If you are planning to take this course, wait to get him as your teacher. He is so smart and funny. Every class was intresting. Really tries to make his class fun and makes the information easy to learn. GREAT TEACHER!

Ritzer is a great professor! He's such a goofball and makes psychology fun. I would recommend him to anybody wanting to take a class that they can truly enjoy. He doesn't take roll, but you'll find that you want to go to class anyway. it's relatively easy

GREAT TEACHER!! Dr. Ritzer is one of the best professors at Winthrop, his class is great and he is such a great guy. He knows everyones name in classes of 70 people. Very caring.

You will actually hate to miss this class! Lots of interesting stories (he's worked with a lot of psycos), videos (like a narcaleptic dog, lol!), pics/commics etc. My very favorite class so far! NO reading. Lots of notes, but easy!

If Ritzer is easy its because he teaches so that college students can understand and be intrested. Ritzer rocks!

Ritzer is awesome. His class was interesting, and you learn a lot. He uses examples that are easy to understand and hilarious. (Rusty the narcoleptic dog and the french fry guy, lol). TAKE HIM!!!

Ritzer is the BEST!!! Makes the class easy to pass & fun. I think he realizes that it is a Gen Ed course & we have to take it, so he makes it worthwhile. TAKE THIS PROF ABOVE ALL OTHERS!!! Didn't even purchase book...all info comes from PowerPoints. All you have to do is come to class, & you will ace it. Lots of extra credit too.

Hands down the BEST professor I have EVER had. He knows his stuff and presents it in a very interesting and hilarious way. He has a great sense of humor. Math is my worst subject and I never seem to understand it, but when i took him for 301 I made an A! Take him!

Very word powerpoints. I'm a math person & had taken a year of stats before but if I hadn't then I would have been screwed in his class. I recommend him for 101 but not 301.

He is soooo funny! He really does make the class alot more interesting for students. He usually throw out jokes thats funny and realistic! Class is easy just pay attention and go over study guide and you will pass! yes, you have to study(but not for hours)- but this is college! OF COURSE you have to study! Great great Professor!!

Great professor! I did really bad on the first test but made Bs on the next one and the final and finished with a B-. He gives extra credit and the two 2 page papers (very easy) helped a ton. Totally recommend him but take goods notes and actually study and you should be fine. I'd recommend him to anyone.

I have taken multiple classes with Dr. Ritzer and I have enjoyed every one of them. He is funny and very knowledgeable about the subjects that he is teaching. He is more than willing to meet and discuss pretty much anything, whether it be class concerns, or plans for the future. I strongly recommend taking any of Dr. Ritzer's classes!

Obviously everyone loves this Dr. Ritzer. He's really cool and funny and I never dreaded going to his class. We never have homework, just make sure to study hard for his test because it's hard to remember every detail of what you learn in his class. I studied only the night before each exam and made an A-. Oh and he gives extra credit!

Took this class in the fall, now taking 302. No other professor could ever get me to take a class at 9 am in the summer. Makes class interesting and fun. Lots of notes, but if you come to class and pay attention, you'll do well. Doesn't require you to buy the book!

Best Teacher I've ever had! Made class interesting and funny! Attendance is not mandatory, but I never missed a class because he tests directly from lectures. He also gives extra credit. First test was harder than expected, but once I knew what to expect, I did much better. Made an A but definitely must study!

Dr. Ritzer is hilarious! I have learned so much out of his class. But his tests are extremely hard. He gives extra credit which helps, but be prepared to be tripped up on his tests. Love him as a person and love his class. Don't love his tests.

Dr. Ritzer is an AMAZING teacher, because of the funny ways he teaches makes the information easier to remember!But if you want to do well, you still need to study and come to class. (Even though, I don't see why you would miss it miss his class)

He's got a dry sense of humor and he knows what he's talking about. If you're looking to take a good psychology course, definitely try to get him. If you know all the material, you only have to be in class for the four days that he has exams. All of his info comes from lecture and slides so you don't have to buy a book. He's an excellent professor.

I've had Ritzer for several classes, and he's great. Take him. Textbook not required, attendance not mandatory, but all information is given in class, so attendance is suggested. It's not like going to his class his a chore anyway, he makes everything funny and interesting.

This was an easy class. You should definitely take Dr. Ritzer's intro class. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it's very beneficial if you show up every class meeting. He makes jokes to keep you awake, and presents some really good information.

Dr. Ritzer is THE BEST Psychology professor on campus. If you can take him, DO IT! He is really funny and his study guides and reviews make it next to impossible to do poorly on the exams (p.s the final is not cumulative). If you come to class, take good notes, and put a little effort in studying you will get an A in his course.

Professor Ritzer is the most hilarious professor at Winthrop. He actually makes the subject interesting and his sarcasm is great. This class is so simple and chill. He will bring people that have surveys, and if you do them, you get extra credit for it. 2 papers, 2 tests, one final. It couldn't be better! Take this class! You won't regret it.

Ritzer made psychology research methods as fun as possible. He has a funny and slightly sarcastic attitude that keeps the class flying by quickly. As long as you study and pay attention in class, it's an easy A. DO THE STUDY GUIDE! ALL OF IT! Trust me, it will be worth it when you get an A on the test.

Dr. Ritzer is a very entertaining and knowledgeable guy. His lectures are sprinkled with personal stories (he used to interview prisoners) and sarcasm. Not a lot of work, and the work that is issued is fairly easy. 10/10 would recommend!

Hilarious and interesting class

Dr. Ritzer is a great professor! This is a difficult subject but he does a great job of explaining and making the material interesting. He also is open to helping outside of class to ensure you understand material.

Dr. Ritzer is one cool dude! He explains the course material in a very relevant and -easy-to-understand way, and he provides real-world examples. He's also SUPER funny, extremely knowledgeable, and gives excellent feedback. In addition he gives plenty of extra credit. He also does not provide/require a textbook for this class! I highly recommend!

One of my favorite professors at Winthrop and I hate that because of my major I won't get to take any other class with him. Ritzer is a MUST. ppts every day but he makes the lectures fun, tells great stories and cuts up with students. attendance isn't mandatory but he can tell who doesn't show up & it shows in your grade. only 3 tests (counting the final) and the final isn't cumulative!, 2 easy papers (what you want & got from the class) and gives extra credit

Ritzer was one of my favorite professors. He was hilarious and wasn't scared to speak his mind at all in class. All of the lectures was awesome and stories went along with the lectures, to help you understand the information more. Attendance wasn't mandatory but to get the most out of his class I would recommend going. I LOVED THIS CLASS! Take him.

Honestly one of the best professors! You have to show up to pass though, because he doesnt post the lectures, but at least you dont have to buy a book. Only 3 exams (which are the exact same as the lectures), 2 papers (one at the beginning and one at the end-what do you expect to get out of the class, what you got out of the class) and gives EC.

As a senior at WU, I have now taken 4 classes with Dr. Ritzer. He is my absolute favorite professor at the entire institution. I appreciate his bluntness and his humor keep you engaged in the class. He says what he feels and I personally, love that. Copy his powerpoints and show up to class and you'll pass his tests with 0 problems. LOVE HIM!!

Ritzer is great! His lectures are very interesting. He doesn't require a textbook or attendance, but you need to go to class to get the notes for test material. You have to study for tests, but they are clearly outlined in study guides. The final isn't cumulative! Pay attention and take notes, and you'll definitely pass!

Attendance is not mandatory, but that does not mean you should not come to his class. He does not do BlackBoard or assigns homework so it is important to come to class to understand each lesson. You will also miss out on his many jokes and helpful tips. He goes over anything and everything. Very helpful and his class was easy when you take notes

He was an amazing professor! Only thing you had to do was make sure you showed up for lectures. No quizzes, homework, tests, or attendance. Yall take Dr. Ritzer for Psyc 301 instead (he only teaches it over the summer) He does grade hard on the labs but it helps you on your exams. You are able to use your notes and labs on the exams. So it's easy to pass

Dr. Ritzer is an engaging professor who makes the material enjoyable. His lectures are thorough, and attending class is crucial. Unstuckstudy was a helpful study tool alongside the course materials.
