his class (poll everywhere), you'll pass with some sort of A grade. His exams aren't necessarily "easy," but they're certainly not hard. Take Darin!
Extremely helpful video lectures! Makes even the toughest concepts look easy. He not only seeks feedback from his students but acts on it right away! Exceptional!
Darin is a great guy and an awesome professor. He always cuts his lectures short but covers everything more than enough within that time. Part of the class was online and it was super easy. Definitely an easy A and he's easy to communicate with too
Easier than middle school classes. He is laid back, and also quite funny. He is very energetic. I had him for a 250 person lecture which disappointed me because I would have loved to talk to him. Highly recommend him.
Kapanjie is an absolutely amazing professor. It is your normal STAT class with a little bit of a twist if you never had him: MYSTATLAB + lecture. I took a hybrid course, so it was lecture on Tuesday's and day off to do assignments Thursday's. If you don't go to the lectures, you are missing "activities" that could bump down your grade.
I ADORE THIS MAN. Great professor. He explains concepts so well. Super laid back and funny, he doesn't want to give super hard tests or a lot of homework, . The class was only one day a week (usually out early) , the other day was an online easy quiz and then your homework became available for Monday. Take him, you cant be disappointed
an honest king, kinda hot, and he taught the lessons so well. he also made the homework extremely understandable, and every class i had with him was entertaining.
Such a good guy. Has a lot of easy chances for credit (polls, in class assignments, two homework) and wants his students to pass with basic understanding. Being let out of class early is always a plus. Super chill and funny
Best teacher in the Stat department. Only one class per week. Clear grading criteria.
Darin is a great professor who wants to help you. If you have questions, he's there to answer it. He's a great guy and great professor.
Darin is the best possible choice for stat 1101 and 1102. Very funny, lectures are informative. Take this class, you will not be disappointed.
One of the best professors I have had throughout my Temple career. Awesome guy whos even better at his job. He has a great way of explaining things and his classes are very straight forward.
Great at teaching material. Class only met once a week. Weekly HW on mylab. Easy class in general. Take his class!
Proffesor Kapanjie is probably the best stat professor at Temple, he knows his materials very well and he also provides a lot of resources for his students. Make sure to do your Post recording quiz and HW, and online quiz tho, play around. I failed the class but it was absolutely my fault, he's the goat definitely would want to take him again
I had him for Quantitative methods 1, or also known as Stat 1 and I really liked the layout of this class. We would only go to class on tuesday's, and then thursday's would be a video online. videos would range from like 8-20 minutes each week and then you have a one question quiz that is really easy and he drops the 4 lowest quizes for this. In tu
You can skip class and still pass, all the videos and class captures are online & class is only once a week. 12/10 would recommend
Probably the best math professor you could want especially transferring from another college like i did. He's great at making the most complex looking math seem easy. Shows great energy for math which is hard to do for this subject. Overall great teacher!
Kapanjie is the best professor at Fox that I've taken. He's organized, understanding, and clear with explaining concepts. Excel projects were a pain, but it's designed to teach you Excel. We met on Tuesdays, watched videos on Thursday. TAKE HIM!
Prof Darin is a great stat teacher, I took his hybrid class: half in person/half online. Up until Week 12 , it was relatively easy, algebra and calc based. Watch the videos he posts, take notes, do all the hw, & you will do fine. Show up for class and complete the weekly excel projects. Not too bad of a class, good teacher though. Take him!
I took his STAT1001 also and Dr. Kapanjie is always a full-send. I would highly recommend him above any other teacher. His communication and teaching skills are above most math teachers I have had. If you want to do well in this class you will have to study, that is necessary. I highly recommend him if you have the option.
Kapanjie is THEE only professor to take! He is actually the best professor to take for 1101 and 1102. His exams are literally the mathlab homeworks. study those and you will be on your way to success. TAKE HIM TAKE HIM TAKE HIM!
Kapanjie is a great professor that makes STAT enjoyable and easy to understand if you show up to class and do the homework. Would definitely take him again. Easy A if you do the homework and post-recording quizzes and use the homework to prepare for the exams.
Darin as he likes to go by, is one of the best math teachers I have ever had. Granted the STAT sequence is not that difficult but Darin makes the material easy to learn and is an overall chill dude. He encourages questions and really makes sure students understand. There are class activities, so showing up is in your best interest. Def would recomm
He's the GOAT. Chill, funny, and a really effective teacher. Exams are easy. What more could you ask for?
Darin is such a good teacher and is very good and clear when presenting new material. He is also very funny and relatable top his students. He makes does polls throughout class to make sure everyone is understanding the material. I wish he taught STAT 2103 so that I could take him again.
I took this as a hybrid class, only attending lectures on Tuesdays and everything else online. He always ended the lectures early and is a funny guy. Material is easy, workload for HW is annoying. ITLab excel projects are extremely tedious and take a good amount of time, even for someone who is good with computers like myself.
LOVE love this professor. I suck at math and I ended with an A and an understanding of the material. He's funny, teaches extremely well and is understanding. Take his 1/2 in class and 1/2 online course. Super easy. Tests aren't bad, all multiple choice. Would take all my courses with him if I could.
I went from getting C's and D's in math to A+ in Stat 1101, 1102, and 2103. He explains the material that you are able to understand at all levels of learning. Videos explain everything in a simple way. Must take if taking any of the 3 courses he teaches. As get a buddy in the class to help each other with the graded polls!
Not a good lecturer. Does not explain concepts well, did much better going on YouTube and learning the material there. For the money we pay to go to college, we should have a professor who actually can convey the material.
Best Professor at Fox. Such an amazing person and knows what he's up to. The lecture was clear and makes it easier to understand. There are 3 quizzes and exams and they were easy if you study hard. Weekly hw and labs. The only thing I dislike his the stats lab because it can be confusing and the instruction weren't clear. TAKE HIM!!!
He scares me but in a good way. He was kind of mean at the beginning of the semester when people asked questions but I definitely respect him. He is very straight forward and tests are identical to homework
Super awesome guy! I hate math and he made it actually enjoyable! We had week quizzes, in and outside of class that we had to do + chapter quizzes, and weekly homework assignment. Made math assignment magically make sense!
Professor Kapanjie does a great job of teaching Stat 1102 and keeping it simple for students to learn the material and practice. The quizzes and exams use the same format as the problems from the homework so I would strongly recommend doing the homework to prep for exams.
He is kind of scary and intimidating. He makes sure you know that he does not accept cheating and will give you an automatic F for the class. He tells you the ways he can track and tries to freak you out with that. He is not very respectful, but his lectures are ok. His video recordings are better than live lectures.
He tells you what you need to know. If you do the homework and practice them before the tests then its an easy A. He has all the tricks that makes the math easy but does not describe the meaning behind it; I prefer to know the why. I do not have anything bad to say, he was cool, down to earth, wants you to know what you need to know to pass
Clear course structure and lectures are very easy to follow. Definitely the best statistics professor I have taken so far. If you can take him you definitely should!
The best stat professor at Temple. All the exams are identical to the homework problems, literally the same thing just different numbers. If you're online the exams are all open note. Easy easy A if you attend class attentively and watch his videos and do his assignments (if you do not do work or do not pay attention you will not do well).
Got a devalued degree, con artists
This professor is unfortunately the worst professor Ive ever taken. It upsets me to the point where I start to dislike my university for hiring him. He speaks like hes above you. If youre taking the class online for the convenience he will purposely inconvenience you. If you miss a deadline because your mom died. He will gladly give you a zero.
Kapanjie is an good teacher, especially if you're taking any stats classes. I took all my stats classes with him and got an A in every one. Homework and exams are graded fairly, he even drops your lowest three homework grades. Only downside is you might have to teach yourself a little. He expects you to know stuff after one class. Overall an easy A
Not gonna lie people jack Kapanjie as a bad professor but in reality Ive had him for 2 different stat classes now and his expectations are very clear. If you do the work, you'll understand the concepts. I barely went to class, did all my work every week and still got an A.
Absolutely HORRIBLE prof for this course. He clearly does not know the material bc he struggled teaching half of it. He is very passive aggressive and standoffish and talks down to you if you ask questions. Friends had him for other levels of stat and said he was great but clearly he fell off. Second exam had barely a passing average...
Kapanjie deletes negative RMP reviews, so I hope this stays up to warn people. Least empathetic person I have ever met. RUN if you have a disability; he won't honor your accommodations and will question you about them. Complains SO MUCH about how many students ask for extensions during Covid, like we're not dealing with things other than his class
The material itself was pretty easy to understand, with math if you are not a good test taker MAKE SURE YOU STUDY because he does not allow retakes extra credit. You have to know everything because he will NOT answer any questions during an exam. He does a great job with explaining material during class. Just take good notes and study.
This class was your usual MyLabs, excels, and 3 exams+final. I heard Kapanjie was a great professor but I don't think that applied to this class. I didn't struggle too much since I have taken STAT since high school but many of my peers struggled with unclear concepts. I did like how we were taught to use Excel for the HWs since it is a good skill.
Professor Kapanjie is a decent professor, and it's clear what is expected of you coming into the class. However, if you have a disability or any medical problems he doesn't care. If you miss a few PRQs or class periods, you will get 0's no exceptions. Make sure you go to class because there is usually multiple one question quizzes during class.
Kapanjie is a good professor overall. Sometimes he can be a little bit condescending, but he's still really smart and helpful if you ask him for help outside of class. Re-watching the zoom recordings was helpful. Also for this class make sure you write down formulas from the textbook, they're vital to understanding and completing the homework.
Won't curve, Tests are on Pearson, no curve or extra credit, refuses to take responsibility for bad teaching
Easiest class ever. He ends the class early every time. I don't think we ever had a full length class. You have a lot of online homework but it's super easy. Take this professor if you can.
Least understanding person on the planet. Has no problem humiliating people. Will not admit to mistakes
Does not care about students. Especially if they have DRS accommodations, Darin will not respect it. He gives no extensions. I could have reported him for not approving DRS accommodations, but as being a nice guy I just let it slide.
He is a pretty professor who will help you when you need it. He is pretty strict with dates and submissions and has no extra credit.
A lot of people complain about him but do not be scared. He is a good professor but you have to pay attention in class and do the homework. Every question on the test is pulled straight from the homework. The people that don't like him just don't do the work. Easy class and he will help you after class if you need.
a few weekly homeworks, 3 major test that are moist of your grade, about 5 online due during the weekend quizeses and in class quizes worth very little. attendance not mandatory and he will go obver problems and how to solve them during class, so they do help. reviewing homework and textbooks study plan will help the most on test and final
Professor Kapanjie is straight-up one of the rudest professors I've ever had. he tries to act so tough but tesches so bad
Professor Darin Kapanjie is very nice and he knows how to inspire every student to get succeed. I'm not good with math at all, but his lecture made STAT so interesting and easy. He's definitely my first priority for my future math classes.
I hope he sees this. The most awful teacher I have ever had, rude and literally impossible. Do not take his class just don't. God awful teacher in all of Temple. Annoys me that Temple protects him.
Can be a rude guy. Does not mess around. As far as class. it is not hard. You just need to take advantage of using excel on ur tests. Do not cheat, he will catch you. Just pre prepare excels . It will be the difference between getting 62 and 92 on ur tests. He just doesnt put up with anything he does not want to. not hard, just annoying class.
Very disrespectful professor and does not seem to care about his students and if they are struggling or not. The averages for all tests have been C or lower, and he doesn't seem to care or make adjustments to his curriculum. Not even really help during his scheduled office hours. I recommend you stay away if possible.
Do not take this professor, he will not accommodate or be compassionate no matter what you are going through or email him about. He is a very tough grader and if you miss an assignment or exam for any reason you will receive a zero.
Professor Kapanjie is great. Make sure you know how to do the HWs and build an excel with how to do every HW cause the test is the same exact questions with diff #s as the HWs. 3 tests and a final, excel projects aren't great but he drops 3. Do the HW and create an excel sheet for each test and it's an easy A
Good professor, but is not the most accommodating guy ever. Doesn't give much extra credit, but he's willing to help you if you're confused on something. Sometimes he isn't the most clear with what he's looking for.
Worst Professor. If you are seeing this it is because he hasn't deleted this bad review yet but he has all of the other ones. Horrible teacher and person. Had a 4.0 going in and obviously, I don't now that I had taken his class. Despite the material being insanely easy he's just a horrible teacher and has a horrible system. Please run
I was reading the reviews and its funny how as the years go on the reviews get worse and worse. The man speaks to you in such a belittling manner he truly makes it frightening for a student to ask a question of any kind. God forbid you ask the wrong question and he will make you feel dumb for it.
He expects his students to be able to see in the future when it comes to informing him of any type of emergency before a test god forbid you have an emergency and cant contact him before the exam bc you will get a 0.
I think the stat dep. as a whole at TU sucks- prof kapanjie was the least bad of the 3 I've had, but he wasn't great either. Lectures were kind of confusing and we met once a week- barely had time to grasp the content before we had many excels and hw or quizzes due. if i didnt use all my attempts on hw/quiz and learn on my own, I would've failed.
This is an excellent case of doing your work. Many of these reviews are bad but in my experience, it's just a matter of being diligent with preparation and doing your work. Great teacher.
i think that prof k is a good professor honestly, i just think the way that the material is formatted is tough. hes a bit rough with the material, so this isnt a class you can be like, oh let me not study and ill be fine.
Darin truly cares about the success of students and structured this course to enable good understanding of the material without being frustrated by unnecessary details. His lectures were informative, homework and tests were in line with the material covered, and plenty of time to complete. Participate in class and do the homework for a good grade.
he wants students to be successful, and drops some of the lowest grades. be prepared to study, because you'll need to learn the material. i will take him again in the spring, because i think in the stat dept, he's the best professor, from what I've seen and heard. attendance is mandatory because there are in class quizzes, and he reviews a lot.
Weekly hw assignments, 3 tests, does not take attendance but I recommend going as he is great at teaching you how to do the problems. Makes every problem seem easier, and allows you to literally take pictures of notes and put it in excel to use during your tests.
Mid teacher. He can be a bit rude when the same person asks many questions during class. If you apply yourself, attend his lectures in person, follow along with the online teaching videos then you're guaranteed to understand. You use excel to solve math problems and he pretty bad at explaining how to use it if you've never used excel before.
Darin is the best! The class isn't the easiest, you definitely have to put in effort but I am now a senior and he has been my favorite professor ever. Definitely take him!!
So so so so so funny. There are small one question quizzes you must do during class but he goes over a question regarded to the quiz before so it's super easy. He drops your three lowest quiz grades. Overall the best professor there is.
This man seems like a dickhead at first like not at all caring, but he grows on you once you have him in class. Does his best to help students understand the material, and you only meet in person once a week besides that its asynchronous. USE EXCEL and put your notes on them. Overall, pretty good class.
Tues. in-person lecture and Thurs. asynchronous. Very good at explaining things if you go to class, but attendance not mandatory was if you log into Canvas during class and do the "class participation" activities when posted (5% of grade). Homework is are tedious and repetitive. Exams exactly like homework problems. Can use excel with notes.
Good math professor. The class was in-person one day a week and online the other but he remained available for questions.
I feel if you just pay attention to his examples and practice like he always recommends the class is fairly easy. If you get a bad grade on something just practice more and rewatch his examples. He is effective in communicating and help. A short talk with him could go a long way. He is strict with set due date, but I feel that is understandable.
Really nice guy and good professor. Explains the course well and is always willing to help. Multiple assignments due each week as well as excel projects which are time consuming.
Too many questions on the test so less time to finish. Be prepared to teach yourself!!!!
He's the goat. An hour lecture for a 4 credit class once a week, I taught myself the entire course by creating excels for the HWs. Exams can be hard and confusing but create a premade excel with functions to solve HW problems and extra problems and you'll be fine. Barely paid attention in class lectures though.
I don't think this professor taught well at all; never taught us the material that we needed for the homework or the tests. We were taught material that we had done the homework for the previous week, which was self-taught usually. The tests were not reflective of how we applied ourselves. Way too many questions for the time limit.
He's a really good teacher. As long as you go to class and of the homework you will pass this class. All the exam questions come from the homework. Liked his class so much, took him again for my next stat class.
At the start of the semester, the class has a lot of hw, but afterward, the workload is light with 1-2 assignments for the week. His way of teaching allows me to fully understand how to do the work and why it is important to know.
Explains content very well and demonstrates how to do assignments.
He's a cool professor but you do have to teach yourself a lot of the work on your own. Make sure you do good on all of your homework and quizzes/tests because there are no opportunities for extra credit. Don't ask him to bump your grade up; he follows his very strict syllabus.
Well if it isn't obvious this guy definitely bought reviews or something, he was like a 3 when I signed up for him 6 months ago. Doesn't teach much of anything, no calculator during exams, only excel which he doesn't teach you to use. Exams are way too long for an hour and a half time limit. Survived through luck and hours of work.
I took him for 2102 in the spring and 2103 in summer 1. Both classes were teach yourself and in the fall, he will have in class assignments requiring you to attend class. I personally do not mind teaching myself but be prepared to only use excel on exams. Spring I got a C+ because the final was cumulative, but the summer course was much easier.
Professor Kapanjie is a very good professor, he made sure you understood the material, The assignments weren't hard but if you are doing the excel projects, you can't copy and paste off of someone else because it will mark it as cheating and he's serious about it. He wants the class to do well. Overall I would recommend him 100%

This is a funny example of a prof where your experience will mostly depend on whether you like an excessively upbeat personality. It would be difficult to poke any holes in his teaching style, he's very straightforward. The guy is just comically enthusiastic and it ironically makes it difficult to form any kind of connection with him.
Professor Kapanjie is enthusiastic, but it can be hard to connect with him. The class is manageable if you attend, do the homework, and use study tools like unstuckstudy ai. Exams are fair but timed.
