He is a very good professor, he will really make you think about not only the coursework, but about yourself and your own life. The only thing is, you must attend class and be on time/stay. He also really values participation so if you can't do those things then you may want to find a different professor.

Don't bother getting the book unless you want to teach yourself the material. 65% of lecture is about his past. However, he is incredible to have a conversation with. Full of information and experience!

Amazing teacher. Made me realize that I'm not 100% sure on what I want to do in the field. Doesn't fill your head with crap like other professors. Wish I could have gotten to know him better, but I don't think he liked me. Oh well, got an A anyways.

Forget about taking notes in Dr. Driggers's class, its impossible his hand writing is that of my 14 month old niece's. However I recommend him completely! Fairly easy A and a very interesting class.

I took his accelerated winter course for intro criminal justice. He taught the basics of the course and mostly told interesting stories about his career. The winter class was a 12 day course and he let us out early every day. DONT USE YOUR PHONE, if you don't want to listen to his experiences then he will ask you to leave. Definitely recommend him!

Dr. Driggers is as best as they come. He truely cares about his students and is not out to hurt your GPA. He is super easy, only 1 1500 word paper and 1 super easy final. If you don't take him, you don't know what you're missing out on. Sad that the semester ended.

I had Driggers many years ago - almost 10 - and he is still one of the most impactful educators I've come across in the years since I took his class. He was passionate and knowledgeable and I found his work and methods engaging and novel.

Gives real world advice! Open note exams. He weeds out people who do not want to be in his class in the first 2 meetings. Stick it out and you're in for a treat. Write down the grade u feel u deserve. One paper due not hard - standard MLA. Majoring in sociology? - prob not for you. Caveat: Self-practice is a must to be good at anything.

Very excited about sociology and needs you to be on his level for your class to run smoothly. No Phones or you'll be chewed out. No outside work or its even worse. Every class missed is a 5 point deduction from your final grade (WOW). You really have to give him your all because he gives you his. Good Professor, but a little much for most students.

He's a really great professor. He comes off as a bit rough around the edges, and he does talk quite a lot about his life and his line of work, but a lot of it is interesting. He really cares about his students, and works with them if they have trouble. There was one essay and one final that he let the class use their notes. Only thing is no phones.

Participate, show up to class, don't be late, don't bring your phone out... and you'll get an A. He's dark/deep at times- for you all who like intellectual conversations, this is the class for you. One paper and one final- open book. My favorite teacher at HCC! Show your interested and he will do his best to help you in class and also in life.
