He is an excellent teacher. He uses the dry erase board very effectively with many different colored markers to help you understand each problem step by step. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to gain a full understanding of the material and anyone who will be taking upper level math classes in the future.
I took him for summer 1 after i dropped this class in spring. take home quizzes, 5 test and a final, math xl. amazing teacher! I got an A. He is so easy to understand. Basically he speaks college kid language.
This teacher is terrible. He teaches you something and right after will TIME Test you on it. He goes over stuff very quick. He also is awkward and not helpful if you do not understand. I have never dropped a class before, but this was hardly a class. It is terrible I do not recommend this class, or teacher.
So I loved Mr. Wilkinson so much, I took him for all the maths I did at Blinn! He genuninly wants all students to understand the material. He explains clearly and uses dry erase boards effectifly. There's alot of homework from the book, but if you're diligent, you'll be fine. There's also online math hw in addition, but it's not too bad.
So, I loved this prof so much I took him for algebra and trig! He's such a nice guy and genuinely wants his students to learn. Im pretty certain he's the best Blinn prof. You do alot of hw from the book, but you just have to stay on top of it and youll do fine. theres online hw in addition, but thats not to bad.
Excellent math teacher, he is tough at the beginning but it gets easier, just don't fall behind. He interesting to listen to can be pretty funny at times. Hes also very helpful outside of class.
He is a really nice person but is a little tough. Test are most of the time different from the material he actually taught. Wouldn't take him again but it was interesting
Excellent instructor. Very helpful when you have a problem. Clear explanations tailored to YOU ! Very good use of diagrams and in class teaching aids. Very fair teacher. You will have to work and memorize the required material but he makes it somewhat easy.
This class is kind of hard but he is a great teacher. He uses various learning tactics that really help the students out. He is also really funny and keeps your attention. If you are willing to do the work, this class can be very rewarding
I recommend this professor for everyone. He teaches how to do things in a smart, clear, and interesting way (much easier than the book). I learned a lot from his class. He's also extremely helpful outside of class. Quick to respond to emails, and genuinely cares about the students! 2 thumbs up.
GREAT TEACHER! took him after not being a math for a while and was very successful. Must attend everyday, take great notes and work hard, but if you do you can get a A/B no problem. utilize his office hours and make sure you are clear on all concepts for test.STONGLY RECCOMENDED
plz find a better professor than him. I worked so hard putting his class before all my other classes, I went to tutorials, utilize his office hours, all for a grade of C. the prob with this guy is that he gives out easy examples on his lectures but on the hw, quizes, n the exams, the problems are hard n so his lectures r useless.
one of the beset math teachers ive ever had. The man knows his stuff and knows how to convey it to students so that EVERYONE will understand. He took the time to actually know all the students names (impressive to me) and seems to legitmately care. You will have to work, but you want to for him
Be HIGHLY prepared to memorize, study, study, and study! I wrote every thing we had to memorize for all our tests on note cards and lets just say by the end of the semester i had over 300 note cards. All 5 test were cumulative so all the information always repeated!!! The examples done in class are no where near as hard as the ones on the tests>:(
I took Mr. Wilkinson for Precal and it was really hard. He's funny and engages the class, but he whizzes through concepts so it's hard to keep up. His tests are rough (first test class average of 55) and he does not curve. He supposedly has the highest fail rate of all math teachers, so unless math is your thing I would choose someone easier.
He loves to engage the class which is nice, but make sure to pay attention to his concepts. Because his examples are helpful but on the test he is more concerned with the overall concept versus just the problem. If you know the concepts before the test you will be fine
Professor Wilkinson is a great teacher. I took his Calculus 1 course. He is very clear, the problems that he works out on the board will be the types of problems that are on his test. Do your homework and study your notes before test and quizzes and you will get a good grade. I highly recommend this professor.
He gives you about 20 questions from the book for each class and a take home quiz each week. Do the homework the day it is discussed in class or else it piles up quickly. He is humorous and well organized. Tests were redonculously hard compared to homework(no referencing formulas or using calculator). Lots of memorizing if you want to do well.
He is an awesome teacher! He made everything makes sence and went through the info until you got it. Lots of homework but tests are not all that hard as long as you pay attention and complete homework. Favorite math teacher
Amazing professor! I really enjoyed having him as a prof bc he actually cares if you understand the material. He is very energetic and somewhat entertaining which kept me attentive! I;m no math whiz so calculus was difficult for me! I failed every test (except final) but got good grades on the quizzes and homework and managed to get a C.
Really great prof! Super clear with his teaching, as long as you do the book work correctly, you will definitely be prepared enough. The tests are long for the time limit, and he uses lots of trig, but overall really not too bad at all. Great class and lectures that i could easily pay attention to! Take him!
Professor Wilkinson is one of THE MOST helpful math professors at Blinn! I'm not going to lie, his class was a lot of work (online homework and book work plus take-home quizzes) BUT with the take home quizzes, I went to his office hours and he stepped me through every problem. Made a "B" in his class, but I didn't work as hard. Taking him again!
He is a really nice professor and is very helpful if you stop by his office. His class is very heavy on trig, test are not easy. He didnt curve any tests or drop any quiz or homework.
Wilkinson is a very sweet professor, and seems to be very helpful. I will warn you that in class, everything seems easy and the homework seems like high school level algebra, but his quizzes and tests are HARD. I would recommend him only if you have a strong math background.
Do your self a favor and do not take this profesor. I thought i was good at math untill i came into this class. His quizes are hard, the homework is long, and the test look nothing at all like anything he gives you. listen to me and safe yourself from failing.
Very helpful during office hours, he walked me through the take-home quizzes, which helped. He is notorious for difficult quizzes & tests. Homework is basically just busy work to raise grades, but it ends up hurting your grades without the right practice for the hard test questions. Walking through some questions in class is not enough.
He's a good professor but I took his class during a summer session, so of course it wasn't as easy. But, he is kind of unorganized. He always made up problems as he went along with lecture, and when the test came around he didn't explain some things on the test in class. I wouldn't take him again, but he's definitely not the worst.
Mr. Wilkinson is pretty good. Tons of homework assignments but he grades those on completion. There are usually test questions that we didn't go over in class, which really sucks, but if you go to him in his office hours (which he has a lot of), he is super helpful. He is also super hilarious in class. You'll have to work for a good grade!
He is a really good teacher however he makes things harder than they need to be... He is one of the hardest pre cal teachers at Blinn. If you go to his office hours he will help you a lot!
He keeps the class engaged and is entertaining. I took him for a minimester and he made those 4 hours a day go by like nothing. Also had a lot of helpful hints to help you remember formulas and makes everything easy to understand. He does offer extra credit opportunities. You still have to work hard and keep up with the homework to do well.
Wilkinson is a great teacher and really helpful during his office hours. His assignment are pretty difficult, but you can always go in and ask him questions. It's definitely a weed out class so if you can stick with it the first half of the semester, you'll be fine when the final rolls around.
Wilkinson was really great because he taught and tested the class in a way that over-qualified them to take the final exam. He assigns a lot of homework but is consistently helpful and friendly. He's always willing to explain more during lectures if even one person admits they are struggling.
He is one of the best math teachers I've had! He absolutely loves his job and would still teach math even if he was given a million dollars(or so he told us). Very effective teacher and gives you fun ways to remember formulas. Tests are challenging but not too difficult. I highly recommend him!
Prof. Wilkinson is very good at teaching calculus and is very helpful in office hours. However, he does give a significant amount of homework (including quizzes) and his tests are difficult. I very much recommend that you take Wilkinson if you have the opportunity to, just know that you have to put in the work. He is also really funny in class.
He is a really fun, energetic, helpful professor. Great guy, but his class is extremely hard. You can expect 100 textbook questions(at least), an online assignment or two, and a couple of take home quizzes due every two weeks. Lectures are easy, HWexams suck. Get a tutor and study every day. Would not take again if given the opportunity.
Amazing! I have always sucked at math but Mr. Wilkinson is such a great teacher! I was able to understand all of his lectures because he is so good at explaining everything. If I could I would definitely take him again. He gives a lot of homework but it really does help practice in order to understand the material Test difficult but love his class
Professor Wilkinson has been by far my favorite professor. He is hilarious and makes the class participate daily, ultimately making you learn the material very well. He assigns a lot of homework, but he just scrims through it to make sure you actually wrote down something. His tests are very difficult, but he offers A LOT of extra credit.
Horrible teacher! Do not take his class, his test are beyond hard. Not only that but he admits to it.
Mr. Wilkinson was an awesome professor! Don't listen to the bad reviews. His tests are open ended, but as long as you did all the homework you should be good. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. He is super nice and helpful. His lectures are easy to listen to because he is so upbeat. Im taking him again for 1325!
Mr. Wilkinson is so sweet but he is a very hard math prof. every thing seems easy in his class and on online homework but the second you take a quiz or test BAMMM 35. he grades really tough. if you do not have a strong math background I would not recommend his class. He is nice though!!
Such a great teacher. If you don't understand, he's always there to help you. Keeps lectures entertaining and is funny. Test are hard, but as long as you study and do all the homeworks and extra problems you'll make a great grade. Would take him again as a teacher.
Good class but can be hard if you slack off.
Take him if you can. Probably the best professor I ever had and he's really easy going. The class itself is not meant to be an easy class, if you're looking for an easy way out - then I don't have a solution for you. That being said, you have to work for your grade but his teaching is on point. I'd love to take him for Calc II if it was offered.
I have never taken any calculus before. Since the majority of MATH 1325 is calculus, I knew I would have a hard time making an "A" in the class. I personally don't recommend Wilkinson because he goes through lectures too quickly, the homework assignments are way more difficult than class assignments, and tests are even more difficult. I dropped.
This professor is just okay. He keeps lectures interesting, and kind of fun but thats it. He gives TONS of homework, and have 1-2 quizzes every week, which are very hard. His tests are 5x harder than the practice problems in the lesson and sometime have questions that you have never seen before. Very sweet man. But I would not take him again.
prof wilk is very tough. his tests are very herd, and the majority of my class Q dropped it. he gives a little extra credit at the end but not enough to really help.
The best math teacher I've had at Blinn. He is very helpful and wants his students to succeed. Math is tough but he tries to make it easy. He is very clear about what you need to know for the tests, so if you study what he tells you then the exams shouldn't be that hard. Make sure to do all of the homework and extra credit if you want that A.
Professor Wilkinson is one of the best mathematics professors at Blinn College. He goes out of his way to help every student learn the material. At times, you may be overwhelmed by the material, but stay after class and talk to himhe'll put everything into place. Do yourself a favor and take Professor Wilkinson. You will not regret it.
Does not present the information clearly in class thus making it hard to understand the material. Also a lot of the math i learned was self taught through the mylabplus . He made it hard to understand. Also does not give test reviews and is a tough grader on all tests. Tests arent multiple choice. No office hours... Do not recommend if u suk @ math
Sweet guy, but really hard class. A lot of people in my class are doing well, but if you are like me and AWFUL at math, find an easier professor. Otherwise, always do the extra credit and online homework. I tried to go to office hours once, and he wasn't there and the people who had been to his before said he acted like he didn't have time for them
This professor is not the easiest, but if you like math, you will do just fine. There is a lot of homework but the homework helps you to study and will help you to do better on the exams. Math isn't supposed to be super easy, but if you just pay attention and do the homework you should make an A! Extra credit at the end of the semester also!!!
This is one of the best professors at Blinn. He's a tough grader only to help you so that you don't make any mistakes in the future. If you ever need him, he's there and is always willing to answer any an every question.
HE IS THE BEST PROF AT BLINN COLLEGE! Seriously. He is super helpful and super straightforward and goes at the pace that his students need him to go. He is very willing to help you outside of class. His test came straight form take home quizzes and he didn't try to trick you at all. I HIGHLY recommend him.
I highly recommend this teacher, he is the BEST math teacher I have ever had. His lectures are enjoyable even when he is teaching a difficult lesson. Tests are hard if you don't prepare for them and yes he does give a load of hw before each test, but its mostly just a participation grade and he only gives take home quizzes! Take Mr. Wilkinson!
While no math class is going to be a walk in the park but Professor Wilkinson gives everyone the same opportunity to do well. He makes himself available. He has four test which can be kind of hard if you don't study but also offers extra credit at the end of the semester. So do yourself a big favor this semester and take Professor Wilkinson
Ive always been bad at math but Wilkinson made it easier. He is full of energy and has amazing lectures. He is one of my FAVORITE TEACHERS. He loves his job and is great at it. Would highly recommend him to students who are ready to learn, because he is an excellent teacher. There is a lot of homework before each test but use it as a review!
Professor Wilkinson did a poor job explaining what he wanted on his free response test. He also gives out take home quizzes that are nearly impossible. Would not recommend taking him as a professor.
Overall really nice, sweet dude. But as a professor hes shaky. You really need to take advantage of MyLab and teach yourself. The vast majority of my class q dropped. The problems we go over in class are very easy and simple but the quizzes and exams are insanely difficult. All quizzes are take home but the average grades were in the 60's usually.
He's an awesome professor! I suck at math, mainly because I don't put in as much effort as necessary. Although I dropped his pre cal class (I was barely passing & I have changed my major) I am taking him for business math next semester. Lol, cool professor but like I said you have to put in the effort. Also, do all the extra credit when given!!!
Prof Wilkinson is seriously one of the best. At first I was frustrated with his grading but once you understand him as a teacher, you get the hang of it! His tests are just like his take home quizzes and he really cares about our success! He makes a lot of dad jokes, which makes class more fun. For sure a doable class! TAKE HIM!!!!!
Nice dude, bad Professor. Take another Professor if you can. If you cant teach yourself then good luck.
Top 10 guy bottom 10 prof
Take home quizzes are impossible!! I work so hard in the class and I am scraping by with a B. Usually test averages are in the 60s. I like the way he teaches its just the level of difficulty in notes/homework does not match the tests!!! You have to put in work dont think this will be a blowoff.
He's a very nice guy, but there's a major difference between what he goes over in class vs what's on the test. Best bet is to avoid him.
The homework doesnt prepare you at all for the test because he hates the book. Its hard to get a good grade on take home quizzes. So many people Q-drop. The best grade I made was on the final because he didnt make the test, although he added extra questions of his own. Tests are short answer, every now and then hell add a couple multiple choice
Great guy, hard class. He does a decent enough job of teaching the material. It's a hard subject on top of the fact that his tests and quizes tend to be different and more complex than the homework. However, math is not my strong suit so this class was hard for me.
Overall wasn't too hard but there was way to much homework and it was all just do the same problem 30 times. All in all not too hard
Mr. Wilkinson is an amazing professor! I have never felt like math was my strong point, but he made it very easy to understand. His lectures are very comprehensive and he leaves plenty of time for questions, saying he's "happy to help." He is such a happy guy, and he loves to tell jokes. I enjoyed his class; it was one of my favorites to attend.
Professor Wilkinson is GREAT! He makes his lectures fun and he is pretty funny. Take home quizzes are difficult but the tests are easier. There is A LOT of homework from the textbook. He is super nice and available outside if class.
Taking the class right now. Hes such a tough grader for Cal1. I never saw any reviews for his Cal class. Its difficult. For my first exam our class average was a 60 with no curve at all. I dont think im gonna last long in his class. 2nd time taking calculus. He expects u to know many things. He makes his lessons very confusing exams r nuts.
You're expected to know the unit circle and trig identities. There is a LOT of homework problems and the book sometimes doesn't line up with what he teaches. He's also easier to understand than the book, in my opinion. Gives take home quizzes and tells you exactly when in class quizzes will be. If you put in the work and study, you should be fine.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. If you are not pretty good at math already, you will fail this class or get pretty close to it. He is a nice person but a terrible teacher. He is accessible outside of class but no where near enough the amount of time needed to actually learn what happened in class. SO much homework, does not go in depth enough in class
Where to get started? Cal 1 is difficult and more difficult with this professor. He has terrible dad jokes & explains likes a high school teacher. He will explain the easy problems and expects u to know how to work out hard problems. That being said he WILL MAKE YOU THINK. Sometimes all of the class would be confused. He goes on random tangents.
The course is hard in general, but he is only 1 of 2 good professors for the course. Theres tons of hw but honestly just do the review. Quizzes are super hard, but tests are fair and way easier. He's super sweet and never makes you feel dumb. Im alright at math & thought he explained everything well. Would take again for sure, his spots go fast!!!
he is easily the best professor at Blinn. he is enthusiastic about what he is teaching and will work with you individually to make sure you understand the material. there is lots of homework for the class but overall he is a solid teacher who wants you to pass the class
I loved having Mr. Wilkinson for Math 1324, he was a great teacher and wanted all his students to do well! You can tell he has a passion for math and enjoys it. There was lots of hw before tests, but definitely helped! The tests were pretty easy to me but the final was a bit more difficult because none of the material correlated.
The class itself is the hardest thing BUT this prof is probably one of the best. He explains super well. However, the take home quizzes are IMPOSSIBLE (GET A TUTOR!) due to the fact those questions are harder than in class. Lots of homework! Tests are still difficult. Lots of extra credit. Rounded me up to a C! GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS!!!
Took his class for Summer I, class is difficult but he was a great teacher and wanted all his students to succeed in his class. The take home quizzes are difficult (get a tutor if possible) make sure you complete them, it really helps for credit. Lots of homework before the test, but again he gives points. Make sure you do all the extra credit.
He is a very good teacher, quite awkward and funny. He knows what he is talking about. He is a good teacher and will do everything he can to help you. If you go during office hours he will be happy to help you. His teaching is very interactive so kinesthetic learners should take! Very much recommended.
This professor is one of the hardest. The notes you take in the class are way easier than the quizzes and test which makes you think you know what your doing when you dont. You also have so much home work. I dont know anyone in this class that is passing right now.
Mr. Wilkinson is a very good teacher. It's obvious he is passionate about math and cares about his students. There is a lot of homework but it's graded based on completion. The take home quizzes are extremely challenging. both the homework and the quizzes are more difficult than what is taught in class. Tests aren't too difficult but work fast
really hard class but he knows how to teach! gives credit on tests for ANY work done, and opportunity for A LOT of extra credit on final. super funny and engaging and CARES about his students. If you show youre trying he will help you get the grade best he can.
This class was the easiest A I have ever made. If you're at least fairly good at math, you will have absolutely no issues in here and won't have to put much effort into it. However, there is a fair amount of homework that can be quite time consuming so don't save it all to do at once. Wilkinson is very sweet and genuinely wants you to succeed.
I took Wilkinson for 1324 and it went okay. He's a very nice professor, and never makes you feel stupid. He explains things in a way you'll understand however, his exams and take home quizzes are EXTREMELY hard. Way harder than most examples he went over in class. Also, there is a lot of homework. Most of my class is fighting for a C right now.
I had Wilkinson for Calculus II. He is a great teacher who is good at explaining difficult concepts on a simpler level. However, is test are very hard! Even if you know what you're doing, it is pretty difficult to make an A on the exams. He puts hard problems on his tests.
Professor Wilkinson was a really great! He explains the math concepts well in class. There was quite a bit of homework to do(paper and online)so don't get behind. For the paper homework he only graded for completion. There were a lot of take home quizzes and some were harder than the examples in class. The test weren't that hard either.
This class was very difficult and Wilkinson was not a great prof. There is a TON of homework and all of the quizzes are take-home but usually a lot harder than the in-class work. Though he is generally nice, he is definitely not the best choice for 1324.
Prof. Wilkinson is without a doubt the BEST math teacher I have EVER had. He has a way of making the things he teaches so simplistic for everyone to understand. Offers extra before each test and final. If you do all your homework and arent lazy you should do fine in this class! TAKE WILKINSON!!!!!!!!
NO GO No Go. REPEAT NO GO! Extremely hard test, take home homework with Photomath answers and correct work is given failing grades and no test reviews. And about 2 MML hws per day 7 days a week just take the MPE.
Very difficult take home quizzes. Tests are extremely difficult and he does not give any test reviews. I had to take my quizzes to the tutors and it took a group of them to figure out the answers. You'd be better off taking someone else.
Prof Wilkinson does a good job of teaching and following his packet. There are fairly easy take home quizzes and all homework is completion grade. Lots of extra credit options available too. Only downside is that homework is a lot harder than what is taught in class, but answers are in the back of the book and his tests are not over homework.
hes super sweet and funny and his lectures are fairly easy to follow. hes always willing to help you through something if youre struggling! take him for sure 10/10
He is a decent teacher. The take home quizzes are way harder than the examples given in class. The tests are very hard and he grades them just as hard.
Decent guy, however, borderline awful class. 6 exams throughout the semester, over 100 problems of homework for each test. Would highly recommend not taking this class. I would guess 35-45% of students dropped it and less than 10% made A's. Not an easy class, not an easy professor.
I recommend Prof Wilkinson! There is a lot of homework but the homework prepares you for the tests and quizzes so utilize them. Pay attention to the lecture and you'll do fine.
I took his summer month long minimester. I would not recommend this class if you are bad at pre-cal or new to the content, take it more as a refresher. Homework, quizzes, and tests are all on Mymathlab. Powerpoints and homework well prepare you for tests. I did about 2-3 hours of notes and homework each day and on test days, about 6.
Great class, if you show up and pay attention you'll do fine. Lectures are well explained and worked through by each subsection. Great guy, I enjoy his class and appreciate his pace and teaching style.
Best math teacher ever!!!! He was so nice, learned everyone's name by day 1. Even though math can be tough, he does a really good job at helping out and making sure you understand. TAKE HIS CLASS!! Spots do fill up really fast, so if you need to take a math, sign up fast, he is seriously the best.
So helpful, kind, and teaches well. Doesn't make anything harder than it has to be. Wants his students to succeed, and although his classes are almost 3 hours long, I am willing to take his 1325MATH because of how well he taught.
He is so amazing and so caring. I have gone into office hours on multiple occasions and he was there to help me. He would not give me the answers, but he helped me understand the material. I had a 78.9 and I asked him to round me up to an 80 and he said absolutely. As long as you go to class, show him that you care, he will do a lot to help you!!!!
Professor Wilkinson was great. If you pay attention in class and do ALL of the homework it should be a breeze. I would glance over a few problems before the test and made an A. I am good at math, however, he made it more fun. He is kind and cares about your success.
Professor Wilkinson is amazingggg and super funny! I took him for Math- 1325. The material is complex overall but he makes it SO MUCH easier to understand. Gives take-home quizzes in almost every class which are reasonably difficult but if you understand them, the tests seem much easier. I would 100% take him if you have the option to!!
Prof. Wilkinson is great. I took him for Cal 1 and he made it enjoyable. Lectures are in-depth and easy to follow. There were 12 at-home quizzes that were a good representation of the material on the exams, so if you got those well, you were good. No calculators allowed but I never had a problem with this, the class is built around concepts. 10/10
If you do not come into this class with an outstanding understanding of precalc and algebra you are screwed, there is no room for error and no room to catch back up
This class is light, if you have already taken calc in high school you won't have to try for your A. Prof Wilkinson is very easy to understand and answers any questions you have, a lot of his grades are take-home quizzes which you can easily check your answers on desmos. exams are a reflection of the take-home quizzes but weigh relatively heavily.
He is a great person and very willing to help. I did take this as an 8 week course and it was extremely difficult as well as fast pace. The test are weighted very heavy, and the only extra credit allowed was on the final.
Super nice and easy to ask questions. Calculus was hard for me, but he helped me when I asked. Lots of take-home quizzes and online homework. Tests make up a majority of the grade. If you don't have a solid understanding of algebra, take a 16-week simply due to the lack of time to learn/understand outside material.
Mr.Wilkinson was a fantastic professor; he was concerned with his students' understanding of the material over grades. He may have a challenging class, but it is worth it. Mr.Wilkinson treats math with baby steps and knows how to explain it in a way anyone can understand. A fantastic class and I would take it again.
I took his summer Plane trig class and this is what I gathered from it. I would say he has excessive amounts of work today, so you have the basic mymath lab homework on top of a written assignment that he grades really hard which are usually tougher than the homework's then at the end of the week discussion. then test and a written test on top
The course is a challenging, fast-paced course; however, Wilkinson did a great job at making the class as non-stressful as possible. We had take-home quizzes due every class period, but he always would grade with partial credit. His lectures are extremely heavy, but the class is taught well, and he is always open to answering questions/concerns.
Do not take. This is probably the hardest calculus professor at Blinn. No test reviews No extra credit. People make 30s to 50s on tests and there is no curve. Way to hard for calculus.
Such a great guy! He's great working at the class pace and making sure everyone understands the content. There isn't a curve or study guides but he drops your lowest quiz grades (2) and gives you opportunity to earn extra credit based on your attendance.
One of the best teachers I've ever had. He teaches Calculus in baby steps which helps a lot, and the test questions are a lot like the notes, but you will definetly need to do the part of studying the material, but other than that, it's a semi-difficult class but with a great teacher so you should do fine.
Professor Wilkinson was one of the best professors I've had. Lectures were both informative and entertaining, and Wilkinson was often cracking jokes with students while teaching. Homework and quizzes were graded leniently and helped reinforce the well-taught material, and the exams were very straightforward. Wonderful man, enjoyable class.
Giddy up, get ready for the ride of your lifetime, fellas! Dr. Wilkinson made the easiest content easier. I highly recommend taking his 8 week course!
One of my favorite professors I have ever had. He is great at teaching math and clearly explains everything. He implements memorizing strategies like getting students to repeat after him, which turns out to be very helpful. He gives extra credit and partial credit. I did the 8 week course with him and it was very easy. 100% take him for math
Material is taught fairly well however homework and quizzes are unnecessarily hard. Test are long with no multiple choice and graded with no curve. He is just fine with the test averages being well below 70. Take this professor if you want to devote all your time to calculus and have a semester of stress and struggle.
Awesome guy, would love to take calculus with him, but he didn't get assigned it
Awesome professor, would take him for any and every math class if i could. teaches material THOROUGHLY, making it very clear to understand. He makes confusing material easy to learn and has a goofy personality thats enjoyable. Tests are a little trickier than class but nothing you can't understand and work through with the materials he gives you.
Professor Wilkinson's class is a challenge, but his teaching methods make the content more digestible. The exams are tough, but using Unstuckstudy alongside the free textbook can really help prep. Overall, a rewarding course if you're willing to put in the work.
BEST PROF EVER! i was terrified going into an 8 week math course, but he made it so do-able! It is difficult sitting in a 3 hour lecture, but he gives breaks. He makes lectures entertaining and is always there to help when you are confused! There is a lot of homework, but again very do-able. Please take him for math!!!!
I took Mr. Wilkinson for math 1324 in a 8 week class and it was amazing. He gives out extra credit for not missing class and additional extra credit if he doesn't like exam scores. Easy take home quizs and online homework. We never had pop quizs and the tests were half multiple choice. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING MR.WILKINSONS CLASS.
I'm not good at math at all, but he does a great job making sure the class really understands everything. He's super nice and very approachable. Go to class to get the extra credit. I would highly recommend him for an 8-week class
Challenging course for me because math is difficult, but Wilkinson is absolutely incredible. He goes above and beyond to help and connect with his students. PLEASE take him you won't regret it.
he is an amazing teacher full of whimsy. His lectures are well paced. His tests are extremely difficult and lots of homework but overall, his personality made up for it. Very willing to help and to work with you if you just ask!
DONT. I'm good at math and a hardworking student. The amount of time for just hw/lectures was a sold 3 hours a day, and then 1-2+ hours if there was an assignment or quiz due that day also. Also the lectures are choppy videos and sometimes given out of order to learning the topic. The final review was 100x harder then the final. Dont recommend!!
Took him for Plane Trig and I'm glad I did. Super friendly guy and actually taught really well. If you had questions, he was always willing to help. The class isn't bad, just stay on top of the written and online homework that he gives you plenty of time to do. He gives plenty of extra credit on the test and I would for sure take his class again!
Does not respond quickly, tons of homework and no lecture videos except on one chapter and it only covers about 25% of the chapter. You had to use a white board and show every step to your honorlock camera when taking an exam which made it more difficult. His exams are also a lot more difficult than the assignments. You must use an external cam too
Awesome guy overall, can be tough at times but really cares that you pass
Professor Wilkinson explains things really well and makes sure you have a deep understanding of the content. He does give a lot of work and he grades pretty tough but it is beneficial because it helps you master the material for the tests. The final was very easy and he gives a quiz worth ten extra bonus points if you have two or less absences.
He is awesome !!! The best professor I take this semester.
