At first I thought he was going to be a hard professor, but Mr. Jones is a awesome professor you can tell he loves Philosophy. He loves to see his students participate and show him you want to pass. I sat in the front and I'm telling you logic is easy but can get very confusing, please do homework!!! thats a must. Im happy I took him.

I was very confuse in this class, Philosophy did not come easy for me. Mr. Jones moved a little to fast, and he teaches like you already know the subject. He is very passionate about Philosophy, and loves when you participate. You will get homework every day, that is the only way you will understand the subject. This was a stressful class for me.

This guy is a great teacher. He loves discussion and always available when you need help. Be prepared to read though. You will need the text book. His papers cost more than his test but he is a easy grader, just make sure you follow the specifics. He has a passion for philosophy and really cares for his students I would definitely take him again.

The subject is unbelievably confusing but he is great at breaking things down and allowing time in class to ask about past and upcoming homework problems. Absolutely wonderful, just wish the subject was easier.

Professor Jones is an excellent instructor. You can tell that he knows what he's talking about and that he really wants you to succeed. While the subject is difficult, he tries to make it as understandable as possible. I highly recommend him if you have to take a Philosophy course.

He gives a clear structure to how his class runs, and sticks to that formula. You'll know what to expect, so you can plan accordingly to other responsibilities you might have. His method of extra credit is interesting, as well. Lastly, he's funny and charismatic. There's much more that could be said, but just take my advice: he's a great professor.

One of the best teachers I've ever had. Tough grader but he gives you everything you need to pass, offers extra credit, and always has time to answers questions and help you pass his class. If you do your assignments and show him you care he will help you pass. I'm taking him again next semester for biomedical ethics. I HIGHLY recommend taking him.

He is very understanding when it comes to assignment due dates! He knows life goes on outside of class and will talk to you and help you according to what you need. Definitely an easy going and stress free class. He is always prepared for class and gets straight to the point of lecture.

I took Darren in the Fall of 2017. He cares very much about your grade and making sure you understand the material. It is a lot of homework but it helps. He has always had a high energy and it makes class so much easier. The first half of the semester is the hard part and the second half is the easiest. Take notes... you will need them.

Mr. Jones was amazing, Dec 2017 semester for Logic. Lots of homework but a lot of possible points. Make sure you complete all your assignments plus many opportunities for bonus work. If you fail this class is because you didn't at least try. 3 test but he goes over everything before hand plus review sheets. Mr Jones was and still is AWESOME! THANKS

Professor Jones is an acquired taste, some think he's unorganized, but as long as you are, you'll be fine. His class was incredibly interesting; his discussions and opinions helps relate the material to current day thought processes. Lots of reading and writing, form your thoughts before you submit any assignment. 5/5 will take again next semester.

Great professor, Really knows his logic! I originally registered online but could not understand, so he allowed me to attend on campus lectures and he explains it on a level anyone can understand. After that I began passing the class. Do whats expected of you and you will definitely pass the class. Would definitely recommend.

I loved that the class was a bit challenging esp. since I took it online. I do think it would be better to take in-class tho but Prof. Jones is alway available to help. I had a (1) one-on-one session with him and it helped so much! You will have to put in work but with his help and the youtube videos an A is possible. Wish I could take him again!

Great class. The teacher is very specific about what he wants you to know and explains it well during class. He makes the information interesting to learn.

Explained everything well and always willing to help after class and during office hours if needed. Lots of homework. He goes over what is on exams and what to expect. Gives great lectures. He is very understanding about how life can interfere with school and works with you.

Logic can be very confusing and difficult to learn but he finds a way to break it down and make it easier. While he's giving the lecture he will always give you a very relatable example to go with it. The class goes with the chapters in the book. You finish a chapter then do 2 home works to go with it. Lots of home work, but necessary.

He cares about your success which is something you can't find in most professors especially at the college level. He will happily review any paper or homework assignment before it's due to help improve your grade. Gives study guide days and his notes are great,they accurately prepare you for whatever test or paper. Great Professor! Highly recommend

You will have to write a few short papers but as long as you read and do the work you can make an easy A. This class was by far the easiest A.

Professor Jones is a great professor. He gives lots of reading assignments (READ THEM). He also gives lots of writing assignments about the readings (DO THEM). DO THE WORK AND YOU WILL PASS! He lets you show him your work and tells you what to fix (VERY HELPFUL). I got an A after everything was said and done. MAKES YOU WORK FOR YOUR GARDE.

This class is tough. Mr. Jones is a good teacher and cares about his students. I took this class somewhere else and brought my grade up. The first test is the most difficult. So study a lot, go to office hours, and ask lots of questions. The rest of the tests are easier, make sure to do your homework. Homework helped me to earn a B.

This guy is an amazing professor. For Logic 1013, he knew everything about the subject, and knew just how to present it so that the subject material was easy to pick up. The class is test heavy, but he lets you use notes for each test. He is super accessible and you know that he wants you to pass. Amazing guy, 10/10 would take again.

The first testis the hardest test but don't be discouraged because the next two are EASY. There is a lot of homework but he gives you adequate time to do it and will help you out with anything you don't understand. Attendance is mandatory for the first day but doesn't matter after that but it will be difficult to pass if you don't go to class.

I lived in fear of this class at the beginning of the semester. Professor Jones was very honest about the number of students who don't pass Logic, especially in the accelerated summer semester. However, his lectures were very clear and easy to follow. With the addition of reading the book, viewing his on line live, and written l've done it!

His class isnt easy but if you enjoy thinking about things in different ways then his philosophy class is great. He also has bonus point opportunities.

I just think he does a good job of simplifying some very complex material and gives relatable examples, making the material easier to understand and remember. He cares!

Darren Jones is easily one of the best professors I've had so far because of the straight-forward nature of his teaching style. He has better cohesion than most between the different factors at play (notes, homeworks, tests, etc.) and is very friendly and agreeable as well. He is lenient when he knows you're trying and correctional when it is fair.

I was a bit intimidated about this class but Professor Jones took the worry away. Logic is not a very easy subject but he has a way of simplifying and making it relatable for your understanding. First off - Prof Jones is hilarious and that's what makes his lectures so easy to follow. They are decently long (about 2.5 hours each) but they fly by. He is able to come up with real life examples that make it easier to understand. As long as you take good notes, you'll do fine or even great on the exams. Wish I needed more PHIL classes!

Professor Jones was the most organized teacher I had throughout BRCC. He explained everything word for word over and over. The only way you will not pass his class is if you do not show up for class or watch his lectures. He answers every question in a timely manner even if you ask tons. All around great teacher.

He uses mainly lectures that all connect to the book. He simplifies material into examples that make it very easy to understand/grasp. He's very laid back but also very passionate about his teaching and success of his students. He gives alot of homework, but always goes a few questions in class then goes over any questions you have the day its due.

Very friendly and ALWAYS willing to give you extra help. He allows you to use a small portion of your notes during some exams, then always goes over the exams problem to problem once graded. I promise you'll love taking any of his classes!

Prof. Jones cared a lot about making sure his students understood the assignment, reading, and would gladly answer questions or have discussions about topics. After the first test I had a 67 and thought I would for sure fail the class, but he worked with me by giving out extra credit, and gave clear instructions that I could follow to do better.

Intro to logic Awesome instructor, I really enjoyed his course. He is approachable, clear in the lectures, gives homework help, & provides all the resources needed to do well. It all boils down to your ability to comprehend the content. Grade weighs in only two areas: 30% HW and 70% exams (3 exams total). Definitely can pass but only with effort.

I'm about to graduate, this guy had the best lectures by far. Great teacher, highly recommend and the class isn't too difficult. My only criticism is the questions for quizzes/tests are more about the quality of notes than your understanding of the information, this is so he can prevent personal bias. So take good notes and you will be fine.

This professor is the best and I am always in the hot seat because I come prepared on what I am going to answer in my mind where I understand and analyze solving it through the problem or statements from my thinking and he is the professor that teaches in each chapter. Absolutely loved Prof Jones and this class. The lectures were live each class, but he left them posted for two weeks if you couldn't attend. It made it really easy to manage my time, as I had another class during the live sessions. I wish I had taken his in-person class because he is so funny!! He really wants you to pass the class

Overall a good professor , he will work with you, gives extra credit, I just don't like how the tests are worth a big portion of your grade, you could do so well on assignments and flunk by failing the tests . Tests are open notes not open book which could help out

THE BEST!!!! What everyone says it's true. One of the BEST professors at BRCC. Logic is not an easy subject but Professor Jones gives multiple opportunity for extra credit, and Open NOTES testing. Just pay attention, ask questions and take great notes you should be fine.
