Prof. Elmore is extremely helpful. He makes what would be an extremely difficult class, into a manageable course. I recommend him definitely.

Easy class. 4 essays are the majority of your grade. Peer reviews count tho and some lil extra assignments he gives. Overall easy, but for some reason hard to get an A. I got an A tho :D Oh and you have like 3 weeks of no classes in the semester. AWESOME

Such a nice guy and so helpful! Essays were pretty easy and he gives you a chance to redo them. Very clear on what he wants, so be sure to show up to class! Allows you to miss class 5 times, so that's a plus. If you're taking ENC 1102, YOU MUST take this guy! Will not regret it!

I love professor elmore! I had him for the summer term. he's so nice and he always starts the class with funny grammar jokes. he may get off topic sometimes, but he still knows his stuff. I encourage anyone to take his class!

Real easy class, its like impossible to fail. He grades very easily. He doesnt give much classwork or homework other than 3 essays which is the majority of your grade. I recommend him highly, great professor.

I took him for both 1101 and 1102 ONLINE. I got an A both semesters. He is crystal clear with what he wants, gives great feed back, gives extra-credit (although you won't need it) and allows a re-write. The book he asks for is mandatory for the discussion posts and help a lot with the essays. He is awesome! :)

Follows the syllabus~ lets you turn in late work until the end of the semester. Very interesting class and discussions. All papers (4) tie together making it a whole lot easier. Uses the book for online discussions, available during office hours for help. Flexible deadlines if you ask

His assignments are very straight forward. His grading is fair. He's super laid back and tries to help you and give you as much time as possible. Most of his assignments have reasonable deadlines and are easy.

This class is very easy. If your reading this, I would highly recommend you take this class. The majority of ENC professors are easy, but Elmore is the easiest. Just do your work, don't miss more than 5 classes, do the discussions, and write solid essays. Lets you rewrite 1 essay, and the final exam is an online discussion that take 10 minutes. A++

Professor Elmore makes this class a lot easier than what it actually is. He assigns just the right sequence of chapters to read before each project. He provides really effective feedback with key tips to improve your writing and grade. Also, he gives tons of sample papers and videos to analyze and review in class. One of the best professors ever!

He is an excellent teacher, one of the best at FIU. The class is not hard, and you can learn more than you can imagine. He is very willing to help you in everything, and answer all your questions with the best will. He is a very happy and friendly teacher. However, he is very strict with the first papers, but then everything becomes lighter.

Overall he is a great professor, his syllabus is to the point and he gives you chances on improving your grades, in my experience I was 1.1 points away from an A- and I had done every possible extra credit possible and he wouldnt give it to me which sucked tremendously so thats the only reason why I didnt like him.

Very easy class. Online discussions, Letter/ Memo, Resume, 3 Group projects (in which the professor let's you use the class time to work outside of the class to work on them). He gives great feedback. The class is basically teaching you how to write professionally and how to work effectively in a group. Would take this professor again.

Amazing teacher. Yes, tons of work but worth it! Only negative is his last paper is worth 50% of the final class grade. I got A's on all of them and a B+ on the last one and my grade down went down a lot. But amazing, amazing, teacher. If you message him, he will answer and help you out!

Professor Elmore has the ability to teach in a way that you don't even realize you are learning! I decided to take ENC1102 with D. Elmore after taking ENC1101 with him, a class I enjoyed taking and in which I learned a lot. He's a fair grader who values class participation. He would give you another opportunity as long as you had a real problem and it shows you are trying your best. I'm looking forward to take more of his classes in the future

He is definitely the best teacher I've taken at FIU. If you need help, he is always available through skype or email and is willing to help you with whatever you need unlike most others... The class is not a hard class, and as long as you can keep up with the pace, you should be fine. You can easily get an A if you do all of his assignments.

Dr. Elmore is truly amazing. You have to be on top of your work but if you're absent for even a whole 2 weeks, he will extend the time if you email him. This class is TRULY amazing and his essay prompts are based on today's news. TAKE HIM YOU WONT REGRET IT!!

This course is really only about 3 types of essays which are on easy topics and not so lengthy. Elmore is cool and so nice. Gives extensions if you need it and an easy grader with good feedback. I took the hybrid class. An easy discussion or two to do every week. Attendance is extra points. I watched him play basketball for extra credit lol

He's honestly just the best teacher ever overall. He's caring, helpful and respectful. He'll make you laugh alot with his corny jokes but you also learn too. Attendance won't affect your grade that much but you have to do all of your assignments. It's honestly an easy A. The group projects are easy too, just put in effort and do your part.

Took him fall 2018 my first semester at FIU. He was super easy! honestly, if you fail that's all on you. He gives you until the end of the semester to rewrite all your assignments and get a higher grade. He's really into volunteer work so be prepared to be involved but he subs a class day for those events. Will need the book

Professor Elmore, is a great professor. He gives you a chance to resubmit the assignment if you want to improve your grade. He gives a lot of discussions but they super easy. He also is big into community service so be prepared to participate because you might need it for the final assignment.

What an amazing professor, he is unbelievably nice and understanding. If you fail a class with him then yikes because he gives you plenty of opportunities to make up grades and improve your work. He loves community service and helping others, and you can tell he loves what he does. If you get the chance, take him for a class.

Dr Elmore is fantastic. He's able to condense 6 week mini-terms in a way that gets all the material in, without feeling like a living hell. He gives tons opportunities for improvement (rewrites, extra credit), and really helps you grow your skills as a writer. He's a very kind person, understanding of any situations that may come up. 100% take him!

Great professor for ENC 1102. There are weekly discussions and a few essays. He is very caring and I would highly recommend this class!

Darrel is amazing- super kind-hearted and compassionate, you can tell he really cares for his students. My only complaint is that there was a bit of confusion at the beginning of the class with the pair posts but that is it. The BULK of this class is discussion posts. LOTS OF THEM. 2 to 3 a week. If you stay on top of them, you will receive an A.

Dr. E is awesome! I took him for an English class and got an A+ without breaking a sweat. His assignments are really easy to do and very fun too. He is not a harsh grader. As long as you submit a paper with everything he asked for, you will receive full credits. He is also very kind, and gives students opportunities to catch up with their late work

Absolutely amazing professor. Took him in the Spring and I have used what he taught me for every class since. He truly made me a better writer. His feedback is helpful and honest, and he is not a tough grader at all. There is quite a bit of work, but it is all actually useful and not hard at all.

Mr. Elmore is a very nice professor! He always answers your emails quickly and he loves volunteering, so there was a volunteering project for our class. Lots of super easy discussions and a 5 projects which were relatively easy. This class is a good one to take if you want to learn but not feel pressured.

I saw other reviews saying he was big volunteer service and made a whole project about it, he told us that they had changed the course so maybe that's why I did none of it. Professor Elmore was always very caring and always tried to encourage participation and healthy discussions. He's a cool guy and hosts an easy going class, for sure recommend.

He's a great professor really recommend him the only thing that I would absolutely care about from all the grades is the final paper but u have all semester to do it and you do assignments that are related to it to will help u. There will be a few quizzes that are super easy, the assignments r not hard some of them will just take some time to do.

I took him hybrid and I will say this guy is probably the best option for enc1101 his course honestly isn't very hard and although its a little bit of busywork he tries his best to liven up class and is really responsive to any situation you might have or just feedback in general. I'd definitely take him again if I had the chance.
