He is a great teacher and always willing to help.

Professor Wiberg makes his class passable, but I'm not sure how well he perpares his students for future math classes.

He was always willing to help. He explained things in a way that was easy to understand. I have NEVER been good at math, I would always just barely pass and now I am getting an A. I have signed up for math 1000 with him because I think he is an amazing teacher. I would highly recommend him to everyone. Everyone in my class also really likes him.

I think he's a great teacher, he teaches you the stuff so you can know it. Sometimes in class he'll say this isn't hard, when it might be to other people, but he teaches the stuff well and knows exactly what he's doing. His tests are only like 15 questions long and the homework isn't due until the day of the test.

He is a great teacher, who explains clearly...which is extremely important for someone like me. He also has a great sense of humor and makes us laugh everyday.

Realy good at writing examples on the board and showing the steps. good fot taking notes that will alow you to pass the tests.

He is quite possible the best math teacher i've ever had! I will take him until I have to take 1050, because he is so awesome! VERY helpful, VERY interested in whether you are understanding it or not, and VERY cool, good sense of humor! Always there and ALWAYS prepared!!

I love this guy!! He is willing to help you as much as he can, you just have to ask him. He has a good sense of humor and it helps to take the agony out of taking a math class. I will take math from him again and I would recommend him to annnnyone!

Very clear teacher. Knows the subject very well, and teaches with a great attitude. I would take any math class from him again. If you come to class and listen to the lectures you will do very well in this class. He's willing to help you whenever you can make it to his office. I appreciate teachers like Professor Wiberg!

Okay he was not my favorite but that may be because i hate math. He is not very tolerable of people who have no idea what they are doing. Even though i thought he was rude a few times, he was also nice and explained things pretty well. I learned a ton! A lot has to do with your effort. I was happy Iwith the class, I ended up liking him as a teacher

If all the math teachers were as understanding and genuine as this, i would not dread going to any class. He is by far the best math teacher uvsc has to offer.

Great teacher makes sure everyone understands. His examples are very clear and easy to understand, also clear enough to review the days notes. Not only was I disapointed that he wasn't teaching Math 1010, the rest of the class was also disapointed. I highly recommend

ALmost didn't add me to class but once I got in, I enjoyed his classes. He makes a person think ALOT and it can be frustrating when the whole reason you are in a lower math class is because you obviously don't understand the subject, but attending classes, you are rewarded and he is cool.

he is really great. Best thing he has is the organization of his notes, the notes you take in class actually help with homework and tests. Just remember to keep on task, dont get behind. He can seem rude sometimes but he's a good teacher.

The test are mult. choice and if you just go to class or just do your homework the test are quite easy. He is very clear and understandable with his lessons. I would recommend him to anyone!!

Darren is a solid teacher. He teaches extremely clear and is very organized with his notes how he presents the material. Although he is a bit cocky, he's an excellent teacher and I would refer him to anyone. I took him for 2 math courses and he had the highest student return rate that I have ever seen...he must be doing something right.

Darren is amazing! this class is super easy and helpful. he is always willing to help and is always there to help. he can be hard at times but its worth it in the end.

I absolutely loved Wiberg. I didn't get a good grade in this class though and I have to take 1010 again. I'm not good at math but if you really apply yourself you can definitely pass this class. There is a lot of homework. Expect a few hours a week of it.

He was a wonderful math teacher. He had creative ideas to make the problems easier to understand. He is very willing to help and he grades fair. If you want a teacher who will help you learn math and a teacher who will make things simpler than he is the teacher for you. Take your class from him!! You wont regret it.

He is a wonderful teacher. I have always struggled with math even at its simplest levels but he was able to make it so easy. Very willing to help and a good sense of humor. You should attend class but he does not require it. Homework is minimal and tests are short. No midterm and the final is not cumulative. Great teacher. High recommendation!

I love this teacher and I plan to take him for all my math classes if I can. He goes kind of fast but makes sure that you understand before he moves on. He encourages you to work hard and do your best. I have always struggled with math, but I just understood the way he taught. He shows you all the tricks and the easy way to do it. Take him!!

Super easy class. Allowed to take tests online with notes and book AND given two chances to take each test.

This guy taught me how to ride a bike. It was a little embarrassing that I made it to 30 without knowing how, but he did a great job teaching me. turns out he's like a pro mountain biker himself. Knows how to rip it on the trail like a boss.

Super cool professor. he really goes out of his way to make sure you understand. home work everyday! you'll use the text book a lot, but not the lab! quizzes online & the test too. you have 2 tries. so if you study, you can totally pass his class!

Probably my best math teacher I've ever had. He was fair but required you to work hard. Will answer your questions in class and outside of class. Very organized and gives a lot of tips for math problems. Will definitely take for 1010

I am terrible with math, and I ended up with an A because he's an awesome teacher and I worked hard all semester. Go to class, otherwise you'll fall behind and it's hard to catch up. He's clear about what he expects and if you work hard you will easily pass. Sometimes he made students feel dumb if they asked questions, but he's just trying to help.

Great instructor! Teaches algebra in a way that anyone can understand it and if you need extra help he's usually always available. Grading criteria us pretty cut and dry, there are quizzes, which are on canvas, generally at the end of every chapter and the in class final at the end of the semester.

WIBERG! IS! SO! SOLID! This guy is honestly the best math teacher I have ever had. His online courses only have one due date, but don't procrastinate. Stay caught up, or it will be very difficult to complete the course on time. Each chapter pre-test is in the exact same format of the actual test - just different problems. Seriously, TAKE HIM!

Wiberg was great! 1010 is a tough class, but he made the material very clear and easy to understand. There is a good amount of homework involved, but if you work hard at it the tests will come easy. Make sure you go to class because if you don't, you will get very far behind. I would definitely take him again, wish he taught 1050.

Professor Wiberg is a great math teacher. He teaches in a very simple and effective way. The tests are on the easier side and you can use your notes. Homework doesn't count for very much but it's important. It's a very fast paced class so you can't really miss very often. Professor Wiberg is hard to approach. I had a hard time asking him questions.

He is an excellent teacher and is always willing to answer questions you have. The tests are worth 40% of your grade and the final is also worth 40%. It is definitely a hard class but he is willing to work with you so you are able to understand. I recommend him to anyone who is willing to work hard and ask questions.

This was my second time taking Math 1000 and it was so much easier from Professor Wiberg than it was the first time around, and it was even online! He is easily accessible and I would definitely take him again.

Class was online. They used ODM Education software. Basically, they use YouTube! teachers from high school to college to teach you the course work. So you pay practically nothing for the online course, but in reality, it is all free on YouTube! They also let you use a graphing calculator all semester, which you need, and then forbid it on the exam.

I took this professor in the summer and he was AMAZING. He is so smart and he ALWAYS makes sure that you understand the material before he moves on. His lectures are so nice and organized. He always made me comfortable enough to ask questions and he never ever belittles his students. I would take him every single math class if I could.

I took a Sat class for 4 1/2 hours and from day one, LITERALLY, I understood everything he was teaching me! I have failed college algebra 3 times, but it wasn't until I took this class that I actually got it. The BEST part was that he told you what was on the final while you took notes. Go to class, take notes; worth it! Don't take anyone else!!!

Honestly the best math teacher I've ever had. he has helped me learn math concepts that I've struggled to understand in the past. He is always making jokes in class too and I really look forward to going to class with him. He is always open to help you when you don't quite understand something. I would defiantly recommend him as a math teacher!!

His math 1000 class was generally easy enough. I had a hard time because I have a hard time with math in general. Its hard in an online setting not to be able to ask for help immediately. Most lectures were through khan academy so they helped me out. Exams are pretty hard.

Darren is a very kind math professor! Hes very thorough with showing you different ways to do problems. You 100% need to take homework. You can take exams 3 times & the highest score is kept, so dont be super overwhelmed!

A lot of the homework I had to figure out on my own but if I had questions, he was easily accessible and happy to help me understand. I loved that he had some videos throughout the course but not for every subject. Overall, I had a great experience with him despite that this was an online math class with no video instruction.

Mr. Wiberg is one of the best professors I've ever had. He helps everyone understand the material in a super simple way. I feel very prepared for MAT1050 after taking his class. Show up and show him you can want a good grade.

Each class he taught the material on the whiteboard so well and then would give us time to complete our assignment so we wouldn't have any homework. I would 100% recommend to take his class!

This was my first math class in 7 years so it took a lot of work and time for me, but I liked his teaching style. He uploaded videos on how to do the homework which was a huge help since I took this online! Without the videos I would have struggled a lot more than I did! The exams were open note but the final is not.

The class reviews material you're expected to already know, with lectures recorded for easy review. The instructor and TA are helpful and available outside class. Exams are heavily weighted, homework stays open all term, and the final review doesn't fully match the actual final. B, for not doing too well on the first two exams, didn't study well.
