You will be teaching yourself everything in this class, or a tutor will be teaching you. He uses class time to tell you stories that have nothing to do with class.

He is a way good teacher, really knows his stuff!! He is a nice guy too!! If you have problems you can ask him, he isn't intimadating or anything like that, really nice guy!
He is a really nice guy. But only take his class if you already understand Math. He tells to many stories to explain the subject.
I usually do OK in math until I took this class. He is a pretty funny guy, but he didn't explain anything well and when I asked he got this tone like I should know! I did not appreciate that. I suggest only taking the class from him if you consider yourself a pro at math.
Way nice guy and really good teacher, I don't really like math, but he made it enjoyable, I liked coming to his class everyday, if you don't understand it he helps you. Great teacher!

Tells stories about his mission. doesnt teach very well
All you hear everyday is story after story about his mission. It is so irritating! Also, he doesn't really teach it, he just does the examples out of the book which i could very well do on my own. If you have a hard time with math DO NOT take it from this guy!!!
Brother Howard does tell a lot of stories, but he still gets the lesson taught. If you have questions about the last assignment, you can write them on the board, and he will work them out for you. I thought he was a good teacher; if I only understood Math, I would have done better. You grade your own homework, and don't turn it in until after test.
nice guy, but talks way too much about other things besides math. i have a hard time anyway, and when he rushes through book examples it doesnt help. he wouldnt really explain, hed just show us how to do it. im unsure how i feel about him.
EASY! All of the tests are multiple choice- plug and chug people, simple concept. He talks more about religion than math, so I just skipped class all of the time, got the assignments from other people, and took the tests. Easy A. If you need help, go to the math lab.
Very hard to follow. He didn't explain the math. He's clear on what assignments need to be done, but your pretty much teaching yourself. The only thing that kept me sane was some of his mission stories. Nice guy, but he would do way better in the Religion department.
I like the guy. I have always hated math but he made the class fun. You pretty much teach yourself. In class he goes over the home work and tells stories. I think he is a great guy and he would probably be better in the religious department.
Very nice man but not a good MATH teacher. Would do well in religion or drama. You have about 35 minutes for devotional and personal stories and about 10-15 minutes of math each day.
I was geared up for this class and was extremely disappointed to find out about his "devotionals". Students are required to keep it to 3 minutes when they do it, but if no one signs up, he will take on average from 25-40 minutes, leaving very little time for content. The only thing I would recommend is to STAY AWAY from his classes.
if I were going to be tested on random stories about his family or his past when he was in college, I would have done great. sleep inducing, tried to cram all the math material into the last fifteen minutes of class because he spent the first hour telling stories.
Spent the majority of class telling irrelevant stories leaving very little time to actually teach the subject. Dropped the class after one week.
Bro. Howard talks a lot, just not about math. He really is a nice guy, but that didn't help me do well. I struggled in his class because he assigned work and then didn't even attempt to explain how the concepts in the book applied. It is a self-teaching class.
Great Guy. Class is straightforward and easy. Do the work, learn the material and take the test. He is more of a shower than explainer. You give him a problem or and he will show it to you. Best thing of all is the Spirit in his class. Pretty amazing most of the time. Thats the whole reason I'm at this school anyway so I really enjoyed it
Very smart and fun guy, just not a good teacher...I dont kno how im going to pass...its going to have to take a miracle :-/ Tons of hw everynight, 1-2 chapters worth! you can use a note card for the test...but there is to much to put on it its a joke! You WILL be teaching yourself. I would avoid it!!! i wish i could turn back.......
Great guy!! awesome stories, and wonderful setting, he really knows his stuff and is VERY smart! i love him! but the class itself required allloott of effort, you prett much teach your self EVERYTHING but his tests are fair and he lets you use a indez card :)
Brother howard knows the material well, is willing to give extra help, and makes the class expectations and tests very clear. he does get off on tangents alot, but i didnt find that to bad, most of the time they were interesting
Funny guy. He had really great stories to tell but he rushed through the material a lot and you pretty much have to teach yourself. he is a good guy though
OK, Bro. Howard is a nice guy and everything but i don't like the way he teaches. He goes way to fast through the material before you can fully grasp the concept. He takes way too much time telling stories. His tests are hard because you never learn the material from the teacher. You either have to teach yourself or go to the math lab.
This professor is rediculous! He tells stories for half the class, then rushes through the lesson so fast that it is hard to comprehend. He does go over any homework problems you may need help with, but that's it. His tests are also not close to the assignments. He is a nice guy, but I wouldnt reccomend him.
Nice guy, but doesn't do a ton of teaching. class is pretty boring, but he lets you use a note card on all his tests. Easy class.
Good teacher. He sticks with the book, which is nice for tests and homework. He does tell stories during lecture time, but not for a lack of knowledge. He really knows his math. There aren't any suprises on the tests, content is the same as the homework.
Good guy, he began teaching our class mid semester because our normal professor never showed up due to headaches. Goes really fast through content so the dumb kids can't keep up. Talks a lot but has a good heart. The tests are moderate, if you do your homework and master the practice test, you'll do fine. Assigns a lot of homework.
RIDICULOUS!!! He spends most of the time talking about his life and rushes through the material a lot. He may be a good guy but certainly not a good teacher. You pretty much have to teach yourself in his class.
Works with students no matter what, willing to help you understand everything and explains things clearly for any questions you have. Assigns a lot of work, but he makes it worth it so you understand what you're doing.
Very willing to work with you on an individual basis. You'll do well if a few, quick examples are enough for you, he does struggle with time management.
He had good intentions. I am not good at math, but I did try to talk to him after class for help and such. He doesn't know what students want or how we tick. He tells stories and then expects you to know on your own how to do the homework.
His stories are good, but he tells them instead of teaching. There is a lot of homework but he never really checks to make sure that you did it right. The tests are hard and seem completely different from what is on the study guides. You could mark that you were there when you weren't and he wouldn't know the difference. He doesn't care about students.
AWFUL!!! Bro. Howard is a nice man, but he does not know how to teach. He spends all class telling stories, then rushes through the material. Never checks homework to see if you understand. TESTS ARE HARD!!! He is no help if you go into his office for one-on-one. This class was so horrible, and I barely got credit for it! DO NOT TAKE IT FROM HIM!
I really enjoyed his class. He can be hard to understand, but he is very willing to help you. he lets you redo all of your tests for half credit back! He basically gives you the answers if you go see him. I loved his stories!
Like all math classes this was a hard class for me. i delayed doing my homework, and it killed me. This man has a heart of gold. i know he would have helped me if i asked. He would do anything for anyone in his class. (unless you ask for the test answers.) had it not be for his stories and his care for others i would have dropped out.
Bro. Howard instilled in me a love for math. He's very helpful in every matter of life. Great teacher. Thanks to him I finally comprehend math.
Brother Howard is a good man but he did not spend enough time teaching or ensuring that the material he taught was being understood. His classes were more about "back in my collegiate wrestling days..." or "so this one article I had published in the wall street journal..." and maybe only the last 5 minutes for the homework.
I hated this class, but I thought he was a pretty helpful teacher and did everything possible to help me through it, including working through missed problems on tests and even giving me some points back. Talking to him makes all the difference. Lets you take a note card on the tests!
He looks scary but he's really not!
Bro.Howard is the best! He helps you understand what is going on always-and if you don't get it in class he will go over it outside class with you until you do. I really hated math before his course, but he made it very enjoyable because I could understand it. Work is easy-and if you dont get the homework he explains problems next class period. :)
Great guy. He really cares about his students, but he doesn't have patience for people who don't try and ask for help (I know, I tried). I thought the material was fairly easy for the most part, but I learned a lot of stuff about taxes and loans and Excel. Great class, great teacher.
Brother Howard is a nice guy, and you can tell he loves the subject, and he loves helping his students. He has a hard time dumbing concepts down for students; he gives a lot of unnecessary info that makes it hard for students to understand. I had him for Calc3, and I understood the concepts better when I just read it from the book. I got 99% tho.
He is great at teaching, captures your attention. There is no way to be bored in this class. He helps you out individually after class if you don't understand something. Class ends early and it moves at a smooth pace. I really recommend him.
He's a great guy and told good stories about his life which are okay sometimes but didn't take up much time explaining the concepts. He didn't break down new material but if you're good at any kind of math and test taking then you should take him.
Brother howard is a good guy the class isnt too incredibly tough but his stories take too much time of the class i enjoyed sitting through his class just because he does have good stories but anything i needed to learn i learned from the homework
I LOVED Brother Howard. I thought that he was a great guy! He always made class fun for me. I remember missing class one day by accident and I came into ask if I could make it up and he made time in his day to teach me what I had missed and let me re-take the quiz! I thought he was a great teacher and loved his stories. Take him!!!!:)
Teacher often times spent class telling stories (which were entertaining), but less time explaining to us how to do the math. If you went to his office for help, he would often say to come back later or to go the the math lab. Not very helpful. He didn't seem to care about his students.
Brother Howard is really entertaining. I hate math so I enjoyed that he spent most of the time telling stories, but if you're looking for a really serious math class, don't take him. At the end of the semester, I was 1% away from having a C+ so he went back and added a couple points to a test just so I could have that. He's really nice in that way!
Nice guy, but doesn't explain ANYTHING. Goes through material before you have a chance to understand...pretty much learned this entire course by myself..tests are hard. Doesn't let you use "help me solve this problem" on my math lab, which is a huge pain, because that would be really helpful.
Great Teacher! Really one of the smartest guys I have met. He knows math and teaches lots of life principles. He is willing to work with you and explain your homework to you, you just have to ask.
Oh my goodness, Brother Howard is such a great guy! I went into his class with low expectations. After all, who wants to take a math class for the real world? Brother Howard was so willing to go out of his way to help me. But if you need help, you have to go to his office. Super funny guy and teaches many life lessons. TAKE HIM!
He isn't helpful during lectures at all. The textbook he uses is confusing and he isn't sympathetic to problems with online work at all. Unless your super good at math do NOT take his class!
Bro. Howard is a terrible teacher!! Do not take his class. He does not teach you anything in class, gets distracted easily, homework online is totally different from in class, the excel projects you have to do are near impossible. His tests are not too hard but he is just a bad teacher. Do not take this class from him, strongly advice someone else.
Bless this man's heart. He is very nice... but an awful math teacher. He tells stories most of the time, which is fun, but then you don't know how to do the HW, projects, or tests. Unless you are naturally good at math and get things quickly, do not take this from him. You'll regret it!!! I RARELY leave class thinking I learned something.
He's not hard at all. He does get sidetracked easily but you can always talk to him before or after class or go to his office and he'll work through your problems with you. His online homework is way easy, you can keep trying the problem until you get it right. His exams aren't too bad either, just make sure you got your 3X5 card filled out.
Brother Howard really surprised me. I absolutely hated math before I went to his class, but he changed my mind.Very fair about homework and projects. Very nice teacher, if a bit distractable. I thouroughly enjoyed his class. Take him!
He is not a math teacher. He is not clear and does not teach math, he talks for 30 minutes about stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with math. He loves to brag about himself and will talk about his books and other crap he has done for 45 minutes. TERRIBLE MATH TEACHER!!!!
If you are looking for a teacher who teaches math, this is not him. Class was pointless to go to. There was a decent amount of work, but pretty easy. He gives you study guides before the tests which make it impossible to fail. If you do fail you aren't trying. Good guy, simple class, probably hard to get an A in, but possible.
Brother Howard is pretty much the nicest teacher around. He does talk a lot about other things in class but his statements are profound and you learn a lot about the Book of Mormon. I love that he incorporates the Book of Mormon and tells us different facts about his life. I've learned more about life in general than any other teacher.
Worst class I've taken in my college carreer. 3 nights a week with a study group and worked our butts off to barely pass. homework for every class that was never related to what we were "learning", a project every week, and 5 tests that none of us could do well on.
You will not learn math. You will learn about the Book of Mormon
Br. Howard is a great storyteller and has a passion for teaching math to his students. Be warned: He is easily distracted, and likes to have student-led devotionals before class. The work is challenging so ask questions; and in general a good teacher. Not much patience for those who don't want to study a lot, though.
Tells lots of spiritual stories. Doesn't talk about math much at all. You will learn everything on your own.
Very kind man! I really loved Brother Howard. As you can see I am no mathematician, but I still enjoyed his class. I learned more from mymathlab than I did in his class though... and that's no ideal. Bro Howard also talks... a lot... about stuff that doesn't have to do with the class. But he's super chill, and very kind.
Brother Howard was really nice and funny. His tests weren't too hard either. The only problem I had with him was that I didn't learn a lot about actual math. He would be a better religion teacher than math teacher.
Whenever I had a question I could email Brother Howard and he was really good at getting back to me and helping me figure out how to do it right. Tells lots of stories. As long as you go to class and do the homework you will understand and pass.
Brother Howard loves to tell stories. If you don't know math don't expect to learn very much from him. He is a super nice guy but he tells stories the entire class. You get to the lesson maybe for the last 15 minutes. You have to teach yourself a lot of the material. I have had worse teachers but Bro. Howard is pretty boring.
He tells stories about his personal life the whole time. I was constantly in his office asking for help and went through tutor after tutor. I felt like he got annoyed with me. You learn everything on your own. He is very nice though.
Bro Howard is sooo awesome!! He is such a great person. I LOVED this class! I thought it was pretty easy. The test reviews are wonderful and help so so much. He is extremely willing to help you in any way and isn't a tough grader. He's also super spiritual and teaches you a lot about the gospel. Definitely would take another class from him.
Howard frequently goes off on tangents and spends a lot of time talking about spiritual matters rather than mathematical matters. He'll often times jump to a story that he remembers and begin telling it until he remembers that class is almost over! I would recommend looking for another professor. Otherwise you'll have to be in the tutoring center.
This teacher does not communicate well. He spends most of class time telling personal stories instead of talking about math. Instructions for projects are very unclear. When you ask him questions it feels like he is very annoyed with you. Often avoids questions he doesn't want to answer.
So Brother Howard is a good person and he's good with one on oneout of class questions but his lectures are really long do to the fact that he is constantly going off on different tangents. If you can teach yourself and you're comfortable enough to ask a lot of questions then take the class. If not, then don't.
Useless teacher. he should teach book of mormon instead of math classes. His lectures are waste of time. but every classes take participation. He does not have a good skill to explain problems and clarity
Pretty good teacher. The class was required and there are many professors that teach it, so I didn't expect the most amazing learning experience in the world, however, Brother Howard is a great guy and he knows what he is doing.
So this is my second time taking this class because i didnt do well the first time i took this course. he does tell a lot of stories, but there are tied into what we are talking about. as long as you do the homework and the excel projects you should be able to pass.
He is very spiritual and incorporates the gospel into what he teaches. He spends alot of time telling personal stories. He teaches fast and is sometimes hard to understand. He knows his stuff but sometimes isnt very good at explaining it. He is an awesome guy. If you're really good at math I would recommend his class
Brother Howard is an amazing teacher! He does tell a lot of stories. He is really good at explaining the equations and helping you if you do not understand. If you show up and do your assignments, you'll pass easily.
Bro Howard is a really nice person who means well. Math is a second nature to him. If you go to class and do the homework you'll pass. However, it is difficult to excel in his class. He doesn't communicate clearly. If asked a question his response will often start with, "Well you should AT LEAST be able to..." which is discouraging. Go to the tutor
I really enjoyed this class. He did a good job of explaining the material, and was really good at responding to emails and offering help. He was enjoyable in class, and he always did a test review day before opening the exam and these days really saved me. Overall it was great.
As long as you do the daily homework and stay caught up it's easy and enjoyable to be in his classes.
Really good at giving devotionals. Extremely inspiring and constantly teaching about learning with the Sprit. There is homework every day, but that's the nature of math classes.
He's a good math teacher. But he is excellent at giving devotionals. He would be an awesome religion teacher. I just really usually didn't enjoy going to class. The lectures were pretty long, but I went anyways because that was the only way that I was going to pass the class. Attendance is a big portion of your grade.
If you would like to feel the spirit when you are taking a math class, his is the one to take. Go in after you bomb a test and he will work with you. Key factor is you must care about your well being in his class.
Brother Howard was my favorite teacher and I would recommend him to every one. He tries really hard to improve his teaching methods to help students succeed. It was a little confusing the first week what he expected from assignments, but after that I knew exactly what he wanted. He is extremely inspirational and cares about each individual student.
Great spiritual leader but He reminds of Uncle Rico reliving his glory days. Every class, I learned half an hour of math and half an hour of his stories of a 20 credit semester while wrestling. He attained straight A's while being a good wrestler is what I heard each day. Going to the math lab was more beneficial for me.
Any chance you get take Brother Howard! Mostly because right before a test he gives a perfect test review, that is basically the test, with numbers changed. So you know exactly what is coming on the test and can prepare for it. Just study and you'll get an A!
Brother Howard is one of those guys who is so smart he can be hard to understand. He knows the material, but he spoke and wrote so fast I could never get good notes, which made homework impossible. He does go over homework problems in class which was good. If you can remember 50 theorems from a lecture without taking notes you'll be fine.
Brother Howad is literally the worst teacher I have ever had. I hated every bit of his class, and I normally do well in Math classes. No matter how much I payed attention, or tried to teach the material on my own, it was not enough. Any time I asked him a more in depth question about the material he had no idea how to respond to me.
I really liked Brother Howard. He has the best stories and is a really great person! However, I had a hard time learning the way he taught. He is not a bad teacher, but his tests were confusing and difficult and you really had to pay attention SUPER well during class to do a good job. Participation and active learning are a must to pass his class!
Spends the entire class telling stories about his family, himself, his high school wrestling days, and how smart he is. He would be better suited as a writing/religion teacher. Frustrating to pay, to hear him tell stories. When he finally gets around to math the last 5 minutes of class, he writes and speaks so fast nobody can keep up.
I was having a difficult time in the class at the start of the semester but have gotten to understand things more. He does do devotionals at the start of the class then goes into the lesson. I've learned a lot this semester and wouldn't hesitate to have him again as a teacher.
Brother Howard focused more on the "devotional" that he taught more than math. he would spend the first 30 mins doing devotional and then next 15 mins telling stories about his life that were not applicable and should not be shared in class. in the last 15 mins of class when he began to teach the criteria he taught the math way more complicated.
Brother Howard told lots of stories that were long tangents, which seemed untrue. Math has always been easy for me, so I easily received an A. He is caring, just a little odd. I wouldn't recommended if you struggle with math.
Brother H. has a really good heart. He shares a devotionals at the beginning of class and some really touched my heart. But, sometimes the devo takes up half the class time. If you really struggle with math you would be better off with a different prof. but he is always willing to go over problems with you if you print them off and bring them in.
He doesn't give proper lectures, he goes off topic about the dumbest things that have 0 correlation to the math curriculum. He gives to much homework for one given unit that I find is not benefitical to my grade or my understanding of the class in general. Large projects are given each week and they are not graded properly. or efficiently.
I really enjoyed his class, he does sometimes talk about things that don't seem on topic at first but he always finds a way to tie it back to math. There is something to be learned from everything he says even if it's not directly about math. This class is certainly challenging and tests are a big part of your grade but I would highly recommend him
Brother Howard is an amazing teacher and person. He's just a genuine human being. He loves what he teaches and you can tell. He tells great stories. Yeah there's homework, but this is college and it's math. If you take it from him, you will not be disappointed.
Above all else, Brother Howard has a really good heart. He tells a lot of stories and sometimes they can be really touching. I found it a little difficult to learn from him because I felt like I already knew a lot of the info but whenever I did have questions, he was really helpful in answering them. It's not too bad on homework either.
He is probably one of the better Math 108 teacher, but still not the greatest teacher ever. So much what's on the test he doesn't teach you, you have to go figure it out by yourself. It is incredibly frustrating when you're trying to do the homework or study guide and you just know that he did not teach you what is in front of you
He taught the material well in class, he gave funny and inspirational devotionals and he made sure that the class knew he was always available to help them. In fact, when Thanksgiving rolled around, he sent an e-mail to all of his students offering them a place at his home if they had nowhere to spend Thanksgiving. A wonderful teacher.
Super nice guy, he gives great spiritual devotionals during class but I didnt do a lot of learning math in class.
Brother Howard was one of the best math teachers I have had and I absolutely hate math! He made class enjoyable and worthwhile if you pay attention in class. He explained the material in understandable ways and tried to relate it to real life examples applicable to college students. He is very caring and wants his students to succeed.
He's a good guy, just not a good teacher. He spends most of class telling personal stories rather than the material. He's a little self righteous and always pushes people to buy books he's written or his view of the gospel. He forgot to teach some key information that was on one of the tests, so we were all screwed over because of that.
While he's not a bad guy, Brother Howard is 100% a teacher I wouldn't recommend any of my friends to. He spends more time talking about his personal life than he does teaching the material of the class, this wouldn't be an issue if he were willing to help you should you get behind. He also gives assigned seating. What college professor does that?
Brother Howard is by far my favorite teacher. He is hilarious and takes up half of class just talking about his children. I hate math with a passion, but he made budgeting and math so fun and inspiring. He has the best stories and is so understanding. Will let class out early and will stay after to answer any questions.
Bro. Howard is amazing! The spirit is always present in his classroom. There are 3 unit exams+a final. The lowest test grade is dropped the final is optional. all tests are taken online, and they're super easy. There are occasional excel projects but they're super easy, you just have to input the information. The class is honestly an easy A.
Brother Howard is a very nice guy, but I learned nothing in his class. Most of the time he spends the first 20 minutes telling a story and then after he teaches math but we never get through the lessons because he goes off on so many tangents. The homework in his class is easy, but a lot of the time there are a few subjects we never went over
Brother Howard really is a nice guy but I do not suggest taking this class if you struggle with math. He did more story telling than teaching. The only reason I passed the class is because my roommate is a math education major and she taught me more than he did.
I really liked this professor. He is so passionate about his field of work and really cares about his students' success. After class you may ask him for help with assignments and he actually goes over how to work problems unlike some teachers. The class before your test you go over the review together. No matter what teacher you get, do tutoring.
Goes off topic for the entire class, then runs out of time before explaining anything. Everyone in my class is confused and doesn't know what's going on. He also has a strict no-computer rule, but we're "learning" how to use excel???
Good teacher, will answer questions. Has cool inspirational stories before class.
Bro Howard is pretty decent. His teaching style can be hard to understand at times, but he's always willing to answer questions and help you understand. He's also very patient.
Brother Howard is a really nice guy, but his class was TERRIBLE. He doesn't explain the lessons. You have to figure them out on your own. He will answer any questions you have. Tests are so much harder then the homework. Gives stories about the scriptures before class. Really bad experience with this professor and It was a hard class.
Man's just talks about his life all class. I filed the first test because he didn't teach any material and expected you t learn it on your own at home.
Brother Howard is a nice teacher, and I have nothing personal against him. I just didn't enjoy his teaching style. Many times the lecture would be complete half-way through the class, and then he would start telling stories that didn't have anything to do with class. I felt confused when I left class, and lectures weren't always clear.
I LOVE BROTHER HOWARD! He genuinely cares about you and your success. He gets flustered in class sometimes, but as long as you are attentive you will be just fine! He is so kind and is always willing to answer any questions about grading. The tests can take a very long time, but his review sessions are so helpful!!
Brother Howard did a great job teaching this. I struggle with math and between his classes and doing homework with a friend, I got an A. He will answer questions and wants you to do as well as possible. He does tell really random stories sometimes haha, but it doesn't interfere with the learning.
His lectures were very short so that he could tell stories or let us work on the assignments. I stopped going Maybe this is a complaint about the TA but there are 2 more days in the semester and he has only put in grades up to week 7. I have a 98, but that's pnly for the first half of the semester. I have no idea what my grade actually is
Bro Howard's class can be hit or miss, but Unstuck ai was a lifesaver for test prep. His teaching style is unorthodox, but he's willing to help if you engage with the material.
I LOVE Professor Howard -- He tells lots of stories about his life. I really enjoyed them, but if you only want to focus on math, then you might not -- He is beyond sweet. He can be very personable if you get to know him. Dude's got a huge heart -- Homework was just barely on the heavy side, but was nothing I couldn't handle, and I'm bad at math :)
He has been my worst professor at BYUI. His classes are focused around him telling you stories of his life. He will also try to promote the books that he has written. He expects you to know how to do everything and often when showing how to do problems he gets them wrong and gets frustrated at you if you tell him you got a wrong answer.
To preface, I took this class knowing 99% of the material because it was a pre-req. Brother Howard was a funny guy but sometimes he would ramble for a long time about non-related subjects which I didn't really mind because it meant less real class. The material itself is extremely easy and very little studying is needed. Take this class.
Besides going on tangents, Brother Howard was a great teacher. I enjoyed that the class utilized excel for homework/projects but it didn't prepare me to use my regular calculator during tests. He was willing to be available in anyway needed by my classmates at any reasonable time of the day.
He talks to much about his personal life. Sometimes it takes up to 40 minutes to get class started. Doesn't care to learn the name of his students. Switches through PowerPoint so good luck trying to take notes. Won't answer questions and when he does he's rude. You will have to teach yourself more often than not. If you take him then good luck.
About 15 minutes, sometimes more or less, he goes on family tangents and/or religious tangents that also consume around half of the class time. And he rushes the in-class assignments, I do not feel prepared for the case studies and tests due to his lack of quality teaching. He also does not care to know our names and is disrespectful.
Great professor. kind. and I got a good grade. The only issue is he gives religious mini-lessons before class starts and expects quiet. I like the lessons but I feel like the time BEFORE class should be for connecting and catching up with classmates, not being shushed. Maybe those lessons could just happen less often so we can talk to classmates:)
