I think this is a pretty easy class as long as you listen. He always reviews the material that will be on the test.

The class is fairly easy. You MUST read!!! He will provide worksheets that go along with his power point presentation. This is a mini study guide. The class involvement is great, he never picks on anyone but gives them the opportunity to learn. in all I really enjoy this class.

Mr. Howard's okay, but I don't really recommend him. He makes his students look stupid sometimes, laughing at them. The tests were moderately difficult, the presentation is really easy if you do EVERYTHING on the list. Make sure you take a speech class before this class! Be prepared to hear anything and everything. Don't need the book; don't buy!

Don't buy the book; you will not need it. Study from the fill-in-the-blank notes and you will be fine. He is clearly passionate about teaching and made things interesting, I feel like I learned a lot. One paper/presentation, wasn't bad. I made an A easily.

He makes his class very fun, he is never boring. Makes you laugh and encourages discussing the material. With that said he is not very knowledgeable in other religions other than Christianity, which is sad since he is a Dr. is religion. But fun class just strict grading.

Dr. Howard's class was interesting and easy. All his tests are over his fill in the blank notes and the key terms in the book. In total, 3 tests and 1 research paper along with powerpoint presentation. He grades very sternly on attendance, and will drop your grade after 2 absences. All in all he's definitely a great professor.

Dr. Howard is an excellent professor. The material he covers and how he presents it amazing. Religion can be a boring subject to study, but the way he organizes his classes, makes it interesting and fun. 3 Exams and 1 research paper/Power point presentation is all you are graded, with some EASY extra credit lecture to attend.

The class is interesting and I enjoy learning about the different religions, I also enjoyed that he took a week to teach about the Dalai Lama. One thing I did not like was his obvious bias towards Christianity, but other than that a fun teacher. DO THE RESEARCH PAPER.Do not miss class because attendence is worth the same as tests. Intro to World Religions class was an excellent study. Lectures were good and overall laid back and easy as long as you pay attention. You do a presentation and report but I found it fairly easy and fun as you get to pick your interest. Highly reccomend

He give you a number for your topic to do 1 research paper with powerpoint presentation 15 minutes also dress nice,& 3 test. Your 3rd test is the final, also do extra credit 5 out of 6 discussion board, & come to class.

Doctor Howard is my favorite, very informative and he teaches whilst being a class A clean comedian. The most interesting course I have taken and the coolest guy to learn from. 10/10 would take more courses if possible.

Dr. Howard's class was more than just an ordinary class, it was a journey around the world. As Buddha once said "It is better to travel well than to arrive." I would not say it is an easy class, but a good class. If you take the World Religion class, you will be required to write a 5 page research paper AND present a 15 minute power point both on an assigned religion given at the beginning of semester. The tests you will have to study, but can pass. I learned a lot!

I took Professor Howard's Learning FrameworkEDUC-1300 Class. His lectures were helpful, informative, & NEVER boring. He keeps your attention the whole time with his lively charisma and good humor. He's very understanding and helpful. The assignments were not hard at all. Just have a good attitude and participate in this class and you'll do fine.

Best instructor Northlake has! Too bad he doesn't teach more classes. Makes it very interactive and interesting. LOTS of lecture notes, maps, & vocab words to study. Dr. Howard is one of the best instructors I have ever had. His compassion and genuine interest in philosophy is refelected in his teaching style as well as in his constant communication with his students. If you follow the assignment schedule and study the material, there is not reason not to ace his course. I would recommend his class to anyone.

I took the class online in wintermester, what it means that you need to be ready to read. My personal criteria, it was not a lot but if you don't like to read, just be ready. Take a quiz per chapter, and then a quiz per unit. I got an A in this class. It is easy to get it, just do your job.

Class was so easy I finished it in 3 days over a summer mester.

Dr Howard is the best professor in all of north lake college. I took him for philosophy and I made an A. His class is very easy, and he makes it fun and interesting. There is some reading to get done, but if you do, you're guranteed an easy A. He has a love for what he does and you can see it in the way he teaches. Would recommend to anyone.

I cannot get enough of this class. I have never enjoyed school until I took Dr. Howard. He has everyone engaged during class. His notes are mostly fill in the blank. Tests are all multiple choice/matching. Try not to miss any lectures. Even though his notes are available online, he has you write down some other important notes on the side. LOVED!!!

He is funny, clear in his expectations for students, and the assignments given aren't particularly difficult. His introductory course provides a very well-rounded view of assignments in college and ensures that new students can properly manage their time and complete assignments when given.

His lectures are very interesting. For the test just make sure you study the lecture notes mainly and the vocab. You only really need the textbook for the vocab so I would just suggest to share one with a friend. He grades fairly easy and their is extra credit on the test. Attendance is a grade in his class.

I took Dr. Howard for spring 2017 he is a great professor and truly cares about his students. He want you to understand religion and get an understanding of where religions started and the effects it has had over history. His test are easy and a bit demanding at the same time you must read the vocab words assigned and go over notes.

This has been by far the most influential course that I have taken in my academic career to date. I was a life changing and invaluable experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Lectures are awesome! He is overall a funny person and has a great personality. Dr. Howard understands we all make mistakes but he reminds us daily of the materials we need. Vocabulary is necessary to pass the test! Multiple choice with matching and fill in the blank.

Dr. Howard is so funny and nice! He does give a lot of homework but it's so easy and he gives you so much time to do it so it's an easy 100. I recommend taking his 8-week course. Dr. Howard is a great professor! As long as you follow the rubric for the paper and study for the exams, you should do well. I would definitely take his class again. His class has enlightened me on all the religious faiths and its history. You will learn a lot from him.

I took Phil 1301 during summer 2023, Dr. Darryl E Howard is the best professors I ever had. His classes is really fun and interesting. In this class we had to take quiz from text book, exams are open-book, 3 discussion boards and a reflection paper.. One thing I really don't like about this class was some assignments were due 12 noon.
